Hi SimplySxy! Thank you for featuring me. I am from Sri Lanka currently living in Singapore. I would say that I have an outgoing, conservative personality. I worked in brand marketing communications previously and now I am a freelance artwork designer, product photographer, calligrapher, content creator and a blogger with an outgoing personality.
What is your fashion style like and where do you draw inspiration from?
I could say that my style is constantly evolving. However I feel like I am always drawn to boho aesthetic shades and styles. I do love trying out new fashion styles. My inspiration mostly comes from Pinterest.
Do you follow a regular beauty regime?
It usually starts with lighting a scented candle in the morning, a peaceful relaxed mind before anything else. I have been dealing with acne for the longest time so it has always been important for me to be consistent with three steps of cleansing, moisturizing and especially sun protection regardless of whether I’m indoors or outdoors.
Which are your favorite types of food?
I am a big fan of rice, so Sri Lankan rice and curry is a favourite of mine. I also love Mexican and Indian food. Lastly but surely, donuts and croissants!
What are 3 sights you recommend to tourists to take in when visiting your country?
If anyone ever visits Sri Lanka, there are many beautiful places to see. If I had to pick 3, definitely go to Ella, Arugam Bay and Mirissa.
On a scale of 1-10, how much of an adrenaline junkie are you?
I’d say a 5 but if anyone hypes me up, I’m down for it haha!
Would you rather have the power to control objects or animals?
I wouldn’t say power to “control”, but it would be amazing if I could have the power to communicate with animals because I love animals!
What turns you off on a date?
Disrespect, ego and arrogance.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Elle. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexy to me is being confident, respectful and humble at the same time.
Once again, thank you for the feature and I hope that whoever reads gets a quick glimpse of who I am.

What is your fashion style and where do you get your inspiration from?
My fashion style is pretty basic. I like to keep things minimal with comfy clothes I can mix and match depending on my mood. I usually get inspiration from Pinterest or social media accounts.
Do you have any hobbies or interests?
I love adventure and trying new things. I enjoy hiking, drawing, listening to podcasts and I’m on my way to becoming a certified scuba diver.

How will you describe a typical day for yourself?
Good. Every day I’m alive is a good day and I have many things to be grateful for.
My version of a typical day at home begins with coffee. It wakes me up. checking my emails and social media accounts to reply to people at the start of the day. Brunch is almost always anabolic French toast. Sometimes I have phone calls with my friends. I then work on the projects on my to-do list such as my design plates where the majority of my time is spent. I usually listen to lofi jazz or podcasts on stories and self improvement as I work. I either go on walks or use my jump rope by the late afternoon for exercise and it has made such a difference for both my physical and mental health. I journal my day in a mood diary app. It reminds me of my blessings. I end my day cozy and snug.
If you can be a fictional character for real, who will you be?
Disney’s Rapunzel. I’m a huge Disney fan and excluding the fact she was trapped in a tower for 18 years, she’s got magical hair that glows and heals wounds when she sings! Imagine the people you could help.
Is there something you’ve always wanted to learn but have yet to find the time for it?
Flipping clothes with a sewing machine! I feel that it adds more value knowing I made them and it saves on money too.
What incredible life hack do you know that is invaluable to you?
When you’re nervous, tell yourself you’re just excited because the adrenaline rush you feel when you’re afraid is the same hormone released when you are excited.
What is a funny attempt or pickup line a guy has tried to use to know you?
We visited a market booth in Cannes and this guy stopped me and asked for my name. I shyly replied, “Nicole”. With red thread, he swiftly embroidered on a strip of paper, “Neko”, gave it to me with a look of pride and said I could keep it for free. I was so touched and couldn’t bring myself to say he spelled my name wrong.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Nicole. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexiness is energy you can tell by the way they walk in the room.
It’s the full package – the way they carry themselves, the self-assurance in knowing and embracing what they want. Sexy looks effortless.
Hi! I’m Susan, born and raised in Maryland but recently moved to NYC. I’m a full time interior designer and in my free time I like to create fashion, beauty, and travel content.
How is your fashion style like and where do you draw inspiration from?
I wouldn’t say I have a specific style because one day I can be dressed super girly and the next day I could be in streetwear. It really depends on my mood, where I’m going or what I’m going to be doing that day. I’d like to say my style is always evolving, I love trying new things and challenging myself to step out of my comfort zone.
Do you follow a beauty regime to look so beautiful?
