Vancouver Based Published Model Helen Moss

Well, my name is Helen. Speaking of my background, you could say I am a mix of Russian, Ukrainian and maybe Belorussian, being born and raised in Latvia. I moved to Canada at the age of 15 and all by myself. To be honest, I feel like writing an elementary school essay, so I would rather skip the part about the age, birthday and family background.

What can I tell about myself. Well, if you asked my best friend or my mother, they would probably say that I am a funny and sarcastic person who loves dark humour, alternative rock like Three Days Grace or Green Day, and everything related to art. Also I suck at math and sciences, I absolutely love drawing, writing, acting and singing. I do a little bit of all – I study visual arts and design, write poetry and lyrics, I want to relate my life to acting and cinema.

Out of other interesting or not that interesting facts, 99.9 percent of people find me cold and a bit socially awkward at first, but later every single person calls me funny and nice.

How long have you been modeling and why do you love it?

I started modelling at the age of 13 when my mother brought me to a modelling school where I studied for a year. To be honest, that school only gave me a bunch of insecurities and a wish to never go back to that path ever again. Several years later, a friend of mine offered me a photoshoot, and I found myself enjoying it.

What I really love modelling for is the idea of making meaningful art. I do not do beauty shoots or simple outfits, my modelling has been called dark and controversial by many people. I try different looks on, and it is never about looking pretty or beautiful – it is about being memorable. I can appear in the makeup of a sad clown, or with bruises all over my face, and I will put a certain idea or a concept behind it. I hope it is not too confusing. After all, I love modelling for the ability to be unique.

What is the hardest or most challenging photoshoot you have done before?

It was a photoshoot that I haven’t even posted anywhere. It was a photographer who messaged me on Instagram and offered a shoot, but when I showed up there, he first of all was late, and second, he was not really in a mood to talk. It was also hard because he planned to shoot outside in the middle of December, and was always asking me to remove my jacket so I would remain in a small and a very open top. At that time, I was not very confident, and I was afraid to say no. So, in the end, I froze to the bones and got only three pictures from the two hours of photoshoot.

Out of the most challenging ones, it was a photoshoot for my best friend’s portfolio which was pointing out people’s bad choices such as alcoholism or abusive relationships, and it was really challenging because I’ve been changing my whole look four times during the day. As well as that, it was all done on the streets of Vancouver in the end of November, it was so cold and I really had to change my clothing outside a couple of times so we had more time with the daylight.

What quotes or mottos do you like to use to inspire yourself?

Do what you love and love what you do

Because why else would I be studying and developing if I don’t enjoy doing it?

If you could change one thing about the modeling industry, what will it be?

I would love to change the attitude to boudoir shoots. I don’t want people to think that if I am doing boudoir, then I’m just showing off. In my opinion, it is a form of art and a way to gain confidence for some girls. I don’t want to be called names for dealing with my self-insecurities and for feeling comfortable with my body.

Do you have any other hobbies or favorite pastimes?

As I mentioned before, I am way too artsy. I truly enjoy drawing and fashion design, I am a little bit of a messed up singer and a songwriter, and I sometimes do acting in short movies. I also like cooking healthy food and doing hikes and home workouts.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a risk taker are you?

I would be an 8 out of 10, and I am always crazy about trying new things. Like, to be honest, I came to Canada all by myself at a very young age, all introverted and lacking communication, and it was such a terrifying thing to do. I went surfing in Tofino and almost got a serious back injury but at that time I really felt like learning to surf. I have been planning to apply for the History of Art for a year but changed my mind and went for Fashion Design a week before all possible deadlines. This is kind of how I am, very spontaneous and sometimes taking risks.

What is a lame or awkward attempt a guy has tried to know you?

There was that guy in the skytrain who sat next to me and immediately asked if I wanted to act in his short movie but it turned out later that he only wanted to hit on me like that. Also, I think that 70% of all male photographers that I worked with made an attempt to get to know me ‘closer’ It is a fun fact that most people I’ve been dating were photographers.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Helen. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

To be honest with you, I don’t even use this word much just because I have no idea what ‘sexy’ means to me. It is mostly related to having a hot body and a beautiful face, but I myself haven’t yet figured out what exactly it is to be ‘sexy’

Italian Professional Model, Singer & Actress, Greta Ray

Hello! Thank you so much for this interview! I’m 21 years old and I’m an Italian professional model, singer and actress.

