Hi Kimberly it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Thanks so much for having me. I’m a twenty-something Korean-American lifestyle blogger based in the DMV (aka the DC/MD/VA area). I’m a teacher + concert pianist + doctoral student by day and a full-time influencer by night!

How will you describe your fashion style?

It’s tough to condense it into a few words because I’m kind of a style chameleon. I don’t have one particular vibe per se, because my outfits vary depending on my mood! Some days I’ll look super girly and on others, I’ll ooze edge.

If you could shop for free from any shop, which one will you choose?

Definitely BCBG! I am head over heels obsessed with their designs.

Do you believe in any superstition?

Hm, not really! I definitely used to when I was a little girl, but I guess I outgrew them!

What is the best compliment you have received?

I’m always super moved when people tell me I’ve inspired them in some way, shape, or form because it’s my life goal to motivate others!

If you could choose to learn anything in this world, what will it be?

I’d love to learn more languages! I’m bilingual so I speak English and Korean fluently, but I’d love to learn Spanish, too. I’m also a huge fan of hip hop dance so it’d be amazing if I could learn how to bust out killer moves one day!

How will you describe an ideal date?

A romantic dinner with great company sounds ideal to me! Good conversation is hard to come by so it’d be amazing to find someone I could really connect to.

To me, being sexy is all about confidence. Nothing’s sexier than a woman who’s truly comfortable in her own skin.

I love singing and playing the guitar. And I have won a number of championship singing contests. I am also a makeup lover, and I am currently setting up a new YouTube channel to share all my makeup skills and song covers.

How will you describe your fashion style? 妳會怎麼形容妳的時尚風格？

Simple and cute. Personally, I prefer plain and pink colours because they give off a comfortable vibe and are easy to match . Even though my choice of colours are simple, I pay a lot more attention to the fabric texture design and usually go for clothes that highlight my curves.

應該是簡約可愛風吧。我個人比較喜歡素色/粉色系，是因為這些顏色能幫給人柔和舒服的感覺，而且方便配搭。雖然顏色簡單，但我好著重衣服的質地和design ，會選擇突顯到曲線美的衣服。

Do you believe in any superstition? 你相信迷信嗎？

I believe in horoscopeism. To see how to communicate different kind of people and try to know more about them.

Are you a morning person or night owl? 那你習慣’早睡早起’還是個’夜貓子’？

Haha, I’m a night owl indeed because I love to play music and workout at night.

If you could learn anything in the world, what will it be? 假設你能學任何東西，那會是什麼？

That will be the Harry Potter’s powerful magic spells. Since I’m a big fan of this movie.

What do you find most attractive about the opposite sex? 異性最吸引你的是什麼？

He should have the ideal body type and speaks well. I like tall guys who give me a sense of security and protection.
He must also be refined and be able to hold a good conversation so that I can feel that I can learn a lot from him.

應該是身型和談吐吧。高大的身型會讓我覺得有安全感,能保護我。
談吐得體有修養, 感覺上我可以從他身上學到很多知識。

How will you describe an ideal first date? 能說說你會怎樣形容妳理想的第一約會？

The ideal date … has a romantic environment and soft music where we have a conversation about our life goals or play some piano/guitar together.

Hello! I am from Malaysia and have been staying in Singapore since 11 years old. I am 19 years old this year, I am currently schooling in the University Of Bradford (MDIS). I love to blog and vlog about fashion, lifestyle and food related content, I also enjoy working out 3-5 times a week and play games like LoL.

What kind of fashion and styles are you into?

I like a range of fashion and styles, and it changes daily based on my mood and the event of the day. However, I basically am more into the pure and clean styles after getting influenced by my Korean boyfriend so I will tend to choose pastel color clothing.

Which is the best compliment you have received?

It is so tough to choose the best compliment because any compliment from anyone meant something to me but I personally think the best compliment anyone can receive will be about their inner beauty, like being kind and smart.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

My favorite childhood memory will be cutting random pieces of cloth and making shirt and dresses out of it and walking around my grannys’ house showcasing my own fashion pieces to my families. It was really fun doing that when I when I was young.

Do you have a favourite flower?

