Ana R, supermodel, actress and blogger in Hong Kong

Tall, beautiful and owner of modelling agency Model One, Ana R has done a ton of modelling work.  Appearing in events and fashion shows to gracing the covers of top magazines, this Hong Kong beauty is not slowing down anytime soon.  SimplySxy catches up with Ana to find out more.

SimplySxy:  Hi Ana, thanks for taking the time to speak with us.  Do share with our readers your ethnicity and how you came to reside in Hong Kong.

Ana: I’m Half Korean and Half Puerto Rican. My dad was stationed in Korea and met my mom on a blind date. Well kind of a blind date. Koreans are old school about dating and you can’t go on a date alone so my mom’s friend asked her to join her and my dad’s friend did the same. I’m the first mix on either side of the family and ended up in HK after many years of travelling like most models do. Living out of your suitcase and moving from city to city every 2 to 3 months. I started in Paris at the age of 14. I came to Asia at the age of 20.

SimplySxy: How did you get into modeling?

Ana: My mom put me into modelling school as it’s something to do on the weekends so I won’t start dating. Yep thats right. Mom was worried I would end up like most girls at my school at the time. In a gang or having kids at the age of 13. Lets just say I did not fit into my surroundings. And my mom did everything from working 3 jobs and to keep me busy and out of everyday problems that was around where we lived. It just was not a safe place.

    Ana R1a

SimplySxy: As the founder and co-owner of Modelone, can you share a tip for aspiring models out there who are looking for that breakthrough?

Ana: I started Modelone with 2 other partners. The name Modelone comes from just having one model, just myself. As we grow to being one of the top 10 agencies in HK, I’ve become a little more relaxed about mentioning I’m the owner of the agency. My biggest worry is that people would not see that I look at it as a business and put my heart and soul into the company just as my partners have. so it was always best to keep it low key. I started up Modelone to help models and to help them get to their dreams. When I started out as a model I did not have anyone to help me and had to learn most of the stuff on my own. It was not easy. I love being the big sister of Modelone. and I love to see the girls grow and blossom to amazing women. We are like a family style agency.

SimplySxy: What is your fashion style?

Ana: My style is a little street and a little chic. Coming from a poor background, I learned to make things my own style by taking 2 dresses and putting them together to make a whole new one of kind dress. (My mom also was a seamstress so I picked up a lot of tricks from her) And shopping at markets and 2nd hand stores was lots of fun for me. And as a kid, I was so thin and tall nothing fitted me so my mom would always have to change something around so it would fit. I do love my high end brands but more for bags and shoes, for all my basic stuff, I get H&M and Zara or Top Shop.

SimplySxy: Do you have any interesting hobbies?

Ana: I love cooking. Always looking for fun new recipe to try. I also love to sew so that keeps me busy. Also looking at things in the market to see what I can add to change in a outfit. Taking care of my dogs. I have 3. Gucci (14) Angel (8) Lilly (10 months) Gucci and Angel are Mini Schnauzer and Lilly is a Mix German Shepard. (Adopted Lilly last year at the Hong Kong Dog Rescue).

SimplySxy: Have you ever had a bad kissing experience?

Ana: I think we all have had a bad kissing experience. I don’t really remember mine.  As it was a very long time ago.

    Ana Ra

SimplySxy:  What is your idea of a romantic date?

Ana: Easy! A dinner at home with my husband and he does all the dishes after the meal. LOL! I love going to the sushi bar. I think it’s the best place to take a date for 3 reasons. 1) You are siting next to each other (Who wouldn’t like that on a date. Most dining, you are sitting across form each other) 2) It’s all about sharing your food. Most dishes comes with 2 pieces or are designed for sharing. 3) Siting at the sushi bar is pretty quiet so you can have a conversation with your date. (And yes if you’re not into sushi, you can order cooked food at the bar as well. My husband is not a fan of sushi but he loves other dishes).

SimplySxy:  Thank you for your time out Ana and before we end off, how do you define “sexy”?

Ana: Sexy to me is something you feel on the inside. If you feel sexy on the inside, no matter what you wear or where you are, it will shine out of you. I sometimes love to have dirty thoughts to get that sexy smile when I’m at a shoot. I find it really funny how so many people think dressing sexy is what makes you sexy. Sexy is a feeling and we all have it.

  • Thien Ngyuen – CLEO Bachelor 2014

Thien Ngyuen – CLEO Bachelor 2014

Handsome, with a super-fit physique and great personality, Thien Nguyen is the guy all ladies want to bring home to mom.  Winning CLEO magazine’s Bachelor of the Year 2014 has certainly thrust this Australian personal trainer into the spotlight in the past few months and we’re delighted to ask Thien a few questions to get to know him better!

SimplySxy: Hey Thien, it’s a fantastic opportunity for us to interview you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from.