I started modeling when I was six years old and from 2015, I’m produced by MMG Trend Production. I realized many shootings in almost all over the world. I have four songs available on all Digital Stores and YouTube.

Was singing something that you always had an interest in since you were a child?

Yes, I always sing since I was really young, Italian and foreign songs, in particular with my grandma.

What do you find most challenging about being a singer?

I think the hardest thing is to have the constancy to practice every day with the right exercises, and you will never stop to learn.

Then for a very shy person like me, every time before going on stage it’s really difficult and I get anxiety. Then as soon as you get on stage, everything changes and it’s the most exciting experience you can have.

Are there any mottos and quotes you like to use regularly?

    Let’s go!”, “Never give up!

With my songs I always try to explain to my followers that you must never give up. Dreams must be chased with head held high, always. With determination and commitment, dreams can come true.

If you had the opportunity to learn anything in this world, what will it be?

I think the ability to speak all the languages of the world. I love to study new languages, even the very difficult ones because it would be nice to be able to communicate with everyone.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of an adventurer are you?

10! I love adventure! I have made exciting and adventurous journeys during my life and the most beautiful was in America. With a motorhome we ventured from Los Angeles to Chicago. I saw and explored deserts, cities and pristine spaces.

How do you like to spend your free time?

I like to draw, riding horses, shopping and staying with my family.

What turns you off on a date?

Disrespect. I think that respect is essential for any form of relationship.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Greta. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Being sexy for me means having the ability to be sensual, elegance and attractive without ever falling into the vulgar.

  • Actress & Producer Alli Miller of Cherry Poppins Productions

Actress & Producer Alli Miller of Cherry Poppins Productions

I’ve been dancing since I was three, and apparently told my parents I wanted to be a full time actress and part time doctor when I was in kindergarten. BUT I would say that Carol Burnett was a HUGE inspiration to me, and I often refer to myself as the Burnett of Burlesque.

My writing, I think, has been strongly influenced by Amy Sherman Palladino and the original YouTube…I know that sounds silly but when YouTube originally came out and we all were watching “Old Greg” and “Charlie the Unicorn” and “Shoes” on repeat, I think that brand of humor got stuck in my brain and it’s all I truly understand! Goldie Hawn in Housesitter was the moment I knew I wanted to act on screen though….so there is that!?!?!

What is a typical day like for you?

Well it’s hard to answer that question right now as we are quarantined, so a typical day for me is waking up, making breakfast, staring at the wall, trying to understand Tik Tok, and eventually working out, watching my dog sleep, and finally drinking a bottle of wine before I have a meltdown and fall asleep…LOL not LOL…

But USUALLY, it’s rehearsal to another rehearsal to another rehearsal, trying to remember to eat, go for a run, and try to write a song or a script at night before getting four hours of sleep and watching Gilmore Girls as comfort in between.

Which is a memorable or unforgettable show you have done before?

This is hard because there are so many. I would say as a musical theatre performer, anyone who has ever done RENT, that cast stays with you for life. I have done this show twice and both casts are permanent fixtures in my life having truly changed me. I learned so much about myself doing that show, both times, and so much about parts of the world I maybe didn’t totally understand before.

As an adult now looking back, “Shakeslesque” which when we do bring it back will be retitled “Shakespeare in Lust” is the show I miss every day. Partially I think because it stretched me as a writer, not being a Shakespeare buff, but also as an actress. I did not play a role written specifically for me and there was so much heart in that show. That cast was so amazing and the show felt like coming home every night.

What have you always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?

Hmmmmmm. Travel more? I was awful about going anywhere when I was younger. Always afraid I would miss an opportunity at home, and that is nonsense. We need to go out and learn about the world so that we can be better performers! Also I would like to pick my violin back up and get more comfortable playing her. She’s just been sitting in her case for so many years and she deserves some love.

