  • The Importance of Sex Education for Kids

The Importance of Sex Education for Kids

Parents around the world worry about their kids, and those in Australia are no different. Ensuring that their offspring is safe and well and in a secure environment features highly for those responsible, as well as trying to get their kids into schools that offer the best facilities and standards so that they have the best chance of growing into confident and knowledgeable young adults.

While mums and dads play their own part in teaching about the outside world so that it provides additions to schooling, there are certain subjects that should be left to those who are professionally trained to deliver things in the right way. The highest quality sex education is invaluable, rather than letting youngsters trying to piece things together and believing myths which can be harmful and lead to issues.

Like any education it will ensure that children think about what they are being taught and to make the right decisions in the years that follow. The first thing to make clear, which can often worry parents, is that rather than encouraging children to have more sex, knowing the details and being informed of the dangers responsibly is more likely to limit them and to wait longer. Coming from experienced and respected adults allows their teachings to be different from sounding like a cool thing to do when kids listen to rumours and ill-informed tales from their peers.

Studies show that there is a reduction in sex among those who are taught and that they have fewer partners, which also assists with their mental well-being. They also understand the importance of contraception, particularly the wearing of condoms, which leads to fewer unwanted pregnancies and a decrease in the likelihood of sexual diseases being passed on in later life. Some might enjoy the use of vibrators as an alternative to a partner as they reach adulthood.

Those educated correctly will understand the importance of respect when with a partner, which sees fewer cases of non-volitional sex cutting down on sexual assault and putting partners in difficult and uncomfortable situations. Youngsters will also learn that sex around alcohol or drugs is also not a good idea, as judgment can be affected at such times. Children in the modern world face so many challenges and are asked to grow up far quicker by society. It is vital that they are armed with the best information to make the right choices and not carry out actions that can affect the rest of their lives.

Understanding how babies are born and exactly what a mother goes through is also likely to deter rash actions, as are ways that may be offered for anyone feeling under pressure to deal with a situation. More schools put a high importance of the subject with more teachers being trained properly to administer the education which leads to increased sexual wellness.

Sex education delivered by understanding professionals offers the best chance for youngsters learning, respecting and understanding their bodies and the issues that can arise when acting irresponsibly.

  • Inspirational and Influential Go-Getter Aiko Kitane

Inspirational and Influential Go-Getter Aiko Kitane

In my city (Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Central Visayas, Philippines), I have always been known as the “expressive one,” never shy to voice my opinions on societal and relevant issues. However, as I have grown older, I have come to understand the importance of choosing my battles. While I remain strongly opinionated, I have learned to discern which topics truly require an amplified voice. It is a delicate balance, for there is a fine line between nonchalance and apathy, and being engaged in matters that demand public scrutiny.

My journey took an unexpected turn when I was crowned Miss Silliman in 2016, thrusting me into the spotlight. Miss Silliman is the most prestigious and longest running pageant in Asia. This newfound exposure allowed me to make a significant impact in various areas, particularly in business, education, and socio-civic contributions. In 2020, I was honored to be featured in Lihok NegOr for the province’s Women’s Month Celebration, showcasing my exemplary commitment to these fields. As a result, I became one of the most recognized personalities in Dumaguete City, boasting a considerable following on Instagram.

Today, my life has expanded to include the exhilarating world of freediving. This passion has provided me with incredible opportunities, such as being featured in esteemed publications like Inquirer and CDN Digital. Through my photos and visual storytelling, I strive to capture the enchanting beauty of freediving and the stunning beaches of the Philippines. It is a journey that is not only personally fulfilling but also allows me to share the natural wonders of our country with a broader audience.

What is your proudest achievement so far?

For a significant portion of my life, I held the belief that my proudest achievement would involve climbing the corporate ladder, achieving success in the world of big business. I was fortunate to be a part of San Miguel Corporation’s renowned brewery division, the largest beer company in the Philippines, and later, with Unilever, a global powerhouse in fast-moving consumer goods. These experiences were valuable, and they taught me much about the corporate world.

Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle of corporate life, I stumbled upon a realization that could forever change my path. I discovered that my heart truly beats to the rhythm of an entrepreneur, and my soul longed for the freedom to create – without the feeling of potential limitations. My proudest achievement thus far was mustering the courage to take a leap of faith into the realm of entrepreneurship, a move that terrifies many – one that would test the courage of even the most daring. I made the decision to follow my creative vision and go full-time as a Resin Artisan to my small business, Aikonic Crafts.

Aikonic Crafts, a name derived from my own name, ‘Aiko,’ blended with ‘Iconic,’ represents not just a business but a legacy of artistic transformation. As one of the pioneering resin artisans in my province, I embarked on this journey in 2020 and found immense joy in touching and transforming lives through my artistic endeavors. My journey became a testament to the power of turning memories into masterpieces. Through commissioned projects, I have had the privilege of helping my clients immortalize their most cherished moments. I have preserved wedding bouquets, transformed umbilical cords, human ashes, animal fur, and even teeth into exquisite pieces that can be held close to the heart for generations to come. Each piece I create carries not only my passion but also the essence of the stories behind them. Aikonic Crafts has become more than just a business; it is a vessel for emotion, connection, and artistry.

