    Hey I am Frances. I am Singapore based and currently a full time undergraduate student in NUS Physics Department.     What do you enjoy about modeling?

    That’s a fun question! I always wanted to show my unique fashion style to others and my friends also supported (or persuaded) me to do modeling!! However I know that I need to put in extra effort into the job, like keep a gym routine to stay slim! That is also a part that I like because I can become a better self through modeling 😉

    Which is a memorable photoshoot experience you had before?

    The most unique experience was my night shoot on Sentosa island! My friend was really a skilled photographer and he brought a whole lot of equipments along. I did a Japanese Yukata photo shoot there and the effect turned out to be amazing, if only I was slimmer that time (LOL)

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?

    Around 2 I guess?? I much more prefer drinking with my close friends in a quiet place (and I’m VERY picky in music!!). However in times of need I can attend parties also!

    How do you like to spend your weekends?

    I love playing classical piano and I like to drill my skills during the weekends. Also I go for swimming and photoshoots during the weekend!!

    If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?

    I would still continue what I am learning right now, which I am going to pursue quantum technology and artificial intelligence in my later years of studies in University. I feel lucky that I am doing just what I love.

    Which flavor best describes you?

    Bitter sweet like Black Russian or vanilla cold brew!! I believe that despite I look like some dressy Japanese girl, there is also great depth in my personality and I promise you’ll never get tired of it!!

    What is a funny or lame attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    Frances: Me:”I got 7th place in Singapore for some maths competition!”

    That guy:”Woahhhh that is so hot!”

    Haha. I don’t know, it was the first time I got complimented this way 😏

    Brainy is the new sexy!! At least that’s what I hope as a physics girl HAHAHA. But I do think that sexy people must have rich personality well, it’s either knowledge or intelligence (in any form!), because that is what attracts other people. I find Irene Idler and Bond’s girl in Casino Royale most sexy and that is the kind of woman I want to be!!

    Hi! Everyone, before starting, I want to thank SimplySxy for having me here. I am Aiko Mei Ying, a girl who loves to do photo shooting, travel, eat and help someone make up and dress up. Actually “Aiko” is my nick name and ‘Mei Ying ’is my real name. haha ~ I’m 100% from Malaysia, Pahang but now stay in KL.

    How did your interest in being a makeup artist start?

    Em ~ I think it’s my secondary school that I started to love helping my two younger sisters dress up for them to look pretty when attending dinner / travel / Chinese New Year ~ hahaha ~ my pitiful sisters were like a doll to me. When I graduated from secondary school, I started my professional make up course.

    Which is your most memorable photoshoot or modeling experience?

    So far, I think the lingerie photo shoot and the gentlewomen was the most memorable and it was my biggest break. Because I always took the sweet route, and then the photographer asked me to change the style. Besides that, I also enjoy cat-walking on stage. I remember that my first time catwalking, and almost fell down on the stage because my shoes were too high. But thank god everything went well. I’m also grateful to my expensive people for giving me many chances to try.

    Do you have any favorite quotes or mottos you like to use in life?

    Complain less, be grateful more. Attitude is very important, when you have the right mindset, all the good things will be attracted to you.

    What is your exercise and beauty regime like to look so gorgeous?

    Hahaha ~ I’m lazy to exercise, my exercise maybe is walking / shopping ~ haha ~ yea ~ I love to cycle and dance. Most of my diet is nutrition, to control my body. And my beauty regime is hydrating and it’s more important. My skin care product is very simple: cleanser with make up removal ↣toner ↣serum / essence that’s all.

    Then, a make up can let all girls become a goddess! Finally, having good living habits are also very important like sleeping early before 12am, drinking more water, and being happy every day.

    Would you rather have the ability to be invisible or teleport?

    I more rather teleport because I can go anywhere any more ~ wahahaha ~ No need for transportation and wasting time (imagination).

    How do you like to spend your free time?

    Singing, practicing make up and hair do, photo shooting, reading a book, cleaning the house.

    What is a lame or funny attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    Er ~~ I forgot because I have been in a relationship for around five years ~

    My fashion style? I like to dress according to my mood but I’m more into street wear style and sometimes sexy fashion style, and I love wearing slip dresses and wearing it with stiletto heels or boots.

    It’s a must to bring my black sunglasses everywhere I go!

    I wish I can read people’s minds. I think it would just be an awesome feeling to know what everyone’s thinking.

    Which is your travel destination?

    I always wanted to go to Rome! One of the main reasons I want to go there is to visit their museums especially the famous Colosseum.

    Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?

    Yes of course! I remembered waving at a stranger thinking it’s my friend. She gave me the weird impression. It was an awkward moment for me.

