    What inspires your fashion style and where do you love to shop from?

    I always believed that “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak”, therefore, I love exploring all kinds of different fashion trends and styles, and draw inspirations from them. I am very open when selecting brands as I focus more on the quality of the product instead of the name.

    How long have you been a blogger and what made you start?

    I always loved travelling and fashion, and that’s how I got started to share my styles on Instagram! I have been sharing my experiences on social media since eight years ago.

    Which 3 things do you enjoy doing most in the city you live in?

    Food always comes first! 😉 There are so many great restaurants and cafes in Toronto that are still on my bucket list for tasting! Another one would be shopping! As a natural habit, I cannot wait to fill my closet with some new styles when the shop doors are open! Last but not least, I love exploring local entertainment venues with my friends. You cannot believe how many hidden gems are in Toronto for Laser Tag, Karaoke, Escape Room and etc.!

    What type of content do you usually create for your follows?

    Currently my content is focused on fashion and lifestyle, I am hoping to create more travel related content once the pandemic ends.

    What is one lifestyle or beauty tip every lady must know?

    Put on sunscreen all the time!

    Would you rather have super sensitive taste or super sensitive hearing?

    Super sensitive taste! I never say no to food. 🙂

    What is a funny or weird attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    Tried to ask me questions in five different languages when I pretended that I don’t understand any.

    How is your fashion style like and where do you usually shop from?

    I actually love wearing dresses and my fashion icon is Audrey Hepburn but I really don’t have a specific fashion style. For me, fashion is all about being comfortable and fab at the same time. I can wear anything as long as I am comfortable and feel secured wearing it.  I can be chic today, then rugged the next day.

    I usually buy my clothes in stores and online, no particular brand however, I certainly am after quality. But honestly, I prefer to shop in stores cause clothes are made from different materials hence sizing may differ.

    Do you have any hobbies or interests?

    I love baking. Whenever I feel down or stressing about something, I just bake and I’ll be able to forget all my worries. Baking helps with my mental health a lot.

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?

    I think I am a 20. LOL. I love eating and every time we travel, I always search for good restaurants; it doesn’t matter if the restaurant is located in a 5 star hotel or just in the middle of nowhere. Most of the time, great restaurants are found in the most unexpected place like laneways or alleyways.

    Is there a city or country you’ve always like to travel to for a holiday?

    I always wanted to travel to Europe, actually pre-pandemic, my husband and I have been talking about travelling to Europe. It’s in our bucket list. We love to see all the remarkable landmarks there, the Eiffel tower is at the top of our list.

    Would you rather be able to control fire or water?

    Maybe water. Because fire can easily destroy everything, but with water or floods, you can easily recover from it. Plus water can put out a fire while fire can only change the form of the water but it can never destroy it.

    If you could time travel, what will you like to witness or experience?

    If I could time travel, I will definitely go back to pre-pandemic time. I will spend more quality time with my family and friends. As the pandemic makes the present and the future so uncertain, we don’t know what’s gonna happen next and when we can travel, and be with our loved ones again.

    With everything that is going on around the world, we should really value time. Time is precious that we, most of the time, take for granted. Time is truly valuable than any material things because we can never get back time.

    What is an ideal date to you?

    Aside from having a delicious meal, an ideal date for me is doing what we both love and most especially having a good conversation. For me, communication is very important to every relationship and it’s one of the keys to keeping a healthy relationship.

    Thank you for having me. It is indeed a pleasure to be interviewed by you. I’m Shaine Cabrito, a social media influencer based in Manila, Philippines. I am an outgoing person who loves to spend time exploring what the Philippines and the rest of the world has to offer.

    What is your fashion style like and where do you love to shop from?

    My favorite fashion/go-to style would be wearing baggy pants with a pair of white sneakers. I love how versatile this combo is, you can easily pair it with either plain tops, etc. On the other hand, I buy most of my clothes at Zara because of its unique style and quality.

    Do you have any hobbies and interests?

    I am currently learning on how to play the piano. On the other hand, as mentioned above, I love to travel around the world. My favorite country so far is Japan <3.