While I continue to explore new business ventures that I can offer to the City of Gentle People, one thing remains constant – my love for art. It is the fire that burns within, a guiding light through the intricacies of business and the uncertainties of entrepreneurship. It is a testament to the idea that sometimes, our proudest achievements often hide in the shadows of our comfort zone, and it emerges when we embrace change, follow our heart and pursue our true calling.

Where do you get your fashion inspiration from?

I do not necessarily have a fashion icon, but I draw my fashion inspiration from a daring sense of self-expression. I prioritize comfort in my style choices, understanding that what is comfortable varies from person to person. While I aim to dress appropriately, I believe that clothing should be a means to express one’s individuality.

Do you have any favorite quotes or mottos you like to use in life?

1.“When we pray for a rain of blessings, we have to deal with the mud.”

This saying reminds me that achieving my dreams and receiving blessings often involves overcoming challenges and facing difficult situations. Just like how rain brings nourishment to the earth but also creates mud, our path to success may be messy and require us to navigate through obstacles. It emphasizes the idea that we should be willing to embrace the difficulties on our journey to reach our goals, but we must also be cautious in assessing if the soil and environment where we are planted are healthy, so we can bloom to our fullest potential.

    2. If it is not a f*ck “yes,” then it is a “no.”

This saying is a powerful reminder to prioritize what truly excites and fulfills us. It encourages us to make choices that align with our passions, values, and desires. When faced with a decision, if we do not feel a resounding, enthusiastic “yes,” then it suggests that we should reconsider and perhaps say “no.” By following this principle, we can avoid settling for less and focus on what truly matters to us.

Which 3 things do you recommend to every visitor to experience when visiting the place you live in?

Dumaguete City, often referred to as the City of Gentle People, is a captivating destination filled with rich history, vibrant culture, and natural beauty. For every visitor, I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing these three essential aspects of this charming place.

Indulge in Sans Rival’s Silvanas: Your visit to Dumaguete would be incomplete without savoring the delectable silvanas at Sans Rival. These heavenly treats were born here, and tasting the original recipe is a must. The melt-in-your-mouth goodness will leave you craving for more.

Explore Valencia’s Sunday Market: On a Sunday morning, make your way to Valencia’s bustling Sunday Market, which runs from 6 am to 12 noon. This market is a culinary treasure trove, offering a wide array of delicious and affordable food from various local businesses. Sip on aromatic coffee and sample a diverse range of dishes while immersing yourself in the local flavors.

Apo Island’s Giant Turtles: Nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers should not miss the opportunity to visit Apo Island. Book a group tour through Mabuhay Dumaguete and embark on a short 45-minute boat ride to reach this pristine island. Here, you can swim with the majestic giant turtles in their natural habitat, creating unforgettable memories. Do not forget to try Mabuhay Dumaguete’s mouthwatering kimchi rice and Korean Fried Chicken!

Bonus: While in the vicinity, consider a stay or walk-in at Atmosphere Resorts & Spa, the largest resort in the province, just minutes away from Mabuhay Dumaguete. This exquisite retreat promises an Instagram-worthy experience that complements the city’s charm.

Dumaguete City is a place where history, culture, and nature come together to offer a memorable and enriching journey. Enjoy your time in this gem of the Philippines!

Would you rather have the ability to be invisible or teleport?

I would opt for teleportation without a doubt. My love for travel, particularly exploring the enchanting islands and pristine beaches of the Philippines, is a significant part of my life. Being invisible might allow me to observe in secrecy, but I would rather teleport to these stunning destinations and share the beauty of our world with others. While my social media presence only offers a glimpse of who I am, it has allowed me to connect with people from around the globe, fostering a real sense of connection and shared experiences. Teleportation would let me continue this journey of exploration and connection on a more profound level.

How do you like to spend your free time?

In a world where free time is a precious commodity, I choose to embrace every moment with a passion for life. I find my solace in the depths of the ocean, where I practice the art of freediving, exploring the boundless beauty beneath the waves. But my quest for knowledge does not stop there. I am a curious soul, drawn to the intricate tapestry of societal issues that shape our world. I devour articles and research, seeking to understand and empathize. And when I am not immersed in the deep blue or unraveling the complexities of our world, I am expanding my horizons. I dedicate myself to continuous self-improvement, learning new skills through the wealth of free online tutorials. Each day is an opportunity to grow, to adapt, and to become a better version of myself. For me, free time is not about idleness; it is a canvas waiting to be painted with experiences, knowledge, and accomplishments. I live with an unquenchable desire to engage, to explore, and to create.

If you could time travel, what will you like to witness or experience?

I have always been the kind of person who overthinks, overprepares, and overanalyzes. I have often found myself fixated on the uncertain future, allowing anxiety to cloud my present moments. But as I have grown older, I have come to realize that life is a beautiful combination of the past, the present, and the future, and each thread contributes to the masterpiece of our existence. But if given the power to traverse time, I would choose to revisit my past, not to erase my mistakes, for they are the brushstrokes that have painted the canvas of my being. Instead, I would journey back to enhance and refine the chapters of my life, to ensure that the symphony of my experiences plays a more harmonious tune.

There were moments in my past where opportunities gleamed like uncut diamonds, but I, in my youthful ignorance, let them slip through my fingers like grains of sand. Regrets have lingered, but I have learned that even in the face of missed chances, the present holds the power to redefine our trajectory.