If you could collaborate with anyone past or present, who will it be?

ANYONE?! Oh man…..I’d go back to Burnett. Carol is one of the most brilliant minds to ever walk on stage or in front of a camera. And her story is amazing, if you haven’t read her book that she wrote for her daughters about her life. I would kill to just sit in a room with her for an hour and pick her brain about writing and creating and timing.

    Which flavor best describes you?

    Cinnabon flavored Vodka.

What do you not get about guys?

I feel blessed to have been able to really put myself in others shoes, my mom pounded this into my brain growing up, so there wasn’t much chance of me not “getting” something about someone….however…men that do not respect the independence of women sharing their sexuality makes LITERALLY NO SENSE TO ME. I know after my mother got married, she started wearing more conservative clothing, and even admitted to putting on weight so she would stop getting hit on by men that weren’t her husband….because…he “deserved the control” because…. “she belonged to him”!!!!

Now, I know this was a sign of the times, but that is PURE TRASH! I am not saying I am not loyal to my husband, or that I don’t belong to him, because I do…but I wouldn’t have married a man that didn’t appreciate my need to be wanted and want others. We are animals and we appreciate people’s beauty and sexuality NATURALLY. And if it makes me feel powerful to wear something sexy and do my hair and makeup, then fuck it, that’s what I should be able to do. My husband loves that about me and it is WHY we work. Did that answer any part of that question?

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Alli. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy?

Sexy for me is so many things. I’m a fan of hard rock classics that make you wanna bone in the bathroom of the bar and not giving a fuck.

  • Canadian Model & Entertainer Kate Maxx

Canadian Model & Entertainer Kate Maxx

Hey everyone, I’m Kate Maxx, a model and professional naked person. I’m Canadian born and raised and I do anything and everything naked when possible. I currently tour across Canada as a nude showgirl doing themed performances, I am also the MC of Young Swingers week which is an adult vacation party where you can party naked for a week. I am also a sex educator, lap dance teacher, content provider for Onlyfans and online personality.

How long have you been modeling?

I was interested in modeling for as long as I can remember. I was very invested in competing in dance growing up so it wasn’t until I moved out on my own at 16 that I began to pursue modeling. But I jumped in head first and modeled lingerie in a kink store window.

Which genres of modeling do you love most?

Outdoor nude, glamour, bikini and lingerie. I love expressing a sexy and confident vibe with a bit of my own creative decisions as well.

Do you have any other hobbies and interests?

I love to travel and see the world and experience different cultures and ways of life. When I have free time, I enjoy helping and volunteering with animals. Scuba diving is a big passion of mine, I love being in and around water. I also love riding horses, hiking, reading, cooking, learning new types of dance, surfing, playing my Nintendo Switch and exploring nature.

Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?

I remember tumbling down the stairs from top to bottom about ten steps and landing flat on my face on stage in front of a club full of people. I was so embarrassed at the time but I’ve also learned it’s all about how you handle it.

Is there any superstition you believe in?

Not really, I think black cats are pretty cute!

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?

10 when I decide to be but that’s only kept for special occasions. Most of the time I’m probably a 4.

What is a funny or awkward attempt a guy has tried to know you?

I met a guy who was recently divorced and new at dating again. When we met he was so nervous he couldn’t really keep a conversation going and seemed quite nervous. I guess to move the conversation along he offered to analyze my handwriting, so we spent some time doing that and it was really interesting. I really do like helping people come out of their shell. That awkward attempt resulted in a couple more dates.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Kate. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Sexy is a vibe. It’s something that exudes from within you, it’s not an outfit, a size, or a specific body shape.

  • Lithuanian Model & Actress, Raminta Paukstyte

Lithuanian Model & Actress, Raminta Paukstyte

My name is Raminta Paukstyte, I’m commercial model and actress from Vilnius, Lithuania. Funny random fact about me – my surname translated into English is “Chick”, aka who’s that chick?

Where did your inspiration to be an actress and model come from?

