Kelli Lox, 2014 AVN & XBIZ Award nominee, speaks on SimplySxy

Kelli Lox is a transsexual stripper, actress, model, and musician living in San Francisco, California.  During her first year in the adult industry, Kelli has amassed more than 16 thousand followers on Twitter, was nominated for both AVN and XBIZ TS Performer of the Year, and has starred in several award-winning DVD’s including Rogue Adventures 38 and America’s Next Top Tranny 17.  She loves travelling, hanging out with friends, and drinking tea. You can find her website at kellilox.com (nsfw).

SimplySxy:  Has the internet made the adult industry more difficult and competitive?

Kelli Lox:  I have only been in the adult industry recently, so I’m not sure what it was like before the internet came along and made it so easy for people to share content for free. But based on what I hear from others, it made a huge impact.  Sometimes I hear some photographers lament the “old days, when they had budgets.”  So I guess it made lots of studios rethink the way they invested in production and distribution. Today, you can make cheap porn cheaply if you have quality equipment and editing skills, but it would be difficult to sell it on your own.  These big studios and their online affiliates are able to profit more than once from the same content using site membership strategies, conversion through various formats, and access to different or foreign markets.  They have invested in the ability to sell the same content multiple times.  An interesting side question is the reverse: “How has the adult industry shaped today’s internet?

    IMG_34964087896762

SimplySxy:  What are some of the challenges you faced when you started out in the industry?

Kelli:  When you’re just starting out, there’s a lot of pressure because it’s the only time you’ll ever be NEW.  For example, I wanted my own membership site, yet I was not willing to commit the time and energy required to make that work successfully.  I didn’t want to be constantly obligated to produce new content for members.  This has always been just a hobby for me, and I was worried that taking it seriously could be dangerous.  I realized that, at that time, I just wanted to be talent.  So I turned down the offer to get my own membership site. Instead, to this day, I have a blog that simply contains links for fans to join all of the sites I’m on.  If someone joins using one of my links, that site and I will then share that profit.  I also make money by starring in shoots and from dancing at Divas, the transsexual strip club here in San Francisco.  So it feels like I determined the entire course of my porn career with a few fast decisions in those first few months back when I was a fresh face.

SimplySxy:  Can you share with us one funny/awkward/embarrassing moment that have happened on set?

Kelli:  I guess the funniest thing for me was when I was f**king genetic girls for Kink’s TS Pussyhunters.  When I’d get on top, like missionary, and was pumping and pounding really hard, getting ready to come, I would start to sweat and drops of sweat would start to drip from my face.  The girls are used to avoiding come getting in their eyes – but avoiding falling drops of sweat is a different art. Hahaha they sting when they get in your eyes so these girls are still acting, making sexy faces and noises, etc, but very intently avoiding the sweat droplets.  I laugh about it just remembering it.

SimplySxy:  Which is your favourite porn scene to shoot?

Kelli:  I have done solo scenes, scenes with guys, and scenes with girls.  I enjoy all of them.  I have found that the chemistry between cameraman, director, talent, etc is the most important thing.  It doesn’t really matter which type of shoot it is.  Sometimes things click and other times everything seems a bit forced.  My favourite scenes are the ones where there is an interesting twist or there are actual lines and acting involved.

    1398232033979

SimplySxy:  Were you nervous before your first ever shoot?

Kelli:  Before my first porn shoot I was extremely nervous!  Like, trembling!  The nervousness lasted until I had done maybe three shoots, and then it wasn’t so nerve-wracking anymore.  After that, the thrill isn’t “omg i’m in a porn shoot!!” – it evolves to “wow I have fans and great working relationships with these studios and other talent!

SimplySxy:  Share with us your favourite sexual fantasy

Kelli:  I like sex in groups, I like sex in front of people, I like sex with strangers, I like sex with friends.  I like urgent sex, I like to be tied up, I like sex that pushes someone’s boundaries.  My fantasy continues to be ways in which all of these things happen in different combinations or at the same time.

SimplySxy:  Do you have a sex toy you can’t do without?

Kelli:  Not really.  I used to get attached to various dildos, but now I’m like meh, I can get another one.  I really like lingerie, though.  In some cases, lingerie or certain clothing items are just as good as sex toys.

SimplySxy:  Is there anything you will do in bed but not on a film set?

Kelli:  I don’t like topping guys, and have told studios that I don’t do that.  This “one thing I won’t do” has caused me to lose some work, but that’s the game we are all playing in life, right?  Where do you draw the lines and when it is worth it vs not worth it to cross them?

    1398233038886

SimplySxy:  What is your all time favourite sex position?

Kelli:  Doggy style, hands down.  I should say palms down so that you don’t think I’m using a figure of speech here.  Hahaha I like all positions and would like to try more.

SimplySxy:  Share with our readers and your fans something they do not know about you?

    Kelli:  I’m multidimensional and kaleidoscopic.

A message from you to all your fans and the SimplySxy readers:

  • Un Homme POV on Pornography

    Un Homme POV on Pornography

Last month I was visiting a friend in California and found his coffee table littered with real estate magazines and property brochures.  I thought this was odd as he’d just bought his house a year ago and seemed pretty happy with it. “Oh, I’m not actually looking to buy anything right now,” he said.  “But I developed a passion for this stuff when I was house hunting. I’m still curious, and I find it entertaining. I also wish I could own some of these houses someday, and when I look at them, part of me feels that I do.

Curiosity.  Entertainment.  Wish fulfilment.  My mind went straight to why myself and millions of men watch porn.  And the more I thought about it, the more I realised that porn is much more than a man and a woman going skin-on-skin.  No pun intended, it goes much deeper.

Now don’t get me wrong: I’m not saying that property and porn are the same thing.  They’re not —but when money’s not involved, the motivations behind following real estate, cars, or porn are the same. And they’re human, healthy, and masculine.

The element of curiosity takes me back to the age of 12 when I was about to watch my first porn film, and inserting a tape into the VCR while hoping not to get caught.  I remember the sense of mystery as I was about to see people having sex, for the first time in my life.  I also remember the first scene, involving two bob haircut Japanese lesbians— twins, if I recall correctly—launching immediately into a 69.  This was certainly an interesting first lesson!

