How did you get into modeling?
It all started at a car event I attended. Someone asked to take a photo of me and one thing let to another and before I knew it, being in front of a camera was happening more often then I thought. It still hasn’t hit me how far I have came.
What is the story behind that amazing tattoo on your back?
Oh man, I carry a beautiful art piece designed by someone close to my heart. It took a lot of thought and brainstorming but came out amazing! It’s a piece that carries a thousand memories and counting. Represents strength, power, trust and love.
Do you see yourself as a sex symbol?
No, I see myself more of a Tom boy, I love getting my hands dirty, climbing trees doing sports, staying home stuffing my face and playing video games. I’m not so into all the girly stuff.
What is the best compliment you have received?
“You’re beautiful Val, you completely melt my heart.” That alone melted me!
What is the naughtiest thing you have ever done and not regret?
I made out with someone I wasn’t supposed to, one thing led to another and we ended up having sex. Just knowing that being in the same room alone was not right turned up the adrenaline and it wasn’t just a simple kiss, it was a passionate makeup, passionate sex, a lot of touching, talking, moaning. It was just perfect.
Which is your favorite body part?
Lips! I must say a smile catches my attention and the lips just melt me. Something about juicy lips turns me on.

Thank you for reaching out to me! A little about me, well, I am living in a small town in Southern California. Have been working in the makeup industry for about 7 years now. I started at Sephora for 5 years, then worked for Urban Decay for almost a year and now I am working as a freelance makeup artist. I am so thankful to be working as a makeup assistant currently for Jill Powell, who is an AMAZING makeup artist.
When not working with Jill, I do a lot of wedding and spacial events makeup for clients. It’s always fun being a part of someones special day and helping them feel beautiful for any occasion. What was the inspiration behind your interest in beauty?
It was all an accident, really. I never wore makeup growing up, didn’t get into it until I was about 20. I have been taking art classes for quite some time now and I love painting and drawing. I had walked into a sephora near by and was offered a job. I guess they liked the green sparkly eyeshadow I had thrown on that day, haha. I took the position and it was all downhill from there. I realized that painting and doing makeup art were almost the same thing! To me, it wasn’t about covering someones imperfections, it was about enhancing someones features or having fun with color! Makeup made me realize you can look and be whoever you want to be for the day! It’s a lot of fun and shouldn’t be taken so seriously. It’s just makeup and it washes off, quite easily actually.
What are some of the most interesting makeovers you have ever done?
Interesting? That’s a hard one. They’re all pretty fun to me. I have had clients from all walks of life. Covering tattoos is always fun to me. OH WAIT, I just thought of a good one. I was working in store and a lady came in with huge glasses and asked if I could cover a black eye. I got a little nervous , I always think the worst so here I am thinking, “Oh my gosh she’s probably in an abusive relationship.” I don’t know why, but that was my first thought. So, she takes off her glasses , really deep purple/blue black eye. She had told me she went to every makeup store and nobody could cover it for her, so that made me excited because I love a challenge.
ANYWAYS, We get to talking, she finally opens up and tells me she got a nose job and the following day was her rehearsal dinner and nobody knows she got a nose job. I couldn’t help but laugh because, why would you get a nose job so close to the rehearsal date? I ended up covering it for her and she asked if she could fly me out to New York where she was getting married to do her makeup for her. That one went down in the books for sure! My advice to you out there, give yourself a good amount of time to heal from a nose job before any special events!! Sadly, I couldn’t go to New York due to a previous engagement, which I almost just wanted to call off. Ive never been to New York before hahaha.
