I usually try to get as much inspiration as possible by looking at many different things. I don’t have a favorite brand, once I’m interested, I try any brand. I also like brands like Zara and Bershka. This spring, I bought a blue tweed jacket. I like to mix casual styles with a bag from a brand, and I try to stay true to myself.
A bag I bought recently from Tory Burch is embroidered with this yellow bird. It seemed so spring like and made me feel happy just by looking at it so I just bought it! I love animals or styles that are soothing.
There was also this collab of Gucci and Doraemon (famous Japanese anime character). I got myself a scarf and a wallet and many other items.
Until recently, I would think, what would people think of how I look? Or does it actually suit me? But then I realized that styles that make me feel comfortable and happy are the ones that suit me. So recently I care about what I really like, and now I really enjoy fashion. My favorite color is light blue. It has a transparency and is blue like the ocean.
Do you have any hobbies or interests?
I like everything that has to do with cosmetics. I tried out so many different types of brands, from high fashion to casual styles!
I think the Canadian brand The Ordinary is pretty good. It’s super cheap, and I was surprised how good it was! Among the ones with antioxidants I can totally recommend EUK. For facial care, stem cell facial rejuvenation therapy is my Go-To. Recently, I’ve been working as a nurse for a clinic with stem cell facial rejuvenation therapy and after using it I could feel my face becoming younger. All the dirt disappeared and my skin felt enriched.
Other than that, I love going to cities near the sea where I can go diving or surfing or fishing. I love beautiful and relaxing activities.
Which is the best compliment you have received?
One passerby once told me that I will probably become very happy, because I have a happy vibe. Friends told me the same, too. I have my problem, too, I was probably born with a happy vibe. In Buddhism it says, that life is something like a lesson. Life is not easy, the more it’s important to be put in some positive energy, I think. If everything is a lesson, maybe we should be as cheerful as possible. That mindset is important, I think.
What are 3 fun sights you recommend to tourists to take in when visiting your city?
Hmm, never thought about that…
If you want to get some delicious food, try out the site Taberogu. Any place listed above 3.5 out of 5 points is always not too bad, reservations of places above 4 are usually hard to get, but you can still try.
If you are want to experience somewhere with glamor, Ikyu might be the site to look at.
My friend has a vlog about cheap but delicious restaurants, please check it out!
Which are your favorite quotes or mottos you like to use for inspiration?
Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever.
Would you rather have the power to control objects or animals?
Maybe animals. But rather I would like them to be my friend than to control them.
What turns you off on a date?
Bad table manners. People looking constantly on their phones. And I simply don’t consider people as a potential partner, if I don’t have fun with them. Doesn’t matter how great they are, I need to have fun with them.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Nayu. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Pure intentions and elegance and empathy are elements I find sexy. If a person with those traits would me, I’d immediately fall in love.
I have always been into fitness, sports and an active lifestyle because I used to be a basketball varsity athlete in high school and college. My typical workouts include strength training, boxing, Muay Thai, yoga and pilates. I usually workout around 5-6 days per week.
Do you have any guilty pleasures when it comes to food?
My guilty pleasures are pizza, cookies and donuts! But because I practice flexible dieting and generally healthy eating, I don’t feel guilty when I eat these. I do it in moderation, just like how we should with all types of food.
How is your fashion style like and where do you love to shop from?
My style is laid-back, a little classy but trendy at times. I like wearing outfits that complement my body, which I work hard for in my training. I am not picky when it comes to stores. I can shop in thrift shops, department stores or branded ones too.
If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?
I hope people will value nature and the whole ecosystem because the earth can survive without us, but us humans cannot survive without it.
Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?
My most embarrassing moments came from instances where I let my emotions overrule my thinking. I think many women can relate to this. Haha!
Would you rather be able to taste colors or see smells?
See smells.
What turns you off on a date?
Cannot carry a conversation.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Patricia. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Being sexy means that you fully accept all your flaws and weaknesses. It means that you are confident enough to have them in your life and still have the positivity to focus on all your strengths. It’s being able to roll with all the challenges in life and still come out with a smile in your face.
