Let me start by saying thank you for the feature on SimplySxy! My name is Jaylan Layla Osman and I’m originally from North Cyprus, but I have been living in London since I was 2 / 3 years old.

How will you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is very simple but chic, I love working with colour coordinated block colours, then adding little accessories/jewellery to liven up the outfit.

When did your interest in gaming really get started and what games are you into?

It all began when I was around 5 years old, I would always be jealous that my brother would never let me play computer games with him (the times that he did, he would give me the controller but leave it unplugged so it didn’t affect his gameplay, took me a good while to realise why the person I thought was my character wasn’t responding!) so the interest was there from young but as I grew up I wasnt aloud out by myself until around 18 so it turned into a full time hobby for me!

Are there any upcoming games to be launched which you are eagerly anticipating?

I am so excited for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4! COD used to be my game back in the early MW/ BOPS series, to the point I would book a couple weeks off of work just so I could play continuously and get it out of my system, but the futuristic element got a little out of hand for me, so now that they are taking it back to their roots (without going all the way back to WW2), it definitely has my hopes up!

Is there a food or drink you can’t live without?

Fried chicken, oh my that is my weakness! Some good fried chicken can change my whole mood in a matter of minutes, instant happiness! As for the drink I can’t live without, definitely water. I don’t care for alcohol and I only like fizzy drinks when they’re flat so I have water with everything.

If you could be a fictional character, who will it be?

I absolutely love bad females (the type that looks beautiful but they still handle their business), Lara Croft came to mind straight away but Letty from Fast and Furious would have to be my pick.

Would you rather be able to time travel or mind read?

Ooo that’s a good one! I think I would have to chose time travel though, going back in time with the knowledge I have now, I just know i wouldn’t have to worry about making my next mortgage payment again!

What is the lamest pickup line or attempt a guy has tried on you?

“Ay yo babes, come lemme breed you”

South East London is real classy like that.

You’re welcome! My definition of sexy would be somebody that has something about them which is appealing or exciting to you, it could be that they are visually pleasing, or that their mindset is on a deeper level and you just get lost in them sharing their thoughts, now that is damn sexy to me. Nearly anyone can be visually pleasing these days, but finding someone who can open up and share knowledge like that.. so rare.

Greetings to the readers! First of all, I would like to thank SimplySxy to make me a part of this. I am a 19 year old Indonesian girl who loves to sing and share my experience and knowledge with people around me both in real life and on YouTube. How will you describe your fashion style?

I do not have a distinct fashion style as I like to try out new things. Be it a feminine style or boyish kind of look, I don’t really mind.

When did your interest in beauty and makeup start?

I actually realised the need to makeup when I was 17 years old which was when I entered University. Beforehand, I did not really do makeup by myself and I realised that there was an increasing portrayal of beauty by doing makeup. Hence, I started watching more makeup videos and applying makeup. However, I still believe in inner beauty which many girls often forget.

Do you have any must have beauty accessories?

To me, hair is the most important feature for a girl and thus I really need hairbands with me, and bobby pins!

Is there something in life you can’t get enough of?

I can’t get enough of sweet desserts as I have a sweet tooth! No matter how much I have eaten, I will always have space for desserts. You can always challenge me on this!

If you can have a superpower, what will it be?

I will want to have a power that is able to feel through people’s emotions, and make cheer them up.

Where is your dream holiday destination?

Personally, I have no particular dream holiday destination. I think the most important thing is WHO you are going with and the experience during the holiday.

Have you had a bad date experience ever?

As for now, I haven’t and I don’t want that to happen! haha

Well, my name is Thuvan and I’m Vietnamese. I live in the Netherlands which is in Europe. I’ve lived here my whole life and I’m studying at the Rotterdam Business School. I study International Business and Management studies. I’ve always had a passion for creating videos so I’ve recently started a YouTube account which keeps me busy next to school and work.

What is a typical day like for yourself?

If I have to be completely honest.. I sleep/nap/eat all day hahaha. But a typical day is me waking up in the afternoon, search for food, eat food and watch series, go to school and in the evening update my social media/film videos for YouTube or have dinner and hang out with friends.

Which is the most expensive item you have splurged on?

