What inspires your fashion style and where do you love to shop from?
When I’m looking for fashion inspiration, I find myself scrolling on Pinterest. My style is more on the girly side but add comfort to that! Being more on the petite side does limit where I can shop from. If you’re on the petite side- I definitely recommend local thrift stores and Rue 21. Side note: I love to shop anywhere where there is clearance or a sale!!
Do you have any hobbies or interests?
I love the arts! Drawing, Painting, Video Editing, and Photography Editing are the main forms of art that I love. I’m self-taught on all, which I think makes the spark never go away cause I’m constantly learning new things.
Which is the best compliment you have received?
For me, the best types of compliments to receive are ones about my heart or character traits. Personally, I think the more meaningful compliments have to do within. It shows that they really getting to know you and that they are sincere.
How will you describe a typical day like for yourself?
I do content creating full-time, because of that I split up my workload between Monday-Friday. Content creating allows me to create my own schedule and my own work hours. Being my own boss is pretty cool! Mondays are strictly content-creating days. Wednesdays I upload my YouTube Videos/Podcasts. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday are used for editing. Since my work is all online, I like to end my workday at 4 pm – that way my mind can relax and I can step away from all the technology.
Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?
I’m obsessed with watching Food Network and I think it would be really cool to sculpt and decorate a cake! Cake decorating is a form of art – and I love art – so I think this would be fun!
Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?
Absolutely! It’s a part of growing up. When you get older – fewer things bother you and you can just laugh off the things that used to
What do you not get about guys?
Hmmm, interesting question cause all guys are different. Maybe – why do some guys think they always have to put on this “tough” persona. Emotions aren’t just a “girl thing”. To be honest I think it’s so cute when a guy shows their softer side. After all, the heart is the best way to get to know somebody!

Hey there, thanks for the feature (: To let you guys know a little bit about me, I am currently still an undergraduate in Singapore, who has a passion for films and series of most forms apart from horror. I adore fashion, music, reading and ice skating so perhaps you will be able to catch me on ice!
What inspires your fashion style and where do you love to shop from?
I first started feeling more conscious about what I was wearing and tried to find my personal style when I was about 15-16. Since then, I think my style has evolved over the years thanks to some of the content creators I follow online, and I also get inspiration from my peers who dress really well.
I believe in the mixing high- and low-end pieces as I’m currently still a student, so I have to pick and choose wisely where I want to spend my money when it comes to clothes. As for my go to shops, I would normally pop into Zara or the Editor’s market, if not I would thrift for some pieces in Lucky Plaza, and make a purchase on Shein or ASOS.
Do you have a lifestyle or fashion hack that you can’t live without?
I honestly don’t think I can live without my guasha anymore haha. I got a guasha for the first time earlier this year and I really enjoy using it almost every morning. In the past when I used to take photos, I felt that my face looked really bloated in them and I thought that it was because of weight gain, etc. It turns out that a big reason for the bloating was because of the fluids trapped around my jawline which can be drained using a guasha. Even if I’m just lying to myself about my appearance, using a guasha is a very therapeutic and calming process to do in the mornings, I use it on my shoulders as well to ease out tension which is great!
Which 3 things do you enjoy doing most in the city you live in?
Living in Singapore, I think most of us can agree that eating out is one of the best things to do because there are so many options. I like to explore and discover new F&B establishments in order to find my next favorite café or dine in spot, at the moment it’s still Grain Alley.
Apart from lots of eating, I love to head to the beach or be poolside with some of my friends to just tan and relax. I think a fresh tan has always suited me better as compared to a fairer complexion haha
Lastly, I finally decided to continue ice skating again this summer, after stepping into the rink for the first time in a few years I knew it was something I had to do regularly and work on. Ever since, I’ve been to the rink at least once every week and I’m seriously considering purchasing a pair of ice skates again. I’m glad that I can still remember the basics from my trainings as a kid and I hope to improve slowly on my own through practice.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?
Oh this is easy, 10 for sure, I live to eat, not eat to live. I mean who doesn’t love to eat especially when there are so many options to choose from, I struggle to pick just one favorite cuisine. At the moment Thai food is definitely at the top of my list because I am craving the roadside boat noodles I had in Bangkok, and I can’t find something similar anywhere in Singapore.
If you can have a super power, what will it be?
If I could have any superpower, I would love to be able to teleport. As simple and cliché as it sounds, being able to teleport will save me a lot of time that I desperately need. Obviously, that also means that I won’t have to worry about paying for flights and travel would be much easier, but I have no idea how I’m going to explain this superpower of mine to the immigration authorities. Lastly, being able to teleport ensures that I can be with my loved ones at any given moment when they need me, and in these times, I think all of us need it more than ever.
What kind of music are you into and do you have any favorite artists?
Not bound to a single genre as it depends on the day and mood but a few of my favorites will include jazz, pop, R&B, classical, and rock. I would sell my soul to watch Michael Bublé or Beyoncé in person, and if we could bring back people from the dead Queen, Amy Winehouse, and Louis Armstrong are at the top of my list as well, along with many others.
What turns you off on a date?
The first thing that comes to mind is bad table manners or rude behaviour towards service staff. I think this is an extremely crucial indicator of one’s character and it is an immediate red flag for me. Additionally, though it is not exactly a ‘turn off’ I think that if the date ends up being a fairly silent one, I will probably never see the same person again haha. I believe that I do my best to strike up a conversation or at least keep it going, but if there is nothing for me to go off on then I’d probably stop trying too.