    To be honest, I already miss traveling. I miss the feeling of wandering around the streets of an unknown country and exploring its culture. Hope this pandemic gets better already.

    Which 3 things do you enjoy doing most in the city you live in?

    Trying out different restaurants, coffee shops and going to art museums.

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a risk taker are you?

    6.

    If you could meet anyone past or present, who will it be?

    I would love to meet my past self (at around the age of 18-20 years old) and give her advice on how to handle adulthood.

    Super sensitive taste.

    What do you not get about guys?

    Cheating!! Like I don’t even understand the point of talking/hitting on other girls even though they already have a wife/girlfriend/fiancé. If they have problems with their partner, they should talk it out and fix it.

    I feel that fashion and beauty are one of the many ways to express yourself as an individual. There’s so many ways to show your personality, interests and who you are as a person. You can experiment with what clothes you want to wear and how to put outfits together. The same goes for beauty, you can create so many different unique looks.

    Fashion Style & Inspiration

    Looking back at old photos I’d say that my fashion style is always changing. I like to shop at high street brands such as Boohoo, Missguided, Asos etc. Instagram and other social media sites help spark new inspiration, for example, I’d like a piece of clothing from one outfit and maybe like a pair of shoes on another outfit and put them together.

    I even find myself looking at adverts or magazines for inspiration too. I always like to push myself out of my comfort zone and try new looks as I can sometimes pick quite ‘basic’ pieces of clothing.

    3 Fashion Accessories Every Lady Should Own

    Definitely a big statement belt with baggy shirts and dresses for oversized looks. A black bag is a must, it can be quite basic but it matches pretty much everything. I think any silver or gold jewelry is a must have, they’re so easy to style.

    My Beauty Regime

    Everyone has one skin so take care of it! I always make sure I’m looking after my skin as much as I can. Every morning I tone and moisturise. At night I use toner, serum, moisturiser and serum (don’t use too much product). And don’t forget to double cleanse!

    3 Basic Beauty Tips To Follow

    – Coconut oil has done wanders for my lashes and brows

    – Exfoliate at least twice a week

    – Drink your water, not only is it good for your skin, it hydrates you inside and out

    Fashion & Beauty Tips To Takeaway

    Always make sure you have the correct cleanser for your skin type even if it takes a while to find the right one. Wear clothes that compliment your body type and mix and match different colours/patterns. Most importantly, feel confident in your own skin.

    How is your fashion style like and where do you draw inspiration from?

    As for my fashion style, I would say that it’s a “Mix and Match”. I always try to keep up with the trends, I sometime draw inspiration from other influencers, celebrities or other model friends that I know of. I also love to keep it simple, decent yet at the same time, classy and sexy. 

    Do you follow a beauty regime to look so beautiful?

    There’s no specific beauty regime that I actually follow. I just make sure that I have proper hygiene. I clean my face, I eat healthy food, drink collagen and lots of vitamin C. I also keep my face moisturized and protected by a sunscreen whenever I go out. I only wear make up if I have to (I use hypoallergenic cosmetics because of my sensitive skin), then I remove my make up right after my day ends 🙂

    Which is the best compliment you have received?

    Best compliment, most of the time is whenever my friends tell me that I look younger than my age. When some people are telling me that I’m very talented, that I’m not only “looks” but I also have brains.

    What are 3 fun things you like to do in the city you live in?

    Since I’m a newbie in this place as I just transferred here a few months ago, due to the pandemic it became limited for me to maximize my activities here.

    But I would say that it became a habit for me to go out, buy some food and shop for some groceries.

    I love to hang out with my best friend who lives near me, meet some new neighbors, and have a little chat with them. And if there’s ample time we go out, for some pampering and a ladies day out.

    The last thing that I love here is that I can relax and stay at home. I can paint, make some poems overlooking in my terrace seeing trees. I just love the “nature vibes” in this place, and I can have my “me-time” peacefully.

    Which are your favorite quotes or mottos you like to use for inspiration?

