Russian Model Ksenia Islamova

Hi Ksenia it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hello, thank you very much for having me on your platform!

My name is Ksenia, I was born in the small village in URAL region of Russia. When I was 16 years old, I left my parent’s place and started my own life in Ekaterinburg, then I became a model and moved to Moscow.

Now I’m an international model working with the best agencies all over the world and fashion designer of handmade clothing brand ERROR3. Im happy to live my life and I wouldn’t change anything if even I could)

When did you start modeling?

Well… I started to do modeling six years ago. Actually I have never planned to be a model, it accidentally happened when my first agent met me in a club, funny but it’s true. Few months later I did some tests, magazines and with my first pics, I flew to Istanbul for my first trip ever. Then it became my profession and I started to fly to different parts of the world every 2-3 months.

Do you have a beauty regime to looking so fabulous?

Thank you for the compliment!

Been a model you have to take care of yourself a lot, but I never do something crazy. I don’t have any diet or special food ration, but if I have a chance I regularly go to the gym or work out at home at least 2 times a week for 30 minutes. About skin and hair care, it’s more complicated because we do have a lot of problems with both always in make-up and hairstyles from the shootings. I normally go to a salon to do a procedure “Label Cosmetics Happiest” for the hair. And I am regularly using face creams daily and nightly, plus the vitamins zinc and calcium.

Which is your most favorite photoshoot experience?

I do have a lot of very nice shooting experience, but it depends on what we are talking about, because sometimes you are satisfied from the result and the pics, or you are enjoying the process and not even sure that you will use this material.

My favorite pics is from Australia by Josephine Clough. But my favorite job experience was in Italy when we were shooting Natuzzi campaign (furniture brand). We had a trip for five days in south of Italy, five guys from different countries (models), we were changing the locations twice a day, huge funny team (almost 100 people), the best accommodations and diners! And the views we had were just incredibly beautiful!!!

Have you had a funny photoshoot experience before?

I think the funniest thing I had was when I was bitten by a scorpion in Turkey while shooting, it was not funny that time at all, but now when I tell this story to someone I am always laughing. Because I do always have bad luck with the weather, directions, flights, visas… always, always and always. But it’s normal. Everyone who travels a lot has the same things, but to be bitten by scorpion is not something everyone has ever experienced.

If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where will it be?

I have been in many countries already, but I still have few places that I am dreaming to visit. I want a to go to Cape Town in South Africa and Brazil, Rio De Janeiro. I would love to see the nature and culture of this places, and I think it’s great for modeling as well.

Where do you usually like to party?

I’m not a party girl, but sometimes I like to have fun with my friends in the clubs, special events, open airs or music festivals.

I would like to go at least once to “Burning man” just to enjoy the atmosphere and to see all the outfits and the showpieces!

Which is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

Well, I do have a lot of funny stories about the guys who tried to know me. But most of the times it’s just an annoying thing.

Once I was getting flowers every day for few weeks and not even sure who that was… no names, no signatures on deliveries. Another time I got a silver cross from the guy who saw me for two hours in his life and said that he loved me. As soon he understood there is no chance for him, he asked for his gift back ahaha.

Few times I’ve got offers from strangers to get married.

Model life haha!

Sexy is sexy, hot, beautiful, fit. But not always people can be beautiful and sexy, beauty is in the soul, in the eyes, in the manners. Sexy is part of beauty.

What is your proudest achievement so far?

Working in TV and film is the ultimate rush for me. I have been a performer since I was a kid. I have also worked as a stunt double and done some of my own for characters I’ve played in a few horror films.

Which is the best compliment you have received?

That I have a strong work ethic and beautiful eyes.

Is acting on camera a lot harder than it looks?

Absolutely. Typical shoot days can last up to 16 hours or more. You also have to be prepared to continue the embodiment of your character take after take.

Are you more of a morning person or night owl?

I love mornings when I can enjoy a cup of coffee then going to the gym and being able to plan my day, but waking up early is always a struggle.

Do you have a sweet tooth?

Not at all. I actually love salty or sour things.

If you could have a superpower, what will it be?

Mind reading.

Funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

Funniest moment so far would be being serenaded at a bar.