    What turns you off on a date?

    Honestly what turns me off on a date is not talking. If my date goes radio silent, that date is effectively dead. Another thing that turns me off is bragging. It’s supposed to be a chance to get to know the other person better instead of showing off.

    Honestly, what defines ‘sexy’ is not just how you look or wear but it’s more about the personality. For me what defines sexy is to have great personality and attitude. What is sexy to me? It’s having a great sense of humour. A great sense of humour is able to take things lightly and laugh at oneself and life situations, in effect making people comfortable in what could be unpleasant or uncomfortable moments.

    Second is confidence not conceited. No one likes anyone who is full of themselves. Be kind to others and animals as well. Respect and appreciate people and don’t forget to always be humble in life. Maturity is needed. I also think intelligence defines ‘sexy’ , it is to have knowledge and a good amount of mental ability.

    I’m a 28 year old full time SAHM and part time model based in Boise, Idaho. I’m also a pageant veteran; I’ve been competing in pageants for over ten years and it’s something I absolutely love.

    What is your fashion style like?

    It really depends on the day and my mood. Some days I’m “hobo-chic”, other days I’m sexy-sophisticated. Most days I’m laid-back and comfy.

    Which is your proudest achievement so far?

    I have two!

    Being a good mom. I thought I never wanted kids and when I was pregnant, I thought I’d be a bad mom. Turns out, I feel like I’m truly good at it! The proudest achievement is that I’ve raised a happy, kind, intelligent, social three year so far and she’s my little bestie.

    The second would be walking in Miami Swim Week! I’ve loved modeling and have wanted to model since I was a child. Finally these crazy dreams are turning into reality!

    How do you like to spend your free time?

    I don’t usually have a lot of free time, but when I do, I like to spend it unplanned. I enjoy eating lunch on a patio, with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Binging a new Netflix series. On occasion I’ll shop till I drop!

    Is there something you can’t get enough of in life?

    Sleep! One of my fantasies is to take a weekend to myself at a hotel, sleep as much as I want, order room service, and sleep more!

    Where have you always wanted to travel to but have yet to find the time for it?

    I adore traveling! I’ve been all over the United States and I’ve been to six countries. If I could choose anywhere to go at this moment, it would be somewhere tropical. Maybe Fiji or Bora Bora. I want to visit Egypt, Thailand, Brazil, South Africa, and France…literally everywhere!

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?

    Again, it totally depends on my mood! I can be a -2 or I can be a 12. I’d say on average, I’m a 3. Partying doesn’t entice me anymore. I’d rather spend $1000 on fine dining than a club.

    What flavor best describes you?

    Pistachio. If you’ve never tried it, you might be a little apprehensive. But if you try it and enjoy it, you can’t get enough! On the other hand, it’s not a flavor for everyone, haha.

    What is your fashion style like and where do you usually shop from?

    My style, outfit changes with the seasons! But normally I prefer outfits that go with classy, simple, and elegant. I usually shop at Zara, Miss Selfridge, Warehouse & Reformation.

    Do you have any favorite quote or mottos you like to use in life?

    There’s a lot of quotes that motivate me, but if I have to choose one of the best ones, still I will say, cherish what you have today and the biggest rewards in life are found outside your comfort zone. Live with it. Fear and risk are prerequisites if you want to enjoy a life of success and adventure! ‘Be kind & be loved’

    How do you like to spend your weekends and free time?

    I spent most of my free time eating. I LOVE to go on food trip. Especially high tea on my free times!

    Is there any food or drink you can’t live without?

    YES! Definitely can’t live without steamboat, especially steamboat sauces!!

    If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?

    Surfing!! I love to watch surfers surf on the beach.. It looks so much fun and challenging.

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?

    I think 8? Cause normally I don’t party, but I drink a lot when I’m partying. YAY!

    What is the funniest or most awkward attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    One guy actually waited outside my house for two days..

    I would say my proudest achievement was getting accepted into the University of Washington. I’m currently studying prelaw and will be graduating next year.

    Do you have any favorite quotes you like to use in life?

    “Your competition isn’t other people. Your competition is your procrastination. Your ego. The unhealthy food you’re consuming. The knowledge you neglect. The negative behavior you’re nurturing and your lack of creativity. Compete against that.”

    How will you describe a typical day like for yourself?

    A typical day would involve waking up, going to the gym, classes, then work. On the weekends I’ll typically do a photo shoot.

    Are there any hobbies or interests you are into?

    I love to travel when I have the time. I’ve recently been to Paris, France and hope to travel to Sydney, Australia next. I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, tennis, modeling, and photography.