If it sounds entertaining, that’s because it is, especially as the “dialogue” commenced with, “How about some pussy, bitch?” But porn is of course much more than comedy, otherwise we’d simply watch The Naked Gun or The Hangover.  On top of the fact that I barely knew what a lesbian was at that time and getting both an education and a hard-on, I was being entertained; and in a way other types of movies couldn’t do.  For, pornography speaks to the condition of being a man in ways that other genres of film simply cannot.  It captures a fundamental aspect of manhood and of thinking like a man.  And it reminds us that there’s nothing wrong with thinking about sex, or with wanting to have it.  The desires involved are fully and completely human, as with my friend from Cali and his property mags.

As I watched more porn over the years, I also came to see that these movies supplied me with the fulfilment of fantasies and also of human drives.  Whether we are single or attached, monogamous or promiscuous, men need to feel, even only virtually, the spice of different sexual partners in their lives.  Call it anthropological, biological, or what you will: men are programmed to crave sexual variety, and porn offers us a safe, consequence-free way of doing so. The wish fulfilment merges with entertainment and curiosity.  Will the girl have big tits or just perky ones?  Will her pussy be totally shaved, in a landing strip, or au naturel? (I prefer the first).  Will she have a sexy accent?  Will her hair be long or in a bob, like the Japanese lesbians who popped my porn cherry?  We can explore these varieties as much as we want, and be entertained and fulfilled, while satisfying our curiosity over and over.

So the next time someone gives you grief for watching porn, remind them that their interest in property, cars, or sports isn’t really any different.  Porn is just another way of celebrating being human—and of simply being a man.

  • Pornstar from Philippines, May Ling Su!

Pornstar from Philippines, May Ling Su!

May Ling Su is a performer/producer of erotica and pornography. She polarized audiences with her performance with the notorious Max Hardcore, followed by a gallery exhibit of menstrual blood art.  Her portraits by celebrity photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders are in the book, “XXX: 30 Porn Star Portraits” and exhibited in fine galleries worldwide. She also appeared on “Thinking XXX,” an HBO documentary on the making of the book. She was nominated for the Feminist Porn Award. A short documentary film about her work was aired on the award-winning Dutch show Metropolis TV.  Anointed as a Pornsaint in Italy, artists painted her portraits and exhibited in Amsterdam and Zurich.  New York pop artist Sucklord created a Scratch ‘n Sniff Pussy May Ling Su trading card in his Suckpax 3 collection.  This year she began producing sexy audio books available on iTunes and Amazon. She blogs at MayLingSu.com and tweets @maylingsu.

SimplySxy:  What is your personal view on pornography?

May Ling Su:  Pornography can be a great way to discover one’s sexuality.  Sex ed is important, but it can be a very dry way of presenting something that is beyond physiological.  Porn can show us what excites us, peak our curiosity, let us know we’re not alone if our interests are beyond what’s typical, present ideas for adding spice to a relationship.  On the flip side it can also show us what repels us, which is just as important to know as what attracts us.

SimplySxy:  What were some of the challenges which you faced when you started out in the industry?

May:  I am an independent pornographer.  The challenge of creating a viable business while being true to myself was there when I started out in the industry, and remains throughout all the time I’ve spent in it.  My husband and I started making porn when we were young newlyweds, now we’re juggling parenthood with the need to maintain the spark that is vital to keeping a relationship together.  Our needs have changed.  But the challenge is the same: how to be true to ourselves and still provide our audience with porn that they love.

    Fence

SimplySxy:  What are your views regarding pornography addiction?

May:  Pornography addiction is no different from any addiction.  If your real life is suffering from your use of it, you’ve got a problem.  If you use it to make your life better, perhaps as a way to communicate with your partner, then you are mastering a powerful tool.

SimplySxy:  Please share with us one tip for ladies to enjoy anal sex?

May:  Just one? I’ve got a few: First, prepare for it.  If you’re clean down there, you’ll feel more confident sharing it with your partner.  Second, lube well.  I personally prefer natural over synthetic bottled lube.  Saliva is awesome, but if you must, try organic extra virgin coconut oil. You can get that at your local health food store. It melts to the touch and smells fantastic.  Third, relax.  I realize it’s easier said than done, but it’s really important not to tense up down there.  Fourth, take care of yourself after.  Take a warm bath.  Pamper yourself.  Drink lots of water.

SimplySxy:  What is the ultimate role play for you?

May:  I like playing the bad girl.  I’m such a good girl in real life.  I’m really responsible and mindful.  Always have been.  So in sex play I like going against my usual type.  I love being the naughtiest and dirtiest, whether it’s the naughty schoolgirl who’s being punished or the nasty siren leading a good man astray.

SimplySxy:  Which do you think is the sexiest part of a men’s body?

May:  The sexiest part of a man’s body is his brain.  I love smart men.  I love geeky men.  I love men who have a wicked sense of humor.

SimplySxy:  What is your favourite sex toy?

May:  I used to have a little clown vibe, and it came with a red fabric hat.  Had it forever, took it with me everywhere.  It died just recently.  I’ve been trying different toys, but I haven’t found anything as good.  I miss that little clown.

SimplySxy:  Share with us one secret to spice it up in bed with a lover?

May:  No matter what your preferences are, whether you’re vanilla or kinky, one thing you can do to heat things up really quickly is talk dirty.  You could be in the dark, naked under the sheets but some dirty talk can elevate the moment into a fantasy.  Accents are fun, and if you speak a different language, that can be very sexy as well.

    insta-dorothy

SimplySxy:  What defines a sexy man according to you?

May:  A sexy man is one who uses everything in his power to seduce.  He takes care of his body, and makes the most of what he’s got.  He uses the power of words to captivate, whether it’s spoken, or sent by email, text, handwritten notes.  And presents!  Everyone likes presents!  A sexy man is devoted to sharing pleasure and mischief with his partner.

SimplySxy:  In your opinion, what can a guy do to give a girl a mind-blowing orgasm?

