My name is Sarah Rivera. I am an androgynous model from Manhattan, New York. I am 27 years young and of Puerto Rican/ Greek decent. You can find many of my handles such as Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter: @Sarah_inspired.
How will you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style is almost always a representation of who I am. I like the androgynous look, because it allows me to emanate an empowered strong woman while also wearing “menswear”. I believe fashion should never be labeled “masculine” or “feminine” and should push the boundaries of the societal norm.
Fashion should be true to who you are as an individual. A woman is most confident in what she feels good in, (and for a six foot tall woman like myself), “menswear” has always been my go to.
What hobbies and interests are you into?
I’ve always been a huge fan of theatre and the arts. Practically anything creative, you will find me doing. I play the piano, sing, act, dance, write, and paint on my free time. Choosing just one hobby as a favorite, would be a hard task, as all are my passion.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?
I’d say I’m a 4 since I am highly introverted. I’d rather enjoy a trip to the museum or attend a “paint and sip” event. When I do choose to go out, I definitely know how to have a good time, however, there are many things I would choose over partying. A good book or Netflix is just fine with me.
What is the best compliment you have received?
I’m not always the best at receiving physical affirmations, so any compliment that I admire is mostly about my intelligence. I like being recognized for my wisdom and talents. Any component pertaining to my hidden abilities, is more validated in my mind.
If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?
I love learning in general, but I’ve come to find, that basic life hacks are what interest me most. How to increase my credit score, ways to budget better, different ways to invest in my future. These are the things that aren’t taught in schools, and these are the things that need to be implemented most. Knowledge in these areas could be well worth learning about.
Which movie did you catch recently and was it any good?
In most cases, if I can’t remember details, it must’ve been pretty high on the rotten tomatoes scale for movies. But sadly, the last movie I saw was “The Lion King” remake and I was extremely disappointed. As someone who grew up on Disney animated classics, a remake of “The Lion King”, just wasn’t necessary. I say, if it isn’t broken, don’t “fix” it.
What turns you off on a date?
The inability to hold a conversation or disinterest in my visions and dreams is quite the turnoff. It is important for me to date someone with similar interests as it helps with conversation. Dishonesty is also not a positive trait to me, and I will quickly gravitate away from that sort of energy.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Sarah. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
“Sexy” is displayed in your demeanor and how you exude confidence. It is sexy when any individual can hold their own and be original in the goals they have for their life. Exude what you want people to see, and be honest about it, that is always a sexy trait.