Hi Rosie it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hi there! I am a 25 year old woman from West Texas. I first started Pinup modeling in 2010 but it wasn’t until this past summer that I took the big leap to begin really branding myself as a model and stylist.

What is your proudest achievement so far?

My greatest achievement professionally?! Man, I feel like so many wonderful things have happened since launching Rosie Cheeks that it’s difficult to narrow it down to a single achievement; having my photography published in a Pinup publication for the first time would have to be up there in my top five greatest achievements!

You have had an amazing career and lots of wonderful life experiences in your journey so far. How do you motivate yourself to keep exploring and touching other peoples’ lives?

In order to keep motivated I surround myself with positive influences and people I look up to professionally. I remind myself daily of my goals and why I am doing this; to make women feel beautiful and to make a difference in my community.

How is a typical day like for yourself?

I start the day with coffee and getting my daughter ready for school, then answering messages or emails, and then depending on upcoming events I usually have a pretty hefty list of projects and such to tackle. I recently launched the cover of my little hometown Pinup Publication so I have been busy with pages and editing for our January release date.

Can you tell us more about the definition of “pinup” and clarify any misconceptions you typically hear about the word?

The term “Pinup” comes from the gals shown in posters from the Mid Century, these posters were pinned up on walls and lockers etc, knowing that, Pinup to me is any woman you see as strong, courageous, beautiful, smart, fashionable, creative. She is someone anyone can look up to.

If you could describe yourself as a flavor, what will it be?

I’d like to think of myself as pineapple flavored; tangy but mostly sweet!

Is there something about the opposite sex that you just don’t get?

What’s the big deal with reading a map or asking for directions?!

What in life can you not get enough of?

Sunshine, fresh air and success.

Sexiness to me can be something as simple as the way one walks into a room or commands the attention of those around her. Sexiness is confidence in how you carry yourself. Not necessarily being scantily clad, Sexy is a state of mind.

Hello! I am from Ukraine, but live in USA.

When did you get started into modeling?

I started modeling at age 15 (I had been mini, miss my city) and blogging at 17, and now I am 22 years old .

Which is the best compliment you have received?

I received it from my childhood friend who said that I am special and that by making my own criticism of myself, I force myself to unconsciously grow and become better and that in the year that we did not see each other I became even more beautiful, smarter, more interesting and successful – to me it was very nice to hear it, because the very fact that he watched me all the time of our communication and then made an objective evaluation hooked me.

How is your fashion style like?

I would characterize my style with the following words: freedom, elegance, fashionable details, pleasant tissues to the body, romnintichnost.

What items or accessories are a must have in your wardrobe?

Necklaces, which for me serve as talismans and a large number of earrings without which I can not do without at least a day.

Do you have any hobbies?

Yoga, meditation, writing the essay (thought in the ear).

Would you rather spend a day at the beach or up in the mountains?

It depends on what the weather (from season) is, if it is, summer I prefer mountains or if it’s winter time, I prefer more beaches then mountains 😉

Funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

Perhaps this was the situation when a guy came to find out the time and then followed me for half an hour asking me this all the time and trying to get acquainted in many ways.

I believe that sexuality is displayed in our eyes, in our walk, movements, behavior and that clothes can only emphasize, and not create sexuality. Nowadays, many people confuse vulgarity with sexuality, but there is always a line between them, which every self-respecting girl must learn to feel.

My advice to the girls, if you want to look sexy, start with love for yourself and adopt the technique of coquettes from French women, which you can partly adopt to yourself through movies and books about French women.

Actress and Model Jenna Nolen

Hi Jenna it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hi, well I’m originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I lived there for most of my life but I just recently moved to Los Angeles to pursue my acting and modeling career! I am an only child, and I know what you’re thinking, “Wow that’s awesome, you must love it”, but when I was a kid I got so bored you have no idea.

Which is the best compliment you have received?

Honestly I have two. The best compliments I ever received came from two people, my aunt Bern and my Mother. My mom said to me one day, “You are so strong and you are my hero, I couldn’t have done half the stuff you have accomplished at your age, you are so brave.” That really spoke to me, especially since it came from your mother, because I’m usually the one that looks up to her, she’s such a hard working, amazing, selfless woman. Hearing her say that about me, meant the world.