Thank you so much for featuring me! Well to start off I’m an actress, singer, and model from Southern California. I started getting into the entertainment industry when I turned 18.
How did you get started into performing and being a model?
I’ve always wanted to be a performer but I was told to wait until I was 18. So once I turned 18, I looked up some YouTube videos about how to get into acting and modeling and drove up to LA for auditions. I just kind of threw myself in head first.
Which is a memorable or unforgettable experience on camera you have had that you can share with us?
I was shooting a photography book and I had a heavy wig on as well as multiple layers of clothing on a hot summer day in Los Angeles. I started to feel slightly dizzy but thought I was just tired so I kept going. Next thing I knew I was on the floor with people looking over me handing me a cold water bottle. Apparently, I’m prone to fainting haha.
What is the best compliment you have received?
One time I was doing some bikini shoots in a hot tub at an apartment complex at night and a little girl who couldn’t have been more than 7 or 8 years old came over and told me I looked beautiful. I probably blushed more than I had in my life at that moment.
If you could collaborate with anyone past or present, who will it be?
There are so many people I would love to collaborate with but the first that comes to mind is Vampira. She was a horror icon back in the day. I just loved her overall look and aesthetic.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of an adrenaline junkie are you?
Probably a 1. I get so anxious I can’t even imagine bungee jumping for “fun”.
Would you rather have the power to control objects or animals?
I would love to have the power to control objects if we’re talking telekinesis. Do you know how easy it would be if I never had to get up to get the remote anymore?
What turns you off on a date?
If a guy talks too much about himself. Confidence is great but there’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance. If he only brings up his accomplishments and doesn’t ask about my own, I’m not interested in continuing the conversation.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Lindsey. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
I’d have to say sexy is definitely a state of mind and overall energy. I find people of all shapes and sizes sexy. It comes down to how you present yourself and how you feel about your own sexiness that makes you sexy.
I have a radio play coming out soon called JJ Flask: Private Eye. It’s a detective noir that we shot as a photography book but are now releasing a narrated version of the book. It will be coming out on the “Blinky500” YouTube channel pretty soon.”
I am from a province in the Philippines called Baliuag, Bulacan but I usually spend my time in Metro Manila because here is the center of my work.
Was fashion always a part of your life since you were a child growing up?
Yes. It has always been a part of me because when I was a little, my mom always dressed me up like a model on the television so now that I am all grown up, I have learned on how to style myself with the help of the people and the environment that I’ve been seeing every day.
Where do you get your fashion inspiration from?
There are too many people to mention actually. I am always fond of checking various sites wherein they feature fashion travellers and I am inspired or should I say influenced by their styles. It’s not that I copy their styles and outfits but I am always looking for the aura and the impact of their clothing through pictures.
I make it to the point that I make my own statement, depending on my mood and personality. I love to mix and match—from fabrics to colors to styles. With that, my learning still continues up to this day because there will always be a trend when it comes to fashion.
Do you have any other hobbies or interests?
Of course I do! Aside from traveling and fashion styling, I also love to cook (usually Italian), I also do reviewing and promoting beauty products online under PR/Marketing companies/agencies because skincare and makeup are the things that I am in to nowadays.
When I have my free time, I work as an online tutor to various university students that mainly focus on Arts and Humanities. I also teach Math online, specifically Algebra and Geometry. I used to do voice overs, acting gigs as well because I was part of a theater guild when I was in high school and college. So yeah, there are pretty much things that I want and love to do.
If you could travel back in time, is there something you will like to experience or change?
If I will be given a chance to go back or change something in the history or in the past, I will not change anything because I am myself right now because of what I’ve been through. Good or bad, I am thankful that I have experienced all of those because for me, learning is a process wherein you have to at least make mistakes for you be honed and shaped for the future.
What is your fashion style like and where do you usually shop at?
Green and orange are not my best friends. When I travel I usually go for nude, mauve, blue palettes. Sometimes, I am hippie, then there are days I want to be sultry but most of the clothes that I wear are purely chic fashion style. For some days, I am being experimental. I’m trying bohemian, artsy or vintage fashions that will surely suit my personality and body.