Thien: I am Vietnamese but was born and raised in Australia. I currently live in Sydney and work as a Personal Trainer/Martial Arts instructor running my own business, Hard Personal Training at Dong Thanh Alliance Martial Arts.

SimplySxy: Being crowned Cleo Australia’s Bachelor of the Year 2014 is a massive achievement. Has a lot changed for you since winning the title?

Thien: It is definitely a highlight of my life! I became an ambassador for Lenovo since then and have been given opportunities with agencies to further my modelling/acting career. Other than that, I am the same person with some nicer clothes and a more trendy haircut!

    TN2

SimplySxy: You must be even more attention from the ladies. Do you get a lot of request from females requesting to be their personal trainer?

Thien: It is funny how I got more female attention after winning Cleo Bachelor. It may have been all a co-incidence? Haha. I get a lot of request to train models/actors that want to make it in the industry. I can’t complain. Loving it!

    5

SimplySxy: What are some fitness tips you can share to achieve that amazing body like yours?

Thien: Eat well and train hard. Avoid the 3 white poisons in your diet; Salt, sugar and flour. Remember, it is 80% diet and 20% training to achieve that sexy body!

    [1409] Bachelor shoot

SimplySxy: Have you gotten any weird or odd requests from female fans?

Thien: Nothing too weird, yet. A female fan offered to be my Vietnamese tutor and others just asked for a selfie because they were in love with my smile.

SimplySxy: What type of girls are you into?

Thien: I am attracted to girls that a down to earth, ambitious and with just the right amount of independence. Girls that enjoy adventure and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty tick my boxes.

    TN4

SimplySxy: Your idea of a romantic date?

Thien: I envisage a candlelit dinner on a yatch or at least overlooking the city lights with a violinist playing my date her favourite song. A romantic stroll by the beach would follow ending with the two of us enjoying each others company whilst gazing at the stars. I must have seen this in a movie somewhere! lol

    [1409] Bachelor shoot

SimplySxy: We appreciate you taking your time to answer our questions Thien. One last questions before we end off, how do you define “sexy”?

Thien: Having the confidence to be true and express yourself without the fear of judgement.

  • Molly Truong, the hottest Entrepreneur, Mother and Gamer!

Molly Truong, the hottest Entrepreneur, Mother and Gamer!

It’s not everyday you get to meet someone who is of Vietnamese, Chinese, Spanish, German, Puerto Rican and Irish ethnicity.   Put the best of them together and you get the gorgeous Molly Truong, whose beauty matches her business acumen,  running both the very successful Hot Import Nights and Fun Nights Out entertainment companies.  Constantly ranked as one of the hottest import models in the industry, Molly is one beautiful lady you can’t take your eyes off after setting them on her.

SimplySxy: Hi Molly, thank you for this opportunity to interview you on SimplySxy. Please share with us how you got into modeling?

Molly: It’s an honor to be considered for an interview! I got into modeling about 3–4 years ago when I was approached by a student photographer to be her test subject. Shortly after doing a couple of shoots with her, I noticed an ad from Prestigious Models and decided to submit myself. Next thing I know, I got accepted into the agency and quickly started networking to build my portfolio.

    2

SimplySxy: What will you say has really changed about yourself since you started in the industry?

Molly: First off, I became a mother. Second, I would definitely say my business etiquette. I came into the industry as a freshman/sophomore studying International Business and Computer Science.

SimplySxy: You never fail to look amazing in all your photos. Is there a secret to looking so fantastic?

Molly: Being comfortable and confident is key, but definitely being on the same level of understanding with the photographer on the concept you’re trying to portray. I work with only a handful of photographers because I trust their skills and they’re supportive of any new ideas I throw at them. Other than that, I try to stay healthy so that my skin and figure don’t need retouching or editing. I’m not a fan of photoshop and like for my fans to see the real me. If there is any editing done on me, it’s mostly to remove a bruise I’ve attained from running into something! I’m incredibly clumsy.

SimplySxy: What makes a guy stand out to you?

Molly: I’m off the market, but what had attracted me to my man was his nurturing nature, kindness and interest in understanding me. I would constantly drive solo between NorCal and SoCal and he would always want to come along with to keep my company and to ensure I wouldn’t get into an accident. I was shocked someone would want to sit there for 5–7 hours per trip and spend that entire time talking to me and sharing our thoughts on certain ideas about the world. Our conversations range from music, life experiences, to the existence of Annunaki. I’m a huge SciFi nerd, so the fact that anyone wanted to sit there and talk about aliens for hours was pretty impressive.

    6

SimplySxy: Your biggest sexual turn off?

Molly: Brains! I’m not easily impressed, but the depth of someone’s intelligence is always something to admire, whether it’s a turn on or not. With that being said, I’m more than happy with my partner’s gray matter!

