    No, I don’t have. I love every food. But if I have to choose, I will choose vegetables and water.

    Yes, the moment when I get drunk. It’s really embarrassing.

    I think the appearance/outfit is really important.

    It’s difficult to choose a single favorite, but I love when people see my work as classy and elegant, but also sensual.

    How do you like to spend your free time?

    Shopping (of course), browsing Instagram, watching ASMR videos, and streaming detective shows and historical dramas. I also like crafting and taking nature photos.

    If you could drop everything and go on a road trip, where will it be?

    Probably somewhere close. I don’t like being in the car for long trips. But I’d love to be able to take an extended trip to see my Mom in Knoxville, TN. Maybe I could even shoot with a few photographers there, too.

    Is there a food or drink you can’t live without?

    I really love rooibos tea! Also baked chicken wings.

    How long would you survive a zombie apocalypse?

    Probably not long. I’m not a big zombie aficionado though, so I really don’t have much to base that on.

    Do you have a preferred side to taking selfies?

    I don’t have a preferred side based on my features, but I do mainly photograph certain angles because I only have one window I can use and it’s in a corner so I tend to face the direction that gets the light I like the most. Plus, I do best holding my phone in my right hand.

    What can a guy do to turn you off?

    Be disrespectful. I’m pretty easy going and I like to give people a chance, but I don’t tolerate people who can’t be respectful.

    I think sexy is very much in the mind of the beholder. I actually don’t use the word “sexy” to describe myself very often because it feels too strong. I like “sensual” or “sensuous” better because they feel softer and more subtle to me. I suppose it’s close to the same thing though. I think it has to do with being open and intimate, creating a connection that people find attractive. I’m actually not very good at defining words like that. But there you go!

    How will you describe a typical day like for yourself?

    I wake up every day at 6am and I tidy up my home. Then I watch the sunrise. I think it’s fascinating and I am preparing mentally for the day ahead. I always have my coffee and check my social media and mails. My schedule is not the same every day. I can go to University or study or workout or have a shoot.

    Which is your most memorable travel experience?

    It is difficult to tell you. I have something to remember from each trip, either it’s good or bad. I believe it is nice to be experienced and being able to handle different situations.

    Sweet for sure.

    What turns you off on a date?

    Being rude to me or gossiping about other people.

    Hello, this is NiShi. I am a cosplay lover from China, but now living in the California Bay Area. It is a pleasure to be featured and get this chance to share something about me. I create cosplay works or photos for fun, and it is my biggest hobby. I hope you will love what I do.

    When and how did you get started into cosplaying?

    Nice question hahah. I learned about cosplay in 2010. I was following a TV talk show and they featured some cosplayers from a University club in one of their episodes. I was addicted to anime back then, so I decided I wanted to cosplay too. Then I told some of my besties and we formed a little cosplay group. But that was just little kids having fun, we had like only two cosplays in a year LOL. Then I took a rest from it for a couple of years. And I picked it back up in 2014.

    What do you love about cosplay?

    Many things! This question took me a lot of time to think…hahah.

    Well, first all I like anime, so I want to be the characters I love. And it feels amazing when I perform as someone else. Then I really enjoy the whole process of delivering the characters’ personality and my own analysis of her/him. Because it is easy but also hard to deliver emotions through the screen; it is easy because we can do makeup, lighting, composition, and photoshop; it is hard because emotion is so vague, and the screen is just way too small for heart-touching.

    We must put work into it, so that we can be the best we can; and when we achieve a higher level of delivery, I feel SOOO GOOOOOODD! Being able to deliver my thoughts through cosplay is one of the biggest reasons why I love it. But also, I made so many friends through cosplay, and my most contacted friends are all cosplayers. I’m not sure if I worded all these right, because it so much more than this… I hope when people get to know my works, they can feel how I enjoy cosplaying.

    Which characters have you enjoyed cosplaying most?

    I would say Mashu Kyrielight from Fate, because she’s my best waifu hahaha. But I don’t have many finished shoots with her, because I want to make sure I do her justice haha. Also, Nero from Fate, Honoka from LoveLive are my favorite too. I like them by their characteristics.

    Is there something you’ve always wanted to learn but haven’t found the time?

    High level photoshop!! Because there are many things that happens in fiction, but hard to accomplish in real life, like breathing fire, strike lighting, etc. If I can do some magical photoshop, my cosplay works would get to a new level. And, how to be a game master, cause I suck LoL.

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?

    12. Very very very foodie. That’s why I always suffer in losing weight.

    If you could time travel, where will you go?

    Ehhhh… No where! I’m satisfied with what I live in now. There are things I don’t like and wish I could have changed it. But there are more things I love, and you never know if you get to keep those if you mess up the past. And there will not be a perfect solution. So, I enjoy right now.

    Which is a funny or lame attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    It was funny, lame, but a little creepy. We were in a science lab class and assigned to the same group. The guy just straight up went, are you looking for a romance relationship? I was so shocked. It was during class, everyone else is doing experiments, and that was the first sentence he talked in that class period. It was the only time I got picked up.

    It can be defined in many ways. You are sexy, when you are confident of yourself. I guess people think an attractive person or object is sexy. But people can be attracted in many ways, by the appearance, personality, creativity, etc. So sexy can be found everywhere.

    When did you get started into modelling?