Definitely Baby’s-breath, it’s so beautiful.

If you could have a super power, what will you choose to have?

I will choose to have teleportation super powers so I can just magically appear at different places around the world, travelling around, taking photos and living the dream life.

What is one thing a guy should never do on a date?

A guy should never let a girl wait for too long on a date!

How will you describe an ideal date?

An ideal date, is one that’s filled with laughter and happiness and makes you feel good at the end of the day even after the date ends.

Hong Kong Model & Blogger Fion Hui

I’m from Hong Kong, started modeling when I was 19 and now just started my career as a full time model and blogger.

How did you get started into modeling?

I was approached on the streets one day, and was quite surprised.

What genres of modeling do you do and enjoy doing?

High Fashion.

Which is your most memorable event or photoshoot so far?

Definitely the Asia New Star Model contest, I received two awards in Hong Kong, ended up in the top 3, and represented Hong Kong in Korea for the Final. Ended up with a prize even though I wasn’t in the top 3 and it was a memorable experience.

Do you believe in any superstition?

Not really, but I am careful with Chinese superstition.

If you could learn one thing about the future, what will it be?

Good question! I don’t know, there so many things I cant choose!

What is an ideal first date to you?

I’m an outdoor person, so for me, hiking or bike riding would be an ideal start! There’s a saying that I go by “I live to eat, not eat to live“. Anywhere that has amazing food for lunch, then relaxing at the beach while watching the sunset.

Lamest pickup line or attempt a guy has tried on you?

You look like one of my friends, what’s your name? I hear this too much.

Model, Blogger And Musician Samantha Mariko

Hi Samantha thank you for taking the time to answer our questions on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

It’s my pleasure. I’m a half-Japanese, half-American model, blogger and musician from southern California currently located in Tokyo, Japan. I actually didn’t think I would become a model or even work and live in Japan when I was still in school – I’ve studied classical piano until I graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Piano Performance.

But during my last few years in college, I luckily had some modeling opportunities, which kind of sparked the idea. I wanted to try something different, and put myself in a completely different environment. I moved to Tokyo the same year I graduated, and I’ve been here since.

How do you manage to juggle your blog, modeling and music?

I think the reason why it’s possible is because I love doing them all. My blog especially takes a lot of work, but I’m really fortunate that I’ve had so many people be willing to take part in my blog, which is the reason why it’s grown so much. I couldn’t have done it myself. In terms of music, it’s not really constant at the moment but I have some upcoming projects that I am excited about.

Can you describe a typical day for yourself?

Every day is different for me so I don’t really have a “typical” day… I do make sure I have a healthy breakfast to start my day while I watch the morning news. I’ll check my blog and social media, get ready for my day, maybe run errands… sometimes if I have a shoot, it might be an all day, all night thing. Sometimes I’ll go to an event or party, sometimes I’ll work on my blog and create content for it. I actually do a lot of odd jobs so it depends on the day.

What inspires you?

Music always inspires me. It moves me, it heals me… it’s empowering. I’m glad I’ve had music by my side my entire life. If you were to ask who inspires me, I’d have to say my mother. While I do what I do for myself, as selfish as it seems, I also do all that I do for her because I want to make her proud. When there are times where I just can’t lift my head up, she’s the one that lifts me so I can start over again.

Which is the biggest compliment you have received?

That I look like Cleopatra (laughs).

If you could have one chance to look into the future, what will you want to know?

If I will have any children. I’m seriously getting worried if I’ll even get married!

How is the dating scene different in California as compared to Tokyo?

Hmmm, in my experience, quite different. When I was dating guys in the States, it was never difficult to express my feelings, to say, “I love you.” I dated one Japanese guy since moving to Tokyo and wow, what a difference! Sometimes, I couldn’t even read his mind, and even if I said, “I love you,” he would barely reciprocate in the way I was used to. His excuse was he wasn’t accustomed to the “American” way of dating. It was very frustrating 90% of the time to be honest.

What do you find most attractive about the opposite sex?

Kindness.

How did you get started blogging and what do you blog on?

