    Hi! My (full) name is Tey Cindy, something I always get asked twice.

    I am the creator of my website, Cin City, but I like to think of myself as a ‘lifestylist’. Since 2005, I have been writing travelogues, guides, and creating content. My goal is for every ‘Cin Citizen’ to find something ‘cinspirational’, valuable or relatable every time they visit teycindy.com.

    I am from a town so small, you most likely don’t even know it exists. But I am proud of that because it taught me “it is not where you come from but how you shape yourself while chasing your dreams, to fit into the world you want to live in”.

    What is your proudest achievement so far?

    Usually I’d say the amazing sponsored trips I received or having my blog featured in the media, but really, it is becoming the person I am today.

    For having a stand in what I believe in, doing my best to earn what I yearn, and fighting for what makes me happy. Mistakes teaches a woman, but lessons make a woman; who is wiser and stronger than yesterday.

    Building that confidence has helped me live a very loved and fulfilled life, which I am very proud of.

    Do you have any personal quotes that motivate you regularly?

    Whenever I fail or feel sluggish, a simple “I can do anything I put my mind to” does it for me. I think it works because I truly believe I can; otherwise as a realist, I won’t aim for it at the first place!

    Stealing a quote from my best friend, “It takes wisdom to make it work”. So get creative, work smart, not just hard.

    Should one day all else fails, live to see more of the world and widen your mind. Then find a cause you really believe in and be part of a supporting community.

    How is a typical day like for you?

    My routine changes, as I am always finding ways to make it suit my lifestyle better.

    I start my morning with what I want to last throughout the day – I exercise to calibrate my posture and am currently taking on the 100-squats-for-30-days challenge. Then I’d listen to Spanish lesson podcasts while clearing away any house chores, before having a good shower as a little reward of the day.

    After brunch I start editing (photos / videos), writing, posting on social media, reply emails and do freelance work. For stress relief, I play with my cat Cinga. This whole chunk takes about 6 hours of my day.

    I am a domestic person by nature. Most days around 6 p.m., I’ll start cooking a nice dinner and end the evening by spending quality time with my husband or myself with a book or Pinterest.

    Is there a place you’ve always wanted to travel but haven’t found the time yet?

    There are so many! If I had to pick one, it’d be Mongolia.

    Which food or drink can you live without?

    Margarine. Everyone should be educated about the disadvantages of this harmful, high trans fat product.

    If you could be a cartoon character, who will you be?

    Sailormoon! Isn’t it such a girl’s fantasy to have a magic ruby pen, long gold locks and a mystery gentleman with red roses to save the day with?

    What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    I was walking along the street in Singapore, when a guy jumped out in front of me and asked if he could buy me a drink some time. I told him I am married and his response was “I’m not looking for a wife. Can I have your number?” I was like . . . “NO!”

    The definition of “sexy” for men and women differs slightly to me.

    I find a woman who: is confident in taking control of her own body, understands the importance of loving herself, and knows how to have fun yet owns strong values, very sexy.

    A sexy man to me is a person who reads a lot, is experienced in life, grounded, fit, and most importantly loyal. Because can you hold high regards for a sexy man who is unfaithful?

    Landing a cover, and traveling to places I had never thought I’d end going to.

    When fans recognize that I’m not just a model or a social media figment, I’m a mom, a friend, an entrepreneur and simply human.

    Do you have any guilty pleasures or indulgences?

    Peanut butter and waffles 🙂

    What is the funniest thing you have witnessed or happened to you?

    Funniest thing was in high school, working out and a friend of mine did something I thought I’d only see on YouTube, she stepped on the treadmill at high speed and it took her legs with it, off she went… hahahah.

    If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?

    Judgements with no knowledge.

    How long will you be able to survive a zombie apocalypse?

    One of the last standing of course !

    I am from Montreal Canada and I am an identical twin!  My twin sister and I are business partners. We run a social media agency, blog and online shop together. My first job in social media was for Playboy! Second job was for Michael Kors. I then went into business with my sister and never looked back.

    What is your proudest achievement so far?

    After opening my business.. I would say definitely working for Playboy. It was a game changer for my career. I got to go to California and meet the whole team there. It was an amazing experience.

    What is the best compliment you have received?

    That I am brilliant. LOL.