    I started modelling when I turned 18. At first, it was beauty pageants, competitions, talent shows and modelling courses in my home country, Malta. I was chosen to represent my hometown of Mosta in Miss Malta, as Miss Mosta in 2007. Modelling helped me improve my confidence and self-esteem. Soon after, I graduated from University in BSc. Radiography (Hons). I moved to London and I started getting published in international magazines and newspapers.

    How is the experience on Playboy and working with them?

    The Playboy photoshoot was in Toronto. I had an early wake-up call at my hotel room, where the Playboy make-up artist and hairdresser arrived at 8am. After we got ready, I was driven to the location of the shoot, where we met the Playboy photographer, the crew of Naked News Channel and assistants. The photoshoot was a lot of fun and all the crew were very professional, energetic and respectful. The photoshoot and interview lasted about 3 hours, and I loved every minute.

    Is acting more difficult than modelling?

    Yes, in my opinion acting requires much more preparation and concentration. Acting, depending on the role is not always about looking beautiful and accentuating curves.

    Firstly, the scenes and character needs to be studied properly. I usually take a lot of notes and visualise becoming that person. I ask myself… how would I react if this particular situation happened to me? Then I rehearse and take lots of videos. When I’m happy with all the line memorisation, deliverance and facial expressions, then I am ready to audition.

    Even when I am on set and we are filming the actual movie or series, several takes are done to make sure the director has enough material to choose from.

    What is a memorable experience in acting or modelling you have to share?

    There are quite a few memorable experiences. One is meeting and talking with Dave Bautista on set of Final Score. Another great experience was working with director Juliet Landau (Drusilla from Buffy The Vampire Slayer), on set of The Undead series.

    I also had a lot of fun shooting City of Spies in Austria. Last but not least, a very funny experience on set was on Red Army Hooligans, when I was playing the role of Russian mafia girl and I kicked a rival Englishman actor in his balls.

    Do you have any hobbies and interests?

    I love travelling to tropical locations. My favourite spots so far are Sri Lanka and Thailand. I love exploring, hiking, swimming and rambling in remote areas. I love spending time at the jungle and the beach.

    I also love reading, mostly self-motivational, transformational and spiritual books. I also like to spend time with animals, always making sure I go to places where animals are treated properly and not exploited. As a vegetarian, I believe I have to be the voice for our sisters and brothers.

    On a scale of 1-10 how much of a party animal are you?

    Let’s go with 6. I don’t party on a regular basis anymore. I have been focused on my career these past few years, and I believe hangovers and long nights out wastes my time and puts me back towards accomplishing my goals. I used to be a party animal till about 4 years ago.

    I am still a fun-loving person and I do like to party occasionally. With me, a drink or two can light up a fuse; in other words, once I pop, I can’t stop so I have learnt to control myself.

    The last time I partied was in Bangkok with ladyboys. I ended up showing them how to twerk and work the pole.

    What is the funniest or awkward attempt a guy has tried on you?

    The most awkward attempts happen at the gym when I’m training hard, almost at the brink of being nauseous from high intensity training. I was running on the treadmill at 10km/hr once, when a guy jumped on the treadmill next to me and tried to shake my hand while introducing himself.

    How do you define “sexy”?

    Sexy is being comfortable with your body and just being yourself. You cannot learn how to be ‘sexy’, you either are sexy or you are not. You can make yourself ‘look’ sexy with clothes, makeup etc…but sexy is much more. It could be the look in your eyes, the voice, your deliverance, your accent, your character, the way you walk etc…

    Which is your favorite type of food?

    As I am a Hong Konger, Dim Sum is one of my favorite foods. That is a traditional food in Hong Kong. I like Xia Jiao and Shao Mai the most. On the other side, Japanese food is also my favorite food. I like eating sushi and ramen. It is really tasty and delicious.

    What is your fashion style like?

    I like the Japanese fashion style, especially the Tokyo Style. I think Tokyo Style is very popular and trendy in Japan and also in Asia. When I wear the Tokyo Style, I would likely to be a beautiful and cute girl, that’s called ‘kawaii’.

    If you can learn anything in this world, what will it be?

    Maybe I would like to learn every language used in the world, so that I can at a closer distance with everyone, who comes from different countries. And also can help reduce the gap between people.

    Where is your dream holiday destination?

    I like travelling so much, I like enjoying the time on the beach with the grateful sunshine. That must be Hawaii but not the others!

    In fact, I don’t ever want to choose both of them. I am enjoying living naturally through the  God’s will, and am glad to face this mysterious future.

    I’ve always been told I should model, but I did it to be more confident and comfortable with myself. And I wanted to try something new.

    Do you have a preferred genre to model?

    I don’t have a specific genre, but I love creating ideas with the photographers that I work with. Every picture I try to create a feeling and a meaning.

    Which is your most challenging photoshoot experience so far?

    Honestly, every photoshoot I do is challenging. Why? Because I give every single shoot my all. I want to show and be the best I can be. However, when I first started, it was definitely challenging to start as a rookie.

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?

    Does staying home and blasting the radio while dancing with your dog count? Lol I‘d say a solid 3. Not much of a party animal, but I do love music and love to dance.

    Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t had the time?

    Definitely travel. I would like to see a whole another world.

    Are you more of a lingerie or bikini babe?

    I love both, but lingerie is my thing. Something about lace…

    What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    Not that I can recall at the moment, but there has been some funny/weird snaps. LOL.

    Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Ashley. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”? 

    Sexy to me, is laughter, energy, and knowing exactly what you want. Energy is contagious; being able to joke and dance around is always a fun time. Knowing exactly in whom you want and staying loyal in today’s dating world is a plus ;).
