  • What’s Life Like as A University Student

What’s Life Like as A University Student

I major in marketing and accounting data analytics. For me, taking these 2 majors strike a right balance between the qualitative and quantitative side of things.

I am currently in my 3rd year of university and I have honestly been enjoying my life so far. Though it is wasn’t easy getting the hang of things at the start and was at times indeed stressful, I like that I am able to be in control of my life in terms of how much time I put in academic work and other things outside of it.

What I Love About University Life

The thing I love the most about university life is the flexibility in terms of planning my timetable for the semester and choosing which modules I want to take. This allows me to leave pockets of time for other things. It may seem daunting at first, being thrown into a whole new environment where you have no idea what to expect from a certain professor or a module. However, there are always others who have taken the module under the said professor before and they can provide advice on the teaching style and you can see whether it fits your learning style!

Furthermore, it is always very fun and exciting to take modules with my friends especially since I can group with them during group projects and help each other out when we are studying. After taking a few modules with your friends, you would get to know their working style and determine whether you all can complement each other in group project settings. It is important to remember that even though you guys may be really good friends, work and play is very different so if you guys cannot work together, it may be best that you don’t group together.

I also really like how we are given the opportunities to do so many things –going overseas for community service projects, overseas exchange programmes, picking up new interests, joining different academic competitions, being a teaching assistant, planning events and the list goes on!

    A Typical Day For Me

Since I normally choose morning or afternoon lessons, my day typically starts off with me having breakfast at home with my sister before heading to school for lessons! If it is a morning lesson, I will ALWAYS bring along a tumbler with iced coffee to keep me awake during the 3-hour lesson. If it is an afternoon lesson, I will bring along a pack of biscuits to munch on during the 15-minute break. Afterwards, I would normally have lunch or get bubble tea with my friends before heading off to school rock climbing training or just training (bouldering) on my own. Then afterwards I would head home and do notes for lessons I had on that day or pre-read for lessons further along that week!

But during exam and project season, I cut down my personal training time and instead go to the school library to study or book a group study room with my friends for project meetings. This normally happens after recess week when deadlines for projects and assignments pile up. During this period, I normally do not have time to pre-read for lessons so I just try my best to absorb as much as I can during lesson and do notes over the weekends.

    My Hobbies & Interests

I picked up a few interests over the course of my university life. The most prominent one is bouldering. I joined my school’s climb team in my first year and decided to join the executive committee as the events director. I got the chance to execute and plan club events, even being part of the sub-committee for a climbing competition back in 2020. For the first year in the climb team, I climbed recreationally – about once or twice a month. After circuit breaker, I joined the core team and have been training regularly – minimally twice a week on my own and once a week with the core team. We recently held a climbing competition in January this year, SMU Gravical 2022, and I was fortunate enough to be part of the main organising committee, the Head of Relations and Vice President!

Other interests I have include crocheting, sewing and baking! I enjoy doing crafts, especially making things for myself as well as people around me. I picked up crocheting from my aunt during summer last year and continued ever since. As for sewing, my passion and interest for it started when I was staying with my grandma in 2008 when my house was under renovation. She taught me how to sew and I sew once in a while when I get inspiration to make something.

    Common Misconceptions About University

The most heard misconception is that university life is a breeze compared to JC. I guess in some aspects that is true due to the fact that there isn’t a major national exam at the end of it and school doesn’t last from 8am-4pm daily. However, I must say that there is still a lot and I dare say even more stress in university especially since every single component of your grade is determined by your participation in class from day 1 including all tests and assignments even if they aren’t worth that much.

Another misconception I have heard is that year 1 is meant for playing. In my opinion, playing shouldn’t mean not studying but rather figuring out your interests and joining as many activities as you can. Of course, don’t bite off more than you can chew since at the end of the day, academics are still important. But take up as many opportunities (outside of academic work) given to you as you can since the workload in year 1 is generally lighter than the following years.

Tips For Students Entering University Soon!

The best advice I can give is to take each day as it comes and ask your peers for help when you get overwhelmed.  It is okay to take breaks and PLEASE take breaks. One challenge that I myself faced going into university life was that I wasn’t used to the grading system here. It didn’t sink it at the start that all assignments matter and class participation contributed significantly to your overall grade. Honestly, no one will judge you when you speak up in class, so just do it!

