    I’m your city girl from KL! Studied locally but worked in New Zealand for quite a number of years. In New Zealand, I started presenting for a fintech company I worked for in New Zealand. That branched out to other small opportunities which include pitching, creating presentations and presenting on other companies behalf.

    As of now, I’m focused on my career as a professional emcee for all sorts of events from casual, formal to corporate. I’ve also been blessed with the opportunity this year to host for Bio Oil and Motherhood.com.my. I absolutely love hosting, so hopefully this year will continue to bring in more opportunities for that! Little gigs on the side include reviewing sponsored products or services on social media and attending events as well.

    I work out regularly (minimum 4x a week),

    I love salsa dancing (though I’m a complete amateur),

    How did you get started into being an emcee?

    I got started with encouragement and support from a good friend and mentor, Slyde. He encouraged me quite early on back in the days when I first started out in the freelance industry as a part time model. I used to be ridiculously shy when I was first given the opportunity to emcee at a wedding and had no idea how to shake off the stage fright.

    Other than Slyde, I did actually have a few other people who had asked if I emceed when I hadn’t even started out just yet. I guess it’s because I had no problems chatting up a storm with an absolute stranger and loved making new friends. Speaking into a mic with all eyes on me was foreign and intimidating at that time, and I had never expected to be as comfortable with a mic as I am today.

    What do you love about being an emcee and is it a lot harder than it looks?

    I love making an impact at every event. I absolutely love hosting events where crowd interactions are mandatory! I love everything there is to love about being an emcee, our responsibilities and the role we play. We’re the face of the event through good and bad, we control the flow of the event, we have to be quick on our feet to cover up for any hiccups at an event, we bring attention to the right people at the right time and heck, sometimes we’re considered as part of the entertainment as well!

    In all honesty; it doesn’t technically get easier, you just get better. You learn from mistakes, you learn to improvise, you learn new tricks to engage with the audience. The first few times may be nerve wrecking! But these things take time, the courage to fail and learn, and most importantly the desire to host.

    Which is a memorable or unforgettable event you have done before?

    I love this question, thank you for asking me this! The most memorable event I hosted for, would be the World Cup finals last year at One Utama. There was quite a big crowd, and also lots and lots of freebies that were provided by the event’s very generous sponsors. It is unfortunate that I never got the video of my funny antics but I remember coming up with an idea to get the crowd really hyped up. There were about at least 30 people that were pretty much ‘in my face’ and I told them to scream the loudest at me while I closed my eyes and threw the freebie in my hand, towards the direction of the person that screamed the loudest.

    It was absolute fun and I used that trick over and over again at my other events during crowd interactions. It was one of the best emcee moments that I’ve had, where I was able to garner the focus of so many people at the same time and be so interactive with them. I absolutely loved that moment. From then on, I replicated the situations throughout my other events that allowed for me to do so.

    Your IG has quite a lot of great quotes. Do you have any quotes or mottos that you always use regularly?

    I’ve decided to design my IG in a way where you see a consistent pattern of quotes and photos. Some photos that are posted immediately after the quotes bring significant meaning to the quotes itself. There are two of my favourite quotes that I have not yet posted, but will be posting eventually.

    “Throw me to the wolves, and I’ll return leading the pack.”

    “She needed a hero, so she became one”.

    These are both very strong quotes on thriving on your own, being pushed to the depths where you are caught in distress but still being able to come out right on top. Despite the incredible support system of a loving partner, family and friends; I still sincerely live by these two mottos day by day.

    Where have you always wanted to travel to but have yet to find the time for it?

    This is more of a financial issue rather than timing! But most definitely JAPAN! They say, if you can afford Europe it doesn’t mean you can afford Japan, but if you can afford Japan you can definitely afford Europe. At least that’s what I’ve been told. I absolutely love Japanese food, am intrigued about their culture and have fallen in love with the sakura blossoms before I’ve ever met them.

    When I travel to Japan, I will not be skimping at all. I will pamper myself lavishly from street food to Michelin star restaurants. I will taste their outlandishly overpriced fruits that were carefully taken care of and I will most definitely hunt for the best Wagyu and Otoro out there. Just responding to this is having my head and tummy go into a frenzy!

    If you could learn anything, what will it be?

    If I could learn anything and be really good at it as well, it would be martial arts. And I’m trying to get into that direction too! Have just started going to some kickboxing classes too! On a ‘softer note’, I would also love to be able to play the violin. There’s something so elegant but somehow badass about being able to play the violin!

    Is there something you can never get enough of?