I remember gloating over the gorgeous dresses on the television screen, when I first saw the “Miss Universe” beauty contest. And my father used to take many pictures of me when I was little. Later I developed pro skills when it comes to take a perfect self-portrait with a timer. I think I truly loved cameras from the early age and held on to the idea of being confident, beautiful and doing what I love ever since.

Is it challenging to be a successful actress and model?

Modeling is a very competitive industry, but when you truly think about it, in terms of diversity, the beauty standards have changed so much. Nowadays I see so much more opportunities for different models, no matter their body size and shape; even brands more and more are into working with interesting personalities. But at the same time, social media following has become a huge factor when it comes to getting big gigs.

Acting is another career where social media following, sadly, plays an important role. In Eastern Europe, there are not many acting opportunities for actresses; the lack of projects is what makes it truly competitive. Nevertheless, I believe that I’m responsible for my own happiness and reaching goals, instead of blaming circumstances.

How is a typical day like for yourself?

For the last month I’ve been living and working in Taiwan. Taipei is a vibrant and kind of wild city, but I’m happy here being surrounded by beautiful nature and prolonged summer, while it is winter in my homecountry Lithuania (23+ degrees in Taiwan doesn’t remind me of winter at all!) I like to start my day by getting up early and going to the gym. Then eat breakfast and depending on my schedule, I might have a few castings in a row, I will catch a bus or MRT and I can easily reach my location not having to watch out for mopeds (drivers are hectic here!) or, if I’m working, I usually go to the shooting location and have breakfast there.

On my days off I enjoy spending time outdoors; it could be either a peaceful time in nature alone, that involves some hiking too or meeting up with friends in the city, going to explore local markets. When I come back home to Vilnius, my biggest focus work-wise will be on theatre and definitely more cosy evenings staying in.

Do you have any favorite quotes or mottos you use?

I am responsible for my own happiness.

If you could time travel, what will you like to experience or witness?

I’d ask to take me back to the 90s- early 2000s. For some weird reason, I feel super nostalgic for this decade, its music, its vibe and would love to experience those wild times once again.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?

7 – my level of being a foodie depends on the season; I can be very excited about food, but at the same time I could be like “I don’t care”.

What is a lame or awkward attempt a guy has tried to know you?

Random DM’s are often freaky. Most recent was like, “The body is not the first item on the list that I want to possess. I want your soul, your heart, your thoughts, all of you, all your problems and fears. I want to be the centre of your universe.”

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Raminta. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

For me, sexy is all about the energy; it is being able to create that special vibe that makes someone feel attractive to you and vice versa, when you are around. Sexy is being confident, intelligent and bold.

  • LA Actress & Published Model, Abby Ramsay

LA Actress & Published Model, Abby Ramsay

I first got into acting when I was very young. My mom put me in church musicals with the hope that I would develop my singing. I did develop my singing, and actually did very well for myself, but to my mother’s dismay, I also developed a love for acting (and became atheist) so the plan backfired a bit. I think it was around middle school that I decided I wanted to pursue it as my future career.

I think what really solidified my love for acting was just watching movies like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. I wanted to be able to tell stories and go on these great adventures and I think as I grew up it became a sort of escapism for me. I didn’t want to be me so I became these characters. But that’s not the healthiest thing in the world and I have started balancing the characters with myself. Now it is just a love for the craft that keeps me going.

Which is your most memorable or unforgettable acting experience so far?

My most memorable acting experience actually happened when I was in my senior year of high school. It was a play which is ironic because I prefer doing film over plays. It was a Nancy Drew play and I was playing Nancy’s cousin George. I just remember having so much fun playing the part and exploring the character. Plus I loved the costume and my fellow cast members.

I think I remember it so fondly because I was just having such a good time. Acting without pressure and just giving it my all. There were people who recognized me months later because of that part and It will always stick with me. Nothing beats that feeling.

Have you ever felt nervous on camera before?

I always feel a little nervous on camera. There is a lot more pressure acting on camera than on stage in my opinion.  You have to hit your mark, make sure you are doing the exact same thing with your body every time, control your tone, your face, lines are constantly changing. It is a lot to keep track of.

