  • Interview with Jay Smooth, Male Pornstar from Poland

Interview with Jay Smooth, Male Pornstar from Poland

My name is Jay Smooth and I am an adult model and performer originally from Poland.  I joined the adult industry in early 2013.  I am still very new to the porn industry and I am enjoying that exciting journey every single day.

SimplySxy:  Where do you see the industry in the next 10 years?

Jay Smooth:  The boundary between mainstream and porn slowly fades and I believe that porn will not be considered so negatively in the next 10 years and it will become shown on public television and certain genres of pornography, like glamcore will be generally accepted by society as a beautiful depiction of sexuality.

    _MG_9269

SimplySxy:  Does size really matter for male actors in the porn industry?

Jay:  I think it does.  It is easier for well-endowed performers to showcase female performers better.  Basically, there is more variations and angles of penetration that can be shown.  However, performers with extremely big penises might hurt their co-workers even unintentionally, so I would say 7in and up is the porn standard.  What is more important is whether (the) male performer’s tool is working properly.

SimplySxy:  Can you share with us one funny/awkward/embarrassing moment that have happened on set?

Jay:  I remember one of my first shoots where I had to work with a girl that has never shoot porn before and what is even worse, she was an open lesbian and never had had sex with men before.  To make things worse, she was on her period that day.  You can imagine that it wasn’t the easiest day for me.

SimplySxy:  What is your favourite porno scenario?

Jay:  I have a huge foot fetish so I love to work in this genre and all possible scenarios work for me there.  Also, I love outdoor shoots, massage scenarios and bodies full of oil.  My favorite shoots are those full of passion and kissing, glamcore shoots.

SimplySxy:  How do you psych yourself if you are not turned on by the set or co-stars?

Jay:  I always try to focus on the sexiest part of my female co-star body.  There are always some sexy parts of females bodies that help me stimulate myself.  Although, all of us have days where we are not that sensitive and it takes more effort to stimulate sexually.  Then, imagination and concentration helps.

SimplySxy:  What’s the easiest way to feel aroused for you? And what is your biggest turn on during sex?

Jay:  The easiest way to feel aroused for me is to feel as comfortable with my co-star as possible.  Outgoing, nice personality and dirty mind helps a lot.  Of course, I cannot stress enough how physical attraction is important.  The biggest turn on for me is deep look into my eyes by my female partner as well as their kinky nature.  As I mentioned before, I love beautiful feet so if everything else fails, that’s usually a very stimulating body part of my co-stars.

SimplySxy:  What is the most orgasmic thing a lover can do to you?

Jay:  Touch me, kiss me, and stare deeply into my eyes while I am penetrating her.

    _MG_9489

SimplySxy:  Where is the strangest/craziest place you’ve ever had sex?

Jay:  On a plane and at the parking lot in my car right next to a police car.

SimplySxy:  Your personal view towards pornography?

Jay:  I’ve enjoyed pornography since I was a teenager. I personally see nothing wrong with pornography. I think it has its therapeutic role in people’s lives. To me, it inspired me to experiment sexually and become sexually free. I have always been a very sexual individual and I have learnt to embrace it.

SimplySxy:  Sexiest body part a woman you enjoy kissing?

Jay:  Lips, boobs, feet and vagina, in that particular order.

A message from you to all your fans and the SimplySxy readers:

  • Interview with Mike Kulich, founder of Monarchy Distribution & Stunner PR

Interview with Mike Kulich, founder of Monarchy Distribution & Stunner PR

For the past 10 years, Mike Kulich has worked in almost every area of the adult entertainment business.  Beginning in 2004, he started in sales at International Video Distributors (IVD), the world’s largest adult DVD distribution company where he built up an extensive network of stores and online retailers.  After 4 years, he left to start DVD Makers which quickly became the premiere company for adult studios throughout the country to replicate and manufacture their DVDs.  After DVD Makers, Kulich started Monarchy Distribution with the goal of connecting talent that self-produce content with traditional DVD and broadcast distribution.  Since the formation of Monarchy in 2010, the company has received over 35 industry award nominations and 5 wins.  He is also the owner of Stunner PR, a full service PR agency which helps adult talent, video, and novelty companies help expand their brand.

SimplySxy:  Pornography is very much available freely on the internet now than it was in the 90s.  In some ways, it is easier for films and porn stars to widen their reach but a downside of it is more piracy.  How do you think the industry will and should evolve towards?