SimplySxy: What do you think is your hottest asset?

Molly: My confidence and business skills. I have no fears and can generally pitch any crazy idea and make it happen. Physically, I believe my lips and my eyes are quite entrancing, or so I’ve been told.

SimplySxy: How will you describe your fashion style if you’re looking for a sexy night out?

Molly: I’m more of a home body, so my typical sexy night involves wearing sweats from the H&M mens’ department! For a fun night out, I’m extremely conservative so I’ll switch it up between urban and cocktail dresses. I have meetings throughout the day and evening, so my wardrobe tends to be multi-functional from fashionable corporate to instant night out attire.

SimplySxy: It has been a great pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please tell us how you define “Sexy”.

Molly: I define “sexy” as being able to exude confidence and portraying yourself in the most empowering way. I don’t believe it to be just a physical portrayal, like stripping down to your skivvies. I feel that people tend to be drawn to those who have a direction in life, the passion to achieve their goals, and ability to believe in themselves because it evokes something from within that sparks either admiration or inspiration. There’s nothing sexier than a woman or man that takes life by the horns and helps others to achieve that same mentality. Thank you so much for featuring me!

  • Pinky Chiu reveals her sexy romantic getaway choice

Pinky Chiu reveals her sexy romantic getaway choice

Pinky Chiu is one of the contestants of Miss Hong Kong Diva 2015 which takes place tonight.  SimplySxy takes this opportunity to get her thoughts on it, her favourite body part and her idea of a romantic getaway.

SimplySxy: Hi Pinky, thank you for taking the time for this interview on SimplySxy. Can you tell us about yourself and where you’re from?

Pinky: Thanks for your invitation. I’m Pinky from Hong Kong and I just started my career in modelling. As I am still new to the industry, I am learning to be more out-going and build up my confidence as I go along.

SimplySxy: You’re a contestant of Miss Hong Kong Diva 2015. Please share with us more about this contest.

Pinky: Miss Hong Kong Diva 2015 is a competition looking for women who exude great style and personality with confidence, and having the change to express their own style without letting others influence who they are or who they should be.

    10811260_10152942849101834_491895929_n

SimplySxy: What’s your beauty regime like and what are your must have beauty products?

Pinky: My skin is sensitive, so I rarely use skin care products and makeup. Only if makeup is necessary, the cleansing step would be the most important and lotion which contains sheep placenta extract are my favourite and it is also good for dry weather.

SimplySxy: How would you define your personal dress style?

Pinky: Simple and neatly dressed. My clothes are usually of one colour and I love one piece clothing such as dresses. They are easy to carry and there isn’t a need to spend too much time to mix and match which is not my fancy.

    4

SimplySxy: What do you love most about being a model?

Pinky: Before becoming a model, I was feeling inferior to everyone and inconspicuous. Modelling has made me sure of myself, I receive a lot of encouragement from people who praise me for my modelling. And, I have also become more talkative haha.

SimplySxy: Which is the favourite part of your body?

Pinky: My waist. I always have firm abs even if I seldom do exercise and don’t diet . Haha.

    Pinky2

SimplySxy: If you had a choice of a sexy romantic getaway, what will it be?

Pinky: Candlelight dinners are not my type of romance. I prefer warmth, lying in bed in my lover’s arm, whispering to each other and then letting things happened.

    5

SimplySxy: Thank you for the interview Pinky and all the best for Miss Diva 2015. One last questions before we end off, how do you define “sexy”?

Pinky: Sexy doesn’t mean having to be scantily or curvaceous. It’s more about your temperament and virtue. It’s hard to “see” it but just be confident and elegant.

  • Helena Chan, sexy celebrity model and TV host from HongKong

Helena Chan, sexy celebrity model and TV host from HongKong

Meet the stunning Helena Chan, TV host, designer, and professional model who represented Hong Kong in Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 1.  Half Swedish and half Chinese, this exotic, stylish celebrity beauty has been on the cover of top fashion magazines, walked down the runway in multiple fashion shows and has even launched her own shoe collection.  Read the interview with Helena and the amazing photographs she has provided which we simply can’t get enough of!

SimplySxy: Hi Helena it’s a great pleasure to interview you on SimplySxy. You’ve gone from being a contestant on Asia’s Next Top Model in 2012 to one of the most recognisable faces now, hosting TV shows being and on the cover of fashion magazines. Tell us something about yourself that most of your fans wouldn’t expect.

Helena: One thing I think my fans don’t know about me is that I am pretty shy and find it hard to open up to new people. It takes a while before I feel comfortable being myself around someone I have just met.

    4

SimplySxy: What’s something a guy can do to get your attention?

Helena: I think that kindness goes a long way. If a guy is kind and polite they instantly get my attention. There is nothing worse than a guy who is trying too hard to be cool, haha it’s a big turn off.

