Hihi~ I am Ciwu from Malaysia! I am a full time Biotechnology student, mostly pursuing Medical or Microbial Biotechnology but I am also a part time cosplayer and TCG streamer.
Where did your interest in cosplaying first come from?
I grew up immersed in Japanese culture and have been a huge fan of manga and anime from a young age, largely due to my family’s influence. Growing up, I struggled with self-confidence and often felt insecure about my appearance. That changed when I discovered the cosplay community—I saw it as an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and decided to give it a try. My first cosplay experience was at Comic Fiesta 2022, but it wasn’t until August 2023 that I began taking cosplay seriously and turning it into my side career.
I believe my interest in cosplay came from the freedom to become any character I wanted without fear of judgment from others. Through cosplaying, my self-confidence grew, and it made me feel much better about myself.
Which character have you most enjoyed cosplaying and why?
I recently did a photoshoot as Jane Doe from Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), and it’s by far my favorite cosplay to date. I’ve always loved rodents, which is why I have 2 chinchillas, Ume and Ube, as pets. It’s rare to see anime or game characters modeled after animals like rats, which made cosplaying Jane Doe even more special for me. I even brought Ume along for the shoot! Cosplaying Jane Doe felt like the perfect way to express both my passion for cosplay and my love for my chinchillas.
Do you have any other hobbies or interests?
Aside from my Biotechnology degree, music has been a significant part of my life. I studied music throughout my childhood and graduated with graded vocals from Trinity College London in 2021. Music has always been a source of comfort for me, and over the years, I learned singing, piano, violin, and guzheng.
I also trained in ballet for over 13 years. Although I had to stop when I entered college due to time constraints, I still look back on it fondly and reminisce about it.
On top of that, I explored various art forms, including pottery. In high school, I even worked as a part-time pottery teacher. I do occasionally still enjoy arts and crafts or pottery whenever I have the time.
If it’s not related to skill based, I have loved video games since I was young. My favourite genre of games are Triple AA games like Life is Strange, Elden Ring and vice versa. But despite all these, I have a general soft spot for Pokémon games; my first ever Pokémon game was Pokémon Emerald!
Have you been in an embarrassing moment before that is funny now when looking back?
I’m not sure if this is embarrassing, but a few years ago, on the second day of Chinese New Year, I accidentally drank detergent. Someone—who decided that it was an absolutely amazing idea—decided to store detergent in a pink Tupperware water bottle, and I, unknowingly, took a sip. It had a weirdly minty and spicy taste, it honestly wasn’t that bad but I knew what I drank wasn’t water.
But instead of seeking medical attention like a normal person, I called my friends and said, “I just drank detergent, WTF do I do?” They told me to seek medical attention, but I was too lazy. So, I decided the best solution was to flush it out of my system—by taking laxatives. The rest was basically history, the most painful Chinese New Year ever. My friends still sometimes laugh at me for it.
Is there something you’ve always wanted to do or learn but haven’t had the time?
Due to the nature of my degree as I am required to attend a lot of lab sessions and have many course works, I haven’t exactly been the most athletic. Until now, I don’t know how to ride a bike and I have no time to learn it now because of studies. Kind of unfortunate.
If you could time travel, where would you go?
Back to when the Pokémon English base set was first released in 1999 so that I could grab a few boxes. Honestly, the prices for Pokémon cards right now are just too outrageous. It was so much better back then—but the sad part is, I wasn’t even born yet.
What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?
Usually I ignore people in my DMs, but one random guy asked to see my armpits and compliment it.
I left him on read (lol).
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Ciwu. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
In my utmost opinion, sexiness comes from within—it’s all about confidence and how you carry yourself. It doesn’t mean you have to wear revealing clothes, lingerie, or bikinis to be considered sexy. True sexiness is simply rooted in self-assurance.
So don’t be too harsh on yourself—embrace who you are in whatever way feels right. Don’t let the fear of judgment hold you back, because, to me, that’s where real sexiness lies.
Kitty Bella here! A Malaysian cosplayer. I’m a graphic designer and I do Cosplay as a side thing but I’m planning to establish a career out of it. I do ero-cosplay occasionally as well.
How did you get started into cosplaying?