Skincare has always been so important to me, so of course I have a regime but it is constantly changing. I pay close attention to what my skin is telling me that day and will adjust my products accordingly. Usually, I use a gel cleanser, toner, serum or essence, eye cream, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
Which is the best compliment you have received?
One of the best compliments I’ve received is probably when my male friend told me sometimes he wishes he was a female so he can dress like me.
What are 3 fun things you like to do in the city you live in?
I’m a huge foodie so my favorite thing to do is to try new restaurants, especially when there are so many delicious foods in NYC. I also love visiting art exhibits and exploring places with cool architecture.
Which are your favorite quotes or mottos you like to use for inspiration?
I’m more of a visual person so I mostly get inspiration from images rather than quotes. My favorite places for finding inspiration are Instagram and Pinterest.
Would you rather have the power to control minds or teleport?
I would rather have the power to teleport so I can travel wherever and whenever I want.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Susan. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
I define sexy as being confident in your own skin.
Thank you for having me! Absolutely, my name is Jenny and I’m from Los Angeles, CA. I currently work as a UX Designer (think web design + development) for a non-profit and I live in West LA with my boyfriend and our two cats.
What inspires your fashion style and where do you love to shop from?
I honestly love different types of fashion styles, it really depends on my mood. My biggest inspiration is probably from other girls on social media 😍 I think my current favorite at the moment is Zara!
How much of a foodie are you and what are your favorites?
Omg I absolutely LOVE brunch! I’ve visited so many brunch places in LA and definitely have my favorites. My all time favorite french toast is from Perch LA!! I’ve tried so many and there’s no competition.
What hobbies or interests are you into?
I love designing, thank goodness it’s my job. I am obsessed with interior design, creative design and lately I’ve been experimenting with photography. I’ve also gotten into snowboarding! I went to Mammoth in February and I’m so obsessed now, I plan to get my own gear and everything. 😍
Do you believe in any superstition?
Yes and no haha. Definitely stuff like “knock on wood” I do, but other stuff like believing black cats are bad luck, not so much.
Are there any quotes or mottos you like to use regularly?
The comfort zone is an amazing place, but rarely anything grows there. I hate feeling too comfortable and complacent with things in life, so I always find ways to help myself grow as an individual!
If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?
I would love to learn about the different cultures around the world. I feel like every time I travel, I get to take a glimpse of what others’ lives look like and it’s so enlightening. Just learning in general is very rewarding, which is why I want to go back to school and pursue a Masters.
What do you not get about guys?
I know this isn’t all guys, but when guys cheer each other on for ripping a loud one? LOL…like I saw a video of a girl going into a public mens bathroom and sitting in a stall with a whoopee cushion and hearing the reaction of other men in the other stalls.
Two reactions that stood out were “nice one dude!” and “check this out *farts SO LOUD AND LONG LOL*” Nothing is wrong with this, but I just cannot imagine me going into a womens stall and telling the girl next to me “Nice one! Check this out” 😂
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Jenny. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
I would define “sexy” as feeling confident with yourself, whether that be physically, emotionally or mentally. You look good, you feel good and no one is going to tell you otherwise! Thanks again for having me!
What I do centers around creating beautiful brands and digital experiences though I can’t sum it up in one title. I am a web designer, graphic designer, UX/UI designer and front end developer. I also do marketing for businesses. Outside of my work I love creating beautiful content for Instagram and I’m a bit of a micro influencer on Instagram.
I love living a healthy lifestyle. My interests often get changed-up though I enjoy things like playing chess, watching anime, history, science, stock trading, economics and world affairs. I am from the Sunshine Coast, I moved to the Gold Coast for uni and then Brisbane for work. I love Brisbane.
Was design and art always a big part of your life growing up?
No it wasn’t, my family was not well off and I grew up in the bush, sometimes living in caravans, sheds and even shipping containers. Though in school, I always wanted to make things look pretty and won many art contests. Even story book writing competitions for my creative stories and pretty pictures. Everything I did I put creativity into it.
When I finally got access to a computer, I loved playing Sims to design beautiful houses and people. I originally thought about being an artist but then my art teacher was like, “Don’t do it, you will be poor like me.” Later on in my life, I realized art was never my passion, or my biggest skill, it’s creating beautiful, organized, and easy to use things. It’s solving problems through design. When I decided on being a graphic designer, people told me “it’s a very competitive industry” and my response has always been, “I’ll be the competition”.
What is it like to be a graphic and web designer?