My aunt Bern, man if you met her you would love her instantly. She is such a joy to the world and she really makes you proud to be who you are. She said to me “I brag about you all the time because Jen, you are just such an amazing person, you’re such an old soul and you came in my life at the right time. You’re drive, you’re love and care for people is amazing, and I love you just the way you are”. My aunt and I have gotten so close, I consider her my second mom. It’s amazing the amount of love I have in my family.

How is your beauty regime like to looking so fantastic?

Honestly I wake up and wash my face, do my hair, and look in my closet at all the nice outfits I have, then I’ll go into my dresser and pull out sweatpants and probably a t-shirt. If you see me out in public I’m probably wearing sweatpants. I only wear jeans or something nice if I’m going out to an event or with a group of friends.

I usually will put on some makeup. My favorite products honestly come from Elf , Sephora , and Nyx . I love doing my makeup with a sassy song playing in the background so I can feel on top of the world, kid you not. If you’re going to go out and slay, you got to have a song playing that fits that mood.

What is your proudest achievement so far?

Well I was in college for a semester, and I didn’t like it at all. I went through a really, really rough patch there and I just knew I needed to get out. The worst part was, I come from a family of scholars, and family who all for the most part went to college, and graduated. I didn’t want to let anyone down honestly because I was the next to attend college so I did, but not for myself, for my family to make them proud. When I was in college, acting was drifting away from me, and when I would come home from college for a weekend, I never wanted to go back because it was hell for me.

I finally made the decision to leave college and follow my dreams to pursue my acting and modeling career, and honestly at first, no one in my family was okay with it and they weren’t happy. I knew I just had to prove myself to them, so in April of 2017 I moved to California, and once they knew I was moving everyone was happy, but also concerned, but I went and by far it’s the best decision I’ve made. I’ve done so much career wise and I couldn’t be more proud of myself than I am now.

Do you have any hobbies?

I really like to play volleyball, I love playing it. I love getting together with friends and have a game on the beach or something. Also I love to paint, even though I’m not a great painter, I love painting pictures, it’s so calming and relaxing.

If you could have a super power, what will it be?

Hmmm mind reading, because you go into an audition and they’ll say “Wow you did great” but are they lying? Hahah you never know! So I would definitely want that.

How long do you think you’ll survive a zombie apocalypse?

Honestly I think I would survive a good month, mainly because I saw a lot of zombie movies and they all look like they’re dying from food, and I love food, so I give it about a month.

What turns you off on a date?

Hmm, honestly guys bragging, or talking about all the stuff they’ve done, not even in a tasteful way, because if you brag in a tasteful way, that’s fine, but when they do it because they think they’ll win you over, absolutely not. So not attractive. Also when they chew with their mouth open, I can’t, so disgusting.

Filipino Model Melanie Cortel From Arizona

Hi Melanie, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hello my name is Melanie Cortel. I’m 19 years old and I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I was born in the Philippines and I can speak full Filipino. I am an aspiring model, future fashion designer and a traveler. I started freelance modeling after high school and I’ve worked with some of the best photographers in my state. I started getting noticed on Instagram for car shows such as Hot Imports Night, Spocom, Elite tuner etc… but I would love to get into more events in the future. In my free time, I like to DIY clothes and or go out for some Pho (meatball is my all time favorite!!). My favorite TV shows growing up was Ed, Edd and Eddy and Spongebob Squarepants.

What is your proudest achievement so far?

My proudest achievement so far would be getting into car shows. I’ve always dreamed about being an import model. I’m slowly getting there but I won’t stop trying until I’m there all the way.

How will you describe a typical day for yourself?

A typical day for me would be doing my makeup, getting ready for the day to take some bomb selfies then going out to the movies or for some food.

Do you have a preferred side for taking selfies?

I don’t have a preferred side when it comes to taking pictures but if I had to choose, it would definitely be my right side.

Where can we catch you partying most of the time?

You can catch me partying at Salt every weekend 🙂

Which is the last movie you watched and was it any good?