SimplySxy: Worst pick up line you’ve heard?

Helena: The worst pick up line would have to be this one time I was at a bar with my girlfriend having some drinks. This guy came up to me, stood in-between me and my friend (with his back to her) in mid conversation and asked me the strangest question. He asked “Would you like to see a photo of me topless on my phone?”. I was just stunned, and said no thanks, picked up my drink and moved to a table with my friend.

SimplySxy: You’ve shot some fantastic bikini and lingerie photos. What is your favourite lingerie you can’t do without?

Helena: I love lingerie, and hope one day to have the chance to design my own collection. One item I can’t live without is my favourite strapless black lace bra. It’s so comfortable and looks good under anything! I even wear it as a top sometimes with high waisted skirts and a simple jacket.

    1

SimplySxy: Favourite part of your body?

Helena: My favourite body part are my legs. I never seem to gain weight on my legs, they are always long & slim.

SimplySxy: What is the sexiest/craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Helena: The craziest thing I have ever done is work for a year as a dancer in a burlesque club. I loved working there and dancing for an audience, it really gave me confidence and I felt empowered as a women.

    3

SimplySxy: Do you have any exciting projects in the pipeline for 2015 which you like to share with our readers?

Helena: 2015 is going to be a crazy year for me. I am developing my shoe collection further and organising a launch event. (The Helena Chan Collection is now available at www.sleeh.com) I am also going to be travelling all over Asia modelling as well as working on a pitch for my very own TV show. I love to keep busy.

    2

SimplySxy: Thank you very much for the interview opportunity Helena. Before we go, we like to know how you define “sexy”.

Helena: There is nothing sexier than a person who had a good sense of humour. You can defiantly laugh a girl in to bed no matter what you look like, haha!

  • Kyla Gray, knockout combination of beauty and brains

Kyla Gray, knockout combination of beauty and brains

Kyla Gray is a Korean model who has been living in America her whole life.  Multi-talented, lending her support for a non-profit organisation dealing with depression and with a strong interest in Political Science, Kyla takes her time out to answer our questions with this gorgeous beauty.

SimplySxy: Hi Kyla, thank you for being on SimplySxy. We can’t help but notice the amazing photo that you have on your website. Could you share with us your secret to looking so effortless chic in photoshoots?

Kyla Gray: I think it’s a mixture of a few thing. One, a good photographer. Two, being comfortable in front of the camera. Cameras take honest shots and they can see right through you. Three, a lot of takes! I will take hundreds of photos in one session and we will use 10-20 photos!

    7

SimplySxy: Being brought up in an Irish-Italian family in New Jersey must have been a most interesting experience. How has this unique upbringing shaped your perspective in life?

Kyla: I owe my family everything in life. They’ve shaped me to be a strong, independent, free thinking, open minded, hard working individual. They helped me see the weaknesses in other people and how not to let them define who I am. They have taught me love and how to appreciate life. With me, the glass is always half full; I can see the good in any situation.

    3

SimplySxy: As a seasoned and versatile artist, could you share with us some of your most challenging projects and gigs?

Kyla: I think each project I take on has it’s own challenges. Trying to produce new photos can be hard. I have the figure of a “Maxim” model so if I want to expand out of that.. it can be fairly difficult. I also feel that as an Asian-American woman trying to break into the bigger projects in New York City, the competition is real.

    5

SimplySxy: Taking a break from one’s acting career may sometimes be a risky move. What was your main pull factor for doing so in 2004 and are there any particular reasons for choosing to major in Political Science?

Kyla: I was in high school and wanted a social life back. I would go straight from school into the city for auditions, back home to do homework and then I’d go to bed and do it all over again. I remember I had to arrive to summer camp two days late because I was filming something. It’s difficult being so young and having such a complex lifestyle. I was also involved in gymnastics, voice lessons and acting lessons. It was a lot.  Political Science intrigues me and I loved learning about it. I studied Middle Eastern politics primarily and still would love to visit some of the areas over there.

    6

SimplySxy: Every girl has something she can’t live without in her wardrobe. What is yours?

Kyla: Black leggings. You can wear them with anything, dress them up or down. I feel this should be a staple in any woman’s closet!

    2

SimplySxy: Do you have any upcoming projects in the pipeline which you like to share with our readers?

Kyla: Yes! For the month of February I am donating 50% of the proceeds being sold at kylagray.bigcartel.com to a non-profit called the You Rock Foundation. It deals with depression; it’s estimated that nearly 20 million people are affected by depression within the US… that’s just the US, nevermind throughout the world. I am selling one-of-a-kind items this time around, so anything people buy will be truly special.

    4

SimplySxy: One last question before we sign off. As Miss COED for the month of February 2014, how do you define sexy?

