Cosplayer & Gamer-Girl Amanda Levine

Hi Amanda it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Thank you so much! I am a cosplayer, gamer-girl, Disney lover, comic reader, film/tv buff and over-all nerd from the Los Angeles area! I have been cosplaying now for over three years, but I wish I had been doing it my whole life!

When did your interest in cosplay begin?

It began back a bit over 3 years ago when I attended my first San Diego Comic Con. I saw all of these amazing cosplayers wearing these epic costumes. I was always a nerd but I never knew how to express myself and when I saw these people cosplaying as their favorite characters, I knew I had to get in on that.

Which characters that you have cosplayed before are you most proud of?

I love all of my Harley Quinns. Especially my Arkham City and Injustice: Gods Among Us Harleys. She is always my favorite to dress up as, she is so bubbly, crazy and sexy all at the same time. I really loved my Thor cosplay as well because I made the armor all from scratch.

What is the most common misconception you hear about cosplayers?

I think the most common misconception is that we just dress up like it is Halloween all the time. It is much more than that. These costumes take weeks if not months to complete and these characters really mean something to us, so to portray our love for our favorite characters through this skill and craft is meaningful. It is way more than just poor quality Halloween store costuming. These are very expensive, time consuming pieces of art.

Which is the craziest thing you have done or experienced so far?

I would have to say San Diego Comic Con is always a crazy experience. The crowds are insane and the amount of fandoms there are amazing. Literally the whole city gets involved in the madness that is Comic Con.

Do you have any guilty pleasures?

Oh ya. I love watching TV shows and some of those shows are not the best quality shows but they are so fun to watch. I really love watching Pretty Little Liars on Freeform. I have been since college and it is a total guilty pleasure. It’s such a lame soap opera but it’s so addicting. I also really like watching Catfish on MTV. That show is so intense! But I do also watch good quality shows too haha! I love The Walking Dead, The Flash, Arrow, Bates Motel, The Crown and Stranger Things as well.

If you could describe yourself as a flavor, what will it be?

Hmmmm that is an interesting question! I know this sounds really weird and in depth, but I would have to say a Chai Latte! Chai spice can be really spicy but at the same time the vanilla and cream flavors really are sweet. I myself can be spicy and sweet!

How long do you think you’ll survive a zombie apocalypse?

I honestly was thinking about this the other day after watching The Walking Dead. I would say I would head down to San Diego to this little island across the bay called Coronado. It is surrounded by water on mainly all sides and the only thing that connects it to the mainland is a bridge and a tiny strip of beach called “the strand.” I feel like zombies would have a hard time getting there. Also the Navy is located there and that would be great for protection. I really have thought about this!

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Amanda. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

I would define sexy as not trying too hard to be sexy. I think the people that are the sexiest are the ones that do not show it off too much. In the cosplay world there are some cosplayers who show nothing but boobs and butt, and while that might be great for them and their followers, I always find it’s sexier to show off your skill before showing off literally everything else. I don’t feel like you need to post overly sexualized pictures and up close photos of a butt to attract good attention. I also think it is sexy when someone does charity work or good deeds for other people!

Fashionista Ines Naouali From Los Angeles

Hi Ines, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Bonjour, my name is Ines. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, however I am full Tunisian (that’s in Northern Africa). I speak fluent French because my family is also from France. Which is also home after LA. I grew up dancing as a kid and later studied photography. My mom is a huge part of why I love fashion, styling, and the finer things in life.

What is a typical day like for yourself?

Coffee. Emails. Coffee. Take photos. Coffee.

Which genre of modeling are you particularly drawn to?

I love high fashion photography and modeling, but lifestyle is also great. Especially the street style kind.

Do you have any hobbies?

I studied photography in High School and College so; I love to take photos even though I’m usually getting photos taken.

Is there a favorite quote or motto you live by?

This Too Shall Pass. Which was actually my first tattoo.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you?

Once my friend was urgently texting me to come downstairs because we were late for a concert and I assumed the first car that I saw was her. Nope. I ended up sitting in the back of a stranger’s car.

How much do you love coffee?

Way too much. My first cup of coffee was when I was 10 and I absolutely loved it. It soon became a dream to open my own coffee shop. One day it’ll happen.

What can a guy do to turn you off on a date?

Talking about himself the whole time, not making eye contact, or being on his phone.

Los Angeles Print Model Sophia Le

Hi Sophia it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Well I’m from Riverside (the 951! lol), pretty much raised out there and live in LA now. I’m a Cancer, I love to cook, I like hip hop, R&B and Justin Bieber, and I’m addicted to french fries. I’ve been a commercial print model for about 10 years and if you’re not familiar with that, that means I shoot mainly for lifestyle and fitness brands, so everyday brands like Target, Intel, AT&T, Pantene, Western Union, Capital One, pharmaceuticals, etc.

