A good date can look like many things. It’s not so much what you do on the date that matters, though that helps, it’s how the date is conducted that matters most. A simple meal in a restaurant works well as it allows conversation. In turn, a good date needs good company. Good company is subjective, that is up to the individual. Succinctly, a good date allows conversation and includes good company.

Do First Impressions Matter

Objectively I think it always matters. However I am the kind of person to see past first impressions, that’s important too, you never know how some will be with a little time.

Ideally, great style and a friendly smile will be the first impression though.

Guy or girl, either is the same. I expect manners, empathy, kindness and the ability both to keep up conversation and listen when I’m speaking.

Common Mistakes Men Make On Dates

Yes! Not caring what they wear, not keeping the balance between expecting the woman to make all the decisions and consulting her on her desires. For example, I don’t enjoy having to choose the activity every time, the restaurant, the location and the time. It needs to be a negotiation.

Men on dates often express strong opinions over conversation, discussion is great but overriding conversation with your opinions is not. Lastly, most men seem to have the expectation of sex, even on first dates. Why? It’s not your right to have sex it’s a privilege that goes both ways.

Awkward Date Experiences

So very many! I’d say 90% of them are good but a good 30% of them are terrible.