I think you wouldn’t believe that I am a fan of thrift shopping but in reality, I am. There are a lot of nice clothes out there waiting for you. You just have to find and try them on. I usually shop at Forever21, H&M, Mango, and other shops similar to those but ever since the pandemic came to our lives, I am considering shopping online as well.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of a risk taker are you?
I am in the max of 10. I know there are disadvantages of being a risk taker but I think being adventurous and curious has always been in me. If I fail, my thinking is that at least I’ve tried. There are a lot of famous people today that they won’t be famous, rich and successful if they didn’t take a risk for once in their life.
What is a funny or lame attempt a guy has tried to know you?
In my social media accounts, I have always put my email address to my bio or profile for the people who wants to collaborate and work with me won’t have to slide in my inbox anymore but instead will be directed to my inbox mail which I really use for my personal and business matters.
One time I was scrolling through my mail and I saw a message from a stranger stating that he wants to know me more and be friends with me. I was a bit surprised because the message was composed in a very formal way as if he’s pitching a business idea to me. I don’t consider it lame. In fact, it was funny and I appreciate the effort of that guy who approached me through my email posted on my Instagram account.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Camille. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Being sexy for me is more than just the physical or what our naked eyes can see. It is more of sense of humor for me. Having someone be engaged in your conversation and make it last forever is sexy. Eyes, themselves, are sexy. It depends to people on how angle they will look at it.
Right now, I am working under Brandbuzz as an online influencer. It is a PR/Marketing company that promotes known brands all over the world. Stay tuned and visit my Instagram profile for I will be posting there from time to time. I will be also posting my OOTDs from my travels since I am also working as an International Flight Attendant.
Hola! I am Rislen Dela Cruz, a 24-year-old theater actress from the Philippines. Usually the life of the party is what my friends and family would say. Also an aspiring influencer/vlogger and a Psychology graduate but hey, I can’t read minds! 🙂
How long have you been a theater actress and what do you enjoy about acting?
So I started when I was 12 and until now, nothing keeps me sane except for my dog and my passion for theater acting. I enjoy every single bit of it. From tireless rehearsal nights up until the actual nerve wracking performances. I enjoy learning and teaching, most likely the reason why at the age of 24, I still am craving to act, dance, sing and perform.
It is also because of the people I work with, the experiences and the lessons that I have gained helped me to become someone that my 12 year old self would be really proud of.
What is a memorable acting experience you have had before?
Well, I have been acting for almost half of my life and I can say that all are memorable because every show/performance is always different. Not unlike in television, theater acting has no cuts, pauses or retakes. Once you are on that stage, all you can do is show your audiences the fruits of your labor.
Is there any food or drink you can’t live without?
Water of course! Need I say more???
If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?
For me it would be how society can easily dictate what a person can or cannot do, would or would not be. People nowadays allow this to happen simply because it is what they grew up with or the so called norm which sometimes does not apply to our current times anymore. We badly need an innovative and healthy approach.
Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?
Yes! I have been in love with someone who turned out gay and made a crying vlog about it. Don’t get me wrong, I love and support LGBTQ. It’s just that he made me believe that we were going to work but on our first date after years of knowing each other, he bailed on me then I found out that he lied and was just out with his guy friends. At first I thought he was just vain or something but now I can confirm with his social media accounts that he is now really out in the open.
Would you rather be able to taste colors or see smells?
Any would do for as long as I still got my senses intact. Lol.
What turns you off on a date?
Liars, arrogance, men who talk negatively about their exes and play the victim. I mean, have some respect for the girl.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Rislen. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexy is when someone appreciates him or herself and does not give a damn on what others would say. Whatever you do, people will have something to say. So just live your life and be happy for as long as you are not stepping on someone else’s toes!
Thank you for having me. It is indeed a pleasure to be interviewed by you. I’m Shaine Cabrito, a social media influencer based in Manila, Philippines. I am an outgoing person who loves to spend time exploring what the Philippines and the rest of the world has to offer.