Kyla: Being beautiful inside and out.

Find out more about Kyla and her amazing photos on her website ilovekylagray.com and follow her on facebook, tumblr, instagram and twitter!

Ali Le — The Sexy Model from LA

Ali Le shares on SimplySxy, her secret to looking fantastic, favourite type of lingerie and her definition of sexy.

SimplySxy: Hi Ali, thank you for being on SimplySxy. How did you get into modelling?

Ali Le: Hi guys! Thank you for having me. 🙂 I actually started modeling children’s products in Asia when I was young. After moving to LA, I realized my passion for it—specifically for print. I have so much fun telling a picture story through facial expressions and body language!

    image2

SimplySxy: Share with our readers about your secret to looking so fantastic. What’s your beauty regime like?

Ali: I like to think that I eat pretty healthy, minus my weekly cheat day. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies are really important. I usually like to start my day off with a smoothie.  Saunas and steam rooms are really good for your skin. As is green tea! I definitely do drink more green tea than the average human being, and I never ever wear make-up to bed.

SimplySxy: What is your dream modeling gig?

Ali: Hm … that’s a tough one. I think my goal would be to have a spread or a cover in an international FHM or a Maxim. I would also love if the gig was in an exotic location!

SimplySxy: You must have a lot of suitors asking you out. What tips can you give to guys out there who like to ask a model out and date them?

Ali: Just be yourself! There is nothing I value more than a kindhearted person. Someone with a unique soul. Someone with passion and drive, but also knows how to let loose. Believe me, there are a ton of good looking guys out there but many of them are totally full of themselves. That’s an instant turn off for me.

Ali: I recently did a photoshoot with a major woman crush of mine at the SLS hotel in Las Vegas. I was kind of nervous because I’ve never really talked to her before, but she ended up being super sweet. We had so much fun shooting and the pictures came out amazing.

Ali: I’m going to be honest here, I kind of have a lingerie collection. It has it’s own half of my closet. I love anything from pretty pink babydolls to fiercely lacy outfits with garter belts. You have to change it up!

  • Interview with the authors of Taken By The Sheikh

Interview with the authors of Taken By The Sheikh

SimplySxy: Hi Christina, thank you for taking your time out and for sharing your exciting upcoming project with us. Could you tell us more about Secret Confessions and the inspiration behind this story?

    Christina:
Thank you for having us! My brief for my Secret Confessions heroine was New Age/old money. Willow came to me soon after Escape invited me to join the continuity. She’s been in love with her best friend Seb since she was 17, nine years ago. I had a lot of fun with rose petals in this story (and so did Willow and Seb!)
Cathleen: Our publisher Escape Publishing gave us the general storyline. I had to write a domme which I found terribly difficult as it is opposite to my nature. Mind you, I could learn from Nella and I think I’ve grown tougher since I wrote her. The dog obeys me sometimes now. Still working on my husband.
Mel: My storyline is a Cinderella type of story. The wealthy, handsome man who sweeps the penniless waitress and uni student off her feet. She’s the much younger wife in this series who adores her husband as much as he adores her. It’s a sweet romance with hot sex scenes. I loved writing this.

SimplySxy: Congratulations on Taken by the Sheikh for topping the best seller lists on Amazon UK. We would like to know about the collaboration efforts behind this series. How did the idea of having three novels with different writers come about?

Christina: I’d wanted to be involved in a boxed set for a while but had no idea how to go about doing it. Then Cathleen contacted me to ask if I’d be interested in a collaboration with her and Mel. The three of us have been good friends for several years and I love their work, so this was a very easy decision to make!
Cathleen: I really like Mel Tescho’s and Christina Phillips’ work so I asked them to collaborate in a boxed set. Mel was already writing a sheikh story so I said lets run with that. We have come up with other ideas too. Taken by the Biker, Taken by the Highlander, Taken by the Yeti.
Mel: What Cathleen said! But umm, Taken by the Yeti?? Lol—maybe we’ll do a purple prose book with lots of silly OTT characters!

SimplySxy: One of the challenges we can think of with having different writers is to keep the story and tone going on. How did Cathleen, Mel and yourself work to put everything together?
Christina: We worked out the overall story arc and figured out which bits of information needed to be shown in each book, and once we knew where we were going with that it wasn’t so hard to write our own stories. As for the cover, I wanted Henry Cavill 🙂
Cathleen: For some reason this didn’t seem so hard. We workshoped ideas. Christina is the most romantic of us all so we stuck her in the middle. I have the toughest hero so I rounded the books off, but for the next boxed set we will change places. I think the concept of having three brothers in terrible trouble worked well. Getting the right hero for the cover was the hardest because Mel fancies anemic looking heroes. Fortunately we all had one vote on the cover choice and Christina went my way, which was lucky because Mel’s choice of cover male really needed a good steak.
Mel: We did work really well together, and our critiques for one another were brilliant in different ways as we all have our strengths and weaknesses. If anything came up we weren’t sure on, or we had a brainwave, we’d email and then agree/disagree pretty quickly. We had to make certain we were all willing to give and take. And I still like my Johnny Depp lookalike cover model …

SimplySxy: The three of you are also doing Secret Confessions: Sydney Housewives. Please share with our readers some insights into each of your individual novels?