This is why I have been labeled “unstoppable,” yet I have often found myself at crossroads where I believed I had come to a halt. I have indeed stopped many times, but it is within these pauses, within the moments of reflection and reinvention, that I have discovered my true strength. I am not the same person who started this journey, and I am grateful for that. Each pause, each reawakening, has made me a bit more determined and a tad less vulnerable.

So, if I could traverse the corridors of time, I would embrace the stopping points as opportunities for growth, resilience, and transformation. Life is a journey, and I have come to understand that it is not about erasing our past, but rather, it is about rewriting our future with the wisdom we have gathered along the way.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Aiko. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

“Sexy,” to me, is a deeply personal and subjective concept. It transcends the superficial and societal standards, finding its essence in the individual’s perception. It is not a label I apply to someone else; it is a feeling they own within themselves.

True sexiness is a combination of daring, comfort, and confidence. It is the audacity to be authentically you, unapologetically and fearlessly. It is not about conforming to external ideals but celebrating your uniqueness. Embracing your roots, whatever they may be, is a crucial part of this journey. It is about acknowledging and honoring your cultural, personal, and familial heritage, while still forging your own path.

Ultimately, “sexy” is an intimate knowledge of who you are. It is a self-assuredness that radiates from within, drawing others toward your magnetic authenticity. It is about understanding your worth, cherishing your individuality, and reveling in the powerful allure of self-acceptance. In this way, “sexy” becomes a state of being that is not defined by anyone else but is a reflection of your own self-love – in knowing who you are beyond how others perceive you to be.

  • What It’s Like To Be An Adult Voice Actress

What It’s Like To Be An Adult Voice Actress

I feel like we’ve never lived in a better time to engage in sex work, and I’m thankful for the diverse set of opportunities sex workers have available today!

I have never had any moral issues with sex work. It’s a biological need, and whether we like to admit it or not, sex is a big part of all our lives.

Today, there is less stigma and shame regarding sex work. Women are able to enter into it because they actually want to, and I think that’s wonderful!

What Inspired Me Into Sex Work

It started mostly as a hobby for me. I was looking for ways to explore my own sexuality further, and connect with others.

Like many other women I know, I started sex work when the pandemic hit, and we were all under quarantine. Online sex work was something I could do from home that could not only make a little bit of extra money, but help me connect with people at a time when we were lonelier and more isolated than ever.

Why I Chose To Be An Adult Voice Actress

Like I mentioned earlier, I am so thankful that sex workers have so many more options available today!

I started first as a phone sex operator, and although I’ll admit that the idea of making money doing something I loved – talking about sex, sexual roleplay etc, was exciting, I also felt I needed something like phone sex at the time. I had just moved to a new city and quarantine was in full effect. Being able to talk to other people was very fulfilling on an emotional level, and luckily for me, it was a great time to get into phone sex since so many other people were feeling lonely as well. Some of my earliest callers have become genuine friends I still talk to all these years later.

The voice work came shortly after. Most phone sex sites allow you to sell prerecorded audio clips. While I first saw this as an additional opportunity to make money, it very quickly became a hobby I grew quite passionate about!

I had always dreamed about becoming a voice actress, and erotic audio has a HUGE community behind it that most people don’t know about. Audio is special because you aren’t bound by the same constraints you would be with a visual production. This allows actresses and script writers to really push the boundaries of what would be possible with normal pornography.

In audio porn, there is also much more emphasis on the story and buildup of the scene. This makes the acting play a much more important part! I’ve played everything from college cheerleaders, to demon succubi, to alien princesses on other planets – who wouldn’t have fun getting to act out so many different roles?

Challenges I Faced When I Started Out

My biggest challenge was definitely being unaware of just how diverse people’s sexual tastes are!

On the phone, people were throwing fetishes and kinks at me that I’d never even heard of. As a phone sex operator, you have to be quick to improvise and engage with whatever the other person throws at you, which was really challenging at first!

I spent a lot of time early on studying fetishes, the same way you would study anything else at a college class. What was appealing about the fetish? What words and terms did people use to describe it? What were the most popular fantasies surrounding the fetish? If they were into one thing, what other fetishes were they likely to indulge in?

It sounds silly, but actually studying them like this really helped a lot! Plus, when I started doing audio, it allowed me to create characters that felt far more authentic.

How A Typical Adult Voice Session Is Like

I have systematized the process to make it go as quickly and smoothly as possible.

In my home studio, everything is set up so I can get to recording in just a few minutes. Typically, I record a month’s worth of audio over the course of 2-3 days, which comes out to about 30 audios.

It starts with organizing the scripts I have selected to record this month. These will either typically come from script writers who have posted them online for any voice actress to record, or will be scripts that people have commissioned me to record. Sometimes, I will write scripts myself as well, or pay other writers to write them.

The recording process itself is typically pretty smooth – I sit down, I act out the script, and move immediately onto the next one, as long as my voice can handle it!

After I’ve organized and recorded the scripts, I will make a list of all the sound effects and ambiences I need to create the audios. These can often be found online – I’ve paid for licenses to many audio libraries, but I also record a lot of the sound effects myself.

Editing is actually the hardest part when it comes to audio production, and it’s the longest part of the process by far. Not only is there the actual sound design, mixing of the different background tracks etc, but there’s a lot that goes into making everything sound as natural and realistic as possible.