Does everyone look better with makeup?
NO not at all. You know what looks good? Confidence. I’ve seen gorgeous women who never wear makeup and don’t ever need to. Makeup is fun, but people shouldn’t rely on it to cover their insecurities.
What 3 makeup items should no woman go out without?
That’s a hard one, probably, mascara, an easy way to make the eyes look bigger and more awake. Concealer, a little bit under the eyes can make you look like you got 8 hours of sleep when really you only got 4. And, a lip treatment. Whether it be chapstick , lipgloss, lipstick. But something that can add a little wash of color and hydrate the lips.
What are some common makeup mistakes our female readers should take note of not to make?
Brows are always a challenge and I will be first to admit I have gone through some BAD brow stages, but, I see so many girls who do such heavy, boxy brows! I love a dark brow but try to hold back a little. Try not to make them so square, so close together and so big.
What secrets can you share to achieve gorgeous skin in minutes if one does not have all morning to get ready?
Mix a pump of your foundation in with your moisturizer for a quick light coverage, foundation. This will give the skin hydration but also even out your skin tone. Use your lipstick as a cheek color as well! Either dab it on with your fingers on the apple of your cheeks or use a brush. Fingers are always easiest. It makes the best cream blush. Set with a little bit of translucent powder and there you go, easy, natural, luminous skin.
If you had 24 hours to do anything you want, what will it be?
Anything I wanted? That’s a hard one. Rob a bank? Hahaha. I’m kidding, maybe. I don’t know, maybe go on a trip. Ive never gone anywhere! Just Vegas, and Utah for work. I need to venture out more.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party girl are you?
I’d say a 5 lol. I’m kinda in between but more towards just chilling with good vibes and good company. I think I’m out growing my party days.
What is a typical day like for you?
I wake up, shower brush my teeth and go to work. I usually work 10 hours a day so I don’t have much time for anything else. When I get home, I cook if I’m hungry but try not to eat so late all the time and I check my emails then fall asleep to music.
Which is the funniest attempt a guy has tried to pick you up?
I would say just lying about who they are ahah. For example, I get a TON of guys claiming to be photographers and ask if I would do a shoot with them then when I ask to see a portfolio and background they have nothing to show and nothing to say. So my response is no thank you! I don’t have time to be wasting on some perv that just wants to see me in lingerie or fake who they are to try and get to chill with me, just be yourself that’s all I ask ^_^
If you had the chance to time travel, where will you go?
I would travel to the future so I can see what my future hubby and kids look like ;D LOL
Are you more comfortable in lingerie or bikini?
I’m comfortable in either one lol, they’re pretty much the same to me. I do love the more sexier look and style of lingerie though.
What’s the best compliment you have received?
I would say all the comments that compliment my personality are my fave ones. I’m sure girls are so used to being told they’re beautiful or hot, but when someone takes the time to actually notice your personality and can compliment me based on what they know about me or the vibe I give off, it really touches my heart and makes me smile 😀 People always tell me they love how sweet, bubbly, and humble I am and it makes me feel good and continue to remain that humble bubbly person! lol
Which is your favorite body part?
I would have to say my waist lol. People always compliment how small my waist is and ask if I’ve ever waist trained before but I’ve actually just always had a small curvy waist. I barely even work out, I’m too busy stuffing my face with food all the time ahah I guess I can thank my parents for good genes? lol