How did you get started into modeling and what do you love about it?

Refer to the “if you could choose to learn anything…” question 🙂

What is the most challenging assignment or event you have done so far?

I’ve done a lot of fitness campaigns, but I’d have to say the Reebok Crossfit campaign, for sure! It was a 3-day shoot and the first two days were four hours straight each day of just cross fit, cross fit, cross fit. And it wasn’t like do the move, make it look good, spray the fake sweat, do it again, pose. It was like minutes into each workout, we were dying, sweating, grunting. The creative director was like, “We wanna see the sweat! We need to capture the pain, push through! If you feel like you’re going to cry, it’s ok.”

I did have experience in cross fit, but I had never been pushed that hard before, it was ridiculously hard, so props to the die-hard cross fitters lol! On the morning of the third day, I physically couldn’t lift myself off the bed. It was my first and only time in 10 years having to call my agent and telling them I couldn’t make it to the last shoot day. I wonder if any of the other models called in also lol. Lesson learned now, always be prepared. I’m never going to die on a shoot again!

What is your favorite job you’ve ever done?

I have so many memorable ones…my favorite would have to be being the Grammy Trophy Model in 2012. LL Cool J was hosting that year, we were at rehearsals running through our presentations and there was this moment when I felt so cool lol. He came backstage, where all the stars were waiting, looks around, we made eye contact, and he goes, “SOPHIA!!!” and gave me a huge hug. It was amazing! We randomly saw each other 2 years later while shooting CSI: LA and the moment he saw me, he did the same thing, “SOPHIA!!!” haha.

If you could choose to learn anything in this world, what will it be?

Oh my God, I want to learn everything! Anything that piques my interest, I’ll do research on it and just immerse myself. It could be anything from disorders to nutrition to investing to even aliens haha! I’ll read books, attend seminars, listen to podcasts…I actually get semi-obsessed at times lol, that’s how I got into modeling, I was obsessed about learning everything I could about it. I wanted to understand the industry fully, learn about the segments, all the players in the game, where I fit in, where I shouldn’t bother. I mean, I took notes and had outlines and a game plan. I studied the models that were leading the industry and modeled my game plan after theirs, I was naive enough to think that there was no reason I couldn’t get signed by the top agencies in the industry.

So while everyone else is working their way from the bottom up, I shot for the top, and of course they rejected me, but I worked my way through the list from the top down and ended up with the amazing agencies I have now. There was even this one agency that I really wanted to sign with (I’m not with them anymore, but I won’t say who), they rejected me on paper, and I thought “Oh no you don’t you’re gonna sign me!” So I printed up some different photos, made an appointment, made no mention of my previous paper submission, won them over with my personality, and they ended up signing me on the spot lol! 🙂 So do your research, it pays off.

What is your workout regime like?

I focus on eating healthy to stay in shape. I totally believe the 80% rule: it’s 80% nutrition, 20% workout. So I cook most of my meals and eat pretty clean. Normally I’ll workout 10-30 minutes a day, 4-5 times a week. I focus on two muscle groups at a time doing calisthenics and then every once in a while, I’ll look for an intense pilates class to take. If you’re in LA, the Lagree Supraformer class will kick your ass!

How would you describe an ideal date?

He picks me up, surprises me with flowers, and it really doesn’t matter where we go, but I love to be surprised, so taking me somewhere I’ve been wanting to go, but barely mentioned. It’s like, “Oh my gosh, you remembered!” But I think what makes a date great is the conversation! When you’re fully engaged and they open up to you and you’re learning about them…that’d be the perfect date. Oh and there has to be good food, for sure.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Sophia. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Sexy is someone who’s confident, never cocky, has a strong sense of self. Healthy, meaning they eat healthy and workout. Intelligence is definitely sexy, not just putting it all out there, but also knowing when to refrain and observe. Sexy is someone who is driven and has worked hard for their success, and uplifts the people around him. Sexy is someone who takes responsibility for their life and doesn’t just wait for things to happen or react to things around him. Someone with a big heart and is never afraid to show it.

Cosplayer & Model April Star

Hi April it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hi there, hmm where do I start? Well to start off, I’m a Hispanic cosplayer living in the Los Angeles County, and I’m actually a college student going for a registered veterinarian technician license.

How long have you been cosplaying and what do you love about it?

I have always been interested in cosplaying for a while but it wasn’t until Anime Los Angeles 2016 that I attended a convention while cosplaying. I’ve been to cons before without cosplaying.

If you could choose a character to come to life, who will it be?