May:  I think there is too much pressure on the orgasm.  So many rules, tips and how-to’s.  10 Ways to Give a Girl a Mind-Blowing Orgasm, as if just going through the checklist would guarantee one.  We’ve forgotten that sex play is PLAY.  My advice is just play!  Discover each other, see what makes the other feel good, get out your toys, laugh at mistakes, push the envelope, surprise each other, be bad.  At the end of it the question shouldn’t be, did you come?  It should be, did you have fun?

A message from you to all your fans and the SimplySxy readers:

Thank you for having me on SimplySxy.  If I’ve inspired some kind of naughty fun in you, I’d love to read about it.  Comment below.  If it’s too naughty, comment at my blog MayLingSu.com (NSFW).  You can also connect with me @maylingsu on twitter and instagram; or look up May Ling Su on Facebook and G+.  See you soon!

  • Erika Icon of The Rub PR

Erika Icon of The Rub PR

Short Bio description of yourself and The Rub PR:

Born in NYC and with an East Coast attitude to match, Erika Icon is one of the feistiest women in the Adult Industry. With almost nine years in the industry under her belt working in many facets of the industry including retail buyer, writer, sex advice columnist, DVD, website and toy reviewer, and publicist, Icon has forged many relationships with performers, studio owners, sales personnel, distributors and magazines that have helped her promote her clients and their brands effectively and bring them into the mainstream market. In 2008, Icon started her own PR firm, The Rub, THE full-service adult PR agency that works with the top studios and performers. Since then, she has worked with new and established talent, along with some of the best adult studios and companies in the industry. In 2011, she was XBIZ’s WIA (Woman in Adult) for the month of November and has garnered three nominations from the Fame Registry for Publicist of the Year, along with a 2014 XBIZ Awards nomination for Marketing Campaign of the Year for her work on Sparks Entertainment’s “The Vampire Mistress”.

    The Rub Logo_web

SimplySxy:  As the porn industry is very competitive, what are some traits or personality types that suit and are able to survive in it?

Erika Icon:  Every week hundreds of girls enter the porn industry. Even though the average life span of a porn starlet is six months, girls can persevere with drive, talent and the right agents and publicists behind them. Being hot isn’t enough, you also need to be professional, meaning arriving on time and treating everyone on set with respect.

SimplySxy:  For an aspiring or current porn star, what is the attraction of The Rub PR which will get them to hire your company?

Erika:  Many companies make promises they can’t and/or don’t intend to keep. We don’t overpromise, but we definitely over deliver. We offer the usual interviews and press releases, but we also offer our clients way more services that other PR firms at a very affordable price, whether they’re a performer or company. For example, for the girls, we find them a place to sign at tradeshows, book feature dancing, and get them mainstream work. Most of our clients are attained from referrals from current and past clients.

Also, I’m a Nichiren Buddhist and I try to live my life treating others well. I care about all my clients and do my best to help them succeed and be happy.

SimplySxy:  There are many adult agencies and production companies, using the promise of good money as a way to entice people into the industry.  How is one able to tell the difference between a legitimate and a scam?

Erika:  When you say adult agencies, I think you mean talent agents. Yes, some are better than others. Production companies, studios and directors who aren’t legitimate can definitely scam the performers. I’ve known many girls who book their own work only to be scammed by a creep with a camera who’s looking to get laid and capture the event on film. This is where a good agent comes in. An agent knows the legitimate businesses, and makes sure you’re safe and paid. Agents make my life easier because the girls have money coming in and more things to promote.

SimplySxy:  The Rub PR has gotten some of their clients into mainstream projects such as a reality show.  How is the approach different as compared to adult entertainment?

Erika:  At some point, the girls are done with being in front of the camera. If a girl has a good look and can act, mainstream is definitely a possibility. Those who don’t want to direct adult films or work for studios need other options.

Many of my clients want to do mainstream. I got one of my clients on a reality show premiering on a major network and a few of my girls in horror movies. I’m currently working with a mainstream writer/director on a major mainstream movie that will be made next year and stars four of my current clients.

The main difference between working in adult and mainstream seems to be how the directors and other people on set treat the porn girls. They don’t always know how to treat them, so it’s our job to educate them.

    iconedit

SimplySxy:  You have lectured at the AEVC 2014 earlier this year.  Is there a growing demand for virtual entertainment and do you see technology possibly entering television and homes in future?

Erika:  The AEVC was for industry professionals, not so much the public. As for how entertainment is delivered, it seems people like streaming and downloading porn because they like the immediacy and also the anonymity of not getting porn or their doorstep or going to a store where people can see them.

SimplySxy:  The use of condoms, or lack of, in pornography is being heavily scrutinized.  What are your thoughts on it and the possible bearing on the industry if the law is passed on mandatory use?

Erika:  The law has been passed in the city and county of Los Angeles, but not statewide…yet. We’re a private industry and I think government needs to stay out of our business on all levels. The AHF (AIDS Healthcare Foundation) started this whole witch-hunt of our industry, even though they should be focused on people with HIV or AIDS. The porn industry has always governed ourselves just fine, as far as testing and protocols go.

With fines for not having permits and/or using condoms, our industry has been hit pretty hard, and some studios have even shut down or moved out of state. The bottom line is fans don’t want to see condoms in movies and they’re uncomfortable for performers to wear them having such hardcore sex. We’re going to be feeling the impact on many levels for some time and if this passes statewide, it will get worse. Porn will have to go underground like it did in the 70s.

SimplySxy:  With your experience in the industry, porn caters to every person and imaginable fetish available.  What are the most popular genres currently?

Erika:  Interracial seems to be one of the most popular. I do see the BBW and tranny genres gaining a lot of traction.

SimplySxy:  Piracy has hit the porn industry hard, even more so with the internet as compared to pre 90s.  How do you see the industry adapting and even surviving this?

Erika:  The ironic thing is it’s just like Napster, and we all thought Napster was a great thing, but in reality it wasn’t. When people download free porn, they are not only stealing content, but they’re halting new production. Less movies are being made because of this, and that means less content and the performers are working less.