Sexy is when someone can handle themselves, for example drive their own car and pay their own bills, rent, food, etc. I define sexy based on a person’s maturity not just how they look on the outside.
Hello everyone! My name is Megz Lee and I’m currently based in Florida, the home of the constant sauna. Cosplay is my one of my favorite creative outlets to partake in, especially when it allows you to meet such great new friends! I love fashion, music, and food!
When did you start to cosplay and how the interest come about?
I want to say about 2 years ago? The end of 2013 is when I started going to conventions and constructing costumes. I’ve always played a lot of video games and watched a lot of different TV shows while growing up; I would see my favorite character and just love them so much that I just had to do everything I could to be them! It’s definitely helped shape up my craftsmanship!
What’s your process like when you decide to cosplay a character until its completion?
Usually when I decide to cosplay a character, it hits me like a train. The first moment I would see them on screen or hear them talk I instantly think, “That’s it, that’s the one.” Then, I surround myself with (too many) pictures of whatever character until it motivates me to go out and buy a wig/fabric for the costume. A lot of times, I just sweatshop and continuously work on sewing and details for it for an average of 10 hours straight in one day until it’s done!
Has there been any wardrobe malfunction that happened to you or you have witness before?
Plenty of times! In fact, it’s not a rare occasion at all. Sometimes as I would put garments on, I would realize something is not taken in enough and is way too big or even too small. There can be times when seams would rip as well as me being so tired that I would sew the garment inside out–which means me having to rip it apart and sew it all over again. There are even times when my costume can be held together with safety pins!
What misconceptions do people have about cosplayers?
I can’t think of anything really negative in my perspective, but from experience I think that people [who don’t cosplay] may find cosplay[ers] weird. I mean, people walk by and suddenly see a girl in a big white wedding dress with angel wings the size of a car and a long pink wig?! That’s not something you see everyday! But of course to regular cosplayers, the hobby is essentially a norm. Now that I think about it, you never truly know whether a boy or a girl is in a certain cosplay, so I guess that can be a misconception when people assume! It’s funny how something can be viewed so differently by two ends of the spectrum! In the end, we’re all just nerds who like to dress up!
Do you have other hobbies?
Yes I do! Besides cosplay, I am artist. I draw commissions and sketch quite a bit. I also play various instruments – violin, guitar, bass, piano – and compose music as well. I think it’s good to have multiple stress relieving hobbies, especially when they can create something beautiful.
What characters are you looking to cosplay next?
A lot of times, characters I look to cosplay are shown in the newest series. Although now, I am thinking of making some cosplays from the classics such as Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist and Aerith Gainsborough to celebrate the remake of Final Fantasy 7! One of my firsts cosplays was Lightning Farron from Final Fantasy 13, so I’m always working on multiple outfits for her as well. Funny thing is, I’m progressively cosplaying more and more boys!
One thing you wish you could change about the cosplay industry?
I would definitely add more local and free cosplay events in many cities! I’ve had one too many friends tell me that although they really want to go to an event, they can’t because the admission fee costs too much. Conventions can be ridiculously expensive and I would like everybody to meet with other cosplayers and make new friends with similar interests! Cosplay is about having fun and I think it’d be great if we can uphold that moral!

How did you get into modeling?
The funny thing is I actually got into modeling through cosplay. I had been cosplaying for a few years and really wanted to start creating better cosplay photos, so I sat down and joined a modeling networking site hoping to meet good photographers. Then I started realizing that non-cosplay modeling can be lots of fun too! Before getting into modeling I was actually very self-conscious about being taller than the average girl, especially for an Asian.

You are a Cosplayer yourself too. What do you enjoy most about Cosplay?
I think cosplay for me is just another extension of being an otaku. It’s really exciting to try to bring a character and/or series you love to life, and it’s also awesome to see how far you can transform your normal look and temporarily become someone else. It also wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that practically everything I know about makeup I learned through cosplay.

Do you have any favorite Cosplay characters?
I think my most well-known cosplay is probably Gasai Yuno from Mirai Nikki, I’ve cosplayed four versions of her so far and am thinking of possibly doing more LOL—Yuno is such an extreme character so it’s very interesting to try portraying her.
Another recent cosplay I’ve really enjoyed doing recently is Toosaka Rin (Fate/staynight series). She actually was one of my earliest cosplay years ago, so when Unlimited Blade Works came out I had to go back and tackle the character all over again, this time with (hopefully) more attention to accuracy. I hunted down some aqua-colored contacts (not blue), specifically styled the amount of wave in a lovely grey-blend wig (dark grey wigs were nonexistent back in the late 2000s), and included details like the v-shaped hem of her top.
Rin is a character that I really like—not just for her aesthetic design but also her skillfulness and well-balanced tsundere personality—so even though the cosplay itself is relatively simple compared to others it’s always so much fun to wear.