    I have pillows, bed sheets and lingerie obsession. I have about 15 pillows in my living room, and 6 on my bed (2 large pillows). I absolutely love Egyptian cotton sheets, silk sheets (or pillow sheets at least-those babies are expensive!) and bamboo sheets too. I particularly love lace and silk and I get overwhelmed with beautiful long robes. I simply adore the robes and silk dresses from the Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard movie “Allied”.

    I never seem to have enough of these!

    To put it simply, being sexy is being confident. If you’re in the most beautiful silk and lace lingerie with that gorgeous hair all made up but somehow feel insecure and unsure; that will render that confident girl in that t-shirt and jeans way sexier than you. Overconfidence isn’t sexy, there was to be a right amount of confidence and a little attitude all while being humble about it too. That will make you ooze in sexiness and elegance too. Being sexy is being confident, believing in yourself, knowing that you are beautiful. Sexy isn’t a shape, it’s an attitude.

    Living in Southern California, there is always so much to choose from. In the summer I love the beach, and in the winter, heading up to the mountains is always a good time.

    In my city, I love to visit my favorite local coffee shop, they have the best toast and bread options to choose from.

    Is there any food or drink you can’t live without?

    Coffee and french fries, but maybe not together, haha.

    Are you more of a morning person or night owl?

    I’m definitely more of a morning person. I use to be a night owl, until I got a job in LA and had to leave by 5am to get into work on time. Now, I can’t stay up past 11PM.

    If you could time travel, what will you like to witness or experience?

    I love history so it’s hard to nail down one specific time. I’d definitely be interesting in going back, experiencing the Renaissance in Europe or the 1940’s in Britain.

    What is a lame attempt a guy has tried to know you before?

    When guys come on too strong and try to share their whole life story with you on a dating app before you have even said “Hi”.

    Hi, this is Mini. I am a tattoo artist based in Hong Kong. I brought the fresh breeze of Small Tattoo to Hong Kong few years ago. After learning the technique from Korea, I opened my own tattoo studio, Mini Tattoo, which focuses on small-scale tattoos.

    How did you get inspired to the world of tattoos and be a tattoo artist?

    My tattoo style is mostly inspired by the Korean tattoo trend. It is colorful, petite, and the lines are thin and less bold. Most of my work is inspired by nature. Dainty flowers, exquisite feathers, and simplistic dream catchers are popular commissions among my clients. I guess that is why my tattoos are popular among young women and first-time tattoo-ers.

    I have been interested in tattoo art since secondary school. I have always had a passion for drawing, so I had the idea of becoming a tattoo artist instead. It was not easy at first. I looked up tattoo shops online and went knocking on their doors with my portfolio, asking if they would take me as a student. Only one tattoo shop took me as student. I started my journey to become a tattoo artist when I was 16.

    What is your specialty of Small Tattoo about?

    For me, I think small tattoos can be an art form that is here to stay and hope that my creations bring “a steady stream of creative spirit” to those who wear them.

    Which are the favorite tattoos you have done before?

    I once tattooed a client suffering from depression.  I know that her parents divorced when she was young, and her parents-in-law took care of her. She tried to hurt herself and committed suicide when she was unhappy. She still had many scars on her hands. She had been sexually harassed by her cousin when she was young. 

    Fortunately, her personality changed after raising a dog, and she later published a book for it.  The puppy was very sensible and knew that she was unhappy, so the puppy kept struggling to grab the door and saved her many times. Among the many tattoos, this impressed me very much.

    For someone who has never gotten a tattoo before, what do you recommend for their first?

    I always ask my clients to think thoroughly before considering getting a tattoo, because it is a permanent thing. Tattoos hold meanings for people. They are a form of art and it means a lot to clients and tattoo artists.

    I once had a customer who asked me to tattoo a robot design that was just a random sketch from someone. It was a quite simple pattern, but what hit me the most was the reason behind that tattoo. I asked her why she wanted such a simple tattoo, and she replied matter-of-factly, “Because it makes me happy. I laugh whenever I look at it, so I want to find a way to preserve it forever. ”

    Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?

    Usually I will travel to different countries as a guest tattoo artist. Due to Covid-19, I stayed in Hong Kong this year. I started to prepare my tattoo course. I wish the virus would go away. Wish everyone a safe passage through this difficult period.

    I think getting tattooed is very sexy. Tattoos can make people feel confident and express who they are.

    Hi, I am Tammie Chew. I’m a Singaporean actress, widely known as “Happy” from TV drama “Menantu International” and “Couple Cosmo”, from 2015 to 2020. I’m also an emcee and producer.

    Was being in showbiz something you’ve always wanted to do growing up?