A movie can go up on tube sites before it even hits the Internet or store shelves. The studios send cease and desist letters, but the content just pops up on another site. Many of these tube sites are off shore so it’s hard to prosecute them. I’m not sure how we can really go after this problem, but there are companies like Takedown Piracy going after people. It seems that webcamming and novelties are the only ones not dealing with this problem and they’re the big moneymakers right now.

SimplySxy:  There is a certain stigma that comes along with Pornography.  Please help us clear up one misconception people might have about it.

Erika:  Oh there are so many. I guess if I were only discuss one it would be people’s perceptions of people who work in porn. We call these outsiders “civilians”. Civilians have an idea about how porn people are—they usually think the women are slutty, stupid and/or crazy, and even worse things about the men. Are some of the women like this? Sure. It’s like any industry. But, in my nine years working in adult, I’ve met some of the most amazing people. Those who are on the outside looking in can unfairly judge the industry, which is not just wrong but also sad.

SimplySxy:  Here at SimplySxy, we are all about promoting “sex positivity”.  Can you give your take on sex positivity?

Erika:  To me, sex positivity is accepting people as they are no matter what they are (trans men, t-girls, or bio men and women) or whom they choose have sex with. My dad always says that Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors for a reason, and he’s right—everybody’s got something they like and that makes them tick.

A message from you to all your fans and the SimplySxy readers:

I’m not sure if I have that many fans, although I have a few on Twitter. So, I’ll address this to your readers. If you watch porn, please pay for it. My job and many other people’s livelihoods depend on it. It wouldn’t be cool if you went to work and didn’t get paid—piracy is the same thing. Be nice to each other and don’t judge people on the sex they have or who they’re with.

If you want to know more about me and/or learn about the industry, I have blogs on my site http://therubpr.com/, and http://www.xcritic.com/ and http://rockconfidential.com/. My Twitter is @therubpr and my Facebook Company Page is https://www.facebook.com/TheRubPRBizPage.

  • Lesbian Porn vs. Gay Porn

    Lesbian Porn vs. Gay Porn

Lesbian porn and gay porn: At first glance, seemed to look like different sides of the same coin. However, it is very difficult to place them into the proverbial box.

Firstly, lesbian porn is not designed for lesbians. It is designed in the imagery of the heterosexual male’s fantasy. Most sexual positions that are seen in these movies are targeted to arouse men. Take for example the scissors position; it is a very awkward position for women to have their legs and groin in such a pose. It is a pose that takes a lot of effort but with very little returns. However, there is no doubt that the pose is visually stunning on camera.

Heterosexual men do not have a clear understand on how orgasm in women occurs. Many still have the perception that orgasm only occurs when penetration happens. This is not true. Dr. William Masters, a pioneer in the nature of human sexual response published a paper on this topic in 1966. Dr. Masters found that a clitoral orgasm shows the same sexual response as a vaginal orgasm. If such information has been around for decades, why then is our society still clueless when it comes to matters in bed?

On the other side of the coin, anal sex or any form of male submission in gay porn is a turn off for heterosexual men. Most straight people have the notion that anal sex is the main sexual satisfaction that gay men are looking for. However, not all gay men want anal sex. There are many gay men that choose to abstain from anal sex but yet have very healthy sexual relationships with their partners. Penetration is not the only way to receive emotional and sexual satisfaction. Like any relationship, one must take the time to find out what sexually stimulates your partner.

Gay porn is very much interwoven in a gay man’s life; much like heterosexual porn to straight men. Most porn stars have become a household name. If you mention names like Peter Fever and Johnny Rapid, you will definitely strike a chord with a gay man. Last year, there was a great loss in the gay porn industry as well as in the gay community. Koh Masaki, a famous gay porn star died at the age of 29. His death was sudden and tragic. Koh Masaki has starred in over a hundred gay porn films and is known for his good looks, masculinity and passion on scene. He brought joy and comfort to many gay men. Upon his death, millions all of around the world went into mourning together with his partner and his family.

Porn has many sides and many faces. It has different meanings to different people. Porn is also a heightened version of society’s sexual needs. However, the lack of dialog for such taboo conversations prevents us from having a deeper understanding of the complexity of the human sexual experience. If such open dialog takes place, it can help many understand that homosexual porn is far too dynamic to be stereotyped as different sides of the same coin.

  • Meet Alana Evans, MILF & Gamer Pornstar

Meet Alana Evans, MILF & Gamer Pornstar

How do you describe awesomeness?  Two words.  Alana Evans!  That’s me!  I’m a MILF, a gamer girl, and your favourite pornstar.  I’ve been making dirty movies since I was 21 years old, starting in 1998.  I’ve appeared in more than a thousand scenes, which means I’ve been a busy girl.  I first started making porn so I could become a feature dancer, but I had so much fun making movies, I never really left to hit the road and dance.

I’ve been honored a few times by AVN with numerous nominations for Best Supporting Actress, Best Sex Scenes, and more.  I won my first AVN Award in 2007 for Best Solo Sex Scene in Corruption.  I won Unsung Siren from the X-Rated Critics Organization, and well as a KSEX Radio award.  This year, 2013, I am nominated for MILF of the Year for Xbiz, Hottest MILF for AVN Awards, as well as Best Non Sex Performance for my role in a Wicked Pictures movie.  In July, I won the Orgasm Girl of the Month contest.

One of my most incredible films was Not Thea162759_xlf copy Brady’s XXX, in which I play Mrs. Brady.  This was the first parody that started the porn parody craze.  With its release in 2008, we won several awards, and I was nominated for Best Supporting Actress again.  X-play has since released 4 movies in the series, all winning numerous awards, with the latest being nominated for Best Parody Comedy with XBIZ.

Over the years, I’ve made my fair share of hot features, but I am mostly known for my dirty gonzo styles scenes.  I have always been that happy, bubbly girl who loves to get fucked.  I have so much fun being an exhibitionist.  I’ve always enjoyed pleasing my audience, whether it’s on camera or real life.

These days, I’m loving my work because I’m a real MILF.  I get paired up with cute innocent young guys, and it’s awesome.  But in my personal life, I love every kind of man.  I think older men are quite sexy.  They definitely know how to please me.  But don’t get me wrong, I love teaching young guys the ways around a MILF.  Lucky for me, my job gives me access to all kinds of tasty treats.