It would be Tony Tony Chopper from One Piece because he is just so adorable and who wouldn’t want a cute talking reindeer.

What is a typical day like for you?

On a typical day for me it’ll either consist of working and working on a few cosplays or working, school and working on cosplays or working and playing some games either on my Playstation 4 or my Nintendo 3DS. It really all depends on the day really.

Do you have any phobias?

I don’t know if would call it a phobia or not but I’m very uncomfortable with snakes and reptiles, even though I know at one point in the field I’m going in I’ll eventually have to deal with them.

If you could personally witness anything, what would you want to have seen?

To be honest I’m not completely sure.

Have you had a weird modeling or cosplay experience at an event before?

Yes actually it was at Anime Expo 2016 a photographer asked to take some photos and I said yes and then later on he was trying to get touchy in a way and try to ask me out on a date.

What turns you off on a date?

What turns me off on a date is when the other person shows or says that my interest are weird or silly.

Actress Marine Madesclaire Shares Her Worst Date Experience

Hi Marine it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hi, thanks for having me! I was born in France, and moved to Seattle when I was two years old. I moved to LA a little over a year ago to pursue my acting career.

How did you get started into acting?

I was in elementary school, I think in second or third grade, and did a violin duet for the school talent show. According to my step father in four steps I went from shaking with fear to cool, calm, collected, and having the time of my life. I may have quit violin but the love affair with the stage has continued.

What has been your most memorable experience to date?

After I graduated college I did four months with a touring company in North Carolina, we did a musical for elementary schools all across the state. Most of these children we performed for had never seen live theatre before, which was such a delight.. It was amazing.

What do you say is the most challenging aspect when it comes to acting?

Honestly it’s not the craft, or the constant rejection I find most challenging. As an actor you’re the only one responsible for your career. You have to hold the fire to your own ass, and that’s a hard thing to sustain over a long period of time.

Do you have any phobias?

I wouldn’t say a full blown phobia, but I’m very scared of flying. I’m always convinced we’re about to go down. Also, spiders. I really dislike spiders.

How do you usually spend your weekends?

Sundays are Seahawks days during the season, gotta go watch the boys play. There’s always some gym time and then cuddles with my cats as well. Other than that, I’ve got books to catch up on, I’ve been meaning to play through Mass Effect (on PC) or I hang out with friends.

Is there anything you wish would come back into fashion?

Nothing I’d like to bring back, but I’m loving the current trend towards letting people express themselves in their own fashion. Cover Girl made a huge step by announcing James Charles as their first Cover Boy and I’d love to see more brands follow their lead.

What’s been your worst date ever?

I met a guy from Tinder, yes I know fatal first step, who was thirty minutes late and then proceeded to talk only about himself. He was starving but hated to eat in front of girls, so he kept talking about how he never ate in front of dates. Eventually he told me about his phobia of vomiting, and finished off with a diatribe about how deep conversations with dates was a terrible idea. His rational was, if he revealed too much about himself girls always found one tiny thing they didn’t like and then wouldn’t sleep with him. Needless to say there was no kiss, and I did not contact him again.

LA Actress & Model Emily Rainey

Hi Emily, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hey y’all! I’m so pleased that you’re here. I’m a 5’9, blonde, dedicated young woman from Sour Lake, Texas now living in LA. My little hometown has approximately 1,500 residents. In other words, moving to Los Angeles has been huge! I couldn’t be any happier! Things are moving very quickly for me, I’m thrilled to say! Here’s a few random facts about me – I’m in love with the color pink, I’m vegan, I am usually smiling, I laugh more than anyone you know, and I am a lot of fun! OH! And I’m an actress and model so be on the lookout! 😉

What is a typical day like for yourself?

A typical day for me would be hopping out of bed as soon as my alarm sounds (I can’t stand hearing alarms, so I just go ahead and get up lol) followed by eating a bowl of oatmeal and drinking warm tea or coffee while posting a good morning post on my Instagram page. Gotta keep my fans happy! Next I’d glam up a bit with some makeup for either a photoshoot, promo modeling job, or acting gig. Some time throughout the day I’d read a few pages of one of the “The Secret” series books, or a book of that kind, and sneak in either a yoga, pilates, or interval training session. Then I’d watch a couple of episodes of either “New Girl” or “How I Met Your Mother” – those are my favorite TV shows! Then I’d stretch, post for my fans again, and maybe have some more tea and get any random things around the apartment done.

How did your passion for acting and modeling come about?