I started when I was 16, I grew up with Japanese culture. I have always been amazed and interested in anime, games, music and even drama. I started drawing because of anime as well. So when I found the cosplay community here in Malaysia, the interest grew when I think that I could finally dress up like my fave characters. But I stopped to focus on my studies and then work. Over the years, I developed severe social anxiety. So I didn’t have the courage to do it.
But thanks to my girl, she pushed me to get out and do what I want to do, which is cosplay and go to anime cons. She gave me courage and accompanied me to cons. She is my biggest reason why I started to cosplay again and well – here I am!
Which is a memorable cosplay experience you have had so far?
When I was still having doubts about myself, few people approached me to take pictures with me. I felt like I have more courage and to be more confident with myself. The most memorable one is definitely my first cosplay photoshoot with my girl as Aerith and Tifa duo.
Do you have any advice for someone looking to get started into cosplay?
Don’t be afraid, have more confidence in yourself and don’t compare yourself to others. You will get there, trust me. Do what you like, cosplay characters that you love even if not many people know about it. Do it for yourself and not for others.
What is a common misconception about cosplayers you usually hear?
As a girl, they tend to say girls are just cosplaying for clout and are not actually interested in anime, games and comics. Which is completely wrong. Most girls that cosplay are actual nerds, i.e ME! Most of us are gamers, avid anime watchers and even collecting comics and figurines.
Is there something you’ve always wanted to do or learn but haven’t had the time?
One of my goals is to be a tattoo artist. I love arts in many forms. But tattoo seems to be my calling. I am planning to take up courses and become a tattoo artist, hopefully this year!
Which flavor best describes you?
Sweet and Spicy. I can do both. I can be a very sweet person but I’m actually a very honest person and can tell someone to their face of their wrong doings. Even if it hurts, being honest is the best thing to do.
What is a funny or lame attempt a guy has tried to know you?
When they pretended to know me or have seen me somewhere on social media but can’t remember my social media handle so they asked what my socials are. Hahaha.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Kitty Bella. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
When someone is confident in their own body. One can be naturally sexy without doing any sexual actions. But when they exude the energy, that’s definitely sexy!
Follow the talented Kitty Bella on social media at:
To my darlings who are in Malaysia – I’m planning to have few booths this year, come and support me! I usually will go to the bigger events throughout the year. I always update it on my social media. Follow me to keep updated hehe. Please do support me on my Gank too so I can make more content in the future!
Hello darlings! I’m Nyanbunn, from Malaysia. I do cosplay as a hobby but I’m trying to pursue it professionally. Aside from posting content on Instagram, I also have physical and digital merchandise for people to purchase.
How did you get started into cosplay and why do you love it?
I went into cosplay at first because I saw it as a fun dress up game but now I love it so much that I tend to give it all to cosplays. My first cosplay was Kanao from Demon Slayer and seeing that picture now makes me proud of how much I’ve grown as a cosplayer.
Which is a memorable or unforgettable cosplay experience you have had that you can share with us?
I have a couple experiences that I’m fond of but the most highlighted memory is when I first opened my booth as a cosplayer, selling my first merchandise. A lot of my friends supported me and came to see me. Even met a lot of lovely people that day!
What is the best compliment you have received?
Every compliment is very dear to me, and the best ones are always the ones where they talk about my insecurities positively. Also, I love it when girlies call me sexy ◝(˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) ◜♡
What are 3 fun sights you recommend to tourists to take in when visiting your city?
Right now, living in Kuala Lumpur, there’s so much for tourists to experience. All from the business of the city centre, the Hindu shrine in Batu Caves, and even all the parks the city has to offer.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of risk taker are you?
Probably an 8. I don’t take too much risk because I’m basically scared, but I also love to see what happens or what opportunity awaits if I do take those risks.
If you could be a cartoon or fictional character for real, who will you want to be?
If I can be an anime character, I would love to be Noelle Silva from Black Clover. I relate to her and in some way I see myself in her. In both positive and negative light.
What is an ideal first date to you?
To me, the ideal first date is where my date is shy with no physical touches but is affectionate enough to keep me safe and comfortable. For places, I like it to be an adventure. I feel like if we’re going to a bunch of places, the conversation flow is much more interesting! Also if my date pays for me I’ll just blush harder (づ_ど)
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Nyanbunn. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
For me, sexy is more than sexual parts of the body. It is a form of art. A photo can be sexy even without boobs or ass present, someone can be fully clothed but the way they behave would look sexy. I see a lot of people who are actually sexy without trying.