SimplySxy:  Congratulations Alana for your longevity in the industry.  What do you do to stay competitive and relevant with the ever changing scene and influx of new porn stars in the last 10 years?

Alana Evans:  Our business has changed so much over the last 17 years, I have definitely had to adapt. When I started in 1998, I was the small breasted, sweet and innocent girl next door. Over the years, as I’ve matured physically and sexually, I’ve always done my best to stay true to myself. I went from being the naughty little submissive, to the dirty MILF in charge. I am lucky that my fans have been loyal over the years, and they are always waiting for something new. That has really helped me roll with the constant competition.

SimplySxy:  You have been nominated for numerous awards and won your first AVN award in 2007.  It must have been a great personal achievement and recognition after the years of work?

Alana:  I won my first award in 2001 from XRCO. It was for Unsung Siren. Those words basically summarize the majority of my career. I was always the hard working bad girl and I did by best not to get caught up in the hype of the awards shows. It’s tough as a young girl to be nominated for so many awards, yet lose to the “popular crowd.” I eventually realized that more performer value isn’t represented by a trophy, but by the years of dedication I’ve put in. winning my only AVN Award in 2007 was a huge shock, and one of the most exciting moments of my career. It was for Corruption from Sexy Pictures. During that movie, my friendship with Will Ryder began, and he changed my life. After playing Mrs. B in Not The Bradys XXX, I started to receive the attention I deserved and I was very pleased. I couldn’t be more thankful to Will and Scott from X Play. I have since received numerous MILF of the Year nominations, and I hope to snag that trophy one day.

SimplySxy:  You have starred in over 400 films and thousands of scenes.  Which is one of your most memorable?

Alana:  Out of all of my movies and scenes, Not the Bradys XXX is by far my favourite. Making Mrs. B sexy was a great task, and an incredible role. We have made 5 films so far, with more to come. This movie started the parody craze and I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of it. As for my raunchy gonzo days, my scene with Tiffany Mynx and Mike Adriano is my favourite. I’ve always loved Tiffany, and working with her was a dream come true. To share Mike’s giant cock was a dirty blessing!

SimplySxy:  What is your favorite sex position?

Alana:  My favorite position is doggy style! I love being banged from behind while having my hair pulled and my neck nibbled. Get’s me so hot!

SimplySxy:  You are a MILF of every young guy’s dreams.  Share with us, what can a guy do to catch your eye?IMG00210

Alana:  I love guys that have a quirky personality and can make me laugh. If we can play video games together, I’m in heaven!

SimplySxy:  You had an opportunity to direct a film before.  Is that experience a lot tougher than acting on screen?

Alana:  I owned my own production company, Royalty X Films. We shot several projects and I enjoyed every minute of it. I really love writing scripts, dressing pretty girls, and making movie magic. The production end was always easy for me. I’m very organized so we always had fun stress free shoots.

SimplySxy:  Has there been an embarrassing or awkward sex situation you can remember (on-set or off-set)?

Alana:  There are always a few awkward moments. In my younger days, I was filming for Bruce Seven for one of his ButtSlammers Titles. A stoll was created that had a dildo in place so we could bounce on it. As I was using it, the dildo broke and I actually fell off the chair. The fact we were covered in olive oil probably didn’t help. We all laughed. The editors actually left it in the movie!

SimplySxy:  As an avid gamer, is there any particular genre of game you like?

alanarobinAlana:  When I say I play everything, I mean it. I love role playing games, first person shooters, adventure games, puzzle games, and fighting games! I remember my first time playing Gears of War with the rumble pack attached to my controller. Every time I was killed, it would go off. It scared the crap out of me and I would often throw it! Now, I just laughed and slaughter grubs.

SimplySxy:  There are many games with sex scenes such as Grand Theft Auto, God of War III etc.  Do you think it will be fun to have a game that is just purely on sex?

Alana:  I once bought a game for my 3DO. This is was one of the first ever disk playing consoles. The game was called Night Trap. You were basically spying on girls at a sorority house via cameras. I loved this game. I felt like such a pervert. I was before I really started playing with girls, so this was a great turn on for me. I know that sex based games are the future. Pink Visuals has a great game called the Sex Simulator. You can create your own characters and make your own animated sex scenes! It was free to download and play, but extra options were available for a small fee. You could dress them in different kinds of lingerie, buy different sex toys, and completely control the thrusting movements of your characters.

SimplySxy:  Choice between completing Walking Dead Season Two, Episode Two or having amazing sex on the couch?

Alana:  If the option to play a video game or have sex comes up… these days… I usually play the game first, and have sex after! I know… terrible. lol

  • Interview with Jay Smooth, Male Pornstar from Poland

Interview with Jay Smooth, Male Pornstar from Poland

My name is Jay Smooth and I am an adult model and performer originally from Poland.  I joined the adult industry in early 2013.  I am still very new to the porn industry and I am enjoying that exciting journey every single day.

SimplySxy:  Where do you see the industry in the next 10 years?

Jay Smooth:  The boundary between mainstream and porn slowly fades and I believe that porn will not be considered so negatively in the next 10 years and it will become shown on public television and certain genres of pornography, like glamcore will be generally accepted by society as a beautiful depiction of sexuality.

    _MG_9269

SimplySxy:  Does size really matter for male actors in the porn industry?

Jay:  I think it does.  It is easier for well-endowed performers to showcase female performers better.  Basically, there is more variations and angles of penetration that can be shown.  However, performers with extremely big penises might hurt their co-workers even unintentionally, so I would say 7in and up is the porn standard.  What is more important is whether (the) male performer’s tool is working properly.

SimplySxy:  Can you share with us one funny/awkward/embarrassing moment that have happened on set?

Jay:  I remember one of my first shoots where I had to work with a girl that has never shoot porn before and what is even worse, she was an open lesbian and never had had sex with men before.  To make things worse, she was on her period that day.  You can imagine that it wasn’t the easiest day for me.