Writing has always been a pastime of mine so when I decided to take it online, it only felt natural. I started with personal blogging back when I was in sophomore highschool. It was only later did I discover my passion for style blogging.

Which is the most overrated fashion accessory?

Chokers. I see it everywhere but you gotta admit, they look really cute!

Describe a typical day for you?

I usually start my day by grabbing some brunch (because I usually wake up no earlier than noon), check on business e-mails and draft a blog post. The rest of my day varies between attending events, photoshoots or just bumming while watching TV.

If you could be a superhero, what will your superpower be?

Having the ability to freeze time or transport from one place to another would be cool.

Someone who doesn’t stick to small talk and has an amazing sense of humour.

Hola! I am Aldora and I’m from the sunny island – Singapore. I am a freelance Beauty, Fashion & Lifestyle blogger and an avid instagramer for @Aldora_Muses.

Aldora means “Noble” in English and “Winged Gift” in Greek. I believe that I exist for the noble purpose to be a winged gift in everybody’s life – shedding light to the doubtful and showering joy to those who are down. Oh by the way, I am also nicknamed “Rabbit” as that is my zodiac sign.

When did you start blogging and made you do it?

I started my blog “Musings of a Rabbit” (now rebranded as “Aldora Muses” for a more personal touch) about 3 years ago when I was still dating my fiancé (now husband).

We were always exploring new dining places during our dates and I thought it would be interesting if I were to share my experiences with others via my blog. I established my presence in the blogging industry as a Food Blogger but am shifting my focus to Beauty, Fashion & Lifestyle over the years.

In addition to that, I am fond of taking photos and my blog is the perfect platform for me to showcase my photos.

Is there a particular fashion or style trend in Singapore?

I would say that a comfy tee paired with shorts/jeans and flip-flops would be our favorite casual weekend style. Singaporeans tend to be easygoing when it comes to dressing in view of the humid weather here.

Name one instance of a fashion catastrophe you have witnessed?

I prefer not to highlight anything too negative here but my pet peeve will be sighting butt cracks with low-waisted jeans that are too loose. If I must list an instance.

What other hobbies do you have?

I enjoy online shopping, shooting OOTDs, café hopping, singing and watching the television whenever I am free.

If you could have one chance to learn something about the future, what will it be?

I would love to learn more about the upcoming opportunities available for grabs so that I will be prepared to seize hold of every opportunity that comes my way immediately. Think of it as investing on something that is guaranteed to make you handsome profits – how exciting!

What is an ideal first date to you?

My ideal first date would be a romantic candlelit dinner at an exquisite restaurant followed by an awesome musical. Sounds posh but in reality, my first date was nowhere like that *HAHA*

What do you find most attractive about the opposite sex?

I find witty and charismatic guys most attractive. Having that said, I wouldn’t resist humorous ones though.

Thanks for granting me the feature. To me, “sexy” means being comfortable under your own skin and having the sense of empowerment to influence others. It can be difficult at times because we tend to be self-conscious but I think it is important that we must accept ourselves first in order to feel sexy and convince others that we ARE indeed sexy.

Hi, I’m Alvynna, people call me alvy/missalvy. I’m 21 this year and I’m from Miri, Sarawak but currently based in KL.

How did your interest in blogging come about and what type of videos do you do?

It started out as a diary, merely for me to share my life story and experience about everything I love from travel, beauty and lifestyle, and I never expect that people will read my blog! I usually do beauty and travel videos, sharing tips and tricks on how to look good and also bringing my viewers on travel adventures.

How much time goes into the process of creating a video?

It usually take at least 2-3 days, if I don’t procrastinate. One day to shoot a video, at least two days to edit it.

What kind of fashion are you into?

I don’t have a fixed style, I usually just wear whatever that makes me feel comfortable and confident! But, I’m really into summer fashion, especially anything with off shoulder, something about showing off your shoulder makes you look sexy without being too trashy.

Is there something we will never catch you wearing?

I’ve always been experimental with what I wear, I guess I’ll wear anything! So, nope.

Do you believe in any superstition?

Do not pick up money that is found on the streets, I’ve always believe that it will bring bad luck, or it could be belong to some evil force/ghost (ya, I know it’s silly.)