And then you have to remember to act and make it believable. The higher budget the film the more pressure, but also the easier it is because there are more people to help you keep track of everything. But the result is always worth it.

How will you describe a typical day like for yourself?

A typical acting day for me is getting everything packed up, taking care of my dog, attempting to arrive on set early to go over the script at least one more time, and then a lot of waiting between takes. There is so much waiting involved so patience is a must.

If it is a non acting day, I spend time with my dog and make sure she is happy and comfortable (she is old, blind, and has cancer so she gets a lot of attention) and then there is just life maintenance. Auditioning, self tapes, applying, exercise or yoga or both, and I like to write and sing. I also do modeling to keep myself busy and get out of the house, so I practice posing and research stuff for that. There is a lot of day to day maintenance even on the down days.

What have you always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?

There is a lot I want to do that I just have not found the tome for. Sometimes it’s little things like wanting to take up horseback riding again, and sometimes it is big things like wanting to travel Europe for a month. But right now, I really want to go to Disney Land. I have been living in LA for four years now and still have not gone.

If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?

There is so much I would love to change about the world, but I think one thing I would really like to change is make it less greedy. I think that it would have a huge effect. Without greed you could probably same the environment, get rid of all our weapons and militaries, end hunger and homelessness, get everyone an education. I think the world would be a better place if it was less greedy.

Is there something you can’t get enough of in life?

Something I can not get enough of in life in exploration. I love seeing and experiencing new things in life. Seeing new places and learning about history and experiencing the beauty of the world is such a thrill to me. Travel was one of the reasons I got into acting. Unfortunately a lot of stuff is done in studios now which I think is kind of sad, but I get it.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Abby. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Sexy is an interesting word to me. I am openly asexual and have been for some time now, and there is this idea that asexual people can’t be sexy, but I think sexy is an attitude or a state of mind and I try to embrace that.

  • Canadian Model, Actress & Entrepreneur Makayla Rogerson

Canadian Model, Actress & Entrepreneur Makayla Rogerson

Thank you for this opportunity! I am a teen mom and model from Niagara, Canada. I’ve been modeling for almost four years now, self managed. I have walked international runways and represented Canada in Miss Progress International (a pageant solely based around womens progress), I’ve also competed in supermodel Canada search and have had training with the Toronto Fashion Academy.

Now I operate my own model and fashion house in Niagara, R House (@rmodelsm). I’m also just in the stages to launch my new project Safe Haven (@safehavenp) a project to bring humanity back into the community of Women and their children whom are children of domestic violence and abuse.

How did you get started into being a model?

To start modeling I reached out to a Facebook group, posted that I was interested in modeling. A student from Niagara College contacted me and gave me a shot! From there I continued to post on social media looking to build my portfolio. I was then connected with the local photography studio (That Photography Place) which unfortunately has closed down in recent years, however, I made a lot of connections and continued to network.

What do you love about being a model and is it a lot harder than it looks?

My favorite thing about being a model is the fact that I am the canvas of the art that is being created. I love being a part of something positive that people are actually interested and invested in. I also love to travel and meet new people at every job. For myself, modeling is a little harder on me, I suffer from scoliosis and a tear in my left ACL, but I don’t let any of that stop me from getting the shots!

Which is a memorable or unforgettable event or photoshoot you have done before?

I’ve had so many of these days starting with SMC and the first time working with TFA, but to top it all was my recent trip to Italy to represent Canada in an international pageant.

Do you have any quotes or mottos that you always use regularly?

There are a couple that come to mind. I’ve gone through a lot, although I’m young. I’ve come to realize this, “If you want something done, you’ve got to do it yourself.” It’s hard to depend on people these days, so don’t wait on anyone, especially if it’s in the way of your goal.

Where have you always wanted to travel to but have yet to find the time for it?

I would like to go to Greece! Absolutely beautiful architecture and scenery, I like to go sight seeing.

If you could learn anything, what will it be?

I would learn how to do my own hair and makeup, I sadly only know the basics.

What is a lame or funny attempt a guy has tried to know you?