Mike Kulich:  The effect piracy has had on the Adult Industry has been absolutely devastating.  When I started my first job in 2004 it was a completely different time.  We were moving 10,000 pieces of some titles and nowadays when it comes to DVD you are very lucky if you can do 10% of that.  The effects piracy have had on our industry are something that cannot be fixed.  The vast majority of people will never pay for porn again.  For companies to survive they have to adapt to different platforms and find new revenue streams for their content.  Up until 2007, DVD was the bread and butter of every studio.  Now you see studios branching out into other types of digital distribution including VOD, PPV, Broadcast, Hotels, etc.  The main reason I created SkweezMe.com was to try to bring revenue back to the studios.  We reinvented the VOD model.  Competing sites still require you to buy packages of minutes.  $1.00 on those sites will buy you about 12 minutes of streaming content.  On SkweezMe.com, $1.00 gives our users 24 hours of access to stream unlimited content on our platform for that full day.  I think the goal to get people to start paying for porn again is give them quality content at a price that people won’t mind paying as well as a platform which they can access anywhere and is quick and even more user friendly than the tube sites.  The industry norm for paysites is $29.99 a month which comes out to the same as our platform, but with SkweezMe.com, you only pay for the days that you use our service so if you only use our platform 4 days a month you are only paying $4.00.  The thing that most of the tube users don’t realize is that the majority of the clips and scenes they are watching on these tubesites are all pirated.  They go to a website that has an Alexa rating right around Yahoo.com so they automatically assume since the site is so big and popular they have to be legitimate but it’s exactly the opposite.  I use a company called Take Down Piracy and all they do is patrol the tube and torrent sites and send DMCA notices on my behalf to get my content that has been pirated taken down.

SimplySxy:  There has been an increasing number of homemade videos from celebrities and just about any non-celebrity surfacing online ever so often.  People seem to like to watch these “real and non-scripted” stuff even if the quality of the vid isn’t fantastic.  Is that something porn industry will consider producing to make videos similar?

Mike:  Amateur content has obviously seen an explosion in the past few years with the rise of tube sites, social media and ease with connecting with other people.  I have a line called Amateur Relations which is just that, user submitted content that we pay to the couples who produce it.  It does do very well, however it is still a small niche in a very large market.  The amount of amateur content online is probably more than the mainstream porn that is produced and the market is very saturated so I do not see studios dumbing down the quality of their content to compete in a small niche in the business.

SimplySxy:  As with every industry, it takes a lot to stay competitive and survive in business.  What do you think an aspiring porn star needs to make it?

Mike:  The competitiveness of the business is harsher than it has ever been.  Because of the rampant piracy, a lot of studios have shut down, shoot less, or don’t shoot at all anymore.  On the other side of the coin, the amount of talent has exploded.  There are more active performers in the industry than ever before with 70% less work to satisfy the workforce.  For a girl to really stand out and have a successful career she needs to realize that unless you are in bed sleeping, you should be promoting yourself 24/7.  Twitter, Facebook, Paysites, Tumblr and having a good publicist can help you accomplish that.  In an industry where busloads of new girls pull into town every day, you need to make sure that when a director or studio head opens a magazine or adult news site you are right in front of their face.  It’s also really important to be professional on set, build solid friendships and make sure you are maintaining a positive reputation because the industry really is very small and tight-knit.  Lastly, I would say that you have to be fully devoted to your career.  If you are a girl that has one foot in the door and one foot out or are just shooting a scene to pay the most recent bill, you won’t see a lot of success and when all is said and done, that decision may come back to haunt you.  It’s all about hustling.  In adult it’s not easy anymore. Only the strong survive.

SimplySxy:  Do you think more control is necessary to prevent children and underaged teens from having access to porn or is this up to the individual families to control?.

Mike:  This is a two sided argument that goes back to the tube sites.  The majority of pay sites go through a reputable billing processor.  On my site SkweezMe.com, for someone to view any type of content they have to sign up and pay.  Our merchant processor has built in age verification.  Most paysites are like this.  However, if you look at the tube sites, when you type in the address it goes straight to the front page that is covered in clips.  There is no age verification and these are the sites most of the people watching porn are using.  I guarantee if you ask any teenage boy between the ages of 12-17 if they have ever viewed porn they will say yes and the site they saw it on would be one of the major tubes which did nothing to prevent someone underage from accessing the content on their site.

SimplySxy:  There are people who cringe and judge a person differently when they hear that they watch pornographic material.  In your opinion, are there benefits from watching porn other than just using it to jack off?

Mike:  I think everyone can agree that the majority of the people who utilize porn are horny guys just jacking off, but there are really big markets within the industry that prove there are benefits.  If you look at New Sensations director Jacky St. James, she primarily produces romance and couples films.  The majority of the people who are buying her product are couples and women.  These types of movies can help enhance a couple’s sex life.  Then there is also the instructional genre which can teach viewers how to better satisfy their partner.  They have instructional videos for almost everything including G-Spots, Prostate Massages, Different positions, etc.  We are one of the few industries in the world that gives the consumer EVERYTHING they could ever want.