I think being comfortable and confident is extremely sexy. The people that I look up to are very comfortable with who they are, and I think its admirable how unapologetic they are for just being themselves. My name is Giorgia Vecchini, and maybe you know me for my activity as a cosplayer, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg of my theater activity which extends also to being a voice talent for dubbing, audio recordings, theater and diction teaching, podcast, radio and everything you can think you could do with the voice.
I’ve also been a singer in the Eurobeat scene, with two songs published in the Eurobeat collections.
I’m a big expert of everything nerdy and pop about the 80s and I’m also a collector of things about anime, but not only, from the 80s and the 90s.
I currently hold the Guiness World Record for the largest Creamy Mami memorabilia collection.
How is your fashion style like and where do you draw your fashion inspiration from?
Well, I think you could define my style as casual, and my inspiration comes mainly from the 80s for which I have an endless love encompassing every aspect of my life, including my attire.
Of course what I draw from the 80s is what can be reinterpreted in the years we are living in, so no large shoulders, no too bright, fluo or glitter colors because I don’t want to look out of time, but there are elements I gladly pick and mix with modern ones. An example might be black leather leggings which I often pair with furry leg warmers and or a short skirt (a short skirt with leg warmers is one of the quintessential 80s looks).
Another thing I really love is one shoulder tops.
And then I like to throw my passion for anime, manga and pop culture (in a word, my nerd self) into the mix, wearing nerd themed T-shirts. I usually try to avoid the “loud” print of the character and I rather go for hidden references, writings, outlines, silhouettes, anything that brings the reference to the mind, instead of the “in your face” image.
I think it’s more chic and I also like to tease the memory of those looking, because it’s not so immediately evident, but when they get there the effect is way better.
And of course I try to keep up with the current trends. There are brands that I particularly love, one being for sure Denny Rose, which I’ve been following for quite a long time now and which manages to be both young and elegant while meeting my specific taste.
How long have you been modeling and what genres do you specialize in?
Well, I’ve been a cosplayer first, and that started in ‘97, so it has been more than 20 years now. Now although I’m slowly phasing out of the “playing” part, I’m still in the organization circle as artistic director, organizer and presenter for events.
I’m still modeling only from time to time, because when I used to do that, the photo shootings were in some ways always related to cosplaying or wearing a particular attire, like a female Santa Claus, a Japanese kimono or even something I am not usually drawn to like the goth look or the fancy elegant dress.
Nowadays I happen to have some modeling photo sessions, but they are more focused on trendy looks with the occasional shooting to advertise some nerdy T-shirts line.
Which is a memorable acting experience you have had so far?
If we are leaving out the performance with which I won the World Cosplay Summit, I had a pretty memorable experience filming “Gamers”, a sit-com for Gamestop which aired in their retail points throughout Italy for a few years.
I was this character that crashed the scene always to a comical effect.
Another experience I remember fondly is “Base Luna” (“Moon Base”), a late night show for the Italian national TV RAI, for which I interpreted the waitress of the space restaurant that was the main setting of the show.
It was a very versatile character that allowed me to wear a lot of different costumes in a wide array of situations ranging from a parody of the TV miniseries Romanzo Criminale to the bored, underpaid waitress, so it was really interesting to be there.
With so many interests and projects you have, how is a typical day like for yourself?
This is a very difficult question, because I really don’t have a typical day or a routine.
There are some periods of the year that go some ways and others are completely different.
During the lockdown, for example, I found myself doing something I had never thought I could, like being a teacher which of course led to a very different lifestyle from when I’m getting ready for an event or when I’m writing texts for a theater play or for one of the magazines I write for.
A period like this, for example is heavily focused on loads and loads of e-mails sent to various organizations to get ready for the next season of cosplay events that is going to start in September.
I might not look so, but an event extends far beyond the two or three days of the stage time, and everything has to be set well in advance to be ready at the right time.
The “get on stage” period is quite different, since I might go somewhere for two or three days for an avent, come back for just one day and then set off for another round somewhere else.
This frantic routine can go on for months.
Do you miss cosplaying now that you don’t do it anymore?
No, not really.
First of all, I’m still in the loop as a presenter/organizer/expert, and secondly, the current state of the cosplay scene doesn’t reflect who I am and my approach to cosplay, so I don’t feel represented by the current protagonists of the scene.
The only regret I have is that I’m having a hard time separating my two personas, Giorgia Vecchini and Giorgiacosplay.
Despite not using my stage name any more, despite not wearing cosplays at events and gatherings and despite the fact that when I’m there I’m no longer there as a performer, but as a presenter or sometimes as an expert for panels, it is very difficult to get rid of the Giorgiacosplay overlay.
Maybe I’ve been Giorgiacosplay for so long that everybody remember me with that name.
I don’t want to recant the Giorgiacosplay phase, but I feel there’s so much more I can give and that is pushing to come out after living so many years in the shadows.
I hope, with time, to be able to convey this.
If you could time travel, what will you like to witness or experience?
Wow, this is a though one.
If I’m just a spectator, I think I would like to witness the asteroid impact that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs.
It must have been a blast.
What do you not get about the opposite sex?
There may be a lot of things, but on top of my head, I think I don’t get how they could ever find beautiful or attractive a woman who just woke up, with all her hair all over the place and a look that to me resembles Linda Blair in The Exorcist.
That will always be my “other great mystery of the universe” as Doc Brown would say.

