YangYin is the combination of Melissa-Jo and Darling Sabrina in an electronic meets classical splicing of genres. Melissa-Jo and Darling Sabrina first met at the Pioneer Digital Battle in 2013. Not only were they the ONLY female DJs at the event, but they were also semi-finalists too. Their join ambition is to bring electronic music to a whole new level whilst mixing it up with classical musical instruments for added visual and entertaining effect.
Both Melissa-Jo and Darling Sabrina are educated as professional musicians. Melissa-Jo is a trained pianist and violin player whereas Darling Sabrina is a skilled drummer. The contrast of their music and their training makes YangYin an eclectic mix of tastes and rhythms culminating in a whole new experience for audiences breaking waves for an entirely unique club genre.
