I’m from beautiful country Japan! Nice to meet you! I was a professional volleyball player for four years. But I had pain in my hip so I quit. Unfortunately I had no choice. After I quit it I decided to learned English for two years at a college. I lived in Hawaii for four months to improve my English skills after I graduated from the college. It was a really nice experience, not only for learning English.
I have coached some volleyball teams since I came back to Japan. One day, my friend recommended me to join a beauty pageant called MISS HOPE JAPAN 2016. And I came in 1st runner up. After the competition, I started to model. It was not easy to be a professional model. But I really love my job now!
I joined MISS MODEL OF THE WORLD 2018 in China at the end of last year. It changed my life obviously. I felt I was in a dream during the time. I could talk with a lot of girls who are all from different countries. The most happiest thing is being friends all girls. Now I speak to students about having DREAMS living with HOPE and LOVING yourself. My next dream and goal is walk the runway in Milan Paris and NY. My biggest goal in my life is living other country!! Thank you.
When did you get started into modeling?
Five years ago.
How strict of a beauty regime do you follow to look so good?
I do yoga and stretch about 45 minutes every morning and night. I’ve been doing it for 12 years so far. I can not skip it. It’s my routine.
I can meditate and talk with my body.
Can you describe your fashion style?
Womanly × cool and of course sexy.
What have you always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?
I would like to have a ‘nothing to do day’. I mean, I am always doing something…haha. Hopefully I can go to a place with nature once a week.
If you can have a super power, what will it be?
Super power is to speak all languages. I would like to know all the cultures as long as possible and make people happier with my smile all over the world.
Is there any food or drink you can’t live without?
I do love to eat!!
Food: vegetable, salmon!
Drink: PURE water, white wine
What is an ideal first date for you?
I prefer morning dates! Running and working out together, walking in the park.
Then having breakfast.
But if it’s not for a first date? haha
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Miho. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Beautiful lips, eyes, hair, chest, hips, legs, woman muscles… All things you have can make one sexy. How to do it? Love yourself and treat yourself well. Sexy = Finding your most beauty.
I will go to Milan and Paris to get a modeling job at the end of the year. If any agency is interested to have me, please send an email!! (miho18yuuna18@gmail.com)
I’m from Northeastern Pennsylvania, and for those of you who are big Office fans, I was born in Scranton. I’m a senior at UC Berkeley and I intend to go to law school after I graduate in 2020 in order to work in Public Law. I also am a state certified Rape Crisis Counselor working with a non-profit called SFWAR.
How will you describe your fashion style?
Honestly, I don’t have too much time to devote to fashion right now so I would default and say ‘athleisure’. However, when I have the time, I love matching sets. I am obsessed with things that fit perfectly together.
Are there any fashion accessories you can’t live without?
I love expensive bags. You can definitely find some Chanel and Prada in my closet. It is definitely my most costly obsession besides espresso.
What is the best compliment you have received?
I recently had a friend tell me what a hard-working ally I am, and that meant the world to me. Having others know how hard I will work, and am currently working, to make the world a better place for queer, POC is my biggest joy in life. Working with non-profits like Oasis for Girls and SFWAR, as well as organizing Bay Area Womxn’s Photography Meetups, brings me so much happiness. Empowering and showcasing all of the amazing women that I have been lucky enough to meet has been such an honor.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?
This answer will disappoint you, but probably a 3 on my wildest of nights. I like to go to a nice bar, have a glass of wine, and go home to my partner. I love drinking with my friends and catching up, but the party scene has never been my favorite. Even at a school, like Berkeley, that has such a huge party culture.
If you could meet with anyone past or present, who will it be?
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Hands down. That woman is 86 years old and still goes to the gym so she can stay fit enough to fight for our rights. Her story and her resolve inspire me immensely. She is exactly the type of bold I aspire to be.
Do you have any hobbies or interests?
Besides spending time with my love and my friends, I love to be at the gym. I weight lift at least four times a week and have been doing so since my senior of high school. I was on the recreational Olympic weightlifting team here at Berkeley and continue to chase those gains. I also play three instruments and sing.
What turns you off on a date?
Oh god, I have spent the last three years single and could write a book on this. Having dated both men and women I think the answer can be summed up as: be kind and respectful to all people you date should they offer you the same. Whether or not it works out, be honest about where you’re at and your intentions with them. Folks who cannot communicate for whatever reason and folks who like to waste my time are my biggest turn-offs.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Rhiannon. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexy is a state of mind. Loving who you are and knowing that you deserve the world are the two things that we all should be showing off.
My proudest achievement so far would be moving out to the west coast by myself and creating a life here.
Do you have any favorite quotes you like to use in life?
The secret of getting ahead is getting started.
How will you describe a typical day like for yourself?
I chug a bottle of water as soon as I wake up (hydration is important!). I do my skincare routine (6-10 steps depending on what my skin needs). Then I make coffee, take my vitamins, walk my dogs, work out, run errands, work from home, right before I go to bed I do my 10 step skincare routine, sleep, repeat.
Are there any hobbies or interests you are into?
I’m really into beauty and skincare. I’m currently considering going to esthetician school.
What have you always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?
Go skiing.
If you could time travel, where will you go and like to experience or witness?
Go to the future and witness things being a lot cooler than they are now.
What turns you off on a date?
Going dutch.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Kitty. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexy is a state of mind. To put it simply: it’s confidence.