Which is the sexiest item in your wardrobe?
That’s kind of a complicated question. I definitely own a ton of stereotypically “sexy” clothes and accessories—PVC stiletto boots, garter belts, even some lace thongs, etc.— but I only ever use them for shoots and the rest of the time they just sit in a box somewhere.
But out of my actual regular wardrobe I would probably say stockings—my legs are my favorite physical feature and I feel like wearing black stockings magically makes them look skinnier. I think being an anime nerd has definitely given me a biased opinion on opaque black thigh highs being like the greatest thing ever, hahaha.

What is your beauty secret to looking so gorgeous?
To be honest, I think a lot of it is actually just cleanly applied makeup, haha! But I do also try to take care of my skin—I always try to take off my makeup as soon as I can, usually right when I get home. I use a makeup remover wipe, then wash with a face brush from Japan, and always put on moisturizer afterwards.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?
Aaah, maybe around a 7? I love eating things and snapping photos of/with said food. When I first joined Instagram I would just post up pictures of whatever food I was eating all the time until I had multiple friends tell me I needed to stop haha.
I tend to operate on a sliding-scale ratio of how tasty something is versus the cost. I’m more likely to favor a dish that’s satisfying and moderately priced over one that’s more expensive, has fancier presentation and tastes good but maybe not that good for the price… I think that probably disqualifies me from being a hardcore foodie haha, but I do love eating things. XD A lot of the foods I love also tend to be fattening (whipped cream with a side of pumpkin pie anyone?), so I have to cut back on them most of the time.
On a related note, my favorite types of cooking are Thai, Indian and Japanese food, along with an honorary category for pasta.

If you have the opportunity to learn anything in this world, what will it be and why?
Haha, if I were to just pick something off the top of my head right now, maybe some programming/coding? It seems like a useful skill to have.
But for something that’s probably a little more relevant it would be super awesome to magically be good with kanji characters! I do Japanese interpreting for events multiple times a year but my reading/writing level for kanji isn’t great and I feel like it limits me sometimes.

I think a lot of it is can be about perspective. What people find “sexy” about others usually seems to relate to characteristics that they find appealing. I think for me, I associate “sexy” with a sense of confidence and feeling put together.

Keep an eye out for my short film “The Battle.” It is a film about the struggles of the family at home of a soldier who has been deployed. It’s a very moving film and I really enjoyed making it. It was directed by a very accomplished directed Christopher Ad. Castillo.
What is your personal fashion style like?
My personal style is very business casual chic. However, it does depend on the occasion. I like to be comfortable so I wear boyfriend jeans and a t-shirt on the regular when suitable. Otherwise, I am in tight pants, loose shirt, blazer and heels.

Have you been into an embarrassing situation that seems funny now when you look back?
Oh man, so many times. There was a time, I accidentally walked into the wrong corridor of a hotel and ended up on stage of a male body building contest. I walked the stage like a runway and jumped off. Then ran into a friend of mine that happened to be in the competition.
Are you more comfortable in lingerie or bikini?
Lingerie. I think it allows more creativity and leaves more to the imagination. A bikini is pretty standard.