What I have learnt is to pre-read for lessons so you can answer questions raised by professors and also ask insightful questions. Given the chance to go back to year 1, something that I would have done more would be to join at least 1 academic CCA. It is easier to enter niche academic CCAs in year 1 as compared to year 2 or 3. These CCAs provide great networking opportunities for your future internships and work life. CCAs are definitely a great way to make friends! I made most of my friends from the climb team as we spend a lot of time training together. One great way to be more involved in school would be to join CCAs and be part of the organizing committee of various events or even just being a volunteer for the event. There will be many opportunities to take part in events along the way whether as part of the planning committee, facilitator, or participant.

Hey there, I am Megan, currently a year 3 student in SMU, majoring in Marketing and Accounting Data & Analytics! I am currently on exchange this semester at Bocconi University in Milan. International Fashion & Travel Journalist, Kristina

I’m an international fashion/travel journalist, casting manager in France with the model agency SudMode agency. I am opening my own swimwear brand. Also, I have experience as a photo model. I’m from Odessa, Ukraine. I have visited 41 countries. I like to be active, and meet new interesting people.

What are your thoughts about fashion and what inspires your style?

Firstly, fashion for me, it’s part of my life, work, and lifestyle. Fashion is my passion. I write articles and interviews about fashion. I worked in a PR agency in Italy, and now starting to work with a PR agency in USA. I also am opening my swimwear brand.

Which 3 fashion or makeup accessories can you not live without?

I’m crazy about bags, I have more than 50 bags in my collection. This is famous brands, mass market, no name. I can’t live without my pencil for lips Chanel, number 167. And I also like swimsuits, and have more than 50.

How long have you been an international journalist and what do you enjoy about being one?

I have been an official international journalist from 2017. I have been a member of Ukrainian Association of Journalist from 2013. I think journalism is a life style!

I can’t swim, I think I want to do it, but I’m afraid of water. Sounds crazy, but that’s the truth.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a risk taker are you?

    Hhmm. Sometimes it’s a 0, sometimes a 12 from 10. But in general, I think 7 from 10.

What do you not get about the opposite sex?

I hate greedy men! And I don’t understand men who gossip!

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Kristina. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

First of all, it is energy, and self-confidence! But no less important is a beautiful toned body, feminine appearance, the ability to look beautiful and tease men!

  • What It’s Like To Be An Over 50s Provider

What It’s Like To Be An Over 50s Provider

For me, an escort is providing more than a simple in/out service. There can often be meals shared, events attended, holidays taken together, deeper and more personal conversation, cooking and in many cases the development of genuine relationships with long term clients. All held within the boundaries of the amount of time booked and the envelope.

I consider escorting to be a branch of Health and Wellness work because intimacy and natural sexual expression is so critical to our wellbeing, far more than our society tends to recognize or feel comfortable acknowledging.  Imagine if it was supported by your healthcare plan! So, that’s my way of saying I am a big fan of it. And may I add, I wish there were more men in Canada offering it for me!

My Impression Of Sex Work Before I Started

I of course have always been aware of the providers on the street but until I began this work I actually had no real awareness of escorting, of another dimension of sex work so to speak. During my Social Services education, I did a big paper on pornography as it was such a presence in my childhood through my father and really impacted my body image and sexual identity. That was more on my radar than anything else. I think I was craftily saving myself a sweet surprise for later in my life.

Is Being A Provider Over 50s Unique?

If it were not for Twitter I would have next to no awareness of the amount of beautiful, passionate mature women in the field.  I think if you could do a census, you would find the majority of women are younger but I am beginning to think it would not be by as much of a big margin as I would have previously thought.

What Inspired You To Become An Escort As A Mature Woman?

After making my way though the dating and hookup sites and becoming exhausted, my last civilian lover suggested I join an agency, just to see if that would be different. I went from researching agencies in my city on a Thursday, to an interview on Friday, a photo shoot on a Saturday and my first client on a Monday. After that encounter I lay back seeing that my access to men could now be unlimited and there was now an envelope to enjoy as well. I went independent within 3 months and have never looked back.