    What have you always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?

    I’ve always wanted to live in LA for a while. I haven’t found the time because of school and work.

    If you could time travel, where will you go and like to experience or witness?

    If I could time travel I would want to travel to the future. It’d be interesting to see how we’re doing with things like: global warming, technology, a cure for some of our diseases (like diabetes and cancer) and world relations.

    What do you not get about guys?

    I find it confusing when guys act one way to get the girl – charming, devoted, sincere…and then totally change after he’s ‘got her.’ Are they just comfortable or is it all a game?

    Hey! I’m 22 years old, born and raised in Ontario, Canada.

    What got you started into modeling?

    When I was ten years old, I participated in an audition to model in Sears Catalog. I got up in front of what I thought was 50 people, jumped around like Tony The Tiger, held back tears from frustration and embarrassment.. I left there feeling very discouraged, was the modelling thing for me?

    I came home from school one day shortly after the audition, Mom surprised me with going out for dinner. She proceeded to tell me that I was accepted, they wanted me, for not giving up even when my eyes were filled with tears. I was over the moon with what I was hearing. To only hear next that we kindly had to decline, due to me being in only grade five and then agency running out of Toronto. It just wasn’t possible to pull off.

    So here we sit, twelve years later, out of the nest, finally following my true passion.

    Which genre of modeling do you prefer most?

    I’m so flexible with the modelling genres but my “go to’s” are definitely streetwear, lingerie and boudoir!

    Is there a story behind one of your tattoos?

    Every tattoo expect for two have meanings behind them. My big paw print on my left shoulder, is of my old English bulldog, Burrito. She came into mine and my sons life at a very difficult time and I can’t thank her enough for all the joy and comfort she brought us. My Burrito baby, I miss you dearly.

    Have you had a memorable modeling or photoshoot experience to share?

    Basically just traveling to the city was a huge memorable experience, one of many to come. Mad love and support from all the photographers and models!

    If you can have a super power, what will it be?

    This thought changes on a daily basis haha, I’m going to go with flying, I currently don’t have a car. Having your full license with no vehicle is annoying, let me tell you. Flying would solve all my travel problems.

    How do you usually like to spend your weekends?

    On my weekends, I’m all over the place. From laying in bed colouring, to somewhere out of town. Music always on regardless of where I am.

    What is a funny or awkward attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    I had this guy message me on Snapchat, repeatedly.. every once in a while I would give a short answer. Well, I received a message, ignored it and went to work, as I was finishing my shift and walking out the door, HE’S STANDING IN LINE. Got a message when I was walking home, “well that’s funny, that was me in line.” OOPS..

    Hey everyone! Thank you for having me. My name is Lindsey Yap. I’m a model and I love acting too. I was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Some little fun facts about me are that I sleep very well after a cup of coffee and I enjoy playing board games with my friends!

    How did you get started into being a model?

    I started being a model after joining Miss Global Intercontinental Malaysia 2016, it wasn’t easy at first given the fact that I have no one to refer to and I had to find my own way to get into this industry. There are a few key people I wanted to thank for giving me the opportunity for a good head start. I’m grateful for my photographer sifu who accepted me and taught me the principles of being a professional model. He taught me about time-management and discipline.

    At times when I felt despair, my close friend encouraged me that no efforts I’ve made will gone to waste. I’m also thankful to my friends who got me a small role in Crazy Rich Asians. This is how I eventually started to get more jobs and exposures.  And last but not least, my mentor who guided me everything I needed to know about being a professional model.

    Are there any misconceptions about models you usually hear of?

    The misconceptions I heard about models are all about glam, fame and money, they just pose and look pretty. This is simply not true. To be a model is more like being a muse.  Models have the least say of all, you need to be flexible to adhere to designers’ or the clients’ requirements. You need to know what you’re doing.

    Most importantly, you gotta be easy to work with. Forget about being a diva when it comes to this industry. At the end of the day, it’s not all about you. You are just showcasing their outfits and brands.

    What is the best compliment you have received?

    Oh dear… this is so hard to choose! Every compliment is very dear to me. The best compliment I have ever received is “You’re such a professional model to work with.”

    Do you have any hobbies or interests?

    Currently I enjoy reading, workout and analyse how actors act in Netflix. Haha.

    If you could meet and collaborate with anyone past or present, who will it be?

    Definitely Naomi Campbell. I love the way how she struts on the runway and makes everyone in awe with her presence.

    Which flavor best describes you?

    Guava. It smells good.

    What do you not get about guys?

    They have their own version fairy tale in mind when it comes to treating their woman.