What is your fashion style like and where do you love to shop from?
My favorite fashion/go-to style would be wearing baggy pants with a pair of white sneakers. I love how versatile this combo is, you can easily pair it with either plain tops, etc. On the other hand, I buy most of my clothes at Zara because of its unique style and quality.
Do you have any hobbies and interests?
I am currently learning on how to play the piano. On the other hand, as mentioned above, I love to travel around the world. My favorite country so far is Japan <3.
To be honest, I already miss traveling. I miss the feeling of wandering around the streets of an unknown country and exploring its culture. Hope this pandemic gets better already.
Which 3 things do you enjoy doing most in the city you live in?
Trying out different restaurants, coffee shops and going to art museums.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of a risk taker are you?
6.
If you could meet anyone past or present, who will it be?
I would love to meet my past self (at around the age of 18-20 years old) and give her advice on how to handle adulthood.
Would you rather have super sensitive taste or super sensitive hearing?
Super sensitive taste.
What do you not get about guys?
Cheating!! Like I don’t even understand the point of talking/hitting on other girls even though they already have a wife/girlfriend/fiancé. If they have problems with their partner, they should talk it out and fix it.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Shaine. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
My definition for “sexy” would be having confidence and intelligence. If you have both of these, no one will be able to stop/intimidate you.
I’m Ruth Azenath Yap, currently a student taking up Art Studies in University of the Philippines. I started exploring the things I like doing a lot last year and now I am a content creator, social media manager and a graphic designer who is based in the Philippines.
What inspires your fashion style and where do you love to shop from?
My fashion style is actually inspired a lot by my friends. I have tons of friends who are also in the field of arts and most of the time…they would put up an outfit for me! Me and my friends love thrift shopping a lot which also led us to open our own Instagram thrift shop last year.
How much of a foodie are you and what are your favorites?
I looove food so much. I think desserts have a special place in my heart. I can skip all my meals but I can never skip on dessert. I love eating ice cream and gelato the most! If you would also consider coffee a part of this, I think coffee will win over my heart.
Do you have any hobbies or interests?
As an art student. my hobby is actually drawing and writing. Although I rarely write nowadays. Some of my other hobbies are singing, playing the guitar and doing random photoshoots.
Which 3 things do you recommend every tourist to experience in the city you live in?
Theree of the things I recommend for tourists to experience are all inside Intramuros in Manila. They should go around Intramuros and experience the different food, the architecture and the culture inside it as it really gives you a glimpse of how things used to be.
Have you been in an embarrassing situation that is funny now when looking back?
I cannot really think of anything for this, except for the times I would always bump when riding in a jeepney back then. My height is 5’10 by the way, so whenever I will ride or go down from a jeep, I would always always bump my head on the ceiling!
If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?
If I could learn anything in this world, I would really love to learn how to not give a damn about what other people think about me. I know that a lot of us struggle with this, and learning this would just make life so much more lighter.
What do you not get about guys?
I just do not get how you can send them a text with multiple important points, but the only one they’ll reply to is the least important question you were asking.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Azen. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
I would define sexy as being comfortable in the things that you love wearing.
Greetings! It’s my pleasure to be here! I’m Eallane Cuestas, my friends call me ‘Sayli’. A 19 year old Engineering student, Vlogger and a Social Media Influencer/Content Creator who believes that strong women rule the world, from Lipa, Batangas Philippines. I love doing make ups, dressing up, reading books and watching series in my downtime.
How is your fashion style like and where do you draw inspiration from?
I love wearing coats, boots, high heels and handbags! I love the feeling that my outfit is minimal yet powerful! I love watching YSL Fashion shows and they are my outfit inspiration.
Do you follow a strict beauty regime to look so wonderful?
My friends calls me high maintenance but for me, not really. Cleanse in the morning and evening, toner, serum, facial oil, moisturizer, eye cream and the most important is the sunscreen! (can’t live without UV protection). These are all part of my daily routine. I shower my hair four times a week and shower my body everyday.