For myself, I find myself sexy in photos where I am confident, with or without clothes on.
For anyone who lives in Malaysia, come and support me at booths I open. My schedule is normally updated on my profile. For everyone who lives outside Malaysia, feel free to support me through Gank!
SimplySxy catches up with content creator Iya Janessa Olie Vosotros on a follow up feature since her first feature in October 2023 here. Read on as we ask her about her content creation evolution, misconceptions she hears about content creators, and her thoughts on how AI may change the content creation landscape.
How have you been since we last featured you back in October last year?
Ohh I’ve been doing great and amazing. Received so much good blessings, attracting only positive energy and surrounding myself with good people. It’s really nice to be back with you guys again!
How has your content creation evolved since you started in 2020?
We all started small. I started collaborating with small local brands here in my country, brands like liptints, hairties, lipscrubs, etc. Then I started to explore the industry more, I saw some content creators attending these brand events, launch, gala, I told myself “someday I’ll go to these kind of events” so I put extra extra efforts in my contents. You know what they say, “the more effort you put into something, the more opportunities you’ll receive” I believe in that.
Growing in this industry, I’ve learned so many things about making a good content. This is where I learned how to negotiate, how to create a proposal, how to get a good deal, how to create your own portfolio and many more. I set a goal, taking it step by step as long as i’m making a progress, I’m good. Every projects or collab, means so much to me. Even if its a small or big brand, its still an opportunity.
Eyes and mind on the goal. Focus on what’s good for my career and making it into action. That’s what I did to reach my goals. Now, I am one of those influencers you’ll see in those brand events/launch. Always remember that progress is a progress.
What 3 skincare products are a must in your collection that you recommend to every lady out there?
Invest in a good sunscreen, moisturizer and lip balm! Sunscreen is a must must, it’s something that you shouldn’t skip in a skincare routine. Gotta protect the skin from the harmful sunrays! Moisturizer too is something you should invest if you’re planning to make your skin smooth and dewy. No one wants a bad and dry skin. Also lip balm, I hate it when my lips are cracky and dry so I do invest in a good lip balm.
Are there any common misconceptions you hear about content creators?
Ohh I heard different misconception by a lot of people. They say content creating is just taking pictures, posting on Instagram, taking a bunch of selfies, being cute in photos, etc etc. NO! that is so not true, the effort we put behind the camera is something people don’t usually see. Every published content requires efforts, lots of time, research, creativity, editing, planning, how do i make this content organic or relatable.
It’s really sad to hear this kind of misconceptions, but you’re really not gonna understand something unless you’re doing it. Some may say “it’s easy” to create a content, ohh I wish hahaha, it’s really not easy. But I don’t mind these misconception since these kinds of opinions are not within my control, so I do respect different shapes of opinions as long as it doesn’t affect who I am as a person.
Being a content creator requires to put yourself into the “passionate” mode, you need to be strong and creative in order for you to grow and to be known in the industry. But the power a content creator holds is very impactful to the public, we are the ones who shaped the public opinion that help brands to boost engagement, extend their audience reach and it is a big responsibility as a content creator. So for those who said, “it’s easy to be a content creator” why don’t you try it? Hahaha.
How do you think AI will change or challenge the content creator space in the near future?
On side A, it’ll be a big help for research purposes and editing. I believe AI is a tool that is made for us to do the work easily but it still need the mind or idea of a human. But on side B, AI can be an obstacle to content creators. Cause why do you need content creators when you have AI that can do the content for you? But I also believe, content creators have the advantages more. Content creators creates a content that is relatable and organic, and that is something AI can’t do.
Do you have a dream holiday destination?
Just my family and me on a beach house, eating together, having a good time, making memories, riding on vespas, going on beach parties, I’m good with any places as long as i’m with my people that I want to create memories with. But manifesting Palawan this year!!
What do you recommend that every tourist or visitor to your city tries for an authentic experience?
Philippines is a tropical country, so beach is really a must visit! We really do have good nature views, beaches, and food!! Nothing compares to the filipino food. You must give halo-halo and street foods a try when you visit our country and ride the jeepneys!!
