What You Should Know About Lingerie

There’s nothing I feel sexier in! It’s something that can feel deeply personal. I work part time in a library, so I have to present myself a certain way; modest and professional. While I’m not constricted by a uniform, there’s definitely limited options as to what I can wear. What’s underneath my clothes is a whole different story! I can wear whatever I want and it’s my little secret. It makes me feel so sensual and naughty to know that I am wearing the most provocative lingerie underneath my ‘professional’ demeanor. There are so many possibilities when it comes to lingerie that you’re guaranteed to find something that you’ll love. There’s just so much freedom of expression, it gives you a chance to explore a whole other side of yourself.

My Favorite Lingerie

I have a fairly extensive collection, but what matters to me are those ‘signature pieces’. I have around 3 or 4 sets that are my go-to and lots that depend on how I’m feeling. My personal favourite is a simple black lace bra and panties set with a garter belt. Stockings are one of the best parts of lingerie, in my opinion, and using a garter belt instead of hold-ups makes me feel amazing. Garter belts are a little fiddly to get used to but they’re well worth the effort! There’s something so elegant about them, I just can’t resist. My taste varies day to day, so I like to keep lots of different colours and styles at hand!

Different Lingerie For Different Occasions?

Definitely! If I’m wearing them under clothes, I tend to go for things that won’t be obvious to someone looking at you. For example, if I’m wearing a tight blouse, I find a bra that doesn’t have too much detail so it doesn’t show through the fabric of my shirt. Same goes for panties if I’m wearing a tight skirt.

It all depends on my mood. If I’m feeling powerful and dominant, I choose bold reds and blacks, usually all in lace! But if I’m feeling more demure or want to tease someone, I’ll usually go for whites and light pinks, or maybe something in satin. Lingerie really does give you a wonderful opportunity to wear something that completely reflects who you are or what you’re feeling. For parties or social events, I love to wear something erotic. It gives me that extra bit of confidence. I once wore crotchless panties to a housewarming party!  Sometimes, when I’m at my day job, I’ll wear a little white lacey thong with a matching bra. Just the thought of someone potentially finding out what I’m wearing under my clothes gives me a huge thrill.

Lingerie Buying Tips

The best tip I could give you is to make sure it fits! A lot of people wear the incorrect size bra or panties and it has a huge impact, on both your appearance and your confidence. I can almost always tell if someone is wearing the wrong size, it does not sit as well as it should on your body. For a while I thought a certain style just didn’t suit my body type, but I went a size bigger and it looked 100% better. If you’re wearing the wrong size of anything, whether it’s bra, panties, or garter belt, it probably won’t be comfortable.

Feeling comfortable in what you’re wearing immediately makes you feel better in your body. When you feel confident, you’ll feel (and look!) sexier! It makes the occasion you’re wearing it for so much more enjoyable. In terms of style, if you don’t like something, that’s okay! There are hundreds of styles out there, you just need to keep trying them on until you find one you like. It’s practically impossible to look or feel good in all types of lingerie, so keep at it! In my experience, if you aren’t happy in it, men can usually tell. For both people to enjoy lingerie, you need to be secure in the fact that you look amazing!

What Men Should Know Before Buying Lingerie

Again, the biggest issue is to make sure the sizing is correct! It’s heartbreaking to find a gorgeous set of lingerie only to find out it doesn’t fit! When buying as a gift, I think it’s important to keep in mind the personality/character of who you’re buying it for. For example, someone fairly new or cautious about ‘dressing up’ in lingerie probably won’t want to go straight for crotchless panties! Try something simpler, like introducing a garter belt and stockings. If you’re ever in doubt about it, ask a few subtle questions about what they like or dislike. What’s their favourite colour? What kind of underwear do they normally buy? Do they like to play innocent or do they have a naughty side? Or maybe they’ve got a secret desire to roleplay! If you take the time to think about what they’ll like the most, the more fun you’ll have when you go to take them off!