That would be either my phone or my camera. I’m not really that into brand clothing or accessories so my more expensive items are tech items.

Do you have any hobbies?

Dancing, sleeping, creating videos, taking pictures.. fun stuff hahaha.

Is there a favorite quote or motto you live by?

Good vibes only.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you?

I’m pretty sure there are a lot of funny things that have happened to me, but I can’t seem to think of one right now.

If I could be a cartoon character… I would probably be Stewie from Family Guy.

What can a guy do to turn you off on a date?

Acting really insecure/ being unhygienic/ having no manners, being rude to personnel… there’s a lot that turns me off honestly hahaha.

The Lovely Farrah Bui Shares On What Turns Her Off

Hi Farrah, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

No problem, thank you for giving me the opportunity! Well, I’m from Vancouver, Canada and I am currently a full-time university student. I love all things beauty and fashion and fluffy dogs. Also love the non-fluffy ones. I make videos for my YouTube beauty channel during my spare time and love to sing, dance, hike, and spend time with family and friends!

How do you keep yourself updated with the latest beauty and lifestyle trends?

I keep updated by watching my favourite YouTubers talk about their current favourites and I regularly enjoy reading magazines like Cosmopolitan and Elle.

What is your beauty regime like?

It really depends on the day, what I’ll be doing, and what my my mood is like. Some days I love a full face with 1000 different eye-shadow shades blended together and chiseled cheeks, and other days I enjoy nothing but concealer, filled brows, and mascara. But every day always starts with a freshly cleansed face, moisturized skin, and defined eyebrows. I’ve also been into glowing skin lately, so highlighter is a must!

Where can we catch you partying or chilling out on weekends?

When I do have some spare time (on the weekends I’m usually working) I LOVE going to Granville Island in Vancouver. It’s one of my favourite places especially during the spring and summer. I love being outdoors and staying active, but you can also catch me on the weekends snuggled up in bed watching Scandal or a good documentary. I love listening to hip-hop and R&B music so I tend to gravitate towards places that play those genres! You can find me on Sundays anywhere with a special on caesars. I also like to get lit with some extra buttered popcorn at the movie theatre.

Are you more of a morning person or night owl?

I’m definitely more of a night owl. I’d love to pretend that I’m a morning person and sound super productive, but really I get a lot more work done at night, which is interesting considering I get sleepy at around 11 pm.

Best compliment you have ever received?

The best compliment I’ve ever received would have to be from this little boy I was volunteering to read with. We were reading a book about butterflies and he pointed to the butterfly and said “Farrah!” While I don’t know if he necessarily meant it as a compliment, it was a beautiful butterfly and they signify all kinds of beauty, freedom, and transformation which I think are amazing things.

What turns you off?

Smelliness! Please put on some deodorant! Ignorance.. Not everyone knows the same things you know, believes the same things you believe, or has the things you have. I also get turned off by a lack of manners. It’s amazing how far a simple please and thank you can go. Raw onions also turn me off. I always pick them out of a salad.

Most embarrassing thing that has happened to you that seems funny now?

I always somehow seem to put myself into really embarrassing situations or have embarrassing things happen to me. I think it’s just a part of who I am now. When my best friend and I were 18, we called and emailed what seemed like virtually every single bar, pub, or nightclub in Vancouver asking them if they allowed 18 year olds inside their venue (lol). Obviously everyone said no, until this one restaurant said they did allow people under 19 (the British Columbia drinking age) in as long as they didn’t sit at the bar. We thought we could try and get some drinks there. So we go there, and just stood in front of the door for about 5 minutes gathering the courage to go inside and the hostess was like “Um are you coming in…?” and we nervously rushed inside. We sat at a table adjacent to the bar and the first thing the server asked us was to see our IDs.. We were so embarrassed that we left. It’s funny now because we are pretty much grandmas who would rather go eat some honey garlic wings than drink.

It’s been my pleasure answering these great questions! Thanks for featuring me. Sexy to me is being happy in your own skin and not being afraid to laugh at yourself. As simple and cliche as that may sound, it’s hard to get to a place where you’re completely happy and confident with who you are. Some days I feel like Beyonce and some days I feel about as sexy as a sack of potatoes. Sexy to me is also having a sense of humour, rocking a cute outfit whether you’re a size 0 or a size 20, being humble, being open to new experiences, and having the ability to be compassionate and sympathize with others.