    What Makes Me Ideal?

You will never meet another Mila. I am insatiably curious, open to experience yet grounded in the wisdom of lessons learned. I am my boundaries now, they are not something I impose or force, I am centered in myself and have nothing to prove to you. I adore the masculine and men! I do not identify as a feminist but rather am an avid promoter of common sense equality. I love exchange, of thoughts, insights, opinions, breath, touch. Eroticism, sensuality, seduction, the slow burn of good foreplay and anticipation all feed my spirit. If I choose you, I am with you totally. The Slavic woman that I am loves to host, to honor and indulge the guest, and the woman in me enjoys opening to male touch. And I am doing it all in a body that won’t quit!

Best Duration To Spend Time With Me

For me, 2.5 hrs has become my happy place. It allows enough time for you to arrive and ‘land’, to move naturally out of the entry to conversation and catching up to physical intimacy, if in fact that is what is desired, and then to being able to shower and dress without feeling forced out the door. My 1.5 hr visit is great for someone pressed for time, as that is how we can tend to feel in those 90mins which can contribute to a sense of delicious urgency. But it is best for a gentleman who knows how to help keep time because so often there is the potential to stay over time . And that, dear gentlemen, means you should always tip.

What Can A Gentleman Expect Or Prepare When With You?

First impression, you are going to meet a woman confident and comfortable in her skin, fully present with her attention and interested in you. Be prepared to enjoy  conversation with someone who is eloquent, aware and informed, not just by information but by life. I enjoy sharing the opinions and perspectives I have on a great variety of personal and global topics and I am also always open to hear other perspectives, to be informed in new ways.  A few decades of life, experience and experimenting have brought me to a place personally that is grounded, well cultivated and relaxed and that in turn allows a curiosity and passion that burns in me like a wildfire to express itself freely.

Plus, I get all the memes, from all the decades!  But really, what is mature except a sense of life lived, with enough time to see how things work out, and that can bring a deeper presence with less to prove and more to give. One of my most treasured quotes in  this regard is this one from Anais Nin: We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension and not in another; unevenly. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present and future mingle and pull us backward, forward or fix us in the present. We are made of layers, cells, constellations.

Mila Doval – I am a woman who loves being a woman and is deeply wired to indulge and enjoy men. I live on the youthful side of mature.  I am cultured, experienced, travelled and bring a contagious enthusiasm and presence to all my encounters. Why? Because I love the play between the masculine and the feminine. I am wild about men who make an effort and who are enthusiastic about our time together. I will receive you in my private home. I do not entertain more than once per day or more than 4 times per week. When you are with me, I am all yours.

  • Why You Should Enjoy Norway With A Companion

Why You Should Enjoy Norway With A Companion

I feel that companionship is an extremely important role that is necessary to have in any community. A person who is available to hear your thoughts, experiment with you sexually and be your arm candy without any commitments, who would not want that? Furthermore, companionship is an amazing way for women (I say women because most companions are women) to have an outlet to feel empowered, take control of their own economy and freedom.

How The Escorting Industry Is Like In Norway

There is quite a small community in Norway when it comes to companionship. It’s just not as common here. I think a part of that is just because we are a very small country and the capitol (Oslo) only has 600 000 people, therefore a lot of companions and clients are afraid of being recognized. I think that just adds some extra spice to it!

What Makes Me An Ideal Companion

I am a gentle, fun, attentive and kind woman who is also firm with boundaries and know what I want and don’t want. I strive to make a date a safe space for me and my client where we can both express our needs and desires and goof around a bit as well! Therefore, a date with me is a date filled with laughter, compassion, exploration and excitement. I also have a finely tuned eye for details and therefore I make an extraordinary date for events of fine dining experiences which are some of my favorite types of dates.

    Preferred Gentlemen Types

I always love a gentleman with a spark in the eye and a good joke at hand. But honestly, a gentleman who knows how to treat a woman in terms of making her feel special and lusted for is my type of gentleman. I also love a gentleman who like me to take control, the submissive type, that turns me on a lot!