Yes, I always thought it was fun and interesting to transform into so many different people for roles and portray so many different looks and ideas in modeling.

All of the shoots I’ve been on always leave a lasting memory because they’re all so fun and everyone I’ve worked with has made an imprint in my memory.

I always love a destination shoot, I went up to Byron Bay and shot with a really cute kombi one time that was pretty fun.

All about balance.

I’ve always wanted to learn a second language. I also want to volunteer at an animal sanctuary overseas.
Which flavor best describes you?
Maybe a mango because I’m usually golden and sweet lol.
What is a funny or lame attempt a guy has tried to know you?
Ahh I’m not too sure exactly, but I feel some guys get the wrong impression as I come across as quite nice and friendly but they seem to take it the wrong way…
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Casey. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexy is being comfortable in your own skin and knowing who you are as a person.
My proudest achievement would definitely be buying and training up my horse Allegro! I’ve had her for over 4 years now. When I bought her I knew nothing about horses, I just really wanted one!! I taught myself how to ride and now work full time educating and breaking in horses!
What inspired you to be a model?
My inspirations definitely come from my icons and roll models. Although most of my roll models had or have a lot of flaws, I feel like that’s what I have in common with them! Marilyn Monroe is for sure one of my biggest inspos!
Which is your most memorable photoshoot or modeling experience?
My most memorable photoshoot would have to be shooting with an American photographer in Bali! The black sand and the lux feel was just something very special! In saying so, there have been so many amazing shoots I absolutely enjoy them all!!!
How will you describe a typical day like for yourself?
Not glamorous at all!!!!!
Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?
Honestly I can’t say that there is something that I haven’t done that haven’t had the time for as when an opportunity comes along and is worth it I will always take it!! I do have minor regrets not going to Maxim Magazines Super Bowl Party though. I was invited to go but the weather over there was -40 degrees and over here in Aus it was around 40 degrees and summer time so I didn’t go because I don’t like the cold!!!
If you could time travel, where will you go and like to experience or witness?
I would go back to the 1920’s. I feel like I would be the ultimate gangster. I know that kinda sounds really bad but I’ve always been super obsessed with that point in history! I would love to go back and be just a bad ass chick and rock the best fur, red lip and pearls!
What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?
Omg there has been quite a few whack jobs but I can honestly say when a guy got my number and wouldn’t stop messaging me. I blocked the number and he somehow messaged me off different numbers, one of them was 911 (which I found quite hilarious).
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Grace. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
I would definitely sexy as someone who has a lot of confidence and personality! They would have to be an absolute laugh as nothing is more attractive than humour!
I am a Brazilian, Toronto based freelance model. I am really into fitness and physical health; I love to try new things and go on adventures. I’m also really interested in cooking and all the different cultural food. I have a huge passion for the equestrian sport and horses.
What got you started into modeling?
I was always into modelling. When I was younger my mom took me all over to casting and shoots. Unfortunately, I did have to stop, and after my mother passed away I slowly got back into modelling.
Which genre of modeling do you prefer most?
Anything creative!
Do you follow a strict beauty regime to look so amazing?
Exercise, exercise, exercise! Every night I use hydrating serums and vitamin C.
Have you had a memorable modeling or photoshoot experience to share?
One of the most memorable shoots I’ve done was probably the one I did with a great friend of mine Vi Pa (@project.vi) with a horse. I absolutely love horses and it was so much fun incorporating my two biggest passions together.
If you can have a super power, what will it be?
I guess my super power would be the ability to read minds.
How do you usually like to spend your weekends?
Either I’ll be hanging out with my friends on an adventure somewhere or watching Family Guy with my boyfriend.
What is a funny or awkward attempt a guy has tried to know you?
Can’t really say, I’ve had so many weird ways guys have tried to talk to me or get to know me. Probably the most awkward was this one time at Starbucks. He asked the barista to write a message on my drink and me without noticing, walked right past him not knowing there was anything on my drink and he had to follow me out and told me to read it, I had to politely tell him I have a boyfriend. He followed me all the way to my car and went out of his way to get me to notice the message.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Sarha. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Confidence in yourself. We are all sexy but you just have to believe it.