What makes YouTuber Minyo unique from the rest?

Hi! I am Vanya Qinthara but people knows me by the name minyo! I am a beauty vlogger/creator/youtuber from Indonesia, and I am also a Founder of Indonesian Beauty Vlogger Community (check on : indobeautyvlogger.com) I love to create anything related to beauty, be it videos, being a makeup artist, making reviews, managing beauty community, etc. so these days I am being excitingly busy with the world of beauty!

Where did the inspiration to make YouTube videos come from?

I took the inspiration to start from many of beauty vloggers from the US, UK, and Australia since I have been their subscribers for years! And then I started my own channel until finally I could found my own style of creating a video.

How much time goes into the entire process of making a video?

It all depends on how intricate I want the videos to be. Sometimes if it is a simple video, it could only take 3 hours from writing down concepts to uploading, or if it is a very complicated video, it could take up to two weeks from writing down concepts to the publish date.

YouTubers are gaining in popularity and there are a lot of people trying their hand in making videos. What makes your videos unique and stand out differently from the rest?

What makes my videos unique is that each and everytime I upload a new video, the quality of the video is always better than the previous. I also have my own style of how to greet and say goodbye to the viewers. The other thing is then on how consistent I am uploading the videos. I have a fixed schedule of uploading, twice every week so that my subscribers can easily find my latest video during that day. Last but not least, I always try to interact with my viewers to give them at least 5 minutes of happiness twice a week (hehe).

What is the latest trend in beauty products and makeup currently?

The latest trend for makeup look in Asia is the Korean look with their puppy eyes, healthy skin and also ombre lips. It is very huge because of how easy the look is and also the look itself is suitable for day and night. As for the beauty products, I must say, eyebrow products! Having good brows for every girl is like the most important thing right now. It is almost like how important it is to own a little black dress, you girls MUST have at least one of it. So, by saying that, all of the beauty brands come out with many innovative, and awesome eyebrow products!

Which are your favourite products you can’t live without?

I must say, liquid eyeliner and my fave lip stick which is MAC MATTE MAUVE! The eyeliner helps my droopy eye have an “illusional” lift, while the lippie I could use for my lip and also as a blush! Both of them are always having a special place in my purse.

How is your skin care regime like to looking so fabulous?

Oh! All of my friends always ask me this as they think my skin is so flawless and nice! I wasn’t even sure whats special from my skin care because I only use moisturizer religiously, and drink nothing else but pure water. (I never like the taste of coke, juice, syrup etc), and use only home made masks that I DIY myself. so maybe that is why I do have a nice looking skin. But, these days I try to incorporate more products such as serum, essence, day cream and night cream , and also eye cream to prevent early aging.

What tips can you give to someone who is planning a night out and going for the sexy and classy look?

Have fun, go crazy with your look! A night out should be a night for you to release your stress! So DON’T stress on how you look too much. Pamper yourself, even on your makeup session, take it as a time of zen. If you have relaxed yourself, then you could decide a super classy and sexy look for you. Be confident with it, as confident girls are the most sexy girls in the world!

If you had the chance to collaborate with anyone, who will it be?

I would love to collaborate with Zoella! She is such a nice person, the way she laughs is so pure that her happiness reflects to her videos!

Do you have any other hobbies?

I do love to draw and paint since I was little! It is always my gateaway from my busy schedule. I love how relaxing it makes me feel and also becomes an outlet for my creativity.

What’s your definition of sexy?

My definition of sexy is NOT by using a tight fit or minimal clothings. My definition of sexy is to be confident with yourself, be happy, be cheerful, and speak out! People could feel the vibe you bring in, make them feel happy and spread your sexy vibe! 😉

How will you describe a typical day like for yourself?

Very busy. As I have to get a well balance (life) between my studies and jobs. There are lots of tests and tutorials meanwhile. Sometimes I feel quite stressful.

Your most memorable highlight or achievement so far?

I joined a champion from HK Fireman 2 years ago. We experienced the real job duties of a fireman. I got the Golden Hatchet from that program.