Best Duration To Enjoy Norway With Me

I would recommend at least a 16-hour date for us to be able to explore the city together, enjoy some amazing cuisine and have dessert under the sheets. Of course, longer dates make it possible for us to explore the city even more, as well as each other. There are multiple cultural experiences in and around Oslo for us to check out, and of course several spas I could highly recommend for our own sweet escapade.

What A Gentlemen Should Prepare Prior To Our Engagement

For longer dates, it is crucial that the gentleman has planned and made the necessary bookings, so that doesn’t take up any time during the date itself. Other than that, I require a deposit from all new lovers as well as a proper introduction and screening information. And of course, a small gift of appreciation to make a lady feel special is always welcomed but never required!

    Etiquette To Follow

Be a gentleman, come clean and prepared, provide me with my donation without me having to ask for it and be yourself! I love a man who is confident in who he is and not afraid to show it.

Hi my name is Hanna Rose, your Norwegian muse with a lust for life, adventure and the tabu. Although I reside in Norway, I spent quite a lot of time traveling both for work and pleasure. I am quite the versatile lady and you can find me at a fine dining restaurant, a mountainside doing sports climbing or at a spa, enjoying a hot oil massage.

  • Model & Photographer Isabelle Yong

    Model & Photographer Isabelle Yong

I grew up in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur but at heart I’m an island girl. Being around mother nature is my biggest must no matter where I’m living. This drives my passionate and positive personality in everything I do. I’m a bit of a bros girl who is free flowing and enjoys a bourbon neat from time to time but don’t get me confused, I’m not sporty in any form. I’m always up for an adventure discovering cultures and meeting new people. In spite of that, I’ve always felt like I’ve always stood out and never quite fit no matter how adaptable I am. This insecurity has now evolved into what I love most about myself.

What inspired you to start modelling and how long have you been a model?

I’ve never longed and dreamed to be a model as a kid, if anything I was the sassy girl with the comebacks defending my chubby self because I loved to eat and still do by the way. It started off by my love of photography and travel. I was comfortable in my natural curvy body documenting my travels. Embracing my thalassophile spirit and feeling the most confident in a bikini despite my undesired body type before the plus size or normal bodies movement had begun. This is what caught the eye of a local photographer @dreamersrehab, Catherea. That was the first time I’ve ever been asked to model professionally, it was the beginning of my modelling career. I have been modelling now for 5 years.

Which is a memorable or unforgettable photoshoot experience you’ve had before?

The most memorable shoot I’ve been a part of was titled Thique Clique by Catherea.

Do you have a lifestyle or fashion hack that you can’t live without?

One of my cheeky fashion hacks is that I wear most of my bikini bottoms backwards because it gives me a much better overall coverage in the front. The one item that is essential that I can’t live without is my Mason Pearson brush.

Which 3 things do you enjoy doing most in the city you live in?

The top 3 things I enjoy the most is going to the markets for fresh groceries, enjoying an ocean swim and lastly a little retail therapy or grabbing some cocktails at the bar with friends.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a risk taker are you?

    I would say I’m about a 6.5.

How do you like to spend your free time?

The perfect day for me would be having a cocktail by the pool being kissed by the sun or spending the day in cooking and trying new recipes.

What turns you off on a date?

Nothing turns be off quicker than a man who is rude to staff and has really bad hygiene and fashion sense.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Isabelle. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Sexy to me is a form of confidence, a journey of self love and acceptance that can only be overcome by facing and embracing yourself truly.

  • Performing Artist Shanice Stanislaus

    Performing Artist Shanice Stanislaus

    Hi, I’m Shanice!

I’m a Singaporean based multi-disciplinary performing artist with a focus on dance, theatre and clown. I started in the live theatre industry in Singapore but have since gone on to bring my work internationally and to the genre of film. When I am not performing. I like to take on other creative roles such as directing, producing and arts education. I also have my own creative arts company, Creatives Inspirit where I bring arts to communities that experience illness, disabilities and poverty.

Was being a performer something you’ve always wanted to be since you were a child?