The last thing I watched was actually a show on Netflix called Good Morning Call. I’m a huge fan of Korean/Viet/Filipino/Japanese drama and if you are too, I definitely suggest this for you! It’s my favorite show and it’s really good!!

If you could do anything in this world, what will it be?

If I could do anything in this world, it would be to bring all of my moms’ side of the family here in Arizona to live with me so they can live a better life and experience how it is to live in the US.

What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

Oh jeez! This topic takes me back to when I used to work at Hooters. It was Mother’s Day and you know I’m just working, minding my own business doin’ my thang until this guy stopped me and told me “Happy Mothers Day!” I just laughed and said “Thanks but I’m not a mom” and he goes, “Are you sure? Because you look like my baby mama”. I couldn’t stop laughing!! I must admit, it was pretty smooth haha!

Hi! Thanks for having me in this interview! I’m Indonesian and I currently live in Bali. I like to travel a lot, actually I never really lived in one city for more than 3 yrs in the past 11 yrs (but to be honest Bali is amazing!). I work full time in a 5 star hotel in Bali, I do part-time modelling in my free time, I dance, and I love pizza.

What is your secret to looking so fabulous?

Hahaha thanks! Well, if you wanna look fabulous, you should feel fabulous! It’s all in your head y’know 😉

Which is the best compliment you have received?

That I have a beautiful smile (since I feel I look weird when I smile).

How big is your shoe collection?

I wouldn’t say it’s big. I have a couple of shoes, and heels, and stuff, but I always go back to wearing the same thing, and they are mostly slippers (because who wear shoes/heels in Bali, duh, and they’re freakin’ comfortable)

Where do you usually love to shop from?

I shop from anywhere, but not online. I prefer to see, touch, and try the stuff before I purchase them.

If you could have a superpower, what will it be?

It would be the ability to fly. How amazing it is to be up in the sky, with the wind blowing your hair, and always able to skydive whenever you want haha!

What flavor would you say best describes you?

Rum.

Funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

Oh gosh this is the most hilarious for me. There was this guy, he messaged me on Instagram: “Donna, we should go to the beach together because I like you and you seem kinda cute, so nothing is gonna stop us now”. I swear I couldn’t stop laughing for like 10 mins.

Hello there Simply Sxy editorial team, readers and supporters! Thank you for having me on your Magazine. So here is some short info about me. I was born in Shangdong province in China (Tsingtao – the Chinese beer city), I moved to Australia with my family when I was very young and grew up in the North shore of Sydney. Currently I am travelling between Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra as my family is based in Sydney, my boyfriend lives and studies in Melbourne and I study visual arts and psychology at Australian National university in Canberra. Basically, I run around a lot and you can never guess where I am but hey I love travelling, can’t stay in one spot, which is why I chose modelling as my part time hobby/ job.

Is there a beauty regime you follow to looking so fabulous?

I guess my beauty regime is trying to keep at a healthy body weight, exercising and going to the gym. Make up and skin care routine plays a big part also, as I have oily skin, however I can manage that through using face masks and a range of creams. (Tea tree oil serums do wonders for unclear skin) But I must say, me looking ‘fabulous’ is mainly due to make up, I look like a typical innocent Asian girl without make up.

Which is the best compliment you have received?

I think the best compliment I have received was where I wasn’t complimented by just looks but also intelligence. I think when a person can see beauty not only as physical but also emotionally and mentally, it is like bonus points for them.

Do you believe in any superstition?

I do actually! I believe that dreams are symbolic, that it has messages and hidden warnings that we may not address when we are conscious. I’ve had some crazy weird dreams where I would go back to the same place and see the same person whom I’ve never met, and that person will leave me messages and warnings. Pretty random, ahaha. Another one is the Chinese belief that when it is my zodiac year, I need to wear a red bracelet and red undies. I’m not too sure why, but apparently it is to warn the evil spirits away.

What is the funniest thing you have witnessed or happened to you?

I am probably the clumsiest person anyone can meet. I accidentally embarrass myself quiet a lot. For example, I’ve managed to fall in front of a big viewing crowd whilst trying to give money to the street performers twice. I am also a bit un-coordinated, so I just trip on air at least once a day, it is like a daily routine now. It is like ‘oh look it’s 4pm, time to trip on air and give myself a mini heart attack!’ This happens in public and at home. Now I think about it, I don’t think I’ve ever not had some sort of injury on me before…

If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?