SimplySxy:  Where kind of scenes do you enjoy filming most?

Mike:  Our MILF lines are probably our best selling titles. We have a loyal fan base that will pick up every MILF movie we put out and that genre has always been a big cornerstone of Monarchy and we have won a few awards for them as well.

SimplySxy:  Are there many differences between various countries when it comes to producing porn?  Say comparing those coming out from America with Japan?

Mike:  The laws and outlook on filming pornography vary from country to country.  Currently there is legislation in Mexico to treat all pornographic content shot in the country to be treated as sex trafficking with heavy penalties including serving upwards of 15 years in prison.  Europe obviously has always been much less prude than the rest of the world.  If you look at the content that comes out of Europe it is usually much harder, a lot more anal, and has sex acts that you would not see in a American movie.  Because of the obscenity issues in the US, American porn compared to other countries is considered very cookie cutter.

SimplySxy:  Which is your favorite porn star you have worked with?

Mike:  I would say Alana Evans. I have known her for years and she has been in the business for over 17 years and she is still relevant. She is still shooting all the time, as well as pursuing big things in other industries.

SimplySxy:  Do you sometimes feel weary from all the sex?  With your business and line of work, and then getting it on a personal level?

Mike:  I don’t get weary.  The adult business for me is just like any other job.  Porn is a product I sell. I will say that I am very desensitized from it though.  Porn just doesn’t excite me the way it would if I worked in another industry.

SimplySxy:  This is a question from one of our readers.  What does it take to date a porn star?

Mike:  Most of the girls I know date within the industry but I do know girls that date civilians (non industry guys).  I think the key is to realize that the girls are here to do a job.  Just because you see a girl on camera getting double penetrated by two huge guys doesn’t mean that’s an invitation to bring your buddy home and do the same thing to her.  This is acting.  It’s a job.  You also have to be comfortable with the fact that this is what they do for a living.  Jealousy will get you nowhere.  Just be a genuinely good dude and you shouldn’t have a problem.

  • Feminist Porn: Orgasmic, Honest and Empowering!

Feminist Porn: Orgasmic, Honest and Empowering!

Pornography is one of those hot-button issues (like abortion or same-sex marriage) that many people are markedly divided on: you’re either pro or anti-porn. This division is largely influenced by feminism and women’s movements (which men can be a part of too!) which proclaim that mainstream porn is produced by men, for men, which leads to the objectification and (non-consensual) humiliation of women. However there is hope; there is feminist porn!

Unfortunately, the proclamation about mainstream porn being objectifying and demeaning of women is pretty accurate. Watch any heterosexual porn; it is easy to see that the woman’s sexual needs and pleasure are not a priority.  The “male gaze” of the camera portrays women as objects because the camera largely focuses on the women’s body parts (her breasts or vagina), instead as a whole. For those of you who are unsure, this is a prime example of objectification; depicting a woman as disjointed body parts, not as a person.  She is not seen as a sexual being with her own sexual needs. Even lesbian mainstream porn is created for men’s pleasure and still is not focused on female desire or showing women as whole women. The viewer primarily only sees fingers going into vaginas or tongues licking clits—not good!

Don’t worry, feminist porn is here to save the female orgasm … I mean day! What is feminist porn you ask?  Feminist porn is made by feminists (mostly women, but that’s not always the case) and attempts to give the audience what mainstream porn doesn’t—real people sometimes of different gender identities and sizes having real sex. Feminist porn likes to show real foreplay, real sex, and real orgasms. The viewer can see the individuals and partners not just as a vagina or a penis but as a person with different sexual desires or kinks.

How do feminist porn directors and producers show the audience real and not produced or forced sexuality? Well for starters, feminist pornographers are usually advocates of better wages and conditions for actors and actresses. Makes sense right? Better conditions to have sex, more freedom to voice concerns about the scene (i.e. wanting to wear a condom) and higher pay would make any employee feel better about their job and probably increase morale and productivity too.

In addition, feminist porn loves to showcase different kinds of actors and actresses. It can be difficult to find trans, gender fluid, gender bending or queer actors in mainstream porn, but there are plenty of queer folks in feminist porn who love to have sexy fun too. Mainstream porn can seem limited with the actors they showcase; they are mostly White, able-bodied individuals and often straight-identifying people play gay, lesbian or bi-roles. In feminist porn there are queer-identifying people playing queer-identified roles, which also adds to the authenticity of the porn.