Yes! I didn’t realize it then but now when I look back, as a young child, I used to dance along to songs, play make believe with my toys and my friends from the playground. I was always finding a reason to act and dance. I remember family gatherings  where my aunties would always ask my cousins and I what we wanted to be when we grew up. They all would answer ‘I want to be a doctor’ and I would lie and say the same thing because I felt the pressure to say the right thing but in my head I was always saying to myself, ‘I’m going to be an actress!’.

I also vividly remember begging my mother to let me go to dance class or join the drama club. She never let me go to a dance class until I became a teenager and I rebelled against her but I managed to join the drama club in my school when I was 12 and that changed my life! Best decision of my life!

What has been a memorable acting or modeling or performance you have had before that is unforgettable?

In 2016, I had the opportunity to work for a dance creation center called La Caldera in Barcelona. I remember taking a class with a renowned choreographer and director, Alberto Velasco. I was just an intern then for the company, trying to learn as much as I can by taking classes. He had seen me in the class and asked my boss if I could join his show for a large international festival, El Festival Del Grec.

I was extremely honored to be randomly talent spotted and to do the show. I was the only Singaporean in an amazing company of mainly Spanish based dancers and actors. It was a big learning curve for me because it was a fully Spanish show so I had to step up my Spanish language game for the show. Alberto Velasco was such a phenomenal director and the show itself was innovative.

The show was a dance theatre show built on the idea of a competition so as the performers we all were competing every night of the show. This experience was memorable because I won two nights out of three of the festival run and I felt quite on top of the world doing that show!

Which is the best compliment you have received?

A renowned choreographer from LA, Brinn Nicole, she’s one of my teachers, she once looked at me over ZOOM and said to me (along the lines of, not verbatim)

when I look at you and your energy I see this playfulness and when people are around your energy I see that your energy gives people the permission to embrace their playfulness and their inner child.

What inspired you to start your company Creatives Inspirit and can you share more about what you do?

The inspiration behind Creatives Inspirit came from my final year capstone project in my university, ‘The Drunken Butterfly’.  ‘The Drunken Butterfly’ was a clown and dance theatre performance that was created to enable audiences to better understand the struggles of illness and caregiving. Creating that work was inspired by many stories of students on my campus who were dealing with similar experiences. The performance was a hit and it was restaged a second time in Singapore. That experience made me and a few of my collaborators realize we wanted to use art to help communities in need and so we came together and Creatives Inspirit was birthed.

Over the past five years, Creatives Inspirit has created many impactful projects, such as the ‘AnyBody Can Dance’, ‘Play through Movement’, the ‘Why Should I Care’ programme series and many more. These are inclusive programmes for diverse communities including those who experience illness, caregiving or disabilities. In these programs, we use various artistic mediums like dance, theatre, visual arts and clown as tools of respite and empowerment to individuals from all walks of life.

Before I started Creatives Inspirit, I ran a dance program in Cambodia for many years where I brought dance and Zumba to poverty ridden communities and taught a special program to help youths use dance as a way of empowerment for artistic expression and learn the tools they need to potentially build their own artistic career. I’ve always been interested in bringing and sharing the arts with people who have no access to them and I’m glad I get to continue to do that through Creatives Inspirit.

Which are your favorite quotes or mottos you like to use for inspiration?

Everything is always working out for you, best case scenario.

It helps me through the bad days for sure.

If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?

I would love to learn where my ancestors come from. I literally can’t trace back my lineage very far because of various things in my family like world war two and adoptions. I would really love to know if there were artists like me in my lineage or personalities like mine. I come from a mixed race family and I have always been curious about the people in my ancestral history.

Do you have any exciting projects lined up for 2022?

I am currently in Canada right now getting ready to perform my first solo comedy show. I’m one of the featured acts in an international artists festival in Calgary and being the only Singaporean act in this lineup has been very exciting! This project definitely has been a milestone in my performing career!

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Shanice. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Sexy is you not being afraid to clown around and be your true self even if that means your favourite song plays in the mall and you aren’t too shy and dance it out!

  • Singapore Content Creator Alethea Chung

    Singapore Content Creator Alethea Chung

Hello! My name is Alethea, and I’m from Singapore. I’m just an ordinary girl who often experiments in different skills such as dancing, hosting, and modeling. I used to be active on TikTok – which is how my whole social media journey began.