No one has needed to try to get to know me, it’s easy to just walk up to me and start a conversation. To try to date me, a different story. The best one I can remember is when a high school friend of mine bought me a phone expecting something from it, even though I repeatedly told him that there’s nothing happening between us and to not buy me the phone…he bought it and I got a free gift!

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Makayla. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

For me, being sexy is more than just what you look like. You’ve gotta have a good heart too.

  • Malaysian Martial Artist, Fighter, Model & Actress Sandra Lim

Malaysian Martial Artist, Fighter, Model & Actress Sandra Lim

Hi everyone! It’s a pleasure for me to be featured on SimplySxy too! My name is Sandra Lim, I am the Miss Malaysia Model of The World 2018. I am currently studying and working part time as a model and actress. Regardless, I still prefer to introduce myself as a simple martial artist and fighter.

What is your fashion style like?

I love a deep v-cut shirt or dress because it compliments my body type. I love shorts too because I have long legs and that it’s hard to find long pants that suits my length. but if you ask what I wear the most, I’d say sports attires.

Where do you usually love to shop from?

Some of my favorite outfits are from Padini. But I’d love to explore more of other shops and different fashion.

Do you have a beauty regime to looking so fabulous?

Thank you for the compliment! I have dry skin, so plenty of moisturizing is needed to keep my face away from a breakout. Apart from that, I would suggest exercising and drinking lots of water, it helps!

How often do you work out?

I exercise almost every single day. Some days with extreme sports and some just simple home workouts or a run. I do have to take breaks sometimes for a few days when I get injured from trainings. But I try to exercise every day.

Is there any food or drink you don’t ever take?

I don’t drink alcohol nor smoke; I think they damage your body and it shows on the outside too. I don’t eat sweets too.

Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?

I think it was during my first ever movie casting when I was 16. Because of how introverted I am, it was super scary having a big camera right in front of me. I couldn’t even introduce myself to the camera. Luckily now I am more comfortable in front of cameras.

Apart from that, most of my embarrassing moments were from trainings because we’d attempt different stunts and we’d fall the weirdest and funniest ways. But I’d just laugh them off even at the time.

What is a funny or lame attempt a guy has tried to know you?

I received many similar ones from different people. But I had received an email once from a stranger telling me he loves me and asking for me to love him back. The email was attached with many of his selfies and pictures.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Sandra. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

I think people that are intelligent and mature are extremely sexy. Also, the ones that have fierce determination and knows what they are doing are the definition of the word ‘sexy’.

  • What Has Model & Actress Rachael Pace Been Up To In 2019?

What Has Model & Actress Rachael Pace Been Up To In 2019?

Hello! I would actually like to start by saying I’m so very grateful for the opportunity to be featured once again for SimplySxy as it holds a great depth with me being the first ever magazine to interview me when my modelling career had just started taking off. Since our last interview back in December 2018, I’ve been focusing on doing a lot of inner and outer growth and healing.

When I really think about my timeline from then to now, I feel as though I’ve definitely evolved into a more enlightened form and headspace that all comes with really taking the time to become whole in myself before anything else. I’ve been focused on myself and my soul for a year now almost and because of that I finally feel I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be in life and with the people who I love and surround me on a daily basis.

What exciting modeling projects have you been a part of so far in 2019?

I’ve worked with a small number of freelance photographers in my area because I really love supporting local businesses. To add to that though, I’ve been working on my own sorts of projects in aesthetic photography and I’ve been working on shooting a set that has an old Paris aesthetic to it. I’m excited and hopeful to drop soon.

Besides just my own projects though, one of my close friends has been working hard on a clothing brand called Korato which has its own Instagram and is really worth following as I believe he’s working on a clothing drop soon.

How did you get started into acting?

I was actually always into it even from a really young age, I come from a long family line of presenters and artists, so it was only natural for me to pursue this as well out of my own interests to.

Are there any challenges you face as an actor?

There’s definitely challenges that come with every aspect in life without question, but I’ve learned you can either be swallowed by them or roll with the punches and once you get experienced in rolling with the punches life throws at you, you’re unstoppable.

Does being a model help make acting on camera easier?

