    Was music always a big part of your life growing up?

    Yes, I had a love for it at a young age. Music is therapeutic for people whether it’s the artist or the person listening.

    What is it like to be a musician and what is a typical day like for you?

    A typical day for me is very busy, I’m always working on something. Recently I have been occupied with modeling, photoshoots and content creation.

    Which is the best compliment you have received?

    A few people have told me I inspired them.

    Do you have any other hobbies or interests?

    I’m a homebody so I love to chill, watch movies but I’m also up for whatever and love a good adventure or something fun like amusement parks, trying new foods and restaurants,  going to the beach, stuff like that.

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?

    I would say 7 or 8. I love trying new restaurants, foods and flavors but I also like cooking at home. 

    If you could be a fictional character, who will you be?

    Good question, I have no idea. LOL!

    What turns you off on a date?

    Lack of compassion and understanding, disrespect and bad manners.

    What do you love about modeling and how long have you been doing it?

    What I love about modeling at this moment is that I have seen huge changes since I started back in 2002. Now I see all body types, ages, nationalities, and heights. That makes me very happy. I’m a petite model and I have also struggled because of my height, but since day one I believed I could help change those standards. Now with 18+ years of experience and 5’2”, I have been featured and modeled nationally and internationally, which makes me very proud of myself and I hope this inspires other models too.

    Do you follow a strict beauty or exercise regime to look so fabulous?

    Haha, I love donuts 😊, and it’s not a joke, but I exercise a lot, I teach around twelve (12) classes a week, including Zumba, Cardio-Kickbox, Sculpt, abs etc… I drink tons of water, I wash my face with super cold water after a workout before bed and as soon as I wake up. I believe that moderation is the key. Oh! And I’m a vegan 😊

    Is there something you have always wanted to learn or do but haven’t had the time?

    Yes, I have always wanted to learn how to make and design haute couture and dance Tango! Maybe some day…

    What food or cuisine do you enjoy most?

    Oh! I’m a foodie, my favorite food is Indian food, I just love spices, but I was born Mexican, and you can’t say NO to tacos.

    If you could be a superhero or villain, who will you be?

    I will be my own type of superhero, I will be saving all animals, and heal all sick beings.

    Would you rather stay in or go out for a date?

    Depends on my mood, probably out most of the time. Having a beer, going for dinner or a hard music festival/concert. But, if I stay in, some take out food, my dog and watch a cartoon haha.

    What is a funny attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    I have a few of those, but the funniest one is when this guy started to introduce himself and he started to turn red, I thought he was just shy, but it turned out that he was holding his cough, obviously he couldn’t hold it anymore and started to chock and he was raising his hands like up crazy. I honestly was scared during this episode but later I started to laugh, because he just ran, and I never saw him again.

    After graduating from university in Beijing China, I came to Canada. I was a model in China, and continued modeling after I came to Canada. Right now I am married and have one teenage son.

    Since 2015, I started to be the modeling coach for Golden Maple Modeling team in Vancouver. Our models are 40 plus, mature models. We have done about 75 shows since the team started, including Vancouver Fashion Week, shows for local designers and shops, and shows at theaters with over 2000 in the audience.

    How is your fashion style like and where do you draw your fashion inspiration from?

    My fashion style is a combination of  elegence, chic, and a bit of sexy. I have read high fashion magazines since I was maybe 10 years old, and loved them at the first sight. I have never stopped since then.

    Which is the best compliment you have received?

    Only that your outfit is so glamorous and elegant that you look absolutely stunningly beautiful.

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?

    9. I love almost all kinds of food. Dining out about three times a week. I love meat but only eat when I am in a restaurant. At home I mainly eat vegetables, fruit, bakery and ice cream.

    Is there a city or country you’ve always like to travel to for a holiday?

    I would love to go to Milan and Paris. I love to feel the fashion wherever I go, and shop until my luggage is full.

    Would you rather be able to control fire or water?

    Water.

    If you could time travel, what will you like to witness or experience?

    I would love to be in 1800 or 1900 in Europe, love the fashion in that period. The clothing, hats, gloves, jewellery, painting, music, and so on. So beautiful.

    Does chivalry still exist today?

    I think so.

    How is your fashion style like and where do you draw inspiration from?

    My style varies between classic and chic to more rock and roll depending on my mood. I draw inspiration from different Instagram accounts and also pop culture.

    Do you have any favorite food or cuisine?

    My all time favorite food is Mexican. I can eat tacos or enchiladas every day and never tire of it!