How is your fashion style like and where do you draw inspiration from?

Never too basic, but never too much, though I’m not afraid to stand out in the crowd. My style has evolved with time, and I now prefer to wear more neutral colors. I have a petite frame, so I like to wear clothes that accentuate my proportions. Simplicity is fine, but with a touch of personality, especially class.

@tessalht and @hannnahhtaylor are two Instagram profiles that best describe my style preferences (right now)! I also draw inspiration from YouTube channels ‘Clothesnbits’ and ‘안녕하새은 Saeeun’.

Fun fact, almost all my fashion pieces are from Korean stores that ship to Singapore and that’s where a huge bulk of my money goes to cause shipping fees aren’t cheap!

Do you have any favorite food or cuisine?

Acai is my go-to comfort food, it is an instant uplifter! I also love poké bowls and sushi is always good anytime. Salmon has a special place in my heart! By now, you can probably guess that my favorite cuisine is Japanese.

Is there a beauty or exercise regime you follow regularly?

I don’t really do much for skincare – just cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. However, I try to put on sunscreen every morning before I leave the house and go for facial treatments occasionally. Sometimes, I rub an ice cube all over my face for about 20 seconds, and I usually try my best to ensure that my makeup brushes and sponges are washed before using them.

For fitness, I try my best to keep up with any of April Han’s workout routines on YouTube at least twice a week, though it’s not going very well. I do wear waist trainers or compression tights sometimes though!

If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?

I hope for everybody to have more time to do what we truly want to do! Or world peace. No wars!

Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?

Hmm… I used to work as a receptionist and back then we had to obtain customers’ phone numbers to register them. I asked a guy for his number, but he got shy, hesitated to give me his number and was eyeballing my colleague. Later, I just repeated my question asking for his phone number with my fingers placed on my laptop’s keyboard to clarify what I needed his number for. We had a good laugh after he left!

Would you rather be able to teleport or control objects?

Teleport! I can’t think of any reason I would need to control an object for, but I would love to be able to wake up and reach my destination within minutes and then reach home instantly after work. Imagine the amount of time I could save and the amount of extra sleep I can get.

What do you not get about the opposite sex?

I don’t understand why some guys try hard to hold their tears back to put up a brave front, for example when watching a sad movie. Nothing wrong or unsexy about crying!

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions, Alethea. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

To me, sexiness is exuded based on the way one thinks. You are sexy when your mind is sexy and heart is pretty.

  • Musician & Producer Likie

    Musician & Producer Likie

I’m a composer and music producer who focuses on the production of electronic dance music (EDM) and the collaboration between EDM and live orchestral instruments. I am also an Erhu player, and a large chunk of my profession consists of performing live shows as a DJ and Erhu performer with a band of brass instruments.

Was being a composer and musician something you’ve always wanted since you were a child?

To be honest, I’ve never thought that I would become what I am today when I was a child. I started my musical journey by playing the Erhu when I was 10. Even though I started learning music production and composition when I was 14, I’ve always thought I would go forward in my career by being an Erhu performer.

But at age 17/18, I decided to focus more on composition and electronic dance music production and went to Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of music to pursue composition. Upon discovering my love for creating shows that incorporates EDM and acoustic instruments, I changed my major to Music Collaboration and Production, and that allowed me to be where I am now, doing something I absolutely love. It was the best decision I ever made.

What is a memorable or unforgettable performance experience that you have had before?

That would be my debut brass performance at the Esplanade outdoor theatre in September 2021. It was my first time actually DJaying with a brass ensemble, and it absolutely is a very important milestone to my artistic growth and identity. I have done many shows that incorporates EDM and acoustic instruments before, but nothing like this!

If you could collaborate with anyone past or present, who will it be?

I think it would be super interesting to collaborate with Antonin Dvorak, just because many of my compositions are inspired by his symphonies and orchestral works of art, and the turn out will be superb if he actually wrote a piece meant to be played with EDM backing tracks.

How do you like to spend your free time?

Besides producing new music, I love to bowl (although not very good at it), I also like playing pool and watching movies or concerts.

What 3 fun things do you love to do in the city you live in?