What exciting projects or works do you have in the pipeline or plan to do for the rest of 2024?
I am focusing on my lifestyle niche this year, you know travels, exploring my country more. I also started my community for aspiring content creators this year, trying to grow The Creator’s Club tryna expand the circle more and manifesting more good projects to come to me this 2024. I also started my youtube channel, so don’t forget to subscribe hahaha.
Hi! I am Kristel and I was born and raised here in the Philippines. I am 22 years of age and currently majoring in Accountancy for college.
How will you describe your fashion style?
I would describe as Sexy and I always look for stylish pieces that I can re-wear on any occasion. I look for clothes that match my curves and that helps in making me feel confident in what I am wearing.
Do you follow a beauty regime to look so good?
I used to follow a more than 10 steps skin care routine. But now I realized that less is more and it is really more on how I take care of my body internally. I always make sure that I wear less makeup and if I do I make sure that I clean them all out before the end of the day. Investing in high quality serums and sunscreens really help and I always make sure that I am hydrated both in and out.
What is the best compliment you have received?
One of the best compliments that I have received is that I smell so good. I always take pride in having good hygiene and investing in high quality perfumes. I really appreciate it whenever people say that I smell so good.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of a risk taker are you?
I’m not really a risk taker as much as I hope I’d be. So, I’d rate this as 5/10. This is something that I really need to work on because I know I could achieve more and explore something more if I just take risks from time to time.
If you could have a superpower, what will it be?
Probably, Teleportation. Oh, If only I could be in all places at once. I hate missing out so this is something that I want to have.
How do you like to spend your free time?
I spend my free time bonding with myself. I get overstimulated right away so I make sure that I always have this self-care time for myself. It could be shopping, a good facial, getting my lashes and nails done and a good swim.
What is a lame pickup line or attempt a guy has tried on you?
There’s a lot that I can’t remember. Most recent I think is the line “You’re the baby in baby blue” . It’s so lame but well it works.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Kristel. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexy for me is walking in a room and knowing that you deserve to be in that room. Sexy is being confident in other people’s eyes even though you don’t feel sexy at all. Being mysterious is sexy. People wanting to know everything about you because they are interested in everything about you is sexy.
In my city (Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Central Visayas, Philippines), I have always been known as the “expressive one,” never shy to voice my opinions on societal and relevant issues. However, as I have grown older, I have come to understand the importance of choosing my battles. While I remain strongly opinionated, I have learned to discern which topics truly require an amplified voice. It is a delicate balance, for there is a fine line between nonchalance and apathy, and being engaged in matters that demand public scrutiny.
My journey took an unexpected turn when I was crowned Miss Silliman in 2016, thrusting me into the spotlight. Miss Silliman is the most prestigious and longest running pageant in Asia. This newfound exposure allowed me to make a significant impact in various areas, particularly in business, education, and socio-civic contributions. In 2020, I was honored to be featured in Lihok NegOr for the province’s Women’s Month Celebration, showcasing my exemplary commitment to these fields. As a result, I became one of the most recognized personalities in Dumaguete City, boasting a considerable following on Instagram.
Today, my life has expanded to include the exhilarating world of freediving. This passion has provided me with incredible opportunities, such as being featured in esteemed publications like Inquirer and CDN Digital. Through my photos and visual storytelling, I strive to capture the enchanting beauty of freediving and the stunning beaches of the Philippines. It is a journey that is not only personally fulfilling but also allows me to share the natural wonders of our country with a broader audience.
For a significant portion of my life, I held the belief that my proudest achievement would involve climbing the corporate ladder, achieving success in the world of big business. I was fortunate to be a part of San Miguel Corporation’s renowned brewery division, the largest beer company in the Philippines, and later, with Unilever, a global powerhouse in fast-moving consumer goods. These experiences were valuable, and they taught me much about the corporate world.
Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle of corporate life, I stumbled upon a realization that could forever change my path. I discovered that my heart truly beats to the rhythm of an entrepreneur, and my soul longed for the freedom to create – without the feeling of potential limitations. My proudest achievement thus far was mustering the courage to take a leap of faith into the realm of entrepreneurship, a move that terrifies many – one that would test the courage of even the most daring. I made the decision to follow my creative vision and go full-time as a Resin Artisan to my small business, Aikonic Crafts.