I saw a meme the other day that said, “I hate clients but love money”, and it resonated with me so much.
To be honest, being a web and graphic designer can be a nightmare when working for a bad client, or under bad management. Being passionate about what you do and caring about your work can turn against you in corporate politics. Micro management, bad design decisions by stubborn management, unrealistic expectations, frustrating conversations, justifying everything and even explaining to people why design should matter in the first place – a reality I did not expect when being a hopeful passionate design student.
But when you’re working on your own project or for a good client, there can be so much passion and creativity – it’s exciting to create something that goes out into the world, that people will see and use every day.
Experience Oz – Branding, UI/UX Design & Front End Development
Which is the best compliment you have received?
“You were born to be a designer”
How is a typical day like for you?
I wake up around 6am, make my bed, sometimes go to the gym, come home and make myself a cup of coffee to start the day at my desk. I put my oil diffuser on and say, “Hey Google, play low fi hip hop beats.” Then, I’ll spend the next hour answering emails, realizing I have somehow ended up online shopping instead of doing work. I then try to get into focus mode and work on my client’s job.
Throughout the day I play live chess matches on break. By 4pm I am like, where the hell did my day go? Then before I can blink, it’s dinner time and I’ve only done 4-5 hours of billable client work as I only track time working on the project. On days like today, I try force myself to stay up late to try be more productive haha.
City Beach – UX & UI Design
On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?
10 – OMG I love food.
I love yummy vegan food, and love to cook.
If you could be a fictional character, who will you be?
I am vibing Beth Harmon from The Queen’s Gambit, without the drug issues though.
What turns you off on a date?
When I would go on a date with a non-vegan and they make remarks like, ‘I could never go vegan” or “I love meat too much” or “I need too much protein to go vegan” or “This is good, for vegan food”
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Ariel. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Hey! I am Anita Naoko and I am half Swedish and half Japanese. I grew up in Sweden but moved to Tanzania when I was 17 and lived there for a couple of years before moving to Japan where I currently live now. I am a mother to a two year old boy and I love to travel and just create things with my hands. Anything from baking a sourdough bread to sewing or painting!
What inspires your fashion style?
Oh, so many things! Nowadays the most important thing is that it’s comfortable and practical. Since becoming a mother I don’t ever wanna feel restricted by my clothes, I gotta be able to get down and dirty with my son or be able to pick him up when he asks for it.
At the same time it’s still important for me to feel like myself and dress up though, so it’s all about finding that balance. Apart from the must of the clothes being practical, Tokyo, where I live, is definitely an inspiration. There are so many people with unique styles and cools shops to browse through so it’s almost hard not to get inspired.
How did the idea of starting Shopsilkes come about?
I have always loved to create things but it has always been something I just do for myself. When the corona situation worsened over here, I got a lot of time to both think but also to spend at home. I wanted to create something that could maybe one day be a stepping stone to turn my passions into businesses.
I love fashion, I love vintage, I love luxury and I love to create things. Silkes is a combination of all that. In a time when we all should be more cautious with our fashion purchases and the impact it has on the environment, I decided that instead of creating something brand new, I will source authentic vintage high end scarves and repurpose them into hair accessories. This is a way for people to get something new and luxurious to wear but at a lower cost both for their wallets and the planet.
What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A big passion of mine is art. I love to paint and recently I created an Instagram called @BagTheBeast just for my art. I paint on vintage Louis Vuitton bags and who knows, maybe this can become another business of mine in the future?
Do you have a sweet tooth?
So boring but I don’t really eat too much sweets. Maybe some chocolate during that time of the month but otherwise I am more of a savory person.
If you could have a superpower, what will it be?
Hard one. It would either be something selfish like stopping time so I could enjoy my little boy for longer or I would choose something like reversing the climate crisis or something like that. Haha I realize that both these answers are boring, but I am pretty happy with who I am right now without any superpowers.
What 3 fun things do you love to do in the city you live in?
I’m a sucker for a good coffee so first thing I always do when I get into town is hit up one of the cafes! If not coffee, I also love to go for some bubble tea.
Tokyo has some of the most interesting shops in the world so I usually narrow down to one of all the shopping districts depending on what Im looking for or feel like seeing and then I can spend hours there just browsing.
I am also always on the lookout for a new good restaurant. Japan has the best food and the number of restaurants here is endless. I never head in to Tokyo without having a good meal!
What do you not get about guys?
Honestly, I kinda feel like I have them all figured out haha. Am I allowed to say that?