Absolutely. It can make you really nervous working over the same part of something for hours without many breaks. I found myself even feeling self-defeating thoughts sometimes when we would have to keep re-shooting the same scenes but I pulled myself right back out of that downswing from being around such supportive, loving people who I’m proud to support and send that love right back to in their time of need.

In my last interview I mentioned a lot about how I advocate so hard for people to feel so empowered in everything they do and it is so important to send that love and empowerment right back.

Do you still have the time for music and playing the guitar?

Yes! More so nowadays actually as my boyfriend is a producer so music surrounds me more than it already was my entire life. I use my guitar as a way of healing my soul through playing certain chords that don’t necessarily make a song, but the vibrational energy heals on a very deep level for me and I really do suggest that to people as music is such a deep form of expression often looked over for less than what it is.

    Which flavor best describes you?

Now this is a different sort of question haha. I would probably use the flavor of herbal tea to describe myself more than anything because I only really drink herbal teas as I find they make me feel closer to the earth and more grounded in myself.

If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?

If I could learn anything in the world, it would probably be mastering the art of learning to talk to animals. I see so many videos of people being able to communicate so effectively with animals and it’s honestly really cool haha.

We know we have asked you before how you define “sexy”. Has that changed for you?

From the last time I answered this question in 2018, I would say my perspective of the definition of “sexy” hasn’t so much changed but has become more sharpened and refined. In my last interview, I described it as a feeling well beyond just feeling confident and true to themselves which is still very much how I would describe it, but now adding onto that I would say the feeling of feeling “sexy” goes deeper into a soul level of a person and how much they truly know themselves and who they are on the inside because after finding that for myself, it has changed my entire perspective on the world and myself in it.

I realized between who I was on the inside and who I was on the outside were always at odds and almost fighting for the spotlight until I began spending time inside my mind to harness who I am as a whole being and not just the half of myself I would show to the world. As human beings, we’re put under a lot of pressure of social “norms” and how we’re supposed to step forward throughout our entire life and for the longest time I felt almost trapped in that until I got tired of conforming to social standards and decided to just live for myself.

I wanted to thank you again for the pleasure of being interviewed again with your magazine as it’s something that’s a huge milestone in my career.

  • Actress & Instagram Blogger Viveca

    Actress & Instagram Blogger Viveca

Wow, thank you so much for having me. I’m Viveca (pronounced vih-vih-ka)! I’m an actress and hobbyist Instagram blogger @vivaaace. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, moved to the U.S. when I was 18 for college and I’ve been living in New York City for around three years.

What is your proudest achievement so far?

As someone who is constantly finding new ways to grow and love herself, I would have to say being able to find healthy means to channel my anxiety. Since the industry I’m in can be really brutal, it’s so easy to be stuck in a negative headspace. Career wise, probably booking my first Broadway show three months out college or some really cool commercial work I’ve done with huuuuge brands like Tiffany & Co., Buzzfeed and Ferragamo!

Do you have any favorite quotes or mottos you like to use?

My favourite quote of all time is “A flower does not compete with the flower next to it – it just blooms.” This actually inspired me to get a little water colour tattoo on my right shoulder blade to serve as a reminder.

How do you like to spend your free time?

I love to work on my blog www.vivaaace.com. I blog about everything ranging from food to beauty/fashion to theatre advice to life advice. I also love to coffee shop crawl, eat at new restaurants and binge as many TV shows as I can. I’m currently hooked on The Handmaid’s Tale. The acting is impeccable.

Is there something you can’t get enough of in life?

Dogs. Especially my newly adopted Pitbull @atasteofmochi. Oh my goodness, he is so cute and such a light in my life.

Where have you always wanted to travel to but have yet to find the time for it?

Bali, Marrakesh or Cape Town. Three completely different places.

If you could collaborate with or meet anyone past or present, who will it be?

I would love to work with Sandra Oh.

    What flavor best describes you?

    Nutella and strawberries.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Viveca. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Sexy is owning yourself, your body, your flaws, your strengths. Sexy is loving yourself. Sexy is talking kindness to yourself and your body. Sexy is wearing anything, or nothing for no one but you. Sexy is the confidence to be unapologetically you.