Positive Comments I’ve Received From My Fanbase

You know, I’m amazed by just how diverse my audience is when it comes to their listening habits!

I’ve had a lot of people tell me that they’ve listened to audios with their partner, and they’ve helped them get comfortable roleplaying out fantasies together. I’ve had people tell me that they’ve listened to my audios through entire road trips or long flights. Or that they’re the only thing that’s helped them relax after a long and stressful day. Audio porn is so immersive, I can definitely see how it has that effect!

My favorite comments tend to come from people who have commissioned recordings from me, using their own scripts. I work really hard to make these audios as great as possible, because I know someone’s going to get an audio tailored to their exact interests – their ultimate fantasies.

    Tips To Be Successful

A lot of beginners get hung up on equipment or their recording setup, when this is only a small part of the equation. With good post-processing, a $100 microphone can sound almost as good as a $1,000 microphone.

Instead, focus on building up your acting skills. Study and practice mimicking characters from different shows. Take voice acting classes. Get into the mindset of your character as well as how the listener is going to be feeling. Listen to other voice actresses who have recorded the same scripts (or similar roles) and ponder how they’ve interpreted the script differently. And of course, invite listeners to give you blatant, honest feedback – even if it means your feelings end up hurt for a minute!

  • Fashion & Lifestyle Influencer Maddie

    Fashion & Lifestyle Influencer Maddie

Hi y’all, My name is Maddie but most people know me as Maddiekat from my socials. I am from Knoxville, TN where I am currently working as a bartender part time at one of my favorite local dive bars. I have always loved social media every since middle school, and I ended up being able to be fortunate enough to turn that into a job as a lifestyle influencer and content creator!

I seriously have a shopping problem, but hey its just part of the job LOL. I love social media and how I can connect with people who I can share my fashion style, give life advice, share brands that I work with, and get to share what my life looks like. I think that social media has given me the ability to help people who might be going through a tough time, share my story about coming out in a religious hometown,  share my fashion finds to help people be able to find clothing that makes them feel as beautiful as they are, and help empower women to keep chasing those dreams because you never know when they are going to come true!

How will you describe your fashion style?

I would describe my fashion style as feminine edgy, I love dressing this way to show that powerful side of being a woman while still being edgy and in style. I have loved being able to use Instagram to show off my unique style and be able to connect with people who love the same kind of style.

What is your proudest achievement so far?

My life has been a rollercoaster for the past three years, and I would say that my proudest achievement so far would be surviving those three years and being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and see the person that I have become today.

Which is the best compliment you have received?

The best compliment I have received would have to be someone telling me that I have the ability to make people feel seen and heard, and able to relate to anyone that I meet on a personal level. It literally made me cry when I heard that!

Is there any food or drink you can’t live without?

Soda water is literally the one drink that I could never live without. Chicken Tenders and Grilled Cheese would have to be the food that I would die if I couldn’t eat.

What hobbies and interests do you have?

I love Volleyball! I actually was a college athlete and I am always looking for games or leagues that I can join so that I can play again! I also love bartending which is what I do on the side now! I also love photography

If you can drop everything and go on a road trip, where will be your destination?

New York City!! Literally planning my trip to go there in the next few months!

What do you not get about the opposite sex?

Why men feel like they can label a girl or treat a girl poorly simply based on the outfit that they are wearing.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Maddie. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

I would define sexy as WOMEN, but women who keep fighting for their dreams, confident in themselves, and never letting societal views discourage them for being exactly who they want to be.

  • NZ Cosplayer, Content Creator & Twitch Streamer Cassidy

NZ Cosplayer, Content Creator & Twitch Streamer Cassidy

I’m Cassidy or ‘Catssidy’ but most people call me Cass or Cat. I am a cosplayer, content creator, and Twitch Streamer from Auckland New Zealand. I’ve always loved being in front of a camera and bringing characters to life. In fact, I am a trained makeup artist but now only do that for fun – it really helps with cosplaying! I love all things horror and spooky which got me into makeup in the first place – special effects makeup will always have a special place in my heart.. You’ll catch me mainly playing horror games too.

A few other things about me are that I absolutely LOVE cats,I currently have two Mr Puss and Bernard but I also foster kittens on the side. I am a black belt in Taekwondo and trained for over 10 years. I also have a pretty cool job – I work as a Community Manager for a VR game developer called Mighty Eyes here in NZ – it really is my dream job!

What is your fashion style like and where do you draw inspiration from?

Honestly, my fashion has changed so much over the last few years. But now I have two distinct styles ‘egirl’ and ‘urban egirl’ – trust me, they are a little different! On my social profiles you will see me in pastel colours but if you run in to me out and about I mainly wear black clothes in the same ‘egirl’ style but more toned down. I love Japanese fashion – so a get a lots of inspo – walking down Harajuku last year was a dream! The fashion was so cool. I hope to look that cool one day!

Which 3 items are most important in your wardrobe?

Black mini skirt, black long sleeved cropped top and my doc martins.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a risk taker are you?

I would say 5 – I do take the occasional risk to try out something new, but day to day I don’t like to stand out too much. I do get some weird looks – especially if I have pink hair in public.

Is there any food or drink you don’t take?

I try to avoid cheese – which is a bit sad. I also won’t have any fizzy drink or energy drinks past 2pm otherwise it keeps me up all night.