I don’t want my hair to be damaged by shampoo so I only need to shampoo four times a week as I do not have a terribly oily scalp. Perfume is the most essential for my everyday regime and I feel naked without it. I love the scent of fruity sprays and vanilla perfumes! Always have my water at my side too because water helps your skin moisture. Stay hydrated!
On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?
10! I really really love foods! My comfort zone is eating. My favorites are pizza, chips and yogurts by the way.
If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?
I would like to see the world where peace is everywhere.
The abuse of children and women in society.
Abuse is beyond the ability of children to defend themselves.
We, as a community, must assume responsibility for providing adequate care and affection to children. We should instill in them self-assurance and a sense of security in their places. The effects of serious verbal, emotional, physical and sexual violence may last a lifetime. We have to put a stop to it!
Imagine living a world in peace and love. *smile*
Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?
When I was in high school I had a puppy crush named Ian! Lmao, I’m too young that time. I always stalked my happy crush, putting love letters in his locker and taking stolen photos of him while in our school canteen. I even printed out his face and put it on my notebook so I will have an inspiration to study and now I found it embarrassing and at the same time creepy!
I’m so sorry to my happy crush that time, can’t imagine I did that when I was in high school. That’s the most funniest and embarrassing moment I did in the past.
Would you rather be able to taste colors or see smells?
I want to taste colors! Imagine tasting colors, “Oh, that’s my purple wallet, hmmmm bites”
What turns you off on a date?
This is a funny question, lol.
Disrespect expressed in a variety of ways is the greatest turnoff for me. Before I even begin talking, he is not listening, interrupting and wearing a dismissive and sarcastic expression on his face like he feels like, “I’m the big guy here, let me do the talk” stuff makes me walk away in a minute. Always talking and showing off himself is a big no for me. I’m not into vain guys.
Also a guy who is disrespectful to staffs and servers in our date is a major turn off. It’s possible that how you treat others will predict how you will treat me in the future, and being rude will be a major red flag.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Eallane. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
You might call me a “sapiosexual” but intelligence is my definition of sexy. I find it really relaxing to have a mentally stimulating discussion with someone. The way she/ he shares her/his beliefs and ideas. All would accept that having a great body is desirable.
There are no doubts that being fit is beneficial. But intelligence? Oh God! It’s completely and utterly sexy to me. Knowledge is unrivaled. Nothing beats intelligence for me. Nothing. Period.
Fashion for me is all about how it feels and how I look in it. I can buy something for 10.00 from Walmart or 100.00 from a name brand but it’s all about how I pull it off. I am not one for name brands so I’ll wear anything if it feels right to me.
Comfort and anything minimalist simple and classy are inspirations for my fashion. I follow a variety of fashion brands from Zara to the latest desi wear.
How will you describe a typical day like for yourself?
There is no typical day with Covid anymore but I work remotely from home with a normal 8-5. I work out religiously and practice self care throughout the day. My self care can consist of my skin care routine to take breaks from social media and work to recharge.
I also take time to be spiritual and stay close to my roots and family especially living physically far away from them it helps keep me grounded.
Do you follow a beauty regime strictly?
For my beauty regime, I drink water and eat healthy food as much as possible. I believe I look and feel better when I’m watching what I put into my body. I also use cold water or ice on my face in the mornings to help with depuffing of the skin.
During the night time, that is when I become extensive with my skin routine. I use my serums and oils recommended by my dermatologist and massage my face.
Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?
I would love to travel more, however I have not been able to due to Covid. As a Sagittarius, it is something I crave and I’m hoping to go back to doing so. I also would like to collaborate with more brands for my lifestyle page (such as skincare, beauty, fashion, etc).
On a scale of 1-10, how much of an adventurer are you?
I’m a true 9-10 on the adventure side.
Would you rather have the ability to stop time or read minds?
Neither, I would have the ability to take away people’s pain.
What do you not get about guys?
One thing I do not get about guys is their lack of communication (LOL).
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Hamda. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexy is self confidence. It’s the ability to be true to yourself and love it. Loving the skin you’re in is key to being sexy