Feminist porn also likes to bring gender and social issues to center stage in some of the filming by highlighting disability, gender and/or sex roles. Having actors who have disabilities, androgynous (having masculine and feminine characteristics) or show actors in non-traditional power roles (like having a woman cum on a man) can push the cultural norms of what it means to be beautiful, powerful or sexually active.

Don’t be mistaken, feminist porn is not just for women or activists or queer people though. Feminist porn has a wide range of genres with an even wider range of actors to play in the scenes. There are sensual scenes like mutual masturbation between a woman and her male partner to an orgy scene with five men and women using gadgets such as ball-gags and crops while playing. There’s definitely something that would tickle almost anyone’s fancy.

This is just a glimpse into what feminist porn has to offer. Feminist porn wants to expand the audience’s ideas about desire, sexuality, beauty, gender, and power through revolutionary film-making with happy, consenting and sometimes gender bending actors. It’s all about empowerment both for the actors and producers, as well as for the audience.  To watch some awesome feminist porn, check out the following links:

  • Cindy Starfall, the Asian Sensation, shares her love

Cindy Starfall, the Asian Sensation, shares her love

Cindy Starfall was raised in a strict Vietnamese household that did not allow her to express herself sexually.  A year ago, the Asian sensation decided to make a career out of her sexual liberation by joining the adult industry.  Cindy is a regular at upscale swinger events and parties and loves celebrating her sexuality with fun, open-minded couples.  Since her debut the gorgeous exotic star has worked with XXX production companies such as Hustler, Wicked, Penthouse, Evil Angel, Digital Playground, Adam & Eve and many more.  Cindy is also a celebrated feature entertainer and currently tours the most popular gentlemen’s clubs with Hustler’s Asian Invasion Tour.  Cindy has already launched an online store where fans can buy DVDs, request autographed pictures and other Cindy Starfall memorabilia directly from the star. The business-savvy beauty launched the first design in her men’s t-shirt line at the 2014 AE Expo.  Though the petite starlet has only been performing in the adult industry for a year, her work has already been celebrated with a Best New Starlet nomination for the 2014 AVN Awards and XRCO Awards. Cindy was also nominated for Best Scene in a Non-Feature Release in the 2014 XBiz Awards.

    cindy_starfall_pillow2478

SimplySxy: Has the internet made the adult industry more difficult and competitive?

Cindy Starfall: In my opinion, the internet did make the industry more competitive but I believe there is still a DVD market out there who is willingly to spend money to watch new movies instead of waiting for free clips online.

SimplySxy: What are some of the misconceptions people have about the adult industry?

Cindy: The two main misconceptions about the adult industry that I often encounter are that we are diseased people and we are uneducated people.

First of all, these misconceptions can be found in any industry, even mainstream entertainment, so just because we have sex on camera does not mean that we are all dirty people.  We are tested every 14 days.  Because sex is my job, I’m more conscious of my body and take better care of it.
Another misconception that the reason we do porn (is) because we are uneducated and can’t do anything else, so we have to “sell” ourselves.  I want to state that the reason we do porn is because we genuinely love sex.  As for me, I love the audience and the fantasy of having someone or a camera watching me is a turn on.  I graduated with a BA in Business Marketing and know many porn stars with college educations!

Of course, there are some pornstars out there that fit the typical stereotype, but please be open minded and don’t generalize us all to be in one category!

    Cindy_Starfall_red2279

SimplySxy: Can you share with us one funny/awkward/embarassing moment that have happened on set?

Cindy: An awkward moment would be when I first started, I did a hardcore throat f**king scene and he shot a huge load all over my face. Accidentally, few drops got into my eyes and it started to get red.  I was new so I didn’t bring any eye drops for my eyes.  So I went to a drug store and the lady was very helpful, but she couldn’t stop asking why I’m getting pink eyes.  What should I say? Oh somebody just shot a huge load in my eyes?  LOL

SimplySxy: Does all the sex during filming make it easier or harder when you have sex off camera?

Cindy:  Sex on camera is different that sex off camera.  I still have sex a lot off camera because I don’t have to worry much about giving a performance, lighting, timing, etc and I can just enjoy the moment.

SimplySxy:  Solo, DP, Gangbang, which scene do you like best?

Cindy: I love when a guy is f**king me and slides his finger into my asshole so we can kinda call it a DP.  Since I’m still an anal virgin, one day I will definitely try it.  I also love gangbangs because (I’m) surrounded by many horny men and they can take advantage of me.

    cindy_starfall_blackred2965

SimplySxy:  Do you love using sex toys in the bedroom? And name a favourite sex toy you can’t do without?