SimplySxy:  What is your favourite porno scenario?

Jay:  I have a huge foot fetish so I love to work in this genre and all possible scenarios work for me there.  Also, I love outdoor shoots, massage scenarios and bodies full of oil.  My favorite shoots are those full of passion and kissing, glamcore shoots.

SimplySxy:  How do you psych yourself if you are not turned on by the set or co-stars?

Jay:  I always try to focus on the sexiest part of my female co-star body.  There are always some sexy parts of females bodies that help me stimulate myself.  Although, all of us have days where we are not that sensitive and it takes more effort to stimulate sexually.  Then, imagination and concentration helps.

SimplySxy:  What’s the easiest way to feel aroused for you? And what is your biggest turn on during sex?

Jay:  The easiest way to feel aroused for me is to feel as comfortable with my co-star as possible.  Outgoing, nice personality and dirty mind helps a lot.  Of course, I cannot stress enough how physical attraction is important.  The biggest turn on for me is deep look into my eyes by my female partner as well as their kinky nature.  As I mentioned before, I love beautiful feet so if everything else fails, that’s usually a very stimulating body part of my co-stars.

SimplySxy:  What is the most orgasmic thing a lover can do to you?

Jay:  Touch me, kiss me, and stare deeply into my eyes while I am penetrating her.

    _MG_9489

SimplySxy:  Where is the strangest/craziest place you’ve ever had sex?

Jay:  On a plane and at the parking lot in my car right next to a police car.

SimplySxy:  Your personal view towards pornography?

Jay:  I’ve enjoyed pornography since I was a teenager. I personally see nothing wrong with pornography. I think it has its therapeutic role in people’s lives. To me, it inspired me to experiment sexually and become sexually free. I have always been a very sexual individual and I have learnt to embrace it.

SimplySxy:  Sexiest body part a woman you enjoy kissing?

Jay:  Lips, boobs, feet and vagina, in that particular order.

A message from you to all your fans and the SimplySxy readers:

  • Interview with Mike Kulich, founder of Monarchy Distribution & Stunner PR

Interview with Mike Kulich, founder of Monarchy Distribution & Stunner PR

For the past 10 years, Mike Kulich has worked in almost every area of the adult entertainment business.  Beginning in 2004, he started in sales at International Video Distributors (IVD), the world’s largest adult DVD distribution company where he built up an extensive network of stores and online retailers.  After 4 years, he left to start DVD Makers which quickly became the premiere company for adult studios throughout the country to replicate and manufacture their DVDs.  After DVD Makers, Kulich started Monarchy Distribution with the goal of connecting talent that self-produce content with traditional DVD and broadcast distribution.  Since the formation of Monarchy in 2010, the company has received over 35 industry award nominations and 5 wins.  He is also the owner of Stunner PR, a full service PR agency which helps adult talent, video, and novelty companies help expand their brand.

SimplySxy:  Pornography is very much available freely on the internet now than it was in the 90s.  In some ways, it is easier for films and porn stars to widen their reach but a downside of it is more piracy.  How do you think the industry will and should evolve towards?

Mike Kulich:  The effect piracy has had on the Adult Industry has been absolutely devastating.  When I started my first job in 2004 it was a completely different time.  We were moving 10,000 pieces of some titles and nowadays when it comes to DVD you are very lucky if you can do 10% of that.  The effects piracy have had on our industry are something that cannot be fixed.  The vast majority of people will never pay for porn again.  For companies to survive they have to adapt to different platforms and find new revenue streams for their content.  Up until 2007, DVD was the bread and butter of every studio.  Now you see studios branching out into other types of digital distribution including VOD, PPV, Broadcast, Hotels, etc.  The main reason I created SkweezMe.com was to try to bring revenue back to the studios.  We reinvented the VOD model.  Competing sites still require you to buy packages of minutes.  $1.00 on those sites will buy you about 12 minutes of streaming content.  On SkweezMe.com, $1.00 gives our users 24 hours of access to stream unlimited content on our platform for that full day.  I think the goal to get people to start paying for porn again is give them quality content at a price that people won’t mind paying as well as a platform which they can access anywhere and is quick and even more user friendly than the tube sites.  The industry norm for paysites is $29.99 a month which comes out to the same as our platform, but with SkweezMe.com, you only pay for the days that you use our service so if you only use our platform 4 days a month you are only paying $4.00.  The thing that most of the tube users don’t realize is that the majority of the clips and scenes they are watching on these tubesites are all pirated.  They go to a website that has an Alexa rating right around Yahoo.com so they automatically assume since the site is so big and popular they have to be legitimate but it’s exactly the opposite.  I use a company called Take Down Piracy and all they do is patrol the tube and torrent sites and send DMCA notices on my behalf to get my content that has been pirated taken down.

SimplySxy:  There has been an increasing number of homemade videos from celebrities and just about any non-celebrity surfacing online ever so often.  People seem to like to watch these “real and non-scripted” stuff even if the quality of the vid isn’t fantastic.  Is that something porn industry will consider producing to make videos similar?

Mike:  Amateur content has obviously seen an explosion in the past few years with the rise of tube sites, social media and ease with connecting with other people.  I have a line called Amateur Relations which is just that, user submitted content that we pay to the couples who produce it.  It does do very well, however it is still a small niche in a very large market.  The amount of amateur content online is probably more than the mainstream porn that is produced and the market is very saturated so I do not see studios dumbing down the quality of their content to compete in a small niche in the business.

SimplySxy:  As with every industry, it takes a lot to stay competitive and survive in business.  What do you think an aspiring porn star needs to make it?