What’s your beauty regime like?

Just (being) hardworking. There is no ugly girl but (a) lazy girl. This is my beauty regime as always.

Funniest thing that has happened to you?

You know what, I just dropped my iPhone into the toilet when I was typing this interview. Well, I guess this would be the funniest thing (that) has happened to me lately.

Three things you can’t live without in your wardrobe?

T-shirt, jeans and one piece dress are my favourite. They are easy to mix and match, which (is) suitable for lazy people like me.

If you had the chance to join a reality TV show, which will it be?

I would like to join this type of competition. I enjoy the moment when I receive the achievement. I am aggressive since (I was) born! Haha.

What kind of fashion and styles are you into?

Boyish! This is no doubt.

Which is your favourite cartoon character?

Anpanman and James P. Sullivan (Momo) from Monsters Inc.

Where is your dream holiday destination?

Aegean! Haha, most of the (other) girls tend to go somewhere (else) with a sense of romance.

What’s your definition of sexy?

For me, sexy means “hold tight until the last moment”. No matter people may dislike me or look me down. If I can hold tight and stand for myself, this is so called sexy.

Singapore YouTuber & Deejay Jazzy Tan mixes it up!

Looking ever gorgeous, we catch up with Youtuber and Deejay Jazzy Tan as she recommends places to party on weekends in Singapore and how she began her YouTube journey.

Hi Jazzy, thanks for taking the time to answer our questions on SimplySxy. Can you share a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hey you! I am a dreamer who was born on the 12th of March in a tiny island, Singapore. Since young, I’ve always wanted to be in front of the camera, sing or to do something related to the entertainment world to share my talents and content to others! However, I abhor the idea of being tied down to an agency, fixed office hours or listening to orders, so I took it to myself to start my own YouTube channel to upload my content that I dictate and I am lovin’ it so far, only got serious about 3 months back after graduation from NUS.

On the other hand, I am also a multi-faceted human being, so I also host or emcee every weekend for companies like Samsung and deejay at night in clubs/bars.

Currently, I’m entering into the real estate market as an agent too because I dream to own many properties worldwide.

You share quite a few beauty tips on your YouTube channel. How did the inspiration to create videos come about?

I actually started the channel way back in 2010 but I didn’t put any heart into it. I was uploading infrequently and posting whatever… So I thought I needed to be very targeted to grow my channel. I love watching Youtubers like Trisha Paytas, Patrickstarrr and Leendaproductions. They inspire me so much because they are such strong individuals who overcome so much in their lives and how they carry themselves with confidence really impacted me so much to also do that in my channel. Through my videos, other than just talking about beauty, my main message I wanted to exude to my viewers is that ‘you can be anyone, you can do anything and you can live the life you want’! I want people to know that anything is possible. The grind is real but the results will be rewarding!

How long does it take for you to complete one video and does it involve many takes and editing?

It takes a long ass time to get a video edited especially if its not a vlog! Every video takes 5-6hrs for me to edit because I want it to look the perfect way I desire.

For takes…..maybe around 3 takes now that I am getting better at this film myself type process.

Is there a specific diet you are on to having that fabulous body?

NO! In fact I am such a glutton I actually eat a lot more than a lot of my friends. Hehe.

Do you have any guilty pleasures when it comes to food?

YASSSSSS gimme some of that Ben & Jerry Chocolate Therapy!

You have a lovely tattoo on your right shoulder of two roses. Can you share with us the story behind it?

I got it colored recently (still peeling) and let me tell you I was such a whiny bitch when my friend was inking me…….. Like I complained so much about the pain. It’s really an unbearably painful area to get tattooed.

And…..sorry I wish I could make up some juicy story about the roses but no they are just a pair of generic roses on my shoulders for aesthetics haha. I got a hate comment saying how ‘original’ my rose tattoo was, oh wells stupid haters 🙂

Where are some places to recommend for a good party on weekends?

Ouhhh…I love Attica a lot it used to be my second home, like I party till the club goes down! Kyo is another one of my faves on a Thursday ladies night for old school hiphop R&B, the deejay Andrew Chow inspired me to go into deejay business because he made me realize being a deejay is to emit the emotions you want your crowd to feel through the tracks you drop.