Cindy: I love using my sex toys in the bedroom as part of my everyday routine.  We can find all of my favourite sex toys in “Brookstone” in the mall LOL.  They call it a “personal massager”.   Everytime I walk in the store, I fantasize about giving people a visual demonstration.  Some of my favourites also include the Hitachi and Lelo vibrator,…

SimplySxy: Please share with us one of your sexual fantasies?

Cindy: One of my sexual fantasies is being man-handled by two brothers or two best friends, because not everyone is comfortable in having sex with someone close to them or the social rule is that you don’t f**k your guy’s brother or best friend.  The idea is twisted and it makes it more exciting.

SimplySxy: Which body part of a guy do you like most?

Cindy: Besides his big cock and his smile, I love a man with a brain.  If I can’t have a conversation with someone, no matter how attractive he is, I eventually get bored and the sex can be boring.

    cindy_starfall_lace2885

SimplySxy: What is the most orgasmic thing a guy can do to you?

Cindy: Clit, clit ,clit! Licking my clit is the magic word.  My eyes would start rolling back and the only thing I want to do is jump on him and f**k the heck out of that cock.

SimplySxy:  In your opinion, what defines sex positivity?

Cindy: Chemistry.  It’s about pleasing each other, finding each other orgasmic spot and getting to know each other body.

  • When Erotica Meets The Internet: How Technology Has Changed Pornography

When Erotica Meets The Internet: How Technology Has Changed Pornography

The term “pornography” is often a vague way to describe representation of sexual behavior in books, media, art, and movies that evokes sexual stimulation. It has gained the reputation as being naughty, illicit, and has even been condemned by many cultural and religious groups. Another term we often hear is “erotica”, the more acceptable and tolerated version of pornography. The difference between the two is subjective and varies based on where you are and whom you ask. The history of pornography traces back long before we had the Internet and smartphones. It has been around since humans began to communicate through art, literature, and cultural symbols of sexual imagery and erotica. Pornography has been a worldwide phenomenon since the ancient Greek and Romans, Hindus, Japanese, Egyptians and even during the Victorian era in Great Britain.

The origin of pornography goes as far back as ancient cave drawings depicting sexual and erotic imagery. Different cultures around the world have historical depictions of erotica that can be seen as sacred, religious and artistic and to others, perverse and inappropriate. As technology has advanced, so has the access and distribution of pornography. The invention of the printing press led to a surge of pornographic material to the masses including magazines, newspapers, and picture books.  The Internet launched in 1991 when there were fewer than 90 published adult pornographic magazines. By the year 1997, there were over 900 pornography websites on the web. Current statistics show that there are now 2.5 million pornography websites available on the Internet. People have always been fascinated with sexuality. Sex is everywhere and only a click away using the latest technology, allowing viewers to browse in private, anonymously and without shame.

The argument in today’s culture is how pornography impacts our sexuality and that technology has changed the landscape of pornographic material. As technology advances, we have more access to pornography and research has yet to conclude if it has a negative impact.  Some believe that pornographic material can actually help alleviate sexual repression and create a sense of sexual enlightenment. Others believe that the widespread access of pornographic material is corruptive, dangerous and leads to sexual addiction, infidelity, and sex crimes. Pornography has been controversial due to religion and politics, which attempt to regulate the impact of sexual material on society by influencing how we think about pornography in regards to our sexual values and beliefs.  The impact of technology is rapidly changing our sex lives. It has changed how we communicate and our sexual behavior. Humans are fascinated by sexual stimuli and pornography has been an outlet for exploration and entertainment. But how has the Internet changed pornography? Technology has been a powerful source of promotion for sexual material and since the birth of the Internet, it has created a fast-growing billion dollar industry that dominates the world wide web.

The appeal of the Internet is the anonymity, affordability, and accessibility of the content. Other than website history, there is no traceable activity which makes browsing and exploring different aspects of sexuality private.  Pornography is believed to be a dominantly male interest; but growing numbers of women are using the Internet to explore sexual desires. It has become a routine part of culture in both Eastern and Western parts of the world. The average person does not have to interact with others to obtain erotica. Women who were too embarrassed to browse the video section at a local adult store can now search pornography from the comfort of their own home. Popular sites like PornHub provide enough erotic material to satisfy a variety of sexual curiosities. The general rule is, that if you can imagine it, there is most likely pornographic material of the same accessible on the Internet. The vast amount of pornographic material that is available on the Internet brings up the question of how our erotic interests and desires are shaped. Neuroscience, sex research, and Internet data have all looked at the impact of pornography on human desire. We need to understand the origin of sexual interests to see the correlation. There has to be an impulse that activates the search for a fantasy, image, or search term. Our programming for desire is influenced by social stimuli. This programming varies for men and women. It is a known fact that men are more visually stimulated while women are looking for stimulation through emotions. The Internet provides that stimuli whether it be images for men or stories for women. As technology develops further, it caters to the diversity and science of human sexual desire.  Our brains are programmed to sample our cultural environment. This can include messages by parents, teachers, friends, and the media. Our desires are then set according to these social inputs. Since our cultural environment is changing towards online interaction and technology, so are desire programming, sexual interests, and curiosities.