    Actually no. Growing up in Singapore, I’ve been taught to be practical about my goals. If my friend didn’t sign me up for a beauty pageant, leading to my first TV role, I will have probably continued in my office job. So there were plenty of times when I doubted my career choice, wondering if I should just quit.

    What tips or advice can you give to aspiring actors and those who like to go into acting as a career?

    As an actor, you need to be resourceful, resilient and very hardworking. All that while still looking your best.

    You need to be resilient when facing rejections in auditions, audience’s response, the drastic difference in the highs and lows. You have to understand that rejections and fluctuations in your career is not directly related to your worth. There are simply too many factors to decide whether you’ll have work or be recognised for your work.

    You have to be resourceful to find opportunities and make an impression. Even if things are not moving, you still need to continue pushing and improving yourself.

    And when you have work, you have to give it your all, make it count, be professional. People need to know that you are good to work with, so your career can have longevity.

    What are your proudest achievement so far?

    I remember when I first walked the red carpet of the awards ceremony, I felt like all my hardwork and perseverance was worth it. I was nominated as the Most Promising Actor Award at the Mediacorp Pesta Perdana

    I thought that was my proudest moment. But it was until much later when my producer told me something that made me realise that being an actor is much bigger than just myself. Someone told my producer that he used to be racist and stubbornly believed that all Mainland Chinese are bad and have no manners. But after watching my show, he realised that he should not be so fixated on his thinking, and is now willing to not be racist. It was then that I realised, as actors, our shows and what we do have an impact in people and the society. And to be able to bring about a positive change is my proudest moment so far.

    Do you have a strict beauty or exercise regime that you follow?

    I do. I try to exercise at least twice a week. I meditate, try to always have warm drinks instead of chilled drinks. I usually use 7 to 10 skincare products on my face every morning and night.

    If you could collaborate with anyone past or present, who will it be?

    I have been saying this in multiple interviews and people always laugh when I say this. So, I really want to act alongside Nicholas Tse, and have him as my co-star. Or rather, be his co-star. Other than the fact that he is an awesome actor, I think I will definitely learn a lot from him. But also mainly because he has been my idol since I was 15! I’m ok to not get my actor’s fee just to be able to act alongside my idol. Haha!

    Do you have any other hobbies or interests?

    I love music and movies. I also love the sun and the waters. So if I am not working, you will probably find me playing the guitar and singing, or in the ktv, or movies. Or jogging, cycling, rollerblading at the beach or reservoirs.

    What is an ideal first date to you?

    An ideal first date will be… when you are really comfortable with that person. To have long conversations over some wine, without realising that time just flew by.

    5 Things You Should Know Before Buying a Sex Toy

    Have you made the decision to buy your first sex toy? That’s great! Now, where do you get started?

    Sex toys aren’t just limited to vibrators and dildos. There’s a whole plethora of options to explore and chances are that you’ll be coming across some of those for the very first time.

    With all of this diversity, it can be tough to make up your mind.

    To make the right decision, you have to go through a couple of considerations. Here are the five most important things you should definitely know before hitting that “buy” button.

    Sex Toy Materials Are Not Created Equal

    The material that a sex toy is made of is probably the most important factor to examine.

    There’s one critical reason why you should be extra careful – as of now, the sex toy market is NOT regulated. This means there are no set standards concerning the safety of materials. As a result, some low quality products could feature compounds and chemicals deemed dangerous.

    Looking for a “body safe” label is the first thing you’ll have to do. Even if the label is there, make sure that the material itself is actually body safe before you add a toy to your bedroom fun repertoire.

    Good sex toy materials are non-porous. They don’t harbor bacteria and they’re very easy to clean and sanitize. Some such materials include medical-grade silicone, glass and metal. Jelly and PVC, on the other hand, are highly porous and should be avoided.

    Other good materials are plastics and rubbers but these need to be phthalate-free. Phthalates are considered potential carcinogens, which is why you don’t want them coming anywhere close to your body.

    Two other possible materials you may come across are TPE and TPR. These are both types of plastic that are phthalate-free. There have been, however, discussions about the quality of these materials. While they are generally considered safe enough, TPE and TPR are porous. If you can afford it, do opt for something a bit more expensive and safer.

    Bigger Isn’t Always Better

    Whether you’re looking at g-spot stimulators or dildos that cum, do understand one very important thing – bigger isn’t always better in the world of sex toys.

    As a beginner, you could be drawn to girthy and unnaturally big toys.

    The problem with those is that they’re not made of human flesh. As a result, some toys will be stiffer and less flexible.

    People who don’t have experience with sex toys could find bigger items unpleasant or even painful. Even lube wouldn’t be enough to rectify the situation.