If you are asking what I define sexy in someone else, well it’s an ensemble of qualities, not necessarily all physical, that somehow can get me involved.
Something along the teachings of Prince Akeem in Coming to America, when he said “I want a woman who will arouse my intellect as well as my loins.”
I have to be able to feel the affinity and the mutual discovery and the curiosity for each other, even despite different interests.
And the voice. Nothing beats a well structured, even a bit hoarse.
But sometimes, being sexy is something you don’t even realize and is made of many little unconscious details.
And let’s not forget that all this is personal: things that are sexy for someone can be the opposite for someone else. It’s all very relative.
I’m a teenager living in Oslo, Norway. This year I’m starting 11th grade, where I will have a main focus on math and science. Growing up I did dance, acting, and gymnastics, however, it feels like I’ve tried just about every sport…everything from football to swimming to archery.
School and family have always been two important factors in my life. So naturally, my sister and I grew up pretty close. We have never really fought, and if we did it would be about silly things like; who’s hairbrush it is. My family loves adventures so whenever we could we visited other places or countries. We’ve been a lot in South Europe, especially in Italy and France. I think this is also the reason we got a boat.
We’ve had a boat as long as I can remember, and I can’t remember not being by the ocean. The boat/ocean part of the family definitely comes from my dads’ side. I’ve been told a thousand times growing up that I’m a replica of my dad. From how I look to my interests. I love whenever someone points it out because my dad’s a replica of his dad, and it makes me proud to be compared and told that I look like my grandpa.
How is your fashion style like and where do you take inspiration from?
I don’t really know how to describe my fashion style because it changes so much. During the summer I have the ‘surfer girl’ type of fashion, but during winter I just look like any other Norwegian girl in their big jackets… it gets cold here:/ I like being bold, and not doing what everyone else is doing, but sometimes that’s kinda scary…
I get inspiration from so many places, there’s not only one person I can say. One of the main ones must be Harry Styles. I love how he challenges the barriers this society has set, and I’m inspired by his courage. However, most of my inspiration comes from social media, everything from TikTok to Instagram to Pinterest.
Do you follow a regular beauty or exercise regime?
I ‘retired’ from gymnastics this March so up until then I just did what my coach told me to do, but after I ‘retired’ I didn’t know what to do so I didn’t do anything for a while. At the moment I go to the gym every day, and I run for about 30/45 min and then do some exercises with my body weight.
When it comes to beauty, I don’t really do much, I just let my skin do whatever it wants… I wash my face and put on some moisturizer.
Is there any food or drink you absolutely don’t take?
I’m lactose intolerant and I’m allergic to tomatoes so I don’t eat that for obvious reasons. I’ve also noticed that my stomach can’t process a lot of wheat, so I try to not eat buns and stuff like that. Recently I’ve tried to not eat/drink a lot of milk products just to see how that will affect my body. I still eat butter, sometimes cheese, and similar stuff, I just don’t drink milk or eat food with a high percentage of milk.
Which 3 things do you love doing most in the city you live in?
There’s a lot of stuff that I love about my city, but if I have to choose three things it must be; the ability to travel everywhere, nature, and the fact that I have close access to everything.
Living in the capital of Norway definitely has its perks, I have the train station and the airport pretty close by.
Norway has such a pretty nature, and Oslo has everything from parks to forests.
Like I said living in the city has its perks, one of them also being that we have stores for everything, and I can travel to just about every family member without problems.
If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?
I would love to learn how to speak with animals… I think that we can learn a lot from them and their perspective on the world. I could also understand what my dog tries to say every 5 minutes…
Which flavor best describes you?
That’s such a weird question that I’ve never thought about before. I would say a mix of the ocean and coconut since my shampoo/conditioner and deodorant are coconut scented, and I use a fair share of time by the ocean.
What turns you off on a date?
A few things turn me off. One of those is if they’re late without an explanation. Another massive turn of is if they’re disrespectful to their family, friends, or surroundings.