    2

Christina: Willow is the daughter of a beautiful socialite who always manages to make Willow feel inadequate, and an A list Hollywood action movie star. Although Willow’s been in love with Seb for years, there’s a huge obstacle preventing them from getting together. But Seb is nothing if not resourceful!
Cathleen: My readers have said Nella is the most shocking of the housewives to read. It made me proud and glad I write under an assumed name. I really had to dig deep as a writer to come up with some of the things Nella did to her husband. I think I scorched my eyeballs.
Mel: Camilla is the young, innocent, gorgeous redhead who is a little too trusting. Her husband, Drake, only wants to protect his wife. The trouble is most of the women in her husband’s circle aren’t so enamored by her.

SimplySxy: What’s your favourite genre within erotica and why?

Christina: I’m currently into bad boy heroes. It’s part of the fantasy of taming the beast; that love brings even the baddest boy to his knees.
Cathleen: I’m really enjoying heroine abduction stories and zombies so long as the zombies are the external conflict and not the hero.
Mel: I love alpha heroes, particularly a hero with some kind of superpower—I’ve been reading a lot of dragon/phoenix/vampire (paranormal) stories and hope they make a big resurgence soon! I’m working on a paranormal story with a mutant hero.

SimplySxy: If you could bring one of your characters to life, which one would it be?
Christina: I still have a real soft spot for the hero of my second historical romance set in Roman Britain. Bren has been through hell and is so tortured I just want to wrap my arms around him and make everything better. I’ve recently had the rights returned to me on this book by Penguin and will be self publishing it (along with the other three books in this series) later this year.
Cathleen: I want to meet my captain of BASE, a novel I’ve just turned in to Escape publishing. I lived on a navy base for some time next door to a navy mine clearance diver. He had the best body I’ve ever seen and personality to match. Actually the truth is I can’t remember his personality.
Mel: Definitely my mutant hero—talk about tortured! Also, not many men could carry me in a hurry, but he’d do it with ease …

SimplySxy: Do you have any unusual writing rituals and how do you get yourself in the mood to write?
Christina: I don’t think my rituals are unusual, as I need to check my emails before I start writing. Then I need to check Facebook and maybe Twitter. Then I put some lip balm on (this helps me think …) As for getting in the mood, when you have deadlines poking you in the eye you just have to get on with it no matter how much you’d rather be doing something else!
Cathleen: I have to tire my dog out by taking him to the park, otherwise he slams down my computer lid with his paws, which is really annoying. I also have to go, Where’s the possum,” so he runs around looking for it, which buys me more two-handed writing time.
Mel: I like to write freehand where there are no distractions. I find at least half of my book is written that way. Also looming deadlines really tend to get you in the mood LOL.

SimplySxy: There are a lot of aspiring erotica/erotic romance writers who aim to be successful, which usually translates to having a best seller or being nominated/winning an award. What is your advice to them?
Christina: Read across the genre and also outside it so you’re aware of what’s out there. I belong to RWAus and highly recommend joining a writing organization for the support, encouragement and advice. Consider teaming up with critique partners or entering contests for honest feedback on your work. This not only helps strengthen your writing, it helps toughen your skin which is vital since when you’re published not everyone is going to love your work. And they will let you know…
Cathleen: Be prolific, work at your craft all the time. If you self publish make sure, you use a good book designer and editor. Be professional at all times. Practise, practise, practise.
Mel: Don’t just jump in and expect to write a best seller first go around (though this has been known to happen). Most authors spend years honing their craft, entering competitions and joining writing groups like RWA. It’s a HUGE learning curve.

SimplySxy: A well written and descriptive sex scene is always loved by most readers as it allows the mind to imagine things to the last detail. But erotic novels are surely more than just steamy sex scenes?
Christina: I’ve always enjoyed writing steamy romance and while I also write erotic romance the key word for me here is “romance”. I find reading a sex scene without any emotional connection between the characters very meh. That doesn’t mean the characters need to be in love with each other. My characters often don’t love each other until towards the end of the book, but there’s always that emotional connection as well as the blazing hot lust. For me, the sex scenes are pivotal to the characters’ growth, and afterwards dynamics between them have changed in some way or another.
Cathleen: I tend to write romance and erotic romance rather than erotica these days. You still have to have well-rounded believable characters, a goal they are trying to reach, a well thought out internal and external conflict that makes your reader want to read on and a good story. As a writer you are still using all the writing techniques you would for any genre, the difference is when I write a sex/love scene I slow the camera down and put in more detail. Sex itself is not enough. As an author, you have to hook your reader with a compelling story. If it is erotic romance, then the hook needs to have a sexual premise and the sex can happen sooner than in a traditional romance. The couples often have sex then find love.
Mel: A sex scene without showing the characters emotions is like watching something mechanical unfolding. I’m presently writing a story (Ours to Share) where two women and a man have amazing chemistry at first sight, but translating the sex scene into something emotive when they don’t know one another isn’t easy.