    The best approach is to start out small. Get yourself a smaller vibrator and a dildo with realistic dimensions. These will be some of the most versatile sex toys in your collection. As you become more accustomed to those, you can move on to exploring larger items.

    In the world of sex toys, girth tends to be more important than length. A long sex toy may be a good idea because you’ll find it easier to grip. A very thick toy, on the other hand, may be completely unusable.

    A sex toy doesn’t have to look realistic in order to give you the experience of a lifetime.

    Rather, you should focus on the right kind of stimulation.

    The more textured and curved a sex toy is, the more difficult it will be to clean thoroughly. In addition, some types of sex toys shouldn’t be submerged in water because their mechanism will get damaged.

    Always check the care instructions before buying a specific type of toy. Some can just be sprayed with a sex toy cleaning solution and wiped clean. Others will require a bit more effort to remain in pristine condition. If you’re not that meticulous about sanitization, you should opt for an item that’s easy to clean.

    How often will you use your toy?

    Knowing the frequency of sexy times will enable the selection of some additional settings and functionalities.

    For a start, a rechargeable sex toy is a good idea if you don’t want to buy new batteries every week. There are still old-school sex toys with a battery compartment. The problem is that regular batteries make the item heavier and they also increase the risk of running out of steam in the middle of a sexy session.

    A corded toy is also not an option (although some such toys do still exist). The cord limits the use of the item, it could get in the way and it completely eliminates the possibility to have more fun.

    As you can see, practical considerations are just as important as determining the type of toy that would work well for you.     A final thing to remember is that the price should not be the primary factor (although it’s a good idea to set some budget). Very often, cheap products end up costing you a lot more in the long-run than a well-made but more expensive toy.

    If you come across an offer that’s too good to be true, it probably is. Do your research and use online resources to do a bit of comparison. When you acquaint yourself with the market, you’ll find it much easier to spot quality.

    How is a typical day like for yourself?

    After I wake up, the first thing I check would definitely be Instagram, then my stocks and emails. I walk my boys (Alaskan Klee Kai) 2 times a day, feed them and then usually run errands or get any appointments done during the day before traffic hits and then spend usually 1.5 hr to 2 hrs on my work out. I work from home so I spend usually few hours on the computer and see clients if I need to.

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of an adventurer are you?

    I wouod say I’m a 7.

    Does chivalry still exist today?

    I don’t think so. Lol.

    My proudest achievement is my son, he gives me so much strength and showed me that no possibilities can get closed after having a baby, and actually all possibilities get even more opened.

    Thanks to him I’ve discovered myself and realized that I’m much stronger than I thought and coming back to the shape and working as a model after labour was very possible.

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?

    Definitely a 10! I love food as much as I love to sleep! 

    Unfortunately I can’t eat as much as I want to be a model, and same with sleeping, because my son loves to be awake at night, haha 🙂 

    What have you always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?

    There’s no time barriers for me. I will always find time for what I put as my purpose, can say that I’ve always wanted to live in an exotic country and the only thing that stops me from that is the wrong time right now, and I’m sure when the time passes, I will be able to move. 

    If you could have a super power, what will it be?

    If I would have a super power, I would definitely look into peoples’ minds, as I’m always thinking what a person has inside their mind and if they’re are true intentions.

    What turns you off on a date?

    That’s actually a good question. What turns me Off on a date is when the man is boring. I like it when I’m teased a little bit. And love to be excited about the person I’m dating.

    Hi to all the readers, I am Penthesilea, I’m 34 years old and I live in Amsterdam. I’m a model and the founder of my own cosmetic brand.

    What do you love most about modeling?

    I like the traveling, meeting new people and I love the beautiful pictures of myself.

    Is there any genre of modeling you specialize or prefer to do more than others?

    I specialize in lingerie.

    Do you follow a regular beauty or exercise regime?

    To be honest I get this question a lot, but I have to say I don’t do anything special. I don’t exercise or follow a certain diet or beauty routine. I think less is more.

    How will you describe a typical day like for yourself?

    It really depends. I have 2-3 photoshoots per week. Besides photoshoots, I handle orders from Be Glamourous two times a week.

    Is there a place or city you have always wanted to travel to for a holiday?

    I really want to go to the Bahamas to swim with pigs.

    If you could have a superpower, what will it be?

    I really want to be invisible, so I can spy on everyone 🙂

    What is a funny or lame attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    There are so many lame attempts, I think men shouldn’t try so hard. Just be yourself.