Pornography fascinates the average person and influences our sexual response and programming for desire. Whether or not there is scientific basis or facts, it will continue to be a topic of social and political protest. For some individuals, it can be a way to engage sexual exploration and an opportunity to become sexually awakened by learning to express oneself as a sexual being and to develop a sense of understanding around sexual values and needs. It can help an individual or couples learn about personal desire and turn-ons by being exposed to different forms of sexual stimuli. Many sex therapists will prescribe pornography or erotica to help clients engage in sexual interests and grow towards sexual awareness. Different types of pornographic material can evoke an emotional response whether be it sexual arousal or disgust. These emotions can help the therapist understand a client’s sexual programming and better provide tools and resources for sexual concerns. The political agenda disagrees with the positive aspects of pornography as a teaching tool and believes that it commercializes sex and causes more corruption, sex crimes, and negative behavior rather than good. There is no conclusion that a simple exposure to online pornography will negatively sexualize our society any more than other forms of media.  Like any form of media, moderation is important and understanding the impact can help reduce impulsivity, compulsivity and out of control sexual behavior. As a society, we must acknowledge that pornography is here to stay and understand how we can create awareness around how technology has changed pornography and how the Internet is changing our sexual relationships.

  • Porn Valley’s Goldstar Lesbian Lily Cade Speaks Out

Porn Valley’s Goldstar Lesbian Lily Cade Speaks Out

Lily Cade, porn valley’s goldstar lesbian and AVN Best All-Girl Performer nominee 2014, shares with SimplySxy her views on pornography, porn addiction and her favourite sex toy she can’t do without.

SimplySxy: What is your personal view on pornography?

Lily Cade:  I love making porn.  I’m a performer and a director and I find this job fulfilling on so many levels.  I love the athletic, high energy sex.  I love being able to inhabit a character that isn’t myself and embody her through a sex scene.  I love knowing that everyone is on the same page – that we are all on set to make a product and to make it good.  For me this is an expression of my creativity and an expression of my authenticity as a sexual being.

There’s a dark side to the porn industry, and it’s that a lot of people get into it not because this work really speaks to them but because they mistakenly think it’s a super lucrative profession or just kind of don’t know what they are getting themselves into.  There are doors closed with all of our life choices, but porn closes some pretty big ones (teaching being a prime example – we see a lot of “ex-porn star teacher fired” type stories).  If you do this job because you like it and you’re proud of it, someone bringing it up can’t hurt you…but if porn is the record of you making life decisions you regret, it can be used as a weapon against you.  Girls ask me all the time about getting into porn, and I tell them what is good and what is bad about it and a lot of times they change their minds about doing it. This job really isn’t for everyone.

SimplySxy: What were some of the challenges which you faced when you started out in the industry?

Lily:  I’m a bit of an unconventional porn star.  I have short hair, I’m sort of butch (I call myself “Hollywood Butch” as in “I’m not one, but I play one on TV”), I do girl/girl porn exclusively because I’m gay and not as a stepping stone to boy/girl and larger stardom.  I just f**k girls like I mean it.

When I first got into porn, I had a lot of producers and agents tell me that I wasn’t going to be successful, particularly if I wasn’t willing to f**k men on camera.  I just decided to represent myself, and I feel that I’ve accomplished a lot.  I have my own website LilyCade.com, I’ve directed movies that have been nominated for AVN awards, I’ve won two Feminist Porn Awards, and I was up for Best All Girl Performer at the AVN Awards last year.  I’ve shot hundreds of scenes and I’m still going strong.

I did make some changes to my look for porn.  I was really rough around the edges when I got in, but I like being able to be more versatile.  I’ll always have shorter hair, but I can rock an evening gown or a masculine suit depending on what the role calls for.  I learned everything I know about doing makeup after I got into porn – before porn I’d basically only worn it for Halloween.  I’ve grown a lot as a performer and as an actress.

SimplySxy: What are your views regarding pornography addiction?

Lily: Pornography isn’t technically addictive, although certainly there are people who become obsessed with it.  I think any activity that you’re doing in lieu of human interaction can be a problem, whether that’s looking at porn or playing World of WarCraft or just watching television all day.  For some people, porn can be a really positive thing, as a masturbation aid or as an educational tool or as something to spice up partnered sex.  It’s about balance.  If your entire life is watching porn, that’s not great, but we’re talking about adults here.  I don’t feel that as a media creator I’m responsible for policing people’s media consumption or judging their lives.