SimplySxy: A creative mind and vivid imagination can definitely bring a story to life, but there is definitely a ceiling to it. Surely experience between the sheets and in the bedroom is going to help in coming out with these stories?
Christina: Authors are always going to bring some of their own experience into their books, whether directly or indirectly. And when you need more, there’s the fun of research. For example, I’ve never been in a d/s relationship but that’s something I can research so my characters are authentic. Love and sex are two very primal human needs which make them fascinating to explore and read about, but the imagination is a wonderful thing and doesn’t always have a ceiling.
Cathleen: My husband is very embarrassing, telling anyone who will listen that he is my muse and while there are certainly some elements of truth in that statement, there is only so much the body can do. You still have to have a compelling story. The lovemaking has to be a plot point, moving the romance forward in some way. You can’t as an erotic romance author write a book full of vanilla sex. You do have to be more creative. Sometimes I do test out the husband guinea pig but not all the time. When writing my Secret Housewife, I wrote scenes I personally don’t find remotely erotic nor did I try out the things Nella did to her husband, so imagination can play a large role. It had to in this case because Nella was plain scary to me.
Mel: My husband wishes he was my guinea pig LOL. If only he could do half the stuff my paranormal heroes do (gusty sigh)—still, there’s bound to be a grain of experience in every sex scene.

SimplySxy: Thank you very much for your time and taking the effort to answer these questions.

  • Sukki Singapora – The World’s First Burlesque Artist from Singapore

Sukki Singapora – The World’s First Burlesque Artist from Singapore

Sukki Singapora, the first international burlesque performer from Singapore, is a global star who has performed in world class shows around the world.  She has been recognised for her efforts and achievements worldwide, having been nominated for London’s Asian Women of Achievement Awards for being a role model to all Asian women and men in the Arts scene.  Sukki has been featured on FHM India and Esquire Magazine, and was the first ever Burlesque performer to receive a Royal Invitation to Buckingham Palace.  SimplySxy takes this unique opportunity to interview Sukki on her amazing costumes, her role as the founder of The Singapore Burlesque Club and the Sexhibition cinema commercial.

SimplySxy: Hi Sukki, we are really pleased to have you on SimplySxy. We have watched a number of your splendid performances on YouTube and are intrigued by the eclectic mix of indie Bollywood that you have injected into the classic Hollywood glamour that is synonymous to burlesque acts. Who and where do you draw your inspiration from?

Sukki: When I first found out about burlesque, it was via the old American stars—as Asian burlesque performers were few and far between!—so much of my inspiration came from that old style “bump and grind.” However being the first burlesque performer from Singapore, I felt it was important to portray my heritage in my acts, and pay homage to Bollywood and Chinese performers such as Barbara Yung, so as time went on I began to develop my own style. Much of my inspiration comes from my cultural upbringing—I literally wear my heart on my sleeve when it comes to my costumes!

    My Boudoir Sukki Singapora AA

SimplySxy: You have some of the most amazing stage costumes! Do you work exclusively with any designers in particular?

Sukki: Every stage costume starts with an idea or an emotion which I turn into a sketch on paper. I draw out how I imagine the pieces to look like, and then work with different people to help turn those sketches into a reality. Most of my outfits are created with the incredibly talented Kiku Boutique, from the UK, who are the best in the world at turning my dreams into reality!

SimplySxy: What are the common stereotypes in burlesque and in light of your recent victory in legalizing burlesque in Singapore this week, do you think the Asian community in general is ready to accept burlesque as a mainstream performance?

Sukki: I think many people expect every burlesque performance to be a carbon copy of the American style—there’s a stereotypical Hollywood silhouette in burlesque, and as an Asian performer, although I do hark back to traditional burlesque costuming, I like to challenge it, and put my own twist on it. In terms of acceptance, it’s never going to be easy to go up against traditional values and ideas, however I think the more understanding there is for it being an art form, the more countries will follow the example of Singapore this week.

SimplySxy: As the founder of The Singapore Burlesque Club, can you share with us more about it as well as the type of burlesque events and workshops that are conducted?