    I have lots of favorite quotes in life, but my most favorite of all is that “You don’t have to be good to start. You just need to start.” I’ve been through a lot of challenges and admittedly, I failed at lots of them. But I always keep in mind that if I want to achieve something, I’ll never know the result unless I’ll try doing it. I’ll just take the risk and start…even if I’m not actually good at it.

    Would you rather have the power to control minds or teleport?

    As a flight attendant, I love travelling. I would do anything just to visit the places that I haven’t been to. If I’ll have the power to teleport, I can definitely do that for sure without breaking my own bank account and wallet haha. If I could just go there in a snap, I’ll bring my love ones with me, take some pictures wearing my new OOTDs, eat their delicacies and learn their culture. I would love to do that everyday. 

    What do you not get about guys?

    What I do not get about guys is their pride and ego. I mean, not all of them are full of pride and ego. I admit that I had my own share of pride when I was in a relationship. It’s just that as per experience, we always end up in an argument because of them not admitting their own mistakes. They don’t share their true feelings because they feel like it’ll show weakness for them as a ‘man’ (and its definitely not a definition of a man). 

    For me it’ll be a lot easier to understand them if they can also be open about their thoughts and be more compassionate to fix an issue.

    For me, being sexy is just being you. Be natural. I mean by loving yourself, being happy about who or what u are. Be “confident”, for me that’s very sexy. Regardless of your size, vital statistics, your complexion or flaws. The person’s aura or glow for me is more appealing than their own physique.

    How is your fashion style like and where do you draw inspiration from?

    I just follow the trends that I see from Instagram. I also love mixing and matching everything that I have in my closet. I love timeless pieces that I can use at any time of the year. 

    Do you follow a beauty regime to look so beautiful?

    Right now, confidence is all I have, since I’m struggling with finding the right skin care products for my skin. I do have breakouts. But it’s actually not a big deal. I think that our imperfections makes us beautiful, you just have to embrace it and that natural glow follows.

    Which is the best compliment you have received?

    The best compliment that I received so far was from my mother, I’m flattered that she said I look beautiful with no make up on.

    What are 3 fun things you recommend to tourists to do when visiting your city?

    Since Davao City is known as the “Fruit Basket of The Philippines”, Magsaysay Park is one of the best places to visit. You can eat different varieties of durian, and you can also experience the culture of the 11 indigenous tribes that belongs to Davao since they showcase their villages there, same with People’s Park.

    You can also enjoy wildlife at Davao Crocodile Park and at the Philippine Eagle Centre. For slow days where you want to appreciate God’s beautiful creation, you can visit Eden Nature Park and Resort.

    Which are your favorite quotes or mottos you like to use for inspiration?

    I hold on to the quote, ”Your time will come.”

    I believe that everyone has their own time to shine, to become successful, to meet the perfect someone, and to peak at life. I had a lot of ups and downs, and I draw motivation from this quote whenever I’m feeling tired or when I have doubts in life. But we all have to be patient, never rush things, must keep moving forward and enjoy life! 

    Would you rather have the power to control minds or teleport?

    I would love to control minds and change how other people think. There’s a lot of negativity in the world already and we should not release bad energy to others, so I’d like for everyone to keep a happy mind. 

    What do you not get about guys?

    In my generation, I could say that guys are a little too complicated to understand. I actually have observed that they tend to be a little irrational and they prioritize things that doesn’t really matter. I think they should focus on making themselves better, be mature and give value to people that truly cares for them.

    Do you have any hobbies or interests?

    My hobbies changes from time to time, now I’m more interested on watching K-dramas plus lately I’ve been really fan-girling to the max over a K-pop boy group named Astro! Yes check them out. Haha! 

    Which food or cuisine do you love most?

    I’ve tried different cuisines but in the end I would still pick Filipino cuisine. Nothing beats Sinigang, Kare Kare and our fresh seafood recipes here in the Philippines! 

    If you could time travel, where will you like to go and witness?

    It’s a bit personal but If I could, I will go way back when my dad was still alive to witness and appreciate more of his love for our family and also his hard work.  

    What 3 things do you enjoy doing most in the city you live in?

    First, I LOVE eating at small restaurants around here. Second, hanging out with my friends because we all live near each other here (of course we can’t hang out too often these days because of COVID) and the third one would probably be visiting the nearby malls to shop for food or other stuff. 

    Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?

    I would rather fly so I could go to different places that I want to go quickly and to appreciate the nature’s beauty up above.  

    What do you not get about the opposite sex?

    I’m not sure if this is the answer to this question. But what I don’t get about the opposite sex is why do they have to be so obsessed with their ego? I’m not generalizing though, but most of them I think strongly value it and sometimes it becomes a big conflict on relationships/friendships.

    And lastly, why do some men think that when a woman glams up, it’s about trying to impress them, which is clearly FALSE. We glam up for ourselves only. Sorry boys.

    I’m currently a fitness entrepreneur,  social media influencer and trainer. I used to live in Toronto but now I live in Vancouver, BC. I’m really passionate about sharing my ideas of self care and self love, while also promoting balance.

    When did your interest in fitness start?

    My fitness journey started when I was working at a software sales company around two years ago. I was stressed at work constantly and needed an outlet and also a challenge for myself outside of work. I started doing a popular program called Bikini Body Guide and that’s how it all began. After a while, the program wasn’t something that I loved consistently so I turned to weight lifting. I did bodybuilding to build muscle and started consistently going to the gym 5-6 days a week.

    What is your workout regime like?

    Currently, I’m building more muscle for a future bikini competition show to come later in 2018 or early 2019 so my workout regimen is a bit intense. I workout about 5-6 days a week for at least one hour a day and I focus on 1-2 body parts for each session.

    Is there any food or drink you can’t live without?

    There are certain things I won’t sacrifice in life and that’s a good slice of pizza and a glass of red wine.

    Are there any misconceptions you usually hear about fitness?

    Counting calories, doing a specific diet, or tracking macros is not the only way you can get fit. There are so many people who go and do one of those things to make themselves “fit” but there are other ways to achieve this which is eating nutrient dense foods. Eating well. Being consistent.

    Also another one that’s probably my favorite, “Squats are the best exercise for your glutes”. You can refer to Bret Contreras (the glute god) for extensive research on this but there are so many exercises that will activate the glutes more than just squats. Every body is shaped differently and is activated differently. One singular exercise won’t maximize the size of your glutes – you probably want to try doing a variety of exercises that will target all angles of your glute muscles like hip thrusts, back extensions, glute bridges, deadlifts, etc.

    If you can have a superpower, what will it be?

    To eat everything I want and not have any repercussions. Just kidding, although that would be pretty sweet. I would love to be able to shapeshift. Human, object, or animal. I’d love to feel what it would be like to be Cardi B, Gigi Hadid, or Conor McGregor for a day.

    Have you ever been in a funny or embarrassing situation before?

    It was my friend’s birthday and as we were all getting out of the car to enter the restaurant,  I tripped in my heels and fell right in front of our restaurant……. It was mortifying.

    What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you? 

    I was commuting back home and I was wearing a pink cardigan at the time. This guy saw me from across the train, walked over, sat beside me, and said, “hey I love your pink sweater” and introduced himself. That’s fine, you like pink. But he kept mentioning how he loved my pink cardigan and he could rock pink too during our conversation. He asked for my number and mentioned the pink again….

    I think it’s extremely sexy when a person is confident, intelligent, and the ability to fully love yourself for who you are. Sexy to me goes beyond aesthetics and if you’re comfortable with yourself, that translates to how you speak, feel, and express who you are.

    Probably me tripping everywhere! I am the worst in heels haha.

    Do you have any guilty indulgences for food?

    Lately I have been really into Mac N Cheese. Classic, truffle, lobster, you name it!

    If you could time travel, what will you like to experience or witness?

    If I could time travel in the past, I’d like to see myself growing up. There are some things I would love to remember again. Or go back and experience Rock N’ Roll in the 80’s haha!     What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    Either showing off too much (materialistic wise) or overdoing it by calling me sexy, beautiful, baby honey bunny…I’m nobody’s honey bunny.

    Sexy to me is being comfortable with yourself and showing it with not a care in the world. Letting yourself go with self-love. Embracing who you are is the most important component.