SimplySxy: Please share with us one tip for ladies to enjoy anal sex?

Lily: If your definition of “anal sex” is someone’s dick in your ass, then you probably need to work up to it.  Rimming feels good to a lot of girls (although I’ve met chicks who hate it – humans have varied sexual tastes), so do toys like buttplugs.  If you approach anal like it’s a thing you’re trying to accomplish instead of approaching your ass as yet another conduit to pleasure, you’re doing it wrong.  Your ass has nerves in it.  Explore them and figure out what feels good to you.

Anal hygiene is important too.  It’s way easier to relax around anal sex if you’re not worried about “santorum”.  Us porn girls are well acquainted with enemas.

SimplySxy: What is the ultimate role play for you?

Lily: I like cops, prison guards, anyone in a uniform.  I like playing with this particular sort of power and the abuse thereof.  These sorts of authority figures are part of a system that’s f**ked.  Our prison system is just massively inequitable, but the uniforms are hot, and that power to f**k up your life is hot, and there’s something taboo about being drawn to something dangerous.

I’ve done a lot of scenes where I’ve played a dirty cop and drawn attention to things that are unfair about the system while still doing really hot sex scenes so you get a touch of this “wrong but hot.”

SimplySxy: Which do you think is the sexiest part of a men’s body?

Lily: Oh honey. I’m the wrong gal to ask.  His money, I suppose, since I’m just not at all interested in men sexually.  I’ve never even kissed a boy .

SimplySxy: What is your favourite sex toy?

Lily: My strap-on.  I’m good with it, and I know how to give angles and do all the porno positions – picking girls up, pile-drivers, you catch my drift.  I like being able to f**k girls really hard, which I can also do with my hands, and I like the athleticism of it.  I think a lot of dildo use in porn scenes can be kind of disconnected – less using something to f**k each other and more using it to avoid having to have sex with one’s scene partner – but when I have my strap-on buried in some girl and I’m kissing her at the same time she’s definitely there with me.

Also, a lot of the girls I f**k are kind of straight.  My energy is kind of masculine.  I’m a creature of the borderlands and a lot of girls who aren’t into girly girls are into me.  So the strap-on thing works for me.

SimplySxy: Share with us one secret to spice it up in bed with a lover?

Lily:  Let go of your hangups. You have one life, and it’s dumb to be afraid of being honest about what you like and who you are.  Just be honest about your desires, both to yourself and to your partners.

Also monogamy is insane. There is so much that you can learn from other people that limiting yourself to one person sexually is just a very silly choice, on the level of deciding to have only one friend.  Jealousy is a stupid emotion.  It’s so, so stupid.  I feel it too, but objectively it’s never brought anything of value, and I know better than to let it rule my life.

SimplySxy: What defines a sexy man according to you?

Lily:  I’m going to refer to question 6, and then answer this for woman.

I’ve always said that my type is an energy thing.  I f**k a lot of really attractive women (porn star perks, guys, porn star perks…seriously this job is a f**king thrill ride) with a variety of looks.  I am not attracted to overweight women – I’ve always had to work hard to keep my own weight down, and it’s something I don’t like about myself, and it’s something that I just can’t cannot connect with erotically – but short of that I’m pretty open-minded.

I’ve had mind-blowing sex with women that I wouldn’t look at a picture of and be aroused by but whose energy turned me on in person.  When a girl is into me, and I can feel her desire for me, that’s hot.  Or if she’s nervous but ready, that’s hot too.  I love butches and femmes and black women and white women – as long as she’s down, and game, and likes herself and likes sex.

SimplySxy: In your opinion, what can a guy do to give a girl a mind-blowing orgasm?

Lily:  What sex means to me is rocking my partner’s world.  I’m a service top – I’ll run the show, but you’re the star.  I’ve never actually had an orgasm from masturbation, but I have had them from being so turned on by my partner’s pleasure or carried away by being connected with her.  My sexuality is just profoundly other-focused.

I don’t think that most people operate this way, but if you can channel that it goes a long way. Learn her body.  Pay attention to her.  The same moves do not work on every girl, although there is sort of a basic set of stuff to choose from.  I would say that the key to being a really good f**k is communication, both verbally and intuitively.

I have a leg up on dudes, because I know what the stuff I’m doing to her feels like.  I can put my fingers in a girl and have this sense memory of what that feels like to me.  I know her spots because I have them too.  Yet, everyone is different, and plenty of women like things I don’t like..so you can learn to understand women too.  You just need to listen to them with all five of your senses .