Aikonic Crafts, a name derived from my own name, ‘Aiko,’ blended with ‘Iconic,’ represents not just a business but a legacy of artistic transformation. As one of the pioneering resin artisans in my province, I embarked on this journey in 2020 and found immense joy in touching and transforming lives through my artistic endeavors. My journey became a testament to the power of turning memories into masterpieces. Through commissioned projects, I have had the privilege of helping my clients immortalize their most cherished moments. I have preserved wedding bouquets, transformed umbilical cords, human ashes, animal fur, and even teeth into exquisite pieces that can be held close to the heart for generations to come. Each piece I create carries not only my passion but also the essence of the stories behind them. Aikonic Crafts has become more than just a business; it is a vessel for emotion, connection, and artistry.
While I continue to explore new business ventures that I can offer to the City of Gentle People, one thing remains constant – my love for art. It is the fire that burns within, a guiding light through the intricacies of business and the uncertainties of entrepreneurship. It is a testament to the idea that sometimes, our proudest achievements often hide in the shadows of our comfort zone, and it emerges when we embrace change, follow our heart and pursue our true calling.
I do not necessarily have a fashion icon, but I draw my fashion inspiration from a daring sense of self-expression. I prioritize comfort in my style choices, understanding that what is comfortable varies from person to person. While I aim to dress appropriately, I believe that clothing should be a means to express one’s individuality.
Do you have any favorite quotes or mottos you like to use in life?
1.“When we pray for a rain of blessings, we have to deal with the mud.”
This saying reminds me that achieving my dreams and receiving blessings often involves overcoming challenges and facing difficult situations. Just like how rain brings nourishment to the earth but also creates mud, our path to success may be messy and require us to navigate through obstacles. It emphasizes the idea that we should be willing to embrace the difficulties on our journey to reach our goals, but we must also be cautious in assessing if the soil and environment where we are planted are healthy, so we can bloom to our fullest potential.
2. If it is not a f*ck “yes,” then it is a “no.”
This saying is a powerful reminder to prioritize what truly excites and fulfills us. It encourages us to make choices that align with our passions, values, and desires. When faced with a decision, if we do not feel a resounding, enthusiastic “yes,” then it suggests that we should reconsider and perhaps say “no.” By following this principle, we can avoid settling for less and focus on what truly matters to us.
Miss Silliman 2016

Would you rather have the ability to be invisible or teleport?
I would opt for teleportation without a doubt. My love for travel, particularly exploring the enchanting islands and pristine beaches of the Philippines, is a significant part of my life. Being invisible might allow me to observe in secrecy, but I would rather teleport to these stunning destinations and share the beauty of our world with others. While my social media presence only offers a glimpse of who I am, it has allowed me to connect with people from around the globe, fostering a real sense of connection and shared experiences. Teleportation would let me continue this journey of exploration and connection on a more profound level.
How do you like to spend your free time?
In a world where free time is a precious commodity, I choose to embrace every moment with a passion for life. I find my solace in the depths of the ocean, where I practice the art of freediving, exploring the boundless beauty beneath the waves. But my quest for knowledge does not stop there. I am a curious soul, drawn to the intricate tapestry of societal issues that shape our world. I devour articles and research, seeking to understand and empathize. And when I am not immersed in the deep blue or unraveling the complexities of our world, I am expanding my horizons. I dedicate myself to continuous self-improvement, learning new skills through the wealth of free online tutorials. Each day is an opportunity to grow, to adapt, and to become a better version of myself. For me, free time is not about idleness; it is a canvas waiting to be painted with experiences, knowledge, and accomplishments. I live with an unquenchable desire to engage, to explore, and to create.

If you could time travel, what will you like to witness or experience?
I have always been the kind of person who overthinks, overprepares, and overanalyzes. I have often found myself fixated on the uncertain future, allowing anxiety to cloud my present moments. But as I have grown older, I have come to realize that life is a beautiful combination of the past, the present, and the future, and each thread contributes to the masterpiece of our existence. But if given the power to traverse time, I would choose to revisit my past, not to erase my mistakes, for they are the brushstrokes that have painted the canvas of my being. Instead, I would journey back to enhance and refine the chapters of my life, to ensure that the symphony of my experiences plays a more harmonious tune.