Sukki: I founded The Singapore Burlesque Society in 2012 when I was approached by many other Singaporean women (and men!) who were interested in burlesque, but were too afraid to try it or didn’t know how to go about it. It started out as a community to support each other creatively, and then workshops and shows were introduced when it grew to become The Singapore Burlesque Club. Until this week, however, full burlesque performances and tuition in Singapore were a legal grey area, and so many of the workshops were conducted in secret or outside of the country by my incredibly brave members—those were some pretty challenging times for me! All of the shows also had to be held internationally, however members and students knew that if ever they wanted to make a career out of burlesque, that the Club would always be there to support Asian burlesque talent.Sukki Singapora burlesque My Boudoir A

SimplySxy: I am sure our readers are very interested in your upcoming projects. Could you share with us some of these and also let us in on the sexhibition cinema commercial?

Sukki: Of course! This August, I’ll be headlining my Henna Diamonds burlesque act at Sexhibition—The Erotic Event of the year—and in the run up to that I’ve just finished filming my debut UK cinema commercial for it which comes out on Friday 13th February. This year I’ll also be returning to New York to co-produce my 3rd annual run of the largest Asian burlesque event in the world, The Asian Burlesque Spectacular on May 30th as well as returning to Singapore for some extremely special events, which I’m both emotional and excited about, I can’t say any more than that! But if you want to see me sooner, I’ll be debuting the first peek of my Henna Diamonds act in London at the Café de Paris on Saturday 21st and 28th February this month, which is going to be my biggest, most elaborate act yet. I can’t wait!

SimplySxy: Burlesque is associated with sexiness, performing hot dance moves with alluring outfits. Do you have any tips for our readers who wish to bring burlesque into the bedroom to spice things up but have no clue how to start?

Sukki: Burlesque is all about body confidence and feeling sexy about you. Instead of thinking what will the other person like? I think it’s important to ask: what do I feel great in? Because at the end of the day, if you feel sexy and confident, then you will exude sexiness.

SimplySxy: One last question before we sign off. How do you define “sexy”?

Sukki: For me sexy is a mindset – feeling confident in your own skin. There’s nothing sexier than a person’s smile when they’re feeling great!

  • Interview with Roc Solid on Interracial Sex, MILFS and BBWs

Interview with Roc Solid on Interracial Sex, MILFS and BBWs

Roc Solid is an up and coming male pornstar from Philadelphia, PA who loves interracial sex, MILFS, and BBWs.  SimplySxy takes this unique opportunity to find out more about his interests!

SimplySxy:  What do you think is behind the phenomenon of interracial sex involving a BBC that makes it so fascinating?

Roc Solid: Well for me I truly believe that colour contrast is largely behind this phenomenon between a black male aP1370270nd a white, Asian, or Latina female. Not only is it a wonderful sight to see but the fact that black males have bigger dicks is what I think really turns a lot of women on. I have gotten plenty of compliments on that and also that our stamina is better than other males. Women love the fact that we can go for long hours at a time. For me, I love to add that dynamic in my films because people enjoy seeing a women getting pounded relentlessly. I also think that porn has had a lot to do with turning peoples attention to interracial sex, some good and some bad. I would say the common misconception is that everyone thinks that all black men are very well hung and that is NOT true. You see in porn films black men that are 10” and more, and plenty of women will tell you that taking a dick that size does not feel good all the time. I truly think that it’s how we fuck that women love so much.

SimplySxy:  What is it about the Swingers lifestyle that turns you on?  Can you give our readers who are keen to host a swingers party, tips to have one that does not disturb the neighbours or rooms next door?

Roc: The swingers lifestyle has been very good to me these past couple of years. I have been able to meet plenty of ladies who would be considered your “next door neighbour” but when they get behind closed doors turn into freaks. I also think that the “Hotwife” dynamic has played a huge part in how I am able to meet so many wives. Lets face it.  Husbands love seeing their wife fucking a black man and are very happy with them doing it. Nothing turns me on better than seeing a husband sitting and watching me fuck his wife and her cumming so many times because of it.

Well the huge tip that I would give is that if you’re going to host at your place, to do it at night and in a place where your neighbors won’t hear it. Also if the woman is a screamer, then playing music in the background is a great option.

SimplySxy: Can you share a kinky and memorable sexual experience and how it came about?

Roc: Well for me, it would be finally meeting Creampie Cathy last year when she came to visit Philly. We had been talking for quite some time and she does these road trips a few times a year. Now going into this, I had no idea what to expect since seeing her movies she goes all out. When I finally did arrive to shoot our scene, I realized that she is even more beautiful in person, and man can she FUCK. I am able to say that I ROC’d her for sure and giving her a signature creampie that she loved. If any of you ever get the opportunity to meet her during her travels, please do so because you WILL NOT regret doing so.