    Is there a beauty or exercise regime you follow regularly?

    I keep my beauty routine very simple. Exercise, I like to switch up a lot. I do indoor rowing mostly and yoga.

    If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?

    There’s so much but first I would say that everyone in the world should have access to education.

    Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?

    We would need a separate interview just to cover all my embarrassing moments! Haha.

    Would you rather be able to teleport or control objects?

    Definitely teleport!

    What do you not get about the opposite sex?

    The fact that men can use a bar of soap on their hair and face and look amazing. How is that fair?!

    I’m 23 years old and a culinary graduate. I just moved to Manila for the second time three months ago but I was born and raised in the province, was a culinary graduate and now I’m a full time artist. I do handpoke tattoos and nude modelling.

    How long have you been a model and what genres of modeling are you into?

    I started doing nude modelling when I was 18, so that was December of 2016 to be exact. Genre? Hmm nude, bondage or boudoir. Some people call me the exhibitionist type, and I also model for local streetwear brands.

    What inspired you to be a tattoo artist?

    Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always been fascinated with tattoos but I never thought that I’ll be a tattoo artist myself until last year when the whole world was in total lockdown, out of the blue I just started drawing again and doing handpoke tattoos on myself hahaha.

    Can you share a story behind one of your tattoos?

    This is the story behind my first tattoo “Faith (the one on my left chest)”. I’m just your typical teenager who wants to get a tattoo but doesn’t want to get into trouble after, so I decided to get the word “Faith” tattooed on my chest so my mom won’t scold me because it sounds so Christian. She still got mad at me since a tattoo was still a tattoo hahahaha.

    How do you like to spend your free time?

    I love to cook and bake, that’s why I took up culinary. I guess a first love never dies.

    If you could time travel, what will you like to experience or witness?

    The late 1800s fashion, I think it’s pretty cool to wear gowns everyday.

    Would you rather have the ability to control objects or teleport?

    Teleport of course, I’ll get to travel for free.

    What do you not get about guys?

    How can they not be dramatic LOL.

    What is your fashion style and where do you get your inspiration from?

    My fashion style is pretty basic. I like to keep things minimal with comfy clothes I can mix and match depending on my mood. I usually get inspiration from Pinterest or social media accounts.

    Do you have any hobbies or interests?

    I love adventure and trying new things. I enjoy hiking, drawing, listening to podcasts and I’m on my way to becoming a certified scuba diver.

    How will you describe a typical day for yourself?

    Good. Every day I’m alive is a good day and I have many things to be grateful for.

    My version of a typical day at home begins with coffee. It wakes me up. checking my emails and social media accounts to reply to people at the start of the day. Brunch is almost always anabolic French toast. Sometimes I have phone calls with my friends. I then work on the projects on my to-do list such as my design plates where the majority of my time is spent. I usually listen to lofi jazz or podcasts on stories and self improvement as I work. I either go on walks or use my jump rope by the late afternoon for exercise and it has made such a difference for both my physical and mental health.  I journal my day in a mood diary app. It reminds me of my blessings. I end my day cozy and snug.

    If you can be a fictional character for real, who will you be?

    Disney’s Rapunzel. I’m a huge Disney fan and excluding the fact she was trapped in a tower for 18 years, she’s got magical hair that glows and heals wounds when she sings! Imagine the people you could help.

    Is there something you’ve always wanted to learn but have yet to find the time for it?

    Flipping clothes with a sewing machine! I feel that it adds more value knowing I made them and it saves on money too.

    What incredible life hack do you know that is invaluable to you?

    When you’re nervous, tell yourself you’re just excited because the adrenaline rush you feel when you’re afraid is the same hormone released when you are excited.

    What is a funny attempt or pickup line a guy has tried to use to know you?

    We visited a market booth in Cannes and this guy stopped me and asked for my name. I shyly replied, “Nicole”. With red thread, he swiftly embroidered on a strip of paper, “Neko”, gave it to me with a look of pride and said I could keep it for free.  I was so touched and couldn’t bring myself to say he spelled my name wrong.

    Sexiness is energy you can tell by the way they walk in the room.

    What inspired you to be a model and how did you start?

    I always wanted to be a model! When I was a little girl, I would tell everyone I wanted to be a model and give shows and parades around the house.

    When I was 19, I joined a local modelling agency and did some work as mostly a fine art model and life model for local artists. I had a break for a few years while I studied and went on to have a successful career  in Early Childhood education.