What’s the craziest thing you have ever done?

I don’t really do anything too crazy, but I guess the craziest thing I ever did was booking a flight to somewhere far without telling my parents, and solo travel. That’s the best decision I’ve made in life so far.

What is the lamest pickup line or attempt a guy has tried on you?

It’s so common and it’s so lame, “Did it hurt? When you fell from heaven?” I would answer them, “Lucifer fell from heaven too” jokingly.

Hello! Thanks for having me. It’s my pleasure. 😀 I am from the tropical country Malaysia. I work full time as a Business Development Exec. and I’m also a blogger.

When did you start blogging and what inspired you to do so?

I started my blog two years ago. I was inspired to start blogging because I love sharing my thoughts and experiences to benefit others.

How will you describe your fashion style?

I am pretty much everything. I love dresses, crop tops, hot pants, sports wear and skinny jeans. Lately, I am crazy over monochrome though.

Where do you usually shop from?

Online, boutiques, H&M, Niichi, Kitschen and anywhere that have awesome sales bargain. I don’t go for the brand but style.

How much of a foodie are you?

I am a huge foodie. My mom is such a great cook and my taste buds were spoiled by her. So picky I would rather starve myself if the food falls below my expectation. Hahaha….

What is your beauty regime like to looking so amazing?

Well, I mask pretty often. Beside masking, I also go through the basic skincare regime like cleanse, tone, serum, moisturise and sunblock.

If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be and why?

Martial arts! It is utmost important to learn it for self defense and it is a good sports too, plus you could sweat buckets.

Which is the funniest attempt a guy has tried to know you and did it work?

During my teenager years, I worked part time as a cashier in a grocery store. And there’s this boy who would come over everyday just to buy something. Then one fine day, he wrote me a note asking me out. Hahaha…..

Canadian Blogger Caelia Love

Hi Caelia, it’s a great pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Well to start off thanks for having me. I’m currently a student at Ryerson University, studying graphics. I was born in Hong Kong but been living in Canada for the past 20 years. I am a huge huge huge dog person, and have a borderline obsession with them.

How will you describe your overall style?

I live by the rule “less is more”. So my overall style is simple and dull. Majority of my wardrobe consists of black, white, grey shades, occasionally nudes/beige (and blue, if you count jeans). I’m not a very colorful person, nor do I really like colors.

Name 3 fun facts about yourself!

Ever since I can remember I actually had an animal phobia. But on my 10th birthday my childhood best friend brought me a hamster. I named her Amy. From then on I overcame my animal phobia. And later on (12 years ago) my dad brought my mom a dog for her birthday, ever since then I’ve become an dog lover. One of my retirement goal is to actually operate my own dog shelter.

I’m a night owl, I don’t usually go to sleep until the early a.m.. So I spend a lot of my late nights watching horror movies. I have basically seen all the recently made (90s-now) horror movies and some of the old classics.

One of the things on my bucket list is to visit all the Disney parks around the world. There are so far 6 parks (the 7th one is being built in Shanghai) and I have visited 4, so I’m more than half way there. My next Disney destination I’m hoping to travel to is Disneyland Paris.

Do you have any hobbies?

I wouldn’t consider these activities as my hobbies but I do enjoy cooking and occasionally I would take on sewing projects.

What types of food do you like and how much of a foodie are you?

I love Mexican and Indian food or anything that’s spicy. I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to food, I love to try new things but I never go out of my way to try the new restaurant in town or anything. I don’t really dedicate my time to take extraordinary/professional food pictures, so I wouldn’t consider myself as a major foodie.

Which is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you that is funny to look back on now?

This is, still extremely embarrassing, I have never told anyone this. But when I was a little girl, my family and I was driving home from dinner. We were on the highway and I really had to use the washroom but my dad couldn’t stop in the middle of the highway… so I peed in a garbage bag.

What do you find most attractive in a guy?

A guy with ambition, goals and knows how to be a gentleman/treat that ONE girl right.

If you could time travel to the past or future, which will you choose?

If I could I would definitely travel to the future. I would prefer to know what my future has to hold for me and have the opportunity to change my “destiny”.