Do you have any favorite quotes or mottos you like to use?

‘In a world you can be anything, be kind.’  – It speaks for itself really. You don’t know what others are going through so be kind. Even smiling at a stranger could make their day.

What do you not get about the opposite sex?

Why they take so long on the toilet LOL.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Cassidy. One question before we end, how do you define ‘sexy’?

The key to being sexy is confidence! So confidence I guess.

  • Tips For Escort Beginners

    Tips For Escort Beginners

I am very positive about the topic of escort and sex work and am in favor of a legal and liberal approach to the political and social course. However, I am aware that sex work must be viewed in a very differentiated manner, as unfortunately not everyone involved works under ideal and desirable conditions.

How I Got Started As An Escort

I had a key moment when a friend of mine spent a night with a stranger and the next morning he put some banknotes on the table for her. She was beside herself and found it terrible, but I couldn’t understand her reaction and felt inspired by the event.

A short time later I registered on a portal for sexual services and then had my first paid date. It was great, the man was very sweet, handsome, funny and respectful. It was a lot of luck that my first date ended so positively, as I had no (screening) experience and relied entirely on my gut feeling, which still has the last word when it comes to the question of whether I meet a client or not.

    How The Escorting Industry Works

There is the option to work with agencies or as an independent escort. Both have advantages and disadvantages, but if escorting is not your main job and you are still relatively early in your business, it can make sense to have an agency represent you. I’ve done both and am the independent type, but it took a few years before I had enough courage to go into business for myself and manage everything on my own. In short: agency means little to no management, but there is a commission for the agency and you actually only have blind dates. Independent means managing everything on your own, but there is no commission and you can get a better impression of the clients in advance and be more selective. I know some escorts who go both ways.

    Highs & Lows I’ve Experienced

    Highs:

    • Get to places and hotels that would otherwise most likely have remained hidden from me
    • Every time a client lets me fly to them in another country (e.g. USA or Canada), it’s a big deal
    • constant personal development and broadening of horizons

    Lows:

    • when there are phases in which there are little to no date requests or only dubious ones
    • If you don’t have a good physical or mental match with a client (luckily, it’s a very good match most of the time)

    Misconceptions About Escorting

I suspect that even in the 21st century, many people still see escorting as something shady and do not see it as a serious job that someone chooses because he or she enjoys it. But the core problem is that most people don’t really know what it’s really about and what lies behind it.

For example, many people think of pure companionship without sexual interactions, which does happen from time to time, but very rarely. This is where sugarcoating often occurs. With escorting, you ostensibly pay for the time spent together, but sex is actually always an integral part of it. Society should not close its eyes to this, but rather find a way of acceptance and tolerance. In my opinion, paying for sex should be seen as normal as paying for food in a restaurant. Both are basic needs that are met by others with special dedication and service.

How I See The Industry Evolving

I see a very slow change in the industry and wish society was more developed and open in this regard. But what needs to be highlighted is the fact that the agencies are much more modern and aesthetic these days and that means more women are attracted to trying out escorts.

Tips for newbies: 1. Gut feeling comes first – if you feel uncomfortable with something, don’t force yourself to do it. 2. Make sure your photos are beautiful, expressive and not overly edited. 3. Pay your taxes 😉

  • Sacramento Bay Area Blogger, Carla Bohna

Sacramento Bay Area Blogger, Carla Bohna

It’s an honor to be featured! A little about me: I’m 24 and have a 14-year-old dachshund and a one-year-old dachshund beagle mix. They’re my children, and they both have the sassiest personalities.

I always have a hard time answering where I’m from. I moved to Starkville, MS from Cleveland, OH around the age of 9. I lived in Mississippi until I graduated high school. You could say I’m a mix of a northern and southern girl. From there, I’ve lived in Italy, Atlanta, GA, and as of this past year, I currently reside in Sacramento, CA.

    MY FASHION STYLE

I only feel I have found my true fashion sense this year. Before I used to run with the trends and quickly got tired of pieces in my closet when the trend slowed down. In 2023, I’ve only been thrifting my clothes, and this has allowed me to be more creative and expressive with my style. I have been searching for and purchasing a lot of bohemian-style pieces. I love it when I find handmade, one-of-a kind-pieces.

    FOODIE FAVORITES

I’m a huge foodie and have hundreds of food videos, mainly from Atlanta since Atlanta is such a great foodie city. My favorite food hands down is noodles. The thicker the noodle the better. Garlic noodles with a little spice is *chefs kiss*. I’m also a Mac and cheese and fries connoisseur. If the fries aren’t crispy, I don’t want them.

    HOBBIES / INTERESTS

I’m a huge self-care enthusiast. I get the most happiness from traveling and trying new places, but I find the most fulfillment in the everyday slow living with my fiancé and dogs. I love practicing yoga, skincare, and mindful meditation.

3 THINGS TO DO IN SACRAMENTO, CA

    1. Visit the California state capital and have a picnic.
    2. Take a stroll around old Sacramento and have a drink aboard the Delta King boat over the American River.
    3. Visit The Bank for a cocktail that has 100 years of rich history behind the beautiful architecture and downstairs vault and taproom.