Mike:  The competitiveness of the business is harsher than it has ever been.  Because of the rampant piracy, a lot of studios have shut down, shoot less, or don’t shoot at all anymore.  On the other side of the coin, the amount of talent has exploded.  There are more active performers in the industry than ever before with 70% less work to satisfy the workforce.  For a girl to really stand out and have a successful career she needs to realize that unless you are in bed sleeping, you should be promoting yourself 24/7.  Twitter, Facebook, Paysites, Tumblr and having a good publicist can help you accomplish that.  In an industry where busloads of new girls pull into town every day, you need to make sure that when a director or studio head opens a magazine or adult news site you are right in front of their face.  It’s also really important to be professional on set, build solid friendships and make sure you are maintaining a positive reputation because the industry really is very small and tight-knit.  Lastly, I would say that you have to be fully devoted to your career.  If you are a girl that has one foot in the door and one foot out or are just shooting a scene to pay the most recent bill, you won’t see a lot of success and when all is said and done, that decision may come back to haunt you.  It’s all about hustling.  In adult it’s not easy anymore. Only the strong survive.

SimplySxy:  Do you think more control is necessary to prevent children and underaged teens from having access to porn or is this up to the individual families to control?.

Mike:  This is a two sided argument that goes back to the tube sites.  The majority of pay sites go through a reputable billing processor.  On my site SkweezMe.com, for someone to view any type of content they have to sign up and pay.  Our merchant processor has built in age verification.  Most paysites are like this.  However, if you look at the tube sites, when you type in the address it goes straight to the front page that is covered in clips.  There is no age verification and these are the sites most of the people watching porn are using.  I guarantee if you ask any teenage boy between the ages of 12-17 if they have ever viewed porn they will say yes and the site they saw it on would be one of the major tubes which did nothing to prevent someone underage from accessing the content on their site.

SimplySxy:  There are people who cringe and judge a person differently when they hear that they watch pornographic material.  In your opinion, are there benefits from watching porn other than just using it to jack off?

Mike:  I think everyone can agree that the majority of the people who utilize porn are horny guys just jacking off, but there are really big markets within the industry that prove there are benefits.  If you look at New Sensations director Jacky St. James, she primarily produces romance and couples films.  The majority of the people who are buying her product are couples and women.  These types of movies can help enhance a couple’s sex life.  Then there is also the instructional genre which can teach viewers how to better satisfy their partner.  They have instructional videos for almost everything including G-Spots, Prostate Massages, Different positions, etc.  We are one of the few industries in the world that gives the consumer EVERYTHING they could ever want.

SimplySxy:  Where kind of scenes do you enjoy filming most?

Mike:  Our MILF lines are probably our best selling titles. We have a loyal fan base that will pick up every MILF movie we put out and that genre has always been a big cornerstone of Monarchy and we have won a few awards for them as well.

SimplySxy:  Are there many differences between various countries when it comes to producing porn?  Say comparing those coming out from America with Japan?

Mike:  The laws and outlook on filming pornography vary from country to country.  Currently there is legislation in Mexico to treat all pornographic content shot in the country to be treated as sex trafficking with heavy penalties including serving upwards of 15 years in prison.  Europe obviously has always been much less prude than the rest of the world.  If you look at the content that comes out of Europe it is usually much harder, a lot more anal, and has sex acts that you would not see in a American movie.  Because of the obscenity issues in the US, American porn compared to other countries is considered very cookie cutter.

SimplySxy:  Which is your favorite porn star you have worked with?

Mike:  I would say Alana Evans. I have known her for years and she has been in the business for over 17 years and she is still relevant. She is still shooting all the time, as well as pursuing big things in other industries.

SimplySxy:  Do you sometimes feel weary from all the sex?  With your business and line of work, and then getting it on a personal level?

Mike:  I don’t get weary.  The adult business for me is just like any other job.  Porn is a product I sell. I will say that I am very desensitized from it though.  Porn just doesn’t excite me the way it would if I worked in another industry.

SimplySxy:  This is a question from one of our readers.  What does it take to date a porn star?

Mike:  Most of the girls I know date within the industry but I do know girls that date civilians (non industry guys).  I think the key is to realize that the girls are here to do a job.  Just because you see a girl on camera getting double penetrated by two huge guys doesn’t mean that’s an invitation to bring your buddy home and do the same thing to her.  This is acting.  It’s a job.  You also have to be comfortable with the fact that this is what they do for a living.  Jealousy will get you nowhere.  Just be a genuinely good dude and you shouldn’t have a problem.

  • Feminist Porn: Orgasmic, Honest and Empowering!

Feminist Porn: Orgasmic, Honest and Empowering!

Pornography is one of those hot-button issues (like abortion or same-sex marriage) that many people are markedly divided on: you’re either pro or anti-porn. This division is largely influenced by feminism and women’s movements (which men can be a part of too!) which proclaim that mainstream porn is produced by men, for men, which leads to the objectification and (non-consensual) humiliation of women. However there is hope; there is feminist porn!

Unfortunately, the proclamation about mainstream porn being objectifying and demeaning of women is pretty accurate. Watch any heterosexual porn; it is easy to see that the woman’s sexual needs and pleasure are not a priority.  The “male gaze” of the camera portrays women as objects because the camera largely focuses on the women’s body parts (her breasts or vagina), instead as a whole. For those of you who are unsure, this is a prime example of objectification; depicting a woman as disjointed body parts, not as a person.  She is not seen as a sexual being with her own sexual needs. Even lesbian mainstream porn is created for men’s pleasure and still is not focused on female desire or showing women as whole women. The viewer primarily only sees fingers going into vaginas or tongues licking clits—not good!

Don’t worry, feminist porn is here to save the female orgasm … I mean day! What is feminist porn you ask?  Feminist porn is made by feminists (mostly women, but that’s not always the case) and attempts to give the audience what mainstream porn doesn’t—real people sometimes of different gender identities and sizes having real sex. Feminist porn likes to show real foreplay, real sex, and real orgasms. The viewer can see the individuals and partners not just as a vagina or a penis but as a person with different sexual desires or kinks.

How do feminist porn directors and producers show the audience real and not produced or forced sexuality? Well for starters, feminist pornographers are usually advocates of better wages and conditions for actors and actresses. Makes sense right? Better conditions to have sex, more freedom to voice concerns about the scene (i.e. wanting to wear a condom) and higher pay would make any employee feel better about their job and probably increase morale and productivity too.