    For me “sexy” is not a certain appearance of clothes. I think sexy is when a man or woman is totally authentic, when they don’t try too hard, to be confident, honest and well mannered.

    Latin Ballroom Dancer & Model Amy Sharp

    Hi there!  Of course, thank you for having me be a part of your magazine!  I’m originally from Indiana; I relocated to Sarasota, Florida about 10 years ago.  I currently work in Human Resources during the day, and at night, am a competitive Latin ballroom dancer and internationally published model. 

    I’ve been published in several online and print magazines, and specialize in fashion editorials, glamour, dance/yoga, and boudoir.  I also teach Zumba and yoga.  Outside of work I enjoy playing the piano, traveling, and going on adventures like shark diving or skydiving!

    What is a typical day like for yourself?

    I like to start my days early because I have the most energy in the mornings.  I usually get up around 5am and start my day with meditation, affirmations, reading and journaling.  I typically have a very full schedule, so this quiet time in the morning is very important for me to get my mind right for the day. 

    After my “self-development” time, I like to get a workout in before work, so I usually go to Pure Barre or do some yoga or jogging.  I then have a full day at my 9-5.  After work, I will typically run straight to a shoot or to dance practice at my studio!  I try to schedule at least one or two days a week that are just for me in the evening, but overall I love to stay busy, especially when I’m focused only on opportunities that I love and am passionate about!

    Did being a dancer make it easier for you to go into modeling?

    Absolutely!  I’ve also had several photographers tell me they’ve had better shoots with dancers than professional models!  Dancers tend to be very aware of their bodies and which angles look best on them, which is pertinent at a shoot. 

    Personally, dance has helped increase my confidence tremendously, which was one of the biggest factors in getting back in front of the camera after taking several years off.

    How do you juggle everything you do and find time for yourself?

    The most important thing for me is to stay in tune with my emotions and accept only the opportunities I feel completely aligned with and excited by.  If I can feel myself getting drained, I won’t schedule as many shoots for a couple weeks in order to rest and restore my passion in what I’m doing. 

    I am very fortunate to be able to live a life full of what I love, but too much of anything is never a good thing and can actually cause anxiety if you don’t purposely schedule in your “me time”.  Good nutrition, daily exercise, taking vitamins and supplements, daily self-development and getting proper sleep are the keys to keeping my mindset right.

    What will you like to learn or take up if you had the chance?

    I’ve always been fascinated by contortion and getting your body to move in ways that are “unnatural” for the average person.  I study and practice in my free time but would love to be able to dive more in depth with it at some point!  That along with fire-hooping!  I hoop in my free time but have never worked up the courage to take it to the next level with a fire hoop!  Maybe in 2021 😉

    If you could have a superpower, what will it be and why?

    Omnilingualism – The ability to learn and speak any language instantly.  I am absolutely fascinated by other cultures and love to travel so I think it would be awesome to be able to communicate with anyone across the globe.  I’ve studied Spanish since middle school and my goal is to be bilingual at some point. 

    Even with years and years of experience, I find myself constantly pausing while speaking to figure out how to properly conjugate verbs in the correct tense.  It would be awesome to be able to do this in any language without a second thought!

    Which flavor best describes you?

    HAHAHA I love that question.  I think I’m a jalapeño because I like to keep things spicy and interesting.  And just like a jalapeño, sometimes I’m spicier on certain days, you just never know what you’re gonna get hahaha.

    Do you have any quotes or mottos you like to use regularly?

    Yes I have a ton of favorite quotes and affirmations that I post on sticky notes all over my house and car because I truly believe your mindset is the most important thing to take care of!  Some of my favorites are:

    “What you appreciate, appreciates.”

    “You are as happy as you decide you want to be!”

    “What you focus on, you create more of.”

    “If the only prayer you ever said was ‘thank you’, it would be more than enough.”

    I love these ones in particular because they are little reminders that you are in control of your thoughts, beliefs and emotions, and the biggest key to pulling yourself out of a negative place is by finding gratitude for everything you do have.

    I define sexy as really knowing and learning to love who you truly are.  Oftentimes this goes against what is trending mainstream, but I think it’s so sexy when someone can embrace their love for anime or checkers or whatever random hobbies they have that sets their soul on fire.  It’s what makes a person them! 

    I also think having goals and ambition is sexy. So many people are content working a 9-5 they’re not passionate about and numbing themselves with food, alcohol or TV every evening until bedtime.  They then repeat that for 40 years. 

    I don’t know about you, but I want more than that and I think it’s really sexy when other people are driven to really live life to the fullest whether it’s with entrepreneurship, a career they’re passionate about, a hobby, travel, starting a family, etc.  Living their truth.