    EMBARRASSING STORIES

One of my most embarrassing now funny stories, has to be when I was 15/16, I was traveling with my mom. We were both giggly and sleep-deprived from traveling for a couple of days. The lights were off on the plane, everyone quietly sleeping, and I was just finishing eating my Subway tuna sandwich. I already knew these passengers were annoyed with me, then I decided to begin opening a box of rainbow nerds when the plane started experiencing turbulence. During this turbulence, my rainbow nerds rolled down the airplane walkway. All you could hear during this silent flight was my nerds tumbling.

(I’m so sorry to the flight attendants)

    LEARN ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD

Apart from learning as many languages as I can, I am in the process of learning to sew and hopefully create some amazing pieces! A goal of mine is to thrift items that would otherwise go to the landfill, and create elegant clothing that stays in circulation.

GUYS, WHAT I DON’T GET ABOUT THEM

Everything but one in particular thing I don’t get about guys is their obsession with sports. I say this as a football coach’s fiancé, I just don’t get the obsession. My fiancé could say the same thing about my obsession with Love Island.

    HOW I DEFINE SEXY

I define sexy as being yourself. Someone is so sexy when they are themselves unapologetically. Authenticity goes a long way, and there’s something so sexy about it.

  • Photographer & Stand-UP Comedian Abby Ballin

Photographer & Stand-UP Comedian Abby Ballin

Hey Sexy Fans! I’m Abby Ballin a Photographer / Stand Up Comedian originally from NYC currently based in South Florida.

How do you describe your fashion style and where do you love to shop from?

My Fashion style is a little all over the place. I steal a lot of vintage clothes from my Mom as she really had wild taste when she was young and luckily held on to a lot of her statement pieces. I like to say I shop at KB’s Closet (as her name is Kathie Ballin). When not stealing from her though I often shop online at Nasty Gal as they have great sales and a lot of funky, colorful and SEXY items. If I were to name my style I would call it “Time Travel Attention Whore.”

Do you have any hobbies or interests?

Comedy started out as a hobby and turned into a career shockingly. I’ve been a photographer for over 15 years now and only doing Stand Up for about 4 years yet at this point comedy is taken up about 65% of time. Somehow I’ve been lucky enough to take two (basically hobbies) and turn them into businesses.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of an adventurer are you?

10! If time and money was not a thing I think I would be permanently traveling and exploring. I love experiences and going to new places! Different cultures fascinate me and I really enjoy connecting with new people from all around the world.

If you could have a super power, what will it be?

That’s easy, teleportation! I’d never be late and that would also solve the previous question…I could travel whenever I want 🙂

Can you recommend 3 things every tourist should experience in the city you live in?

I think if you can see live local entertainment in any city you travel to that is a great way to experience the culture and also support the local artists. Obviously I’m biased, but South Florida has a vibrant up and coming Comedy scene this is just budding and a very cool thing to witness as you get to come in at the ground level. If I didn’t say beaches I may get removed from Florida…so for the love of god go to the beach! Lastly I would say the everglades if you’re the outdoors type is a pretty unique experience and if you ever wanted to be a few feet away from a gator, well wish granted.

What is a typical day like for you?

Most days start with answering emails and messages and then I get started on the editing work I have to do, there always seems to be never ending editing. That is if I don’t have a photoshoot already booked that day. I try a squeeze in a backyard workout at some point and snuggles with my animals before I end the day with Comedy. On average I perform 3-4 nights a week and when I am not performing I try to work on my material and either work on existing jokes and tighten them up or start developing new premises. So in short a typical day for me is filled with my work, but work that is my passion and that I love.

What turns you off on a date?

I really appreciate good communication. A big turn off for me is someone who either can’t stop talking about themself or has really nothing of interest to say at all.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Abby. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Sexy to me is confidence. May sound cliche, but I don’t feel you can genuinely be sexy if you’re not confident. I think how we hold ourselves and sit in our bodies is also a defining trait of being sexy. I love someone who is comfortable in their skin and almost moves in a slinky way. I’m a big smell person as well, so add some nice fragrance to that combo and I’ll pounce for sure!

  • Hawaiian Model Kamau

    Hawaiian Model Kamau

SimplySxy is delighted to feature Kamau from Hawaii as she shares more on her fashion inspiration, how much of a foodie she is and what turns her off on a date!

What is your fashion style like and where do you get inspiration from?

My fashion style is kinda hard for me to describe. It’s a mix of casual, skater girl, and street wear. With an occasional tight fitting tops and shorts with thigh high socks. My inspiration sometimes comes from watching anime or fashion that’s on trend. But I mainly go for what makes me comfortable and it usually always involve a nice comfy pair of sneakers, mainly Vans or Sketchers.

Do you follow any beauty or exercise regime to look so fabulous?

Well growing up as a kid, I was more of a tomboy so I didn’t really mind all those things and I was naturally active because I saw myself as “one of the guys”. But to this day, I am still active and do consistently go to the gym. And I’ve been practicing more with my self care.

Which is the best compliment you have received?

The best compliment I received would be, being told that I inspire them. After I told them my past experiences and the things I’ve been through and the things I’ve done. They never expected someone like me to have gone through what I had experienced.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?

WHO DOESNT LOVE FOOD!? Growing up in a Filipino household, it would be disrespectful not to eat their cooking. Even if you’re full, you still gotta eat something!! So of course, a 10!!

Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?