I love visiting the beach, going on staycations because I like the idea of hotels, and trying out dessert places with my friends.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of an adventurer are you?

The adventurer in me is vastly split between different things, in terms of trying new food it’s a 1/10, but physical adventures like visiting places, trying out rides and activities I’d say a solid 8/10.

What projects or works do you have lined up for the rest of 2022 that fans can look forward to?

For now, I have yet another EDM-Wind/brass show on the 25th February at the esplanade outdoor theatre, another one in late May at Our Tampines Hub and one more in August. Make sure to tune in to follow up with my dates!

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Likie. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

To me, sexy depends on not just one’s physical attributes but more important talent, brains, and a good sense of humor.

  • Music Lover & Fashion Inspo Richelle Sagaysay

Music Lover & Fashion Inspo Richelle Sagaysay

Hi! I’m Richelle Sagaysay 19 years old currently residing here in Parañaque, Philippines. I’m a fur mom and we have 6 cats in the house. Sometimes we just need a cat who follows us around LOL. I’m into fashion and I can say that I have taste when it comes to styling clothes, I’m just broke to buy new clothes.

I also love to write. I have my daily journal in which I write about how my day went, my to-do list, etc. It has helped me to express myself through writing. I’m a very enthusiastic and organized person.

Aside from that, I’m also a music lover who can’t clean the house without having background music. It just makes me calm and relax, also singing is my forte. I love singing since I was 7 years old! My content highlights are fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.

What inspires your fashion style and where do you love to shop from?

My inspo when it comes to fashion style is Ashley Garcia, she’s a living doll and a Pinterest girl! Her style is more on Y2K vibes. Sometimes I go to the Pinterest app to search for some outfit ideas. My go-to shops are Bench, Penshoppe, and H&M. But now that we are amid of a pandemic and it’s risky to go outside, adding to a cart and checking it out from Shoppee has became my habit. There you can find a lot of affordable yet high-quality clothes. Everything you want you can be found on Shoppee!

When it comes to make-up, I actually love shopping on local brands. One of my trusted brands is Careline since my junior-high-school era. I love how perfect it is for all young Filipinas like me who are make-up lovers and don’t have a big budget to buy expensive products. One of the reasons why I love this brand and it’s my top tier when it comes to my favorite is because it has very affordable products but high quality! Who wouldn’t love it right? I feel honored to witness the growth of this brand from make-up to skincare REAL QUICK!

Do you follow a regular fitness or exercise regime?

To be honest, I don’t do exercise nor follow a regular fitness. Because I have this fast metabolism which gaining weight is very hard for me.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?

11! You can ask my friends or my family how “takaw” I am when it comes to food. I can finish 6 cups of rice in Mang Inasal. My friends told me that I’m so lucky because even though I eat a lot, I still don’t gain weight. But for me, it’s my biggest insecurity because I grew up being body-shamed. Nevertheless, I learned to embrace my body and accepted my flaws because who else can do it for me right? Btw, I love fried chicken and cookies and cream ice cream!

What quotes or mottos do you regularly love to use?

I found these beautiful quotes from Pinterest it reminds me to stay being kind-hearted and to keep going whatever the world may throw at me I’ll take it and be grateful for it as well.

How is a typical day like for you?

On weekdays, I have my online classes and work, while on weekends I always make time for myself such as binge-watching my fave K-Drama series at the moment which is the “Start-Up” and enjoying my own company while eating snacks. Taking care of myself and my skin after a long tiring day. Playing with my cats and doing some household chores to keep myself productive.

If you could be a fictional character, who will you be?

Wonder Woman because she is a true leader who travels the world to teach empathy and tolerance. I like how she is strong enough on her own and doesn’t “need” anyone, yet she still takes on allies because she cares about bringing the best out of others.

What turns you off on a date?

A guy who is dull and dry and can’t keep up a conversation with me. Being rude to waiters and arrogant.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Richelle. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

You’re welcome! Thank you for inviting me to be featured and interviewed it’s such an honor! I enjoyed answering your interview questions. Anyway, being “sexy” for me is not about physical appearance it’s all about confidence and being comfortable in yourself.