There were moments in my past where opportunities gleamed like uncut diamonds, but I, in my youthful ignorance, let them slip through my fingers like grains of sand. Regrets have lingered, but I have learned that even in the face of missed chances, the present holds the power to redefine our trajectory.
This is why I have been labeled “unstoppable,” yet I have often found myself at crossroads where I believed I had come to a halt. I have indeed stopped many times, but it is within these pauses, within the moments of reflection and reinvention, that I have discovered my true strength. I am not the same person who started this journey, and I am grateful for that. Each pause, each reawakening, has made me a bit more determined and a tad less vulnerable.
So, if I could traverse the corridors of time, I would embrace the stopping points as opportunities for growth, resilience, and transformation. Life is a journey, and I have come to understand that it is not about erasing our past, but rather, it is about rewriting our future with the wisdom we have gathered along the way.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Aiko. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
“Sexy,” to me, is a deeply personal and subjective concept. It transcends the superficial and societal standards, finding its essence in the individual’s perception. It is not a label I apply to someone else; it is a feeling they own within themselves.
True sexiness is a combination of daring, comfort, and confidence. It is the audacity to be authentically you, unapologetically and fearlessly. It is not about conforming to external ideals but celebrating your uniqueness. Embracing your roots, whatever they may be, is a crucial part of this journey. It is about acknowledging and honoring your cultural, personal, and familial heritage, while still forging your own path.
Ultimately, “sexy” is an intimate knowledge of who you are. It is a self-assuredness that radiates from within, drawing others toward your magnetic authenticity. It is about understanding your worth, cherishing your individuality, and reveling in the powerful allure of self-acceptance. In this way, “sexy” becomes a state of being that is not defined by anyone else but is a reflection of your own self-love – in knowing who you are beyond how others perceive you to be.
Experience the perfect blend of art and adventure with an outdoor tattoo session with Mae Omondang (@tattedbymae) of Island Tattoo & Piercing Studio from Pacifico, Siargao. This unique experience is tailor-made for the adventurous souls who seek to combine the beauty of ink with the thrill of exploration.
This tattoo bears a special significance. The design is my personal creation – a powerful testament to overcoming the tendency of being a people pleaser. Before embarking on this journey to Siargao, imposter syndrome weighed heavily on my mind. The inked portrayal encapsulates a journey of self-liberation and humble transformation. The various hand sizes symbolize the mighty waves of Siargao. Each wave is a reminder that one need not bend over backward to appease everyone to reach the pinnacle of success. The woman gracefully surfing these waves is a representation of myself who is undergoing this transformation – a celebration of personal growth, resilience, and courage.
Hi y’all, My name is Maddie but most people know me as Maddiekat from my socials. I am from Knoxville, TN where I am currently working as a bartender part time at one of my favorite local dive bars. I have always loved social media every since middle school, and I ended up being able to be fortunate enough to turn that into a job as a lifestyle influencer and content creator!
I seriously have a shopping problem, but hey its just part of the job LOL. I love social media and how I can connect with people who I can share my fashion style, give life advice, share brands that I work with, and get to share what my life looks like. I think that social media has given me the ability to help people who might be going through a tough time, share my story about coming out in a religious hometown, share my fashion finds to help people be able to find clothing that makes them feel as beautiful as they are, and help empower women to keep chasing those dreams because you never know when they are going to come true!
I would describe my fashion style as feminine edgy, I love dressing this way to show that powerful side of being a woman while still being edgy and in style. I have loved being able to use Instagram to show off my unique style and be able to connect with people who love the same kind of style.
What is your proudest achievement so far?
My life has been a rollercoaster for the past three years, and I would say that my proudest achievement so far would be surviving those three years and being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and see the person that I have become today.
Which is the best compliment you have received?
The best compliment I have received would have to be someone telling me that I have the ability to make people feel seen and heard, and able to relate to anyone that I meet on a personal level. It literally made me cry when I heard that!
Is there any food or drink you can’t live without?
Soda water is literally the one drink that I could never live without. Chicken Tenders and Grilled Cheese would have to be the food that I would die if I couldn’t eat.
What hobbies and interests do you have?
I love Volleyball! I actually was a college athlete and I am always looking for games or leagues that I can join so that I can play again! I also love bartending which is what I do on the side now! I also love photography
If you can drop everything and go on a road trip, where will be your destination?