I am a full-time fashion merchandising student and part-time style blogger with a bad case of the travel bug. I will be finishing up my degree in New York City this December and heading off into the real world of fashion and retail. My blog, Looks by Lau, is centered on personal style, but with a sense of everyday practicality mixed with snippets of my travels and lifestyle tips.
What is a typical day like for you?
Busy! I like to say I have three jobs – student, intern, and blogger. Most of my weekdays involve interning all day, attending night classes to finish up my degree, and preparing blog posts at night. The weekend is my time to shoot photos so I have them set for the following week.
Is it challenging to maintain your blog and keep it updated for your readers?
As a part-time blogger, it definitely gets challenging to make time for blogging on top of full-time school and work. Regardless, I don’t think I would ever give it up! Blogging has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and gives me a creative outlet that is unique to me.
What’s the best thing that has happened for you so far?
In general, having the opportunity to do what I love. I am so grateful to have family and friends who continuously support my journey, from attending school for fashion to starting and maintaining a blog. All the best things that have happened to me have grown out of this support system, so it is really having the chance to go after my dreams that is continuously the greatest gift.
Three things you can’t live without in your wardrobe?
Leather jacket, black booties, felt panama hat.
How much of a foodie are you?
Lately, a huge foodie! I’ve slowly become that girl who will photograph every meal, and it has even led to some unexpected food-related blog collaborations. I almost wish I picked up on food blogging earlier. I mean, who doesn’t love free food?
Is there any cuisine you love more than any other?
Some of my favorites include Thai, French, and Japanese. It’s honestly difficult to choose a favorite because my family raised me to be open to anything when it comes to food.
Do you have any hobbies?
I like to say blogging is my hobby, because it really is what I do in most of my free time. Otherwise, I love hiking or any type of outdoor exploration in that regard, as well as trying new restaurants around the city!
If you had the chance to time travel, where will you go?
I know the typical answer for this would be a historical era, but my friends and I always talk about wishing we could time travel back to our semester abroad in Shanghai. It truly was one of the most amazing experiences of my life from being able to explore new cultures and travel freely, and my only regret is that I didn’t take advantage of it even more. I encourage anyone who has the means to travel, whether it is through a formal program or recreationally. It gives you an entirely new perspective on the world, and as cliché as it sounds, it allows you to discover yourself at the same time.
What’s your definition of sexy?
Confidence. The people I admire most are those who flaunt their unique personalities and encourage others to do the same. Sexiness comes from within.

I don’t exercise as often as I would like. But I try to stay active at least 3 times a week. I start my mornings every day with a spinach and kale smoothie, and that helps keep me feeling healthy, and regular.

My name is Micala, I’m half Mexican and half Filipina. I’m from Modesto, California and basically most of my life revolves around cars. I’m a secretary at a wrecking yard and on the side I’m a published model who models for many car shows like HIN, Spocom, AM Nights, and much more.
How did you get into modeling?
I actually first starting doing promotional and brand ambassador work promoting different companies. To gain more opportunity I needed to submit professional modeling photos of myself. I then began doing photoshoots and started promoting for Bud Light and other larger companies. Soon after I was invited to my first car show and after that was history!
What’s your exercise regime like to staying in such great shape?
I love dancing! So I mostly do go-go dancing to keep in shape.
What do you love most about being a model?
I love modeling because it’s a challenge! It’s harder than people think! It makes me more comfortable with myself and my body and helps me explore new things about myself. I’ve also met a lot of amazing people through modeling and I’m grateful for everything!
Which has been your most memorable or fun photoshoot so far?
I have fun at all my photoshoots and appreciate each one, but definitely the photoshoots that get published are most memorable!
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done so far and not regret?
The time I flew out to LA super last second and went to several award shows in the same week. Also stayed with a girl I met online! How crazy was I?!!!
Are you a thrill seeker?
Sometimes! I like to keep things fun and put things to the test. But then I’ll have those days where I’m being a chicken!
If you play any movie character, who will it be?
I would play ‘Mikaela’ in Transformers because she has the same name as me, and she was with my man crush Shia Labeouf!
What’s the sexiest thing in your wardrobe?
Bodysuits! Those are sexy but classy!

Bikini! Because you can actually be in public in a bikini haha.

Hey hey no problem. I’m a Texan native now currently in LA. Started modeling through the Import tuner world by starting with a car crew Hybridz then went on to pose for a couple of publications. Now I bartender and occasionally Gogo dance in the Los Angeles area while going to school to be a nurse practitioner.
What perks do you enjoy most being a model?
The perk for me is definitely meeting new people. Collaborating to come up with art. I love learning and seeing points of artistic view of others.
Do you work out to stay in such fabulous shape?
Honestly. I try my best but cardio is not my friend. I love to hike though.