There’s a lot of things that I would want to do. But as much as finding time for it, being able to afford it was more difficult. But if I were to pick one…. it would be to travel to Japan.

    Which flavor best describes you?

A flavor to best describe me? It’s really hard to pick since I never really thought of that before and I’m not a really good cook so I don’t know all of the spices. But I’m somewhere between sweet and spicy. I’m sweet to those who are nice and kind and considerate, then I can be very mean and spicy to those who are mean jerks and wastes my time. But my friend describes me as a cotton candy.

What turns you off on a date and do you have a bad date experience to share?

The biggest turn off would be if the energy or vibe isn’t matching. Or that there was no planning or thought put into the date. My time is precious and I don’t like to waste it.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Kamau. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

How I define “Sexy” is not just by how one looks, but how the person carries themselves. The confidence they emit, inside and out. Their morals, passions, visions, dreams, goals and how they are with expressing their emotions. Now that, is sexy.

  • What It Takes To Be A Nude Creator

What It Takes To Be A Nude Creator

To me, “nudism” means being able to function socially without the need for clothing. Healthy social functioning includes mutual respect for fellow human beings: ie not equating being nude with “asking for it” when sexual harassment becomes a problem. I am not a purist nudist, however. Because I have made a career off of profiting from modeling nude, and purist nudists frown upon capitalising on photography of the nude body.

I do respect nudism as a lifestyle, and often hang out nude by myself at home and with my boyfriend (especially when it’s hot out!). I have met with legitimate nudists who are respectful, but unfortunately I have also had a handful of interactions with perverts who pretend to be “nudists” in order to stare at unclothed women at nude beaches, blatantly masturbate, or even approach aggressively with a boner. These types of people give nudism a bad reputation, and those behaviors are not allowed at nudist resorts.

How I Got Started Into Nude Modeling

I was raised in a strict household in an Assemblies of God Christian Cult. From a young age, I was trained that my nature was sinful and my body was a tool for the devil to use to capture my soul and hinder my entrance into heaven after I die. Our school and church brow beat all the kids with the concept of spiritual warfare, the secular world was demonic, and our natural feelings of “lust” were direct temptations influenced by Satan.

Starting at the age of 13, I began to doubt my sheltered little world. I knew I was beautiful, and I was willing to risk torture in a lake of fire for eternity just so that I could have a chance to express my true self… even if that was “vain”…

My first photoshoot was in 2006 when I was 18 with a photographer who found me on Myspace. I had been taking hot photos of myself in my room in my cute jammies for a while. He DM’d me asking, “Do you want to do a real photoshoot with a real photographer?“. Despite my insecurities of only being 5’2 and having stretch marks, I agreed to meet him for a lingerie photoshoot. Unfortunately, that first photographer was very sexually coercive, offering me drugs and alcohol and telling me I wasn’t pretty enough, ordering me over and over to go brush my hair again, and describing to me that despite my appearance his camera gear and lighting “made me look good”. He told me I was wasting his time if I wouldn’t pose nude for him. I was afraid of him and distraught with his demanding demeanor… so I obliged. He then tried to coerce me into making porn with him and I freaked out. He basically ran me off his property after forcing me to sign an NDA and get a photo of my ID “to prove he wasn’t making child p*rn”.

Even though that first experience was really terrible, I was not completely against the idea of giving nude modeling a second chance. A short time after that first experience, another photographer who found me on Craigslist set up a fashion shoot in the park with me. He was kind, patient, enthusiastic and respectful. He offered for me to model nude for him at his studio for $125/hour, and showed me some tasteful glamour images in his portfolio. Initially I declined, but after a few months of thinking about it, I emailed him and said I was ready to pose nude for him.

That second experience was very healing, the photographer treated me like an equal human being and allowed me plenty of time between sets to hang out in my robe and look at the photos on the back of his camera. I decided that moving forward, I would continue to pose nude for photographers I vetted and felt comfortable with. Over years of modeling, I honed a 6th sense for detecting nefarious intentions and I learned how to effectively check references to avoid negative experiences with perverts in the future.

The first few years of my modeling I was heavily influenced by my peers and by TV and magazines. I was convinced that I had to be on the runway and seeking agency representation in order to model. Over the course of time with trial and error, dealing with multiple scam agencies and rejections due to my 5’2 height, I decided that freelance modeling was the pathway for me. I have always booked my own shoots and managed my own schedule, rates, travel itinerary, reference checking etc etc.

What I love About Being A Nude Model/Creator

The initial decade of my nude modeling was mostly fueled by my desire to express my sensuality and creativity in a safe space, so that I could regain my confidence in myself and separate my true identity from my strict religious upbringing. It has been 18 years since my first photoshoot now, and I still prefer nude modeling over clothed modeling. I love the texture of skin in an image, I love the shadows and highlights the body forms and how it contrasts from whatever environment it’s placed in.

Being nude feels more natural, and making an income off nude modeling feels like the ultimate punk rock lifestyle. I don’t need to represent clothing brands or products, I can create in my own human body to make people think and feel something when they see an image of me.

Challenges Being In Front Of The Camera

Being in front of the camera is the easiest part of what I do, it’s everything else that is hard. If the photographer is a kind and/or creative person, being in front of the camera allows time to stop, and my mind is allowed to go into a state of flow: I analyze what the lighting and environment are providing me, imagine how I can insert myself into this setting, what to emote, how to twist, where the negative space will be, how my lines will enhance with or juxtapose the setting etc.