Hello world! I am a 24 year old creative, Chemical Engineer by training, a photographer, and up-and-coming model. I was born in Stockbridge, raised in Riverdale, and lived in College Park. I graduated from Tuskegee University with my Bachelors, and I walked in my first runway show this year during Los Angeles (LA) Fashion Week in an event.
How did you get started into modeling?
I was one of those super excited girls who waited at the TV each week to watch America’s Next Model. I was highly disappointed when I never heard back from any agencies I had applied to, but had hope that one day I would be able to follow my dream of being a high-fashion model.
I got into photography because I had eye for the beauty in the world. I got back into modeling by doing numerous self-portraits and creative photoshoots on my own. Now that I am in LA, I have been working a lot more with other photographers and designers as collaborations while I seek representation.
Which is a memorable photoshoot experience you have had so far?
One memorable photoshoot experience was when I entered the Miss Black & Gold Scholarship Pageant at Tuskegee University. I had never done a beauty or scholarship pageant. My neck and shoulders were covered in gold paint, there were several other gorgeous, bright contestants, and I knew my competition was fierce.
I ended up, however winning first runner up and my photos are still in my portfolio today because they came out great! It was different, it was fun, and it felt great to know that I challenged myself and the outcome was rewarding.
Does being a model make taking photos easier for you?
I would not say that modeling helps me take better photos. I would say the opposite. My training and experience in photography, learning other’s angles and learning “the ways of the sun” has made the most impact on how I model, the poses I strike and the way I tilt my head in the slightest angle to capture the light
What is a common misconception about photography you usually hear?
“Everyone can be/is a photographer.” I hear this all the time and I cannot help but be completely irritated by that statement. Everyone cannot strategically adjust the ISO and f-stop according to the lighting in the air. Not many people know when to adjust the temperature on a photo to emphasize the sunset in the background; and though, everyone could just buy an iPhone, you have to carefully use portrait mode to focus in on the subject and adjust the exposure so the photos aren’t just as dark as they are clear.
Is there something you’ve always wanted to do or learn but haven’t had the time?
I have always wanted to learn how to edit music and film. I had small class projects where I would dabble in iMovie, but I want to learn from the greats and see my ideas for movies and short films to fruition.
Do you have any advice for someone looking to get started into modeling?
I would say, “have somewhat tough skin.” You cannot be completely numb to rejection. You need to feel what they are saying, and feel rejection so it pushes you to work harder. As a beginner in the field, I would also suggest being multidisciplinary. Work hard on your craft, but do not be afraid to socialize with actors, directors, choreographers, etc. More people need models than you think!
What turns you off on a date?
On a date, anytime a guy prematurely brings up intimate conversations about my sex-life or his, I am instantly turned off.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Kai. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
I define SEXY as confident, composed, curious and captivating. I do not define such a sensual word as something as shallow as a “hot body.” I think of it more as “what are your assets?” “what makes you absolutely, unapologetically unique?”
Some of you may know me as ‘Sammie Hsachiko’, Sammie is indeed my REAL name, however ‘Hsachiko’ (pronounce as ‘Sa-chi-ko) ISN’T!
So, to clear your confusion about my nationality and race, I am 100% Malaysian born and raised in Kuala Lumpur. I speak a variety of languages. I am fluent in Mandarin, English, Malay and Cantonese. I also speak a little Japanese as well!
The name ‘Hsachiko’ was created when I started cosplaying because I thought it would be kinda cool to have a Japanese name as most of the cosplayers have them! It is also rather catchy to remember my name.
But I didn’t just create this name without a good reason behind it.
The name ‘Hsachiko’, if you read them in Chinese characters ‘幸子’ (pronounced as ‘Xing Zi’) it means I am my family’s child because my Chinese family name is written as ‘幸’ and ‘子’ means ‘child’ in Chinese; whereas if you read it in Japanese characters ‘幸子’ (pronounce as ‘Sa-chi-ko), it means ‘a blessed child’, which they are both fairly true about me and hence this name has a special meaning to me.