SimplySxy: A last message from you to all your fans and the SimplySxy readers?

Lily: I love my fans. I’m not a typical porn star, and I don’t want to be.  I’m assertive and opinionated and I don’t do bullshit and I love that my fans support me in expressing my real self.  I’m an entertainer, and an entertainer needs an audience. When people tell me that my work has affected them it means a lot to me.

Meet Meiko Askara, the new Porn Princess

SimplySxy presents its Pornography Special Feature 2014.  We are delighted to present Meiko Askara, dubbed the new Porn Princess, as the first interview in this series.  Meiko shares with us a secret to spice it up in bed and we get her opinion on the age old question, does size really matter?

Meiko Askara: First off Thank you for this wonderful opportunity and interview.  My name is Meiko and I’m a 18yr. old mixed raced Japanese/Taiwanese budding starlet who entered into the Adult industry pretty much out of High School since turning 18 back in October 2013.  I am currently a college student and grew up in Northern California living a very normal family and social life.  I’ve always wanted to be a performer in Adult film as I am a very sexual person but wasn’t sure how to go about it.  I made contact with someone who was familiar with the Adult Film industry who  was able to steer me in the right direction with their Adult industry connections.  I’m normally a very quiet person in everyday life who likes to garden and paint on my free time but a little wild in the bedroom.  My First scene was with Kink.com a famous BDSM fetish site.  It was a Hardcore Four guy Gang-Bang with double penetration and anal.  I shot with some of the Pro’s in the biz.  I shot that scene in I think in December 2013.

MG_1747SimplySxy:  Where do you feel the current direction of the adult industry is heading towards?

Meiko: The Adult industry has for the most part, for years been based on the business model for adult entertainment performers where Agents are contacted by producers of various sites and niches and our business arrangements are handled by our agents.  We could elect not to do the scene but do not have much control of the content that is being shot or the pricing structure for the various scenes in which we are being asked to perform in.  A current trend is one where the Adult Performer is in charge of his or her own destiny.  Where we determine our own pricing structure and have more control of the content of our scene based on the consumers fantasies and using our Fan’s script as the base to develop the scene to be shot.  The business is about being personal, not necessarily producing pre-scripted scenes from big production companies.  Social media such as twitter helps facilitate dialogue between performers and fans, and helps us promote our own ventures where the Fan is the director.  Such sites such as Clips For Sale and Customs4U are good examples of this business model.  Many of us are now doing webcam appearances and creating our own content and custom videos from the comfort of our own homes where there is a close symbiotic relationship between the Adult Performer and the fan directly.  Scripted content from big production companies will not be going anywhere anytime soon but there is definitely a new trend occurring in the industry for a more personalized experience for the consumer of Porn.

SimplySxy: What are some of the misconceptions people have about the adult industry?

Meiko: I guess one of the biggest misconceptions is how long a porn shoot actually takes even for a 5-10 minute scene.  Between make-up, wardrobe and the crew setting up equipment it can be an all day affair.  It’s a lot of work.  Another misconception is that just because a male or female talent does Porn, it is assumed we also do escorting on the side.  While some girls in the industry do escort on the side, most of us strictly keep our sexual encounters private or perform in a very regulated professional environment.  I might add that the industry is very regulated with mandatory 14 day STD/HIV testing and production companies will not shoot us and performers will not perform with someone who does not have a current test.  The industry as a whole is actually in some aspects safer than the one night stand that some members of the general public engages in.  The industry takes a bad rap every time an HIV scare occurs.  It becomes a media circus and all the anti-porn crusaders point to the industry as a cause of sexually transmitted diseases when the opposite is actually the case when the hard numbers and facts are actually analyzed, it will show that HIV outbreaks are actually quite rare when compared to the number of outbreaks in the general public.

unnamed-5SimplySxy: Can you share with us one funny/awkward/embarrassing moment that have happened on set?

Meiko: To be quite frank, anal scenes where the performer has not taken the proper preparatory measures can lead to an embarrassing moment where shooting needs to stop and the talent needs to “Clean Up “.  The embarrassment is minimal as everyone in the industry is very professional and when an accident does occur, it’s a brief interruption and then the scene continues.

SimplySxy: Were you nervous when you made your debut porno?

Meiko: Actually ……NO.  It came too natural for me.  Not sure if that’s a good trait. Haha

SimplySxy: Where is your favourite filming location/scene?

Meiko: I really enjoyed my first scene with kink.com.  It was a four guy hardcore gangbang.  It allowed me to test my limits in a sexual manner while being in an environment that was completely safe.  I got to shoot in a beautiful mansion in the Hills down in Southern California with some very good looking male talent.  I had a blast.