Beyond the sexual harassment and assaults I had to deal with mostly in the in the first decade of my modeling, another challenge I was faced with was convincing my family that my lifestyle was a legitimate career. I have two younger sisters and we are all close in age. Even though my parents are divorced, I still maintain relationships with both of them. In 2013, I started filming a documentary about freelance modeling (it’s released, find it at BringSomethingSexy.com ). It took several years to complete the film, and during the process of creating it, I came to the realization that my parents would want to watch it… and nudity was definitely involved in the movie. Suddenly it became painfully obvious to me that I should film my confessions with my parents that I was a nude model. I won’t spoil the movie for you (go watch it!) but I can say that it took a few years for my dad to stop trying to convince me to work at the post office instead of modeling.

I am currently 36 years old, and I am more successful than ever in my freelance modeling career. I have grown a reputation for dependability and ethical practices. I have developed friendly relationships with many photographers across the country who enjoy hiring me for their creative projects. I do still experience impostor syndrome and self doubt, and I do go through waves of starting new side projects and building new skills “in case my modeling is affected by my age”, but modeling remains my biggest passion and my main form of income, so I will continue to do what I love as long as it’s working out for me.

I suppose the short answer to your question is…. I have not had issues being nude in front of the camera, but I have had challenges in the social landscape dealing with judgmental folks and people with nefarious intentions.

Preparation I Do Before My Nude Shoots

In order to find shoots, I must market myself by engaging with my audiences on my various social media pages. Photographers find me mostly on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Model Mayhem, and through recommendations from other models and photographers in the community. Once a photographer has contacted me, communication in writing in advance is key when setting any photoshoot up.

Firstly, I will find their photography work online and look at their images. I am mainly looking at the microexpressions in the models faces, what are they telling me? If multiple models look scared or annoyed in their photos, I likely will not continue communication.

Next, I will contact at least 2-3 models in this photographer’s portfolio and ask what their experience was like. Did they feel safe? Were they treated professionally? This is especially helpful if the photographer has hired other full time traveling freelance models who I am already connected with online – it’s a pretty small community so this is a common situation. Over email, we will discuss date, time, location, conditions, compensation, level of nudity/ aroticism expected, whether or not a break is needed, transportation etc. Some photographers have a certain pubic hair style they prefer – this is sometimes a deal breaker for photographers who only want to shoot full bush or fully shaved if the model doesn’t want to cater to those preferences.

After we have planned out the details, I plan to arrive makeup and hair ready ten minutes before our agreed shoot start time, so that we have time to say hello and be shooting on set on time. Sometimes the photographer hires a makeup/ hair person, but I usually do my own. I also travel with a bag of sheer fabrics, vintage gowns, lingerie, jewelry, heels etc to add more looks to the shoot if desired.     Most other preparation is basically my lifestyle. The look I present in my portfolio is petite/ slim/ athletic, as I am very active in my lifestyle. I stretch and exercise every day and I am very flexible. This is often helpful at shoots where the photographer wants me to contort into strange positions, climb trees or rocks, hang from one arm from something, and other situations requiring some level of strength or agility. I have been sober for over 11 years, which contributes to my health and reliability (I was a severe alcoholic before).

It’s really important to be nourished before a shoot starts. I always start my day with a smoothie with some fruit and granola for breakfast, and I travel with snacks like carrots, nuts, protein bars etc. If the photographer wants to book a full day shoot, I always plan in advance how we are going to have lunch, or I will bring my own food.

Another lifestyle tactic I have to be mindful of each day as a professional nude model is that I strive to have an even skin tone across my whole body, ie: no farmer’s tan or bikini tan lines! I wear sunscreen on my face, neck and arms (if exposed) EVERY DAY. The last thing a photographer wants to do is spend extra unnecessary hours in photoshop trying to even out tan lines! For this reason, I rarely go to the beach to hang out in a bikini. If I am in a situation where I must be in the sun, I bring a long sleeve high neck shirt or a big scarf with a sun hat and sunblock to reapply while being exposed to the sun.

    Advice For Aspiring Nude Entrepreneurs

My first piece of advice for nude or erotic content creators or models is that you should come up with a realistic alias that sounds like a real person’s name. This can protect you and your family from possible stalkers or crazy people who come across your content online. There are incels and religious zealots out there who love to hate on us “evil” nude creators. However, even with an alias, it’s almost 100% likely that your friends and family and co-workers will find your NSFW content online. It’s usually just a matter of time. So be sure this is a world you are truly passionate about and are willing to risk everyone in your life finding your photos. Facial recognition software is more prevalent now and you will be found out.

Next, I will say that you aren’t necessarily going to become rich or famous from modeling nude or starting an Onlyfans etc… you get out of it what you put into it. The more genuine you are, the more people will be drawn to your vibe. So be yourself and don’t be fooled into crossing your own personal boundaries just for financial gain, it will usually bite you in the ass down the road.

Lastly I will mention that consistency is key. Post regularly, be genuine, be on time, say what you mean to say, do the things you are committed to do, and you will be successful.

Hello, my name is Kristy Jessica and I am a full time traveling nude model. I have been modeling since the age of 18, despite my strict religious upbringing.