New York City!! Literally planning my trip to go there in the next few months!
What do you not get about the opposite sex?
Why men feel like they can label a girl or treat a girl poorly simply based on the outfit that they are wearing.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Maddie. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
I would define sexy as WOMEN, but women who keep fighting for their dreams, confident in themselves, and never letting societal views discourage them for being exactly who they want to be.
I’m Cassidy or ‘Catssidy’ but most people call me Cass or Cat. I am a cosplayer, content creator, and Twitch Streamer from Auckland New Zealand. I’ve always loved being in front of a camera and bringing characters to life. In fact, I am a trained makeup artist but now only do that for fun – it really helps with cosplaying! I love all things horror and spooky which got me into makeup in the first place – special effects makeup will always have a special place in my heart.. You’ll catch me mainly playing horror games too.
A few other things about me are that I absolutely LOVE cats,I currently have two Mr Puss and Bernard but I also foster kittens on the side. I am a black belt in Taekwondo and trained for over 10 years. I also have a pretty cool job – I work as a Community Manager for a VR game developer called Mighty Eyes here in NZ – it really is my dream job!
What is your fashion style like and where do you draw inspiration from?
Honestly, my fashion has changed so much over the last few years. But now I have two distinct styles ‘egirl’ and ‘urban egirl’ – trust me, they are a little different! On my social profiles you will see me in pastel colours but if you run in to me out and about I mainly wear black clothes in the same ‘egirl’ style but more toned down. I love Japanese fashion – so a get a lots of inspo – walking down Harajuku last year was a dream! The fashion was so cool. I hope to look that cool one day!
Which 3 items are most important in your wardrobe?
Black mini skirt, black long sleeved cropped top and my doc martins.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of a risk taker are you?
I would say 5 – I do take the occasional risk to try out something new, but day to day I don’t like to stand out too much. I do get some weird looks – especially if I have pink hair in public.
Is there any food or drink you don’t take?
I try to avoid cheese – which is a bit sad. I also won’t have any fizzy drink or energy drinks past 2pm otherwise it keeps me up all night.
Do you have any favorite quotes or mottos you like to use?
‘In a world you can be anything, be kind.’ – It speaks for itself really. You don’t know what others are going through so be kind. Even smiling at a stranger could make their day.
What do you not get about the opposite sex?
Why they take so long on the toilet LOL.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Cassidy. One question before we end, how do you define ‘sexy’?
The key to being sexy is confidence! So confidence I guess.
It’s an honor to be featured! A little about me: I’m 24 and have a 14-year-old dachshund and a one-year-old dachshund beagle mix. They’re my children, and they both have the sassiest personalities.
I always have a hard time answering where I’m from. I moved to Starkville, MS from Cleveland, OH around the age of 9. I lived in Mississippi until I graduated high school. You could say I’m a mix of a northern and southern girl. From there, I’ve lived in Italy, Atlanta, GA, and as of this past year, I currently reside in Sacramento, CA.
MY FASHION STYLE
I only feel I have found my true fashion sense this year. Before I used to run with the trends and quickly got tired of pieces in my closet when the trend slowed down. In 2023, I’ve only been thrifting my clothes, and this has allowed me to be more creative and expressive with my style. I have been searching for and purchasing a lot of bohemian-style pieces. I love it when I find handmade, one-of-a kind-pieces.
FOODIE FAVORITES
I’m a huge foodie and have hundreds of food videos, mainly from Atlanta since Atlanta is such a great foodie city. My favorite food hands down is noodles. The thicker the noodle the better. Garlic noodles with a little spice is *chefs kiss*. I’m also a Mac and cheese and fries connoisseur. If the fries aren’t crispy, I don’t want them.
HOBBIES / INTERESTS
I’m a huge self-care enthusiast. I get the most happiness from traveling and trying new places, but I find the most fulfillment in the everyday slow living with my fiancé and dogs. I love practicing yoga, skincare, and mindful meditation.
3 THINGS TO DO IN SACRAMENTO, CA
Visit the California state capital and have a picnic.
Take a stroll around old Sacramento and have a drink aboard the Delta King boat over the American River.