    If you collaborate with anyone past or present, who will it be?

    I would love to collaborate with Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. Seems far-fetched, but as a twin I have looked up to them my whole life. I admire their relationship as twins.

    How is a typical day like for you?

    Busy! I am up at the gym every morning, and then head to the office. Usually in meetings or phone calls half the day. Other half is spent working with my team.

    Which cartoon or fictional character do you most relate to?

    100 percent the woman from Devil Wears Prada.  I can’t remember the characters’ name but Meryl Streep plays the role. I feel like I’ve had to really toughen up since opening up my business. I’ve had to become very strong and hard. It’s not easy running your own business, and I look up to this characters’ strength and resilience.

    Do you believe in any superstition?

    I am an avid Friends fan, and one time Phoebe said that if you breathe in near a cemetery, you can breathe in the dead souls. It sounds so silly…but for some reason when I drive by a cemetery I always hold my breath.

    If you could change on thing about the world, what will it be?

    Less hate, more love. I really can’t stand negative people or energy. Would love the people to be kinder to one another.

    I define sexy as confidence. To me, it doesn’t matter what you look like or what you wear. It all depends on how you feel.

    Hi Fabiana it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy.  Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

    I’m the youngest of two and had a wonderful, active life whilst growing up in Brazil. Sports, fitness and nutrition were always a part of my life. Prior to pursuing my LLM Degree in International Law in London, I did my bachelor and worked as a lawyer in Brazil.

    In 2017, I decided to go for a career change and pursued my diploma in Transformational life Coaching!

    What inspired you to start your own brand?

    My first impression when I arrived in London was how unhealthy people seemed to be in general, but specifically in the corporate environment. Not only were people living under pressure and stress, but literally digging their graves with their knives and forks. The thing is, in 2010 the awareness around well-being and having a healthy lifestyle was almost non-existent.

    I decided to create an Instagram account with my exercise and diet tips to serve as a source of motivation for those interested in taking on this lifestyle. I wanted to show that lack of time is not an excuse and if I could find time, so could anyone else! After all, I am a full-time lawyer in a career transition, living by myself and undergoing a diploma as a Transformational life coach, having ten coachees under my belt and still finding time to hit the gym and feed my social media! PHEW!

    Having found purpose and meaning in helping people achieve their personal best in any area of their lives, I’m now at the turning point of putting aside my ten years of corporate experience to dedicate myself exclusively and entirely to building my brand around Life Coaching!

    How often do you work out in the gym?

    I do hatha yoga twice a week and weights plus cardio four times a week.

    Do you have any guilty pleasures or indulgences for food?

    I do have a sweet tooth! So my guilty pleasures are usually related to desserts (Booja-booja dairy free ice cream and truffles are on of my favorites) and my recent addiction is a caramelo cashew butter from almighty foods, I can finish the jar in one go! And pancakes!!! I love buckwheat pancakes with maple syrup!

    Where can we catch you partying on weekends?

    Because I have such a busy week, I usually use my weekends to rest, catch up on some coaching materials, work on my coaching website and I do coach some clients during the weekend, so partying isn’t really on my plans! However if there’s a DJ that I enjoy listening to, like for example Gustavo Cossetti, I will definitely be on the dance floor!

    Would you rather be able to read minds or be invisible?

    I would rather read minds because from a transformational life coach perspective, it would be good to see/think with my client’s eyes.  As much as we try, we can only understand what people tells us from our interpretation, from our own eyes, so it would be interesting to see what is exactly that they are making of their own reality. Reality is a matter of interpretation!

    What is a typical day like for you?

    Usually I wake up around 8:00- 8.30 am (when I don’t go to the gym in the morning) and I run to the office as I still work as a lawyer.

    At 12:00 during my lunch time, I usually coach one client and then am back to lawyer mode.

    At 6:00 pm I leave the office to coach another client.

    Around 8 pm I hit the gym.

    9.45 I’m back home and I cook dinner, answer some DM’s, look at some collaboration proposals, learn something new around coaching or write on my self reflection journal.

    11:30 pm I meditate with the synctuition app to open up my intuition for 25 minutes and then off to bed!

    This is when everything runs smoothly and no trains are cancelled or when I don’t have deadlines at work!

    Funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    The lamest situation and one that really got me upset was when my best friend (at the time) boyfriend, started to call me anonymously declaring his ‘love’  and I didn’t really have a clue who that could be. I don’t know how he could not anticipate that I would ask my best friend who she thinks it was!  She obviously recognized his voice! It was a terrible situation to be put in.

    The funniest situation was when my friend’s friend decided to send me flowers without signing his name. I thought it was my ex boyfriend trying to amend things and so I called him and he pretended it was him. We got back together at the time, so this guy’s plan completely backfired!

    The more I understand my uniqueness, the more I feel confident and sexy. As cliché as it may sound, being sexy has everything to do with self-confidence! How you carry yourself, your presence, the energy you bring to that space, what do you think and feel about yourself has a direct impact on the way people perceive you. The realization that no one else has what you have and that they are equally and differently sexy in their own ways is for me one of the sexiest thoughts!

    Hi there! I am a 25 year old woman from West Texas. I first started Pinup modeling in 2010 but it wasn’t until this past summer that I took the big leap to begin really branding myself as a model and stylist.

    What is your proudest achievement so far?

    My greatest achievement professionally?! Man, I feel like so many wonderful things have happened since launching Rosie Cheeks that it’s difficult to narrow it down to a single achievement; having my photography published in a Pinup publication for the first time would have to be up there in my top five greatest achievements!

    You have had an amazing career and lots of wonderful life experiences in your journey so far. How do you motivate yourself to keep exploring and touching other peoples’ lives?

    In order to keep motivated I surround myself with positive influences and people I look up to professionally. I remind myself daily of my goals and why I am doing this; to make women feel beautiful and to make a difference in my community.

    How is a typical day like for yourself?

    I start the day with coffee and getting my daughter ready for school, then answering messages or emails, and then depending on upcoming events I usually have a pretty hefty list of projects and such to tackle. I recently launched the cover of my little hometown Pinup Publication so I have been busy with pages and editing for our January release date.

    Can you tell us more about the definition of “pinup” and clarify any misconceptions you typically hear about the word?

    The term “Pinup” comes from the gals shown in posters from the Mid Century, these posters were pinned up on walls and lockers etc, knowing that, Pinup to me is any woman you see as strong, courageous, beautiful, smart, fashionable, creative. She is someone anyone can look up to.

    If you could describe yourself as a flavor, what will it be?

    I’d like to think of myself as pineapple flavored; tangy but mostly sweet!

    Is there something about the opposite sex that you just don’t get?

    What’s the big deal with reading a map or asking for directions?!

    What in life can you not get enough of? 

    Sunshine, fresh air and success.

    I’m a fashion enthusiast blogger turned entrepreneur. Born and raised in Sweden, however I feel like the world is my runway as I’ve lived in New York, and Los Angeles where I get a great deal of inspiration to evolve my fashion dreams.

    I’ve always loved styling my own outfits and putting looks together since I was a teen. I remember as a kid I always had certain things that in my mind would go together and according to my mother; I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

    What inspired you to start your own brand and be an entrepreneur?

    I’ve always been inspired by people who want more in life, and not just settle for a job they hate. I’ve always had a deeper feeling that life could and should be more, and that each person always has the ability to live the dreams that are placed in their heart. I wanted to work doing something I had great passion for and to be able to continuously grow. My boyfriend, who is also an entrepreneur inspired and encouraged me to make it happen.

    I believe once you work hard for something you love, doors will open naturally. It’s amazing to be my own boss and to have the control when I work. As I grow it’s also great to be able to help others along the way.

    How will you describe your fashion style?

    Classy, yet fun and sexy. I like to mix glam looks and casual everyday wear. I want to inspire women to be confident in their own skin and just rock any outfit they want. While sometimes I do wear name brands, many times I don’t and it’s because what matters most is how you carry yourself. Style comes from within.

    What fashion accessories are a must have in every lady’s wardrobe?

    High-waisted ripped jeans.

    A black or a nude (if I have to choose) hand bag that can go with any outfit. Over-the-knee boots for fall, and at least one pair of gold heel sandals.

    Which is the best compliment you have received?

    Hmm, it must be something about my personality and work ethic. It doesn’t hurt if someone says they like my outfit either.

    If you could collaborate with anyone past or present, who will it be?