As for work, I am a master of ceremonies (commonly known as emcee), TV host, and occasionally, a model! On top of that, I am also a law graduate from Queen’s University Belfast of class 2016, now a part-time student pursuing my Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP). And yes, I know what you are thinking.
A hot lawyer is in the making!
How did you get started into being an emcee?
Speaking in front of the crowd has been natural for me since high school for being the Champion team in English Debating, and the President for English Elocution Club. Perhaps gathering the attention in a room for my gifted model height was rather easy, but that was not enough. I discovered my passion for the stage and interacting with people as I was trained to host all kind of school events, and it had further aspired me to make it as one of my profession.
It has been a long six years for me to continue striving to become a professional emcee. I really love my job as I get to meet new people and I feel fulfilled seeing people enjoy the event with my energetic input!

How did you get started into modeling and cosplaying?
It was a slow progress where I started out as a commercial talent back in 2016 after graduating from Uni (notable previous works including Chacheer Kuaci Malaysia and Masarata Eyewear), and as a photography workshop model if I am not hosting for events.

My modeling career only really started blooming since 2017 onwards. It was sort of by coincidence where I was asked to attend a casting for F1 Grid Girls, I was lucky to be selected and then BOOM! Suddenly I am exposed to so many job opportunities that I had never thought of. From there on, I started working more frequently as a car ambassador for several brands including Volkswagen, Jaguar and Land Rover, BMW, Lexus and etc. I then worked as a Race Queen for several races and major motorsports events in Malaysia and India, including the G2E Expo in Macau. It was quite a spectacular journey as I looked back.

I started cosplaying only after earning my first pot of gold from my jobs. Cosplaying is an expensive hobby and it had been a dream for me since Japanese animes and games are a huge part of my life.
I don’t treat it as an occupation because it is more like a hobby for me to attend cosplay events in my favourite character’s skin!

What hobbies and interests do you have?
Other than watching animes…… Once a gamer forever a gamer! I still love playing arcade games (like Mai Mai or some shooting games) or VR-games like The Rift and computer games like Overwatch. Although I play games way lesser now due to my work schedules, my current new favourite hobby is working out in the gym alone. It is definitely a healthier lifestyle and it gives me that ‘me-time’ to focus on my goals and just being myself without needing to look excellent in make ups and a perfect hairdo.
Soraka Star Guardian from League of Legends, Photo by Vince Khoo
What is your beauty regime like to look so beautiful?
I hardly get to sleep eight hours per day, so I try to compensate with my diets, by having power naps, regular facial and hair treatments, and going to the gym.
As for my diet, I try to avoid eating processed food, fast food, deep-fried food or very oily food, keeping it as clean as I can by making my own steamed food everyday.
I appreciate the natural taste of every food and it does help making my body feel lighter for workouts and my hectic working schedule.
If I don’t have time to go for treatments, I will do masks at home.
Normally in my weekly routine, I visit the gym thrice a week for an hour and do deep pore cleansing masks and hydrating masks every two days.
And choosing the right make up techniques will enhance my features a lot!

Which is the best compliment you have received?
I really appreciate compliments that are regarding to my work or things I do.
Words like ‘You are so inspiring’, ‘I want to be as awesome as you’, ‘I love your work’, ‘I love your energy and things you share it keeps me going’, are reasons why I keep my principles, continue doing my thing and hold on to the lifestyle I lived.
The best compliment so far was I had a follower tell me in a private message: ‘Thank you for reminding us what life is about and meant to be.”
I am not perfect but I am happy if I can be someone’s motivation or support in this cruel reality. It’s all about making a difference in someone’s life.
If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?
Hmmmm, I think I would pick up some martial arts because it’d be cool and it is good to learn self defence.

What is an ideal date to you?
An ideal date should always come with good food, good companion and a good listener. I enjoy deep talks and intellectual conversations. Let’s talk about the universe.
What is a funny or lame attempt a guy has tried to know you?
People who message me just the word ‘hi’ and say nothing else. Seriously, at least start a proper conversation if you really wanna know me. Haha.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Sammie. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Someone who is comfortable in their own skin.