How will you describe a perfect date?

Hmmm.. a lot of flirting, skin contact, teasing…..nice sexy outfit in a nice cooling outdoor area facing a nice scenery. Guy in sleek back hair.

My name is Ruby and I’m from Hong Kong. I’m the very first YouTuber in H.K. as I started my YouTube since 2010. Besides, I have been a freelance model since 2009. I like trying new things and taking new challenges. Therefore, I am active on social media now. What’s the craziest thing you have done so far?

The craziest thing…. I would say I ate worm and deep fried insects when I was shooting one of the TV show from cable TV H.K. (十萬蚊港女大翻身) That was a really memorable experience as I was seating in the toilet for two hours after that. I needed to release my extra protein inside my body. Little lesson: Worm contains of a lots proteins that you needed for your daily exercise hahaaa

One thing you absolutely must have in your wardrobe?

Underwear. Not being funny but this is true. I believed girl had thousand of underwears in wardrobe that it is not only for showing off, but also matching with different kind of clothing which you are wearing everyday. Different color or style are needed for your changing style. This is important for everyone!

Your dream holiday destination is?

I studied in Switzerland before and came back to this international city last year. If I could choose, Switzerland Lucerne is my dream destination.

Tell us 3 fun facts about yourself.

I look cool at first but I am crazy in deep, i.e. I like to show my very ugly face to my friends.

I believed I am not a Asian when I was small because I watched too much Foreign movies.

I like breads and I can eat plain bread three meals a day for months.

Which is the favourite part of your body?

I like my nose the best since I don’t have to do plastic surgery to get a pointed nose. hahahaa

Hello, I am Fanny Wu Jiaqi from Hong Kong. I am a local model and blogger.

你好，我叫FANNY，中文名叫吳嘉琪，是來自香港的模特兒和BLOGGER.

Do you have any exciting projects coming up where we can see you in? 你在接下的几个月有什么令人激动的项目？

In terms of modeling, I hope to be able to take on both more print and TV ad assignments. As for my blog, I have plans to film a series of beauty related videos.

在模特兒工作方面，希望接下來可以接更多平面或電視廣告；至於BLOGGER方面，正在嘗試拍影片做美容YOUTUBER.

You look amazing in all your photos! What’s your beauty regime like to looking so good? 你所有的照片都真棒！可以跟我们分享你的美容密绝?

I do like shots that are more vibrant, especially those that are taken with the sunny sky in the backdrop. Of course, a proper makeup is most vital and the same goes for a slight adjustment of hues and color post photoshoot. These make the perfect picture.

我喜歡照片顏色比較鮮艷，有陽光藍天拍照就是最好的時機，當然拍照前要化個美美妝容，拍完照片後要調一下色溫與光暗。

What’s the naughtiest thing you have done so far? 你做过最调皮的事情?

Too much for me to remember! Haha

最調皮的事，太多了，記不起喔！哈哈

One thing you absolutely can’t do without in your bag when you go out? 一件你的包包里的必须用品?

My daily essentials include a lipstick in an energetic looking shade. The colour of my lips are really important to my overall look and I will never fail to have a stick in every day (lest emergency calls).

我的包包必須要有唇膏，看起來精神與否，唇色真的很重要，所以我每個包包都會放一枝唇膏以備不時之需。

Your favourite colour? 你最喜欢的颜色？

That will be yellow: a colour that alludes happiness.

我最喜歡黃色，黃色給人感覺很開心。

If you could be one superhero or movie character, who will you be? 如果你可以成为一个超级英雄或电影里的人物，你将会是谁？

Captain America! His patriotism to his country really ups his masculine level! Haha!

我會想做美國隊長，因為此英雄愛國感覺更濃，很MAN，哈哈.

How will you describe an ideal date? 描述你的理想的约会.

The ideal date will comprise of a never-ending list of topics and laughter. The actual date location and plan for the day will not really matter as we will be totally comfortable with each other.

最理想的約會是有談不完的話題，充滿笑聲，去哪裡做什麼都沒太大所謂。

It is not defined by how little one puts on, but more of a sense of feeling. I personally feel that women who are healthy are exceptionally sexy.