In addition, feminist porn loves to showcase different kinds of actors and actresses. It can be difficult to find trans, gender fluid, gender bending or queer actors in mainstream porn, but there are plenty of queer folks in feminist porn who love to have sexy fun too. Mainstream porn can seem limited with the actors they showcase; they are mostly White, able-bodied individuals and often straight-identifying people play gay, lesbian or bi-roles. In feminist porn there are queer-identifying people playing queer-identified roles, which also adds to the authenticity of the porn.

Feminist porn also likes to bring gender and social issues to center stage in some of the filming by highlighting disability, gender and/or sex roles. Having actors who have disabilities, androgynous (having masculine and feminine characteristics) or show actors in non-traditional power roles (like having a woman cum on a man) can push the cultural norms of what it means to be beautiful, powerful or sexually active.

Don’t be mistaken, feminist porn is not just for women or activists or queer people though. Feminist porn has a wide range of genres with an even wider range of actors to play in the scenes. There are sensual scenes like mutual masturbation between a woman and her male partner to an orgy scene with five men and women using gadgets such as ball-gags and crops while playing. There’s definitely something that would tickle almost anyone’s fancy.

This is just a glimpse into what feminist porn has to offer. Feminist porn wants to expand the audience’s ideas about desire, sexuality, beauty, gender, and power through revolutionary film-making with happy, consenting and sometimes gender bending actors. It’s all about empowerment both for the actors and producers, as well as for the audience.  To watch some awesome feminist porn, check out the following links:

Cindy Starfall, the Asian Sensation, shares her love

Cindy Starfall was raised in a strict Vietnamese household that did not allow her to express herself sexually.  A year ago, the Asian sensation decided to make a career out of her sexual liberation by joining the adult industry.  Cindy is a regular at upscale swinger events and parties and loves celebrating her sexuality with fun, open-minded couples.  Since her debut the gorgeous exotic star has worked with XXX production companies such as Hustler, Wicked, Penthouse, Evil Angel, Digital Playground, Adam & Eve and many more.  Cindy is also a celebrated feature entertainer and currently tours the most popular gentlemen’s clubs with Hustler’s Asian Invasion Tour.  Cindy has already launched an online store where fans can buy DVDs, request autographed pictures and other Cindy Starfall memorabilia directly from the star. The business-savvy beauty launched the first design in her men’s t-shirt line at the 2014 AE Expo.  Though the petite starlet has only been performing in the adult industry for a year, her work has already been celebrated with a Best New Starlet nomination for the 2014 AVN Awards and XRCO Awards. Cindy was also nominated for Best Scene in a Non-Feature Release in the 2014 XBiz Awards.

    cindy_starfall_pillow2478

SimplySxy: Has the internet made the adult industry more difficult and competitive?

Cindy Starfall: In my opinion, the internet did make the industry more competitive but I believe there is still a DVD market out there who is willingly to spend money to watch new movies instead of waiting for free clips online.

SimplySxy: What are some of the misconceptions people have about the adult industry?

Cindy: The two main misconceptions about the adult industry that I often encounter are that we are diseased people and we are uneducated people.

First of all, these misconceptions can be found in any industry, even mainstream entertainment, so just because we have sex on camera does not mean that we are all dirty people.  We are tested every 14 days.  Because sex is my job, I’m more conscious of my body and take better care of it.
Another misconception that the reason we do porn (is) because we are uneducated and can’t do anything else, so we have to “sell” ourselves.  I want to state that the reason we do porn is because we genuinely love sex.  As for me, I love the audience and the fantasy of having someone or a camera watching me is a turn on.  I graduated with a BA in Business Marketing and know many porn stars with college educations!

Of course, there are some pornstars out there that fit the typical stereotype, but please be open minded and don’t generalize us all to be in one category!

    Cindy_Starfall_red2279

SimplySxy: Can you share with us one funny/awkward/embarassing moment that have happened on set?

Cindy: An awkward moment would be when I first started, I did a hardcore throat f**king scene and he shot a huge load all over my face. Accidentally, few drops got into my eyes and it started to get red.  I was new so I didn’t bring any eye drops for my eyes.  So I went to a drug store and the lady was very helpful, but she couldn’t stop asking why I’m getting pink eyes.  What should I say? Oh somebody just shot a huge load in my eyes?  LOL

SimplySxy: Does all the sex during filming make it easier or harder when you have sex off camera?

Cindy:  Sex on camera is different that sex off camera.  I still have sex a lot off camera because I don’t have to worry much about giving a performance, lighting, timing, etc and I can just enjoy the moment.

SimplySxy:  Solo, DP, Gangbang, which scene do you like best?

Cindy: I love when a guy is f**king me and slides his finger into my asshole so we can kinda call it a DP.  Since I’m still an anal virgin, one day I will definitely try it.  I also love gangbangs because (I’m) surrounded by many horny men and they can take advantage of me.

    cindy_starfall_blackred2965

SimplySxy:  Do you love using sex toys in the bedroom? And name a favourite sex toy you can’t do without?

Cindy: I love using my sex toys in the bedroom as part of my everyday routine.  We can find all of my favourite sex toys in “Brookstone” in the mall LOL.  They call it a “personal massager”.   Everytime I walk in the store, I fantasize about giving people a visual demonstration.  Some of my favourites also include the Hitachi and Lelo vibrator,…

SimplySxy: Please share with us one of your sexual fantasies?

Cindy: One of my sexual fantasies is being man-handled by two brothers or two best friends, because not everyone is comfortable in having sex with someone close to them or the social rule is that you don’t f**k your guy’s brother or best friend.  The idea is twisted and it makes it more exciting.

SimplySxy: Which body part of a guy do you like most?

Cindy: Besides his big cock and his smile, I love a man with a brain.  If I can’t have a conversation with someone, no matter how attractive he is, I eventually get bored and the sex can be boring.

    cindy_starfall_lace2885

SimplySxy: What is the most orgasmic thing a guy can do to you?

Cindy: Clit, clit ,clit! Licking my clit is the magic word.  My eyes would start rolling back and the only thing I want to do is jump on him and f**k the heck out of that cock.

SimplySxy:  In your opinion, what defines sex positivity?

Cindy: Chemistry.  It’s about pleasing each other, finding each other orgasmic spot and getting to know each other body.