    A few years later, I returned to modelling. This time I focused mainly on bikini and lingerie glamour modelling which I love!

    Can you share the experience of being a playboy model and what it’s like?

    Honestly, I am so grateful to be a part of the Playboy family.  It is a dream come true. I used to watch Girls of the Playboy mansion on TV and imagined how amazing it would to be a Playboy model. So as you can imagine, when I found out I would be on the cover of Playboy Portugal last year, I was so excited!!

    Which beauty products do you use regularly and are most important to you?

    I always wash my face morning and night using Sukin products. They are simple, inexpensive and plant based. I find them great! I also moisturise my body head to toe after every shower to keep my skin all over soft.

    If you could meet anyone past or present, who will it be?

    I would love to meet Audrey Helpburn. Not only was she a screen goddess, she was also a great humanitarian and helped many people.

    What quotes or mottos do you usually love to use?

    ‘A smart woman knows her limits and a wise woman knows she had none!’

    Is there something you wish to learn or do but have yet had the time to do so?

    Well I am about to take a bit of a new direction in my career with a bit of a focus on health, wellness and fitness which has always been a big passion of mine. I would love to help and inspire others to live a healthy life.  I’m dedicating the next twelve months to a lot of learning and walking my talk.

    What is a lame or cringey attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    Ahh where do I start haha. So many crazy DMs I get all the time. But look, honestly, mostly guys are pretty nice to me. When I meet people at promo events, the guys are always pretty lovely and just seem happy to come say hi.

    How is your fashion style like and where do you love to shop from?

    Hmmm, it’s really hard to pin down a specific style I have since it varies so much – one day I’ll be in all black and huge boots and the other, I’ll be in florals and heels. I guess you could call it a cross between grunge and soft fem!

    Do you have any hobbies or interests?

    I love gaming and drawing haha, though I haven’t had much time for either. My favorite games would probably be the Dark Souls series and Alice Madness Returns. I do some illustrations in my free time but now I stick to painting portraits.

    Which is the best compliment you have received?

    I once had someone tell me that the way I think was like a dance.

    What are 3 fun things do you recommend to tourists to do when visiting your city?

    I’m from San Francisco so there’s no shortage of things to do here, but I’d recommend hitting up Fisherman’s Wharf, going thrifting in all the little shops around town and trying as much food as they can from all the neighborhoods!

    Which are your favorite quotes or mottos you like to use for inspiration?

    Would you rather have the power to control objects or animals?

    Objects, I wouldn’t like to take control away from a living being. Though it would be nice to force them to sit with me at times haha.

    I think what inspires my fashion style is my love for expressing my real self. Where I’m most comfortable, and feel more like who I am. It also depends on my moods sometimes! Like when I felt I wanted to be looking chic, hot, cute, an empowered woman it is. I love to shop from local shops that provide a really quality one with a heart. I also do thrifts, which everyone loves.

    Which 3 beauty accessories can you not live without?

    My makeup, skincare, and my haircare.

    Do you have any hobbies or interests?

    I love dancing. I actually started as a ballerina and it last for almost two years. Later, I discovered and tried different genres of dances such as folk dances, hiphop, femme, and a lot more. I’m also into writing personal journals, where I can pour down my thoughts and ideas. And as obvious it is, I really love to play with makeup! I love expressing myself in a way.

    Would you rather have superhuman speed or control objects with your mind?

    I would rather have superhuman speed, where I myself can prevent the worst things to happen especially to my women. We know how many women to this generation is suffering from sexual assault, abused, and a lot more worst case scenarios. Our mind can be a little tricky, and I believe it is better if I were able to prevent things from happening, rather than take an action only when it’s already there.

    What 3 fun things do you love to do in your city?

    Food trip, road trip, and visiting historical places!

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?

    Absolutely 10!

    What turns you off on a date?

    Being late and not greeting me with a smile.

    I love Thai food. My top 3 favorites are Tom Yum soup, Thai green curry and beef boat noodles.

    I would like to visit and experience the different historical places around the world.

    Is there something you’ve always wanted to do or learn but yet to find the time for it?

    I’ve always wanted to play the keyboard piano and get better at it. I stopped learning it when I started working few years back. Now that I’ve more time, I’m thinking of playing it again.

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of an outdoors person are you?

    I will say around a 9. I like being outdoors especially places that are close to nature.

    What is a funny or lame attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    A guy just approached me on the street and said that god had asked him to be at that certain place so that he can meet me.