    It would be amazing to collaborate with the Beauty Guru Carli Bybel, as I’ve loved her fashion sense since day one. I’ve always liked how she’s carried herself and while I’ve never met her, I have gained a lot of inspiration from the way in which she manages her brand with elegance.

    If I were to collaborate with a big brand it would probably be Louis Vuitton. I just love their signature print and accessories.

    Do you have any hobbies or interests?

    I love traveling and seeing new places. There’s so much that can be learned from placing yourself into a new environment even for a short space of time. We as humans take so much for granted as we develop comfort zones and stop growing each day. I’ve found travel to be a great way to gain new perspectives in life, and I also get restless being in the same place for long, which is another one of the reasons being an entrepreneur fits me.

    In my spare time I also love learning new languages. I’m currently learning Spanish as many of my customers are Latina and I also really love the Latin food and culture 🙂

    Is there something you don’t understand about guys?

    This may not be true for all, but I don’t understand how some men hate to talk about emotions.

    My definition of sexy is someone who is comfortable in their own skin, which is positive and uplifting to others. Being so confident that you ultimately become selfless is Sexy!

    Hi Alycia it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy.  Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

    Hello! Thank you for having me. I’m Alycia, a Welsh designer who just loves making beautiful things. After graduating University, I wanted to extend my craft, so I created my brand ‘Emiah Couture’ which specializes in bespoke bridal, corsetry and boudoir.

    What inspired you to start Emiah?

    I have always loved art and creating things, even as a child I wasn’t far from some paints or colouring pencils! In high school this developed further when I discovered how much I enjoyed the sewing classes, and grew even further when I recently graduated University with a degree in Design for Performance. Whilst studying, I realized how much sewing combines my love of creating art, with the happiness I feel when helping people to feel more beautiful.

    So I created ‘Emiah’ as this allows me to create beautiful pieces to make people look and feel luxurious. It gives me an outlet to express myself through beautiful textures and painstakingly hand crafted embellishments, which can then be adorned onto my bespoke garments.

    Which is the best compliment you have received?

    For me personally, I think the best compliment I‘ve ever received was when someone said that my smile made them happy, which made me feel warm inside.

    If you meant about my work, then I will always remember when a model said that she felt like a living piece of art in one of my creations. She mentioned how surprised she was with how comfortable she felt whilst wearing something so lovely, which made my heart burst, as that is my aim as a creator.

    Is there anything you wished you knew or could do better when you started Emiah?

    Hindsight is always 20/20, but I think I would have told myself to just calm down and not worry so much. I’m a perfectionist by nature, so would overthink everything I made, when instead I should have just gone ahead and made the thing and just learnt from each piece, which is what I strive to do now.

    What is your dream super power to have?

    I would love to be able to manipulate time. I always find that there are never enough hours in the day, so imagine what it would be like to pause time and be able to get more stuff done! Or to be able to fast forward through something that is monotonous and boring… that would be so useful haha.

    If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be?

    I would love to travel to New Zealand one day. My favorite animals are penguins, I even named my brand after the smallest breed of penguin in the world; the ‘little blue fairy penguin’ that lives in New Zealand, so I would love to see them in their natural habitat.

    What flavour would you say best describes you?

    I would probably say I’m quite a ‘nutty’ character, but I guess most artist and creators probably are! It’s also my most favorite topping on ice cream, which might have been where I got the idea from haha.

    How would you describe an ideal date?

    Oh I’ve never really thought about what an ideal date would be for me. I guess what would make a date stand out, would depend on how they made me feel whilst being with them, I am quite an easy going person and I love to laugh, so as long as they can make me smile, then I think I would count that as a success.

    To me sexy is when you feel confident and strong. When you’re comfortable within your own skin and love yourself I think it really shines through. I know this can be a hard thing to do in the ‘social media age’ as you can constantly compare yourself and your life to others, which is why when I catch glimpses of this confidence, I think it can be very sexy. This is what I aim for; for my clients, for them to walk away feeling confident and sexy in something that I have created for and with them.

    It is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy, Sara.  Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

    For me that’s a super complicated question! I’m half Filipina/half British and was born in Hong Kong. I spent my childhood there then lived in India, Turkey and Oxford before reading History at University in London. But home is where the heart is – and that’s in the Philippines 🙂

    What inspired you to be an actress?