Which is a memorable photoshoot you have had before?
My most memorable photo shoot so far has been when I went to California with my photographer. There were seven other photographers that met us there and about 15 other girls. It was my first time going to California but the whole experience was so amazing. I ended up getting over 200 photos back from that trip, I had the opportunity to work with some of the best photographers and explore new places!
How do you balance your personal family time and modeling commitments and be successful at both?
It’s very easy for me, I know at a certain point of the day that I need to give my time to my son and husband so I put my phone down and enjoy their presence. Even when I don’t have a choice but to work all day, I make sure to include them in between my work.
If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?
I would say learning how to be the best at continuous learning would be my choice.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of a risk taker are you?
Definitely a 10! Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always been fearless. It’s like I knew what I wanted in life and I knew I was going to achieve it at some point because of how determined and motivated I am.
Do you have any favorite hobbies or past times?
I love spending quality time with my family and doing the things we love to do, like hunting and fishing. I used to race dirt bikes in different states. I had a strong passion for that for most of my life as a kid. I also picked up on painting not to long ago, I love painting, it’s also been something that I’ve been enjoying doing on my own time.
What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?
I’ve honestly always stayed to myself mostly growing up. I’m now married and we have a son together but he never attempted to know me or anything before getting to know me!

Hi! My full name is Juliela Samantha Ysabel, and simply go by as “Sam”. I am a Performance/Theater Artist and a Commercial Model in the Philippines. I also stream horror games on my page on Facebook from time to time!

What inspired you to be a model and how long have you been modeling?
I have been modeling since 2017. I got inspired to modeling through my love for dancing. I practiced Vogueing before and attended the first Philippine Vogue Ball and joined the categories. From there, someone had piqued an interest in me and that’s where it all started. From there, I invested in enrolling in workshops for modelling and theater.
Being able to express myself through the emotions and poses had made me love modeling. It’s not just posing in front of a camera, I get to create a story out of the concept in the process and also play a character to portray in a still photo.

Have you ever felt nervous in front of the camera before?
In print modeling, not exactly no. But, doing commercial modeling and acting in front of a camera did make me a little bit nervous since there are more intricate details needed when doing video shoots, e.g. knowing where to favor your face on the camera, saying my lines, etc.
How will you describe a typical day like for yourself?
Not a day goes by that I don’t submit auditions for commercial ads or tv acting for potential projects. Always hustling hard!
Do you have any hobbies or interests?
I love playing video games or dancing randomly in the house. I also did cross-stitching or color painting during my past times. I love watching films and anime, but in terms of being physically active, I looove Muay Thai. I also love outdoor sports such as volleyball, bicycling, roller blades, etc. But, since the pandemic, I usually try to keep myself physically active by doing home workouts and Yoga.

Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?
Oh, studying stocks and cryptocurrency! It takes a lot of time to actually learn and get into these stuff because of all the numbers and such.

Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?
A lot of times, yes! To name one, I was at a beach with family and friends and I got really hooked on drinking cold Jaegermeister that it got me so drunk I forgot most of what happened that night. My sister told me that I kept on asking the same questions to her every five minutes. I remember that I was throwing up that night, and my friends found it funny that I was crying and kept saying, “I don’t want to drink anymore” and continued crying and throwing up.
The last thing I remembered was waking up on my bed in my hotel room, having no idea how I got there and why there was coffee on the table. And I remembered thinking that it was such a waste for someone to leave a good coffee and not finishing drinking it that I told my cousin about it. She told me that coffee was mine LOL. I DIDN’T REMEMBER ANYTHING AT ALL THAT NIGHT HAHA.

What is a funny attempt a guy has tried to know you?
There was this one time, my sister and I attended a gaming event, and a guy tried to hit on me by sending out drinks and food to our table and invited us to sing karaoke. Me who is always g, said yes and invited my sister, but she was too busy. There were two girls in the karaoke room and two of the guys — and the guy who invited me tried to hold my waist (and probably something more since he tried multiple times), but I was like “nope, noooo. I was just here for the karaoke”, until I left the room essentially because it was making me uncomfortable.
For everyone out there, please be reminded that being nice doesn’t mean a girl or someone is asking to be hit on or more. 🙂

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Sam. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
I may be bias for this, but for me, I define sexy as something that attracts me not just physically, but intellectually. Sexy for me is someone confident, charming and funny at the same time. And ooh, a gentleman of course.
But physically speaking, sharp jawlines and lean fit guys is sexy to me haha!