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Anita. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Confidence! Nothing is sexier than a confident person, but don’t get it wrong with arrogance, because that would probably be the least sexy thing.
I have always been artsy and creative since at a young age and I’m all for the arts in all forms – whether it be in creative/design, performing arts, literature, and in science too as there’s art in every aspect of life. Like any other young ‘un i just drew on papers with pencils, markers, crayons and my family noticed and encouraged me to do more of them. I started taking it seriously when my mom suggested I take a diploma in illustration when the time has arrived for me to choose my career path in college.

Challenges Of Being An Illustrator
Illustration comes in many forms, styles and directions in terms of technicality and medium so it was never difficult. Anything can be an illustration piece when you just start letting your creativity flow and translate that to any canvas! The challenges I personally face on a day to day basis is honestly just staying true to my style and sticking to it mostly as I can get very detailed oriented in my pieces, and I am very particular on making sure the focus is apparent to every aspect of an artwork that can take up quite some time to complete.
But that also is finding the style that suits you most (which took me a while to obtain, master and execute) and also being confident about it and using it as a medium to sell yourself as an artist. But overall, anyone can be an illustrator just like how anyone can be an artist.
3 Of My Favorite Art Pieces!
1.(Drowned In Envy, Digital, 2019)
This piece is the first to really kick off my vision of the style I have long envisioned but I had no idea nor clue on how to execute, it’s actually based off a reference from an online zine called Dark Beauty and that’s when I know the direction I’m headed for all my future illustration pieces. This meant a lot to me as it’s a piece that got sold the most when I debuted at Comic Fiesta 2019 as a vendor, and I had people appreciating my art in real life. Not going to lie, after I had it rendered I was a little scared at how dark it looked in the end especially on the sharp expression. But it was different, and it holds a special place in my heart.
2. (Lost in Lust, Digital, 2019)
This was actually done with by ‘recycling’ one of my old concept design artworks from my final year project during college. I completely stripped the character where I made her look more ethereal and have her shown her body more. It was one of the quickest to render and I’m impressed at the overall tone, emotion and simplicity in the end.
3. (Broken Beyond Repair, Pencils, 2020)
One of my most recent traditional pieces I’ve drawn in my sketchbook where I mindlessly just draw without much of a direction. All I did was cleaned up the lines, planned a little bit more on what else to strategically add, and that’s about it. It’s somewhat an unfinished piece, too. It’s probably a habit for most artists to have many incomplete works. I might just complete it and add more dead flowers in the future.
Misconceptions About Illustrators & Artists
Usually I don’t hear much on my behalf but I would hear things like artists can’t do other things like graphic design and also that we aren’t worth much for one skill set. But that’s why versatility is extremely important and me as an artist, I would want to learn as much as I can to expand my repertoire and be more than just one title.
To be able to master art is one thing but what drives it to fatality is letting that be the only attribute for you to make a name for yourself. An artist can do and be so much more and that’s the beauty of it.
One of my personal favourite traditional sketches.
Tips One Should Know Before Being An Illustrator
Never give up on discovering yourself as a person and the things you do as an artist/illustrator/designer/creative. And it’s okay to rediscover yourself again and again. Art is in humanity itself and to be human is extremely vital to translate that into our canvases.
Always push yourself out of your comfort zone and that’s how people will notice you and take your creative direction into their liking. We go into phases and being comfortable will only deter us from reaching into our fullest potentials. Always paint, draw or design with a purpose – whether as practice or to experiment with different styles/techniques.
Always stay as active as you can be, never stop researching and never be afraid of criticism. We might be completely different in our own ways but we still have so much more to learn and it’s always a great feeling to be able to put the new found knowledge into good use. Never stop learning. It is never too late nor never too much to continue expanding your skills.
Keep going, keep pushing, but never be too hard on yourself. Art is extremely subjective. You’ll never know how much you’ll inspire others until you keep on going and realise how far you’ve come- as an artist, as a student, and as a human being.

The Inspiration Behind My Existing Style
I would say my art aesthetic is raw, intense, vulnerable, and more on the dirty, sexy side in terms of my current direction. I love drawing faces and details matter to me. I love to translate the person that I am to my artworks.
I love the anti-pretty movement in my style where I love dark beauty, conceptual designs and where people usually go “whoa, that’s dark,” but people can still be gravitated to it – and those are the things that brought joy to my heart as there is beauty and reasoning even in unorthodox things, dead botanica, and unfinished, unforgotten debris.