    When I was younger I always dreamt about being an actress but never voiced it out loud because I thought it was crazy. I still don’t feel comfortable saying it. Then when I focused on my future, all the career advice I heard was rooted to following your passion (kind of like how in love you should follow your heart) and that’s when I knew I would move to LA from London.

    Do you have a memorable acting experience you can share with us?

    A memorable acting experience was my first short film I did (that’s so cutely titled Bubble) where I had to get out of my car distressed and confront a guy I was obsessed with in front of the notorious Paul Smith pink wall on Melrose Avenue in front of around 30 people watching… all with a knife in hand!

    How did the idea of KAYA essentials come about?

    I attended a talk on how a Filipino organisation (Gawad Kalinga) was cultivating social businesses in the Philippines and how doing business with a heart could alleviate poverty. I had no background in business but had the heart for KAYA and took it from there. I loved sharing the fact that Philippines produced a lot of the world’s coconut oil and when I learnt how many Filipino coconut farmers remain in poverty (the statistics are staggering) I knew I had to do something with coconut oil – plus it’s my number one beauty secret for my hair.

    Tell us more about your charity work and how KAYA is involved!

    For every KAYA lip balm, a meal is provided to a Filipino child in need through a local feeding programme called Kusina ng Kalinga. The programme feeds up to 20,000 public school and street children every day. And just as how KAYA wants customers to purchase with a purpose, where possible the ingredients are purchased from Filipino family and social businesses and farmers cooperatives.

    Is there something you have achieved so far that you are most proud of?

    I would have to say KAYA is a major achievement. But also perfecting my roast chicken and being a dog mama.

    Have you done something embarrassing before that seems funny now?

    In school I joined MUN… model united nations… because I thought it was an after school activity on modelling. I was so confused why it was held in the computer lab and why my brother was there too. Oops.

    Which is the funniest or lamest way a guy has tried to know you? 

    One guy had a ‘getting to know each other’ game that had too many complicated rules for a first date or even just in general. I kept thinking, why don’t we just have a conversation?

    I am from a small town in Bunn with one light stop, then I moved to the Bronx, NY 5 years ago.

    What is your proudest achievement so far?

    When I started my own online fashion store (meekswear.com)

    Where do you find the motivation to wear so many hats and be good at them all?

    I love hats! Especially hats with lettering! They speak a statement without you having to say a word.

    How do you juggle everything and still have time to look so fantastic?

    I have always take pride in the way I look and dress, no matter what.

    What is your dream super power to have?

    To have top celebrities wearing my clothes (my brand).

    If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?

    Self-hatred. I want to start a “self-love” group.

    What song would you say best describes you?

    Cardi B – Bodak Yellow

    Is there something you don’t get about the opposite sex?

    How “most” men think they are superior than women.

    Hi Shai, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.  Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

    Hi! I’m Shai from Manila, Philippines! I’m an entrepreneur, blogger, fashion stylist and speaker.

    What was  the inspiration behind Shy Shop and why did you choose that name?

    It’s actually my name (because I can’t think of anything during the time I put the store up haha). I chose Shy instead of Shai because I thought that has better recall. I’ve always loved selling trinkets way back in college and that’s probably the reason why I pursue the business right after school. Today, we’re selling a lot of novelty stuff and other personal items and we’ve grown the business from a simple online store to several physical branches all around the country.

    Were there a lot of challenges you faced when you started Shy Shop?

    Yes! Everything starts small and that’s the same case with Shy Shop. Getting customers was a bit hard at first especially that it’s based online. It’s so difficult to persuade the buyers to trust online stores but I guess we’ve overcome that through customer service and great marketing promotions.

    Is there any motto or quote you live by?

    To get better, you always have to step out of your comfort zone 🙂

    How much of a foodie are you?

    I AM SO MUCH OF A FOODIE. I get hungry like every hour that’s why I got a mini pantry inside my room.

    What kind of music are you into?

    I love R&B and acoustic music. I also have a set of workout music which I play when I jog or I do crossfit.

    If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?

    That you can’t please everybody but you can always be good (because it’s a personal choice).

    How will you describe an ideal date?

    Ideal date would be something by the beach with a dose of reggae music and probably some fresh fruit juices (okay that sounds weird, haha)