Visit The Bank for a cocktail that has 100 years of rich history behind the beautiful architecture and downstairs vault and taproom.
EMBARRASSING STORIES
One of my most embarrassing now funny stories, has to be when I was 15/16, I was traveling with my mom. We were both giggly and sleep-deprived from traveling for a couple of days. The lights were off on the plane, everyone quietly sleeping, and I was just finishing eating my Subway tuna sandwich. I already knew these passengers were annoyed with me, then I decided to begin opening a box of rainbow nerds when the plane started experiencing turbulence. During this turbulence, my rainbow nerds rolled down the airplane walkway. All you could hear during this silent flight was my nerds tumbling.
(I’m so sorry to the flight attendants)
LEARN ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD
Apart from learning as many languages as I can, I am in the process of learning to sew and hopefully create some amazing pieces! A goal of mine is to thrift items that would otherwise go to the landfill, and create elegant clothing that stays in circulation.
GUYS, WHAT I DON’T GET ABOUT THEM
Everything but one in particular thing I don’t get about guys is their obsession with sports. I say this as a football coach’s fiancé, I just don’t get the obsession. My fiancé could say the same thing about my obsession with Love Island.
HOW I DEFINE SEXY
I define sexy as being yourself. Someone is so sexy when they are themselves unapologetically. Authenticity goes a long way, and there’s something so sexy about it.
Hey Sexy Fans! I’m Abby Ballin a Photographer / Stand Up Comedian originally from NYC currently based in South Florida.
How do you describe your fashion style and where do you love to shop from?
My Fashion style is a little all over the place. I steal a lot of vintage clothes from my Mom as she really had wild taste when she was young and luckily held on to a lot of her statement pieces. I like to say I shop at KB’s Closet (as her name is Kathie Ballin). When not stealing from her though I often shop online at Nasty Gal as they have great sales and a lot of funky, colorful and SEXY items. If I were to name my style I would call it “Time Travel Attention Whore.”
Do you have any hobbies or interests?
Comedy started out as a hobby and turned into a career shockingly. I’ve been a photographer for over 15 years now and only doing Stand Up for about 4 years yet at this point comedy is taken up about 65% of time. Somehow I’ve been lucky enough to take two (basically hobbies) and turn them into businesses.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of an adventurer are you?
10! If time and money was not a thing I think I would be permanently traveling and exploring. I love experiences and going to new places! Different cultures fascinate me and I really enjoy connecting with new people from all around the world.
If you could have a super power, what will it be?
That’s easy, teleportation! I’d never be late and that would also solve the previous question…I could travel whenever I want 🙂
Can you recommend 3 things every tourist should experience in the city you live in?
I think if you can see live local entertainment in any city you travel to that is a great way to experience the culture and also support the local artists. Obviously I’m biased, but South Florida has a vibrant up and coming Comedy scene this is just budding and a very cool thing to witness as you get to come in at the ground level. If I didn’t say beaches I may get removed from Florida…so for the love of god go to the beach! Lastly I would say the everglades if you’re the outdoors type is a pretty unique experience and if you ever wanted to be a few feet away from a gator, well wish granted.
What is a typical day like for you?
Most days start with answering emails and messages and then I get started on the editing work I have to do, there always seems to be never ending editing. That is if I don’t have a photoshoot already booked that day. I try a squeeze in a backyard workout at some point and snuggles with my animals before I end the day with Comedy. On average I perform 3-4 nights a week and when I am not performing I try to work on my material and either work on existing jokes and tighten them up or start developing new premises. So in short a typical day for me is filled with my work, but work that is my passion and that I love.
What turns you off on a date?
I really appreciate good communication. A big turn off for me is someone who either can’t stop talking about themself or has really nothing of interest to say at all.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Abby. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexy to me is confidence. May sound cliche, but I don’t feel you can genuinely be sexy if you’re not confident. I think how we hold ourselves and sit in our bodies is also a defining trait of being sexy. I love someone who is comfortable in their skin and almost moves in a slinky way. I’m a big smell person as well, so add some nice fragrance to that combo and I’ll pounce for sure!
I host a comedy show Every Sunday Night 8:30pm at @redlightpalmbeach in West Palm. I also host other monthly showcases throughout South Florida. I will be Hosting Dania Improv on 11/30 as well as Miami improv on 12/15.