I would want to stop wars and conflicts, which would reduce poverty by a lot as well as that there will be less innocent people dying. I have this plan in my head that once I complete my psychology degree, I would be able to work in third world countries and volunteer to give free mental health treatment to those in need. Imagine day and night all you worry about is when your next meal is, food and water survival becomes the focus in your life, and once that is no longer an issue, they might feel stuck or confused. This when I think they need as much mental support as they can to start/continue their life, to lead them into a better life.

Which genre of movies do you enjoy most?

I really enjoy psychological thrillers as well as love tragedies. I think those are my favorite genre because they are the most memorable to me as I remember things through emotions and feelings, so the deeper the emotions I feel from the movie the more I enjoy it.

Funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

I feel like I don’t get hit on by guys that much. But I do remember there was this one time, a guy got on one knee and asked me to marry him on the night I met him… I thought he was joking but he wasn’t so that was just weird.

I don’t think there is one certain definition to define sexy. I believe that everyone is sexy, if someone finds you arousing then you are sexy. But I do also think confidence plays a big part.

International Beauty Queen & Model Shallie Abbiusi

Hi I’m super excited thanks for having me! My name is Shallie Abbiusi, I’m 24 years old, Italian blood but born and raised in Belgium. I’m a biomedical lab technician so I’m quite a nerd. On the other hand I’m an international beauty queen for my country, once in a while I go abroad to represent my nation in international pageants. In my free time I travel and I’m also signed by 4 model agencies. My passion is food and working out to compensate for the kcal! My life is quite busy but I like to live it to the fullest.

What is your proudest achievement so far?

Hmm, that’s a hard one, I have a couple achievements I’m really proud of like getting my degree with great honors, traveling a whole month by myself to China when I was only 18 to represent my country but I think I’m very proud of the fact that I lost 18kg a couple of years ago. I worked and still work very hard for my body.

Which is the best compliment you have received?

The biggest compliment I ever received is that people tell me I inspire them. I think it is a beautiful thing to inspire people with what you do. If only one person feels more confident or better because of you, well that’s just an amazing feeling.

Do you have any favorite quotes you like to use?

Live life to the fullest. I’m not really a quote person.

Where can we catch you shopping from most of the time?

A-ny-where! I love love love to shop, one of my favorites is Zara! They have a lot of classy clothing with great quality and it’s affordable.

Would you rather be able to read minds or be invisible?

Be invisible, I don’t even think I want to know half the things that are going on in people’s minds!

What flavor would you say best describes you?

I think sweet? Like a strawberry? I don’t know haha!

Is there anything you don’t get about guys?

Why they always have to play mindgames, why not be straight forward? Also I don’t get why a lot of guys feel the need to be with multiple women, the grass is not always greener on the other side and hurting people to me doesn’t seem to be fun.

Hello, I am born and raised in San Diego, California. I have been modeling for a year now. Depending on where life takes me, I tend to still finish my studies in Business while working. I enjoy the little things in life, great humor and great food.

What is your proudest achievement so far?

You can say I am not proud just yet, but I am glad to be where I am at now.

Which is the best compliment you have received?

“You’ve evolved into a rare breed of models” – John Salamat. Sorry John, I had to quote you on this because it keeps ringing in my ear. Haha.

Do you have any guilty pleasures or indulgences?

Yes, anything chocolate and shopping til I drop.

What is the funniest thing you have witnessed or happened to you?

On Tinder someone wrote on their profile “If someone asks, tell them we met at Target in the candle section.”

If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?

I would probably eliminate the use of all weapons.

Would you rather have the ability to fly or swim and breathe underwater?

Definitely the ability to fly, because I rather see all that’s out there from cities to beautiful islands.

Funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

I asked a stranger if he was dating an Asian girl (my friend) because he looked familiar, but he said “yes, is it a possibility of it being you?”

The definition of sexy to me would definitely be someone who is confident in their own skin and own style of clothing.