I was always told when I was in my early teen years that I should model. So I started modeling at 15 and loved it! I was always told on set that I reminded people of a “movie star”. I decided I’d give theatre and acting a try! I was in my theatre arts class in my Junior year of high school, and we were studying “The Hunger Games”. I fell in love with Jennifer Lawrence’s character and performance! So, I got with acting coach Kim Terry in Houston and we decided I should go to a showcase. There I received a talent scholarship, ultimately leading me to be where my heart was – LA! 🙂

(For the record, I love J-Law but Cameron Diaz will always be my true love)

Do you have any hobbies?

Of course! I love yoga, cycling, riding horseback, baking, volleyball, and tennis.

Is there a favorite quote or motto you live by?

“If your dreams don’t terrify you, they’re not big enough.”

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you?

Hmmmmmmm. I guess I’d say filming this promo video for a celebrity Halloween House Party 2016. I was blindfolded and forced to stick my hand in the toilet where a soggy banana was waiting for me…… It went viral, though, so it was worth it! Haha look it up!

If you had the opportunity to meet anyone past or present, who will it be?

Cameron Diaz, of course!

What can a guy do to turn you off on a date?

Guys who talk to girls like they’re lesser than are not date material in my book. We are all humans, mister. So respect a lady and she’ll give you what you need and more. 😉

Who is Tara Deleon?

I am Filipino American; born and raised in Los Angeles. I am bilingual; I speak Tagalog and English fluently. Currently I live in Hermosa Beach. I’m an actor, singer, and model. I am the oldest of three and the only girl.

Do have any upcoming projects or works we can look forward to seeing you?

Keep an eye out for my short film “The Battle.” It is a film about the struggles of the family at home of a soldier who has been deployed. It’s a very moving film and I really enjoyed making it. It was directed by a very accomplished directed Christopher Ad. Castillo.

What is your personal fashion style like?

My personal style is very business casual chic. However, it does depend on the occasion. I like to be comfortable so I wear boyfriend jeans and a t-shirt on the regular when suitable. Otherwise, I am in tight pants, loose shirt, blazer and heels.

Have you been into an embarrassing situation that seems funny now when you look back?

Oh man, so many times. There was a time, I accidentally walked into the wrong corridor of a hotel and ended up on stage of a male body building contest. I walked the stage like a runway and jumped off. Then ran into a friend of mine that happened to be in the competition.

Are you more comfortable in lingerie or bikini?

Lingerie. I think it allows more creativity and leaves more to the imagination. A bikini is pretty standard.

Do you sing in the shower?

ALL THE TIME. Being a singer it’s a great place to vocalize.

Pantyhose. 🙂

Hi Ryan, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hey hey no problem. I’m a Texan native now currently in LA. Started modeling through the Import tuner world by starting with a car crew Hybridz then went on to pose for a couple of publications. Now I bartender and occasionally Gogo dance in the Los Angeles area while going to school to be a nurse practitioner.

What perks do you enjoy most being a model?

The perk for me is definitely meeting new people. Collaborating to come up with art. I love learning and seeing points of artistic view of others.

Do you work out to stay in such fabulous shape?

Honestly. I try my best but cardio is not my friend. I love to hike though.

As a lingerie model, is your wardrobe filled with all kinds of sexy lingerie variety?

I can say I definitely own more lingerie than regular clothes. I’m either half naked for shoots or bumming it haha.

What’s the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?

Well what kind of naughty?

If you had the opportunity to have one super power, which will you choose?

Invisibility heck yeah.

What about the opposite sex attracts you?

Personality is a big thing. A person who can just kick back and vibe with me.

The funniest thing a guy has ever said or done to pick you up?

Oh wow. I think they’re pretty all cheesy and the cheesier the better.

Hi Suemomo, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

I am currently based in Los Angeles, California. But I travel for performance gigs and night life events quite often.

What do you enjoy most being a model?

Modeling helped most with healing my self image. It may be due to not hearing that I was pretty enough during my child and teen hood because I was a very late bloomer. But puberty is a strange time. Modeling has really helped me be comfortable in my own skin.

Are there any genres of modeling you prefer over others?

Not really. I think a beautiful image is a beautiful image. Like a dramatic fetish editorial can look just as powerful as Avant guard editorial.

What is one memorable highlight from your modeling experience so far for you?

Getting the opportunity to be flown out to Hawaii for a shoot and to gogo for Halloween event. It was such an amazing time. Hawaii is really special.

Best compliment you have received?

You’re the total package.

Is there anything you splurge your money on?

I’m currently investing into my online store front where I am currently designing and constructing various Faux Fur Coats and Unique Garments.

What about the opposite sex attracts you?

A great smile, intelligence, talent and open mindedness.

The funniest thing a guy has ever said or done to pick you up?

After a car show a randoe dude rolled past me on a skate board saying, “I’ve got a pocket full of cash and a full tank of gas”. But I was confused because he was on a skate board. Lol Idk.