I get inspiration from mangas, animes, other talented artists online, and photography. I love incorporating poetry and writing into it too so that there’s a story to tell.
Digital Reference study/practice of singer/songwriter SZA.
My Future Plans To Expand As An Illustrator
I plan to participate in more art conventions and to visualise and execute my artworks in products like sketchbooks and/or notebooks, tote bags and other stationeries. I have already done stickers and prints so far and I would love to see my vision coming true of compiling my original artworks, poetry and writing into a visual book someday.
Hey there! My name is Adele, and I am currently a creative designer while freelancing as an illustrator by profession. I’ve been drawing since I was a kind, and professionally for companies and clients since 2012 whilst still completing my diploma in my college, The One Academy. Aside from Illustration, I also do concept art, visual development and also storyboarding. Even graphic design. I love music, photography, literature such as poetry and non-fictional stories, and other things like makeup, fashion + food styling and baking as well. I love all things unorthodox and I strive for uniqueness and meaning in everything I do, yet I would want to remain kind, humble and empathetic as much as possible no matter where I am today.
If it wasn’t for the global pandemic, I will be participating in more art conventions such as Comic Art Fiesta and return once more to Comic Fiesta for the second time. By then, I hope to do more artworks and release an artbook for the first time, while also continuously updating my art profiles/websites.
Thank you for reaching out! My name is Roselle De Leon, but most people call me Ros for short. I’m a 22 year old interior and events designer based in Manila.
Do you have any hobbies or interests?
Aside from designing events and interiors, I’m really interested in art, poetry and music — I sketch and paint from time to time, and even write poems. Lol! I also learnt how to play the violin when I was younger and still remember how to play a few pieces.
I also love traveling and shopping whenever I’m not working, and just spending time with my family and friends. I’d like to think also that I’m pretty independent, so enjoying a good day walking around and even watching a movie by myself makes me happy.
What is your fashion style like?
I don’t really have a specific style since I find all trends interesting, but I usually dress up depending on the occasion and depending on my mood. I feel like my fashion sense is always evolving and is diverse just like my personality. I can go from sophisticated chic to normcore, to edgy and street in a day and still feel comfortable.
Is there a food or drink you absolutely can’t live without?
Coffee and sushi for sure! You can take away red meat or chicken from me, but I can’t live without seafood. I can eat fish for the rest of my life, and I’d be happy. I also can’t start and end my day without coffee — it’s my lifeline!
What is a typical day like for you?
I’m currently in the events industry and have been for the past two years, so you can just imagine how crazy my life and schedule is. A typical day for me is hectic, fast-paced and very much unpredictable. It’s also normal for me to go days without sleeping and working continuously, so usually one day for me would last about 38 hours or even more; jumping from one place to another, from the office to meetings, an ocular then ingress.
It’s pretty insane and I’m basically a walking zombie, but it makes me happy and it’s what keeps me going. I guess you could call me a workaholic.
Which flavor best describes you?
Probably cappuccino cause the taste can be unpredictable, cause you never know if the version you’re having is sweet or bitter. The taste of coffee is also addicting, and its aroma is luring so I’d like to think I’m also the same 😉 Lol!
If you could have a superpower, what will it be?
If I could have one superpower, I’d want to have the ability to see the future or read people’s minds. It’d be convenient and would save me a lot of trouble.
What turns you off on a date?
It’s honestly a turn off if the person I’m on a date with is egocentric, too self-absorbed and isn’t even interested in what I have to say — it says a lot about one’s character and intentions. It’s important for me to be on a par with someone and to have an equal partner in conversation.
An empathetic guy who can make me laugh, who genuinely cares and can keep a good and sensible conversation going is a huge turn on!
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Ros. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
I feel like just like ‘beauty’ — sexiness is in the eye of the beholder and for me, it isn’t about how you physically look and how you dress. It’s based on how you bring yourself and how you treat people, and if you treat them kindly. Sexiness is your passion, your drive and your confidence; it’s also being kind, independent and hard-working.
And no worries, thank you for having me! It was my pleasure.

It is a pleasure to feature you Adele. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexy first comes from an intimacy I have developed with myself to not hold back every divine quality that is already there from birth, so the development of sexiness is often re-living and remembering how truly amazing I am/women are.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Honey. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
It has to do with personality, with the soul because the physical part is not perfect and always changes every day as it is transformed.
On the other hand, the soul has no wrinkle, it does not age, it is infinite, inmutable and radiant.
