California Model & Kinesiology Major, Victoria Nguyen

Hello everyone! My name is Victoria, I’m 21 and I’m currently a fourth year college student majoring in Kinesiology. For any of you horoscope lovers, my sun sign is Leo and my ascendant is in Taurus. I’m originally from San Ramon (or near Dublin) and lived there pretty much my whole life before I moved to the Central Valley for college.

What is your beauty regime like to look so beautiful?

My beauty regime is pretty simple – instead of the monstrous 8-step Korean routine, I do a 5-step routine LOL! I use a cleanser, tone, serum, aloe cream and then a moisturizer, 2-3 times per day, and then a face mask (mud masks, exfoliator or sheet masks are my fave) 3 times a week. I’ve recently been invested into going to an esthetician every month to do facials and more skin care because your face is the first thing people notice and you don’t want to look like you don’t care about your skin.

As for my makeup regime, I do the whole shebang, from primer, baking, contour, setting mist, you name it! I also try to keep my makeup products a mix of drugstore and higher end. My foundations are usually higher end, and then the powders are typically cheaper like Coty AirSpun, which work just as good as the more expensive ones.

Do you have any hobbies or interests?

If I’m not at school or work, I indulge my time into working out (my friends call me a gym rat for that), dancing, cooking or DIY-ing. You can usually find me working on a new painting, or repurposing thrifted clothes into more wearable, modern pieces! I also absolutely love thrift shopping and finding beautiful statement pieces.

How do you like to spend your weekends?

My weekends always consist of hanging out with my friends in the Bay Area, or at home relaxing with my dog and cat, or a new photoshoot. I’m in a sorority so I’m constantly making new connections at mixers and get together’s that people invite me to. It’s nice to unwind after a long week and just read or do some self-care at home.

Which 3 items are most important in your wardrobe?

Oof, that’s a tough question… I would have to say black, high-waisted leggings, a black bodysuit, and a bold statement heel! You can always dress up, or dress down leggings and comfort is always over everything to me. Bodysuits accentuate your body’s natural curves and it just looks nice and sleek. Heels! They bring any look together, and my personal favorite recently has been a white chunky heel.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?

Definitely a 7 out of 10. I usually call myself a grandma because I like to stay home, or do more relaxing things, but when you get me out there… I like to party… hard… maybe a little too hard sometimes. But there’s nothing wrong with having fun as long as you stay safe!

Are you more of a lingerie or bikini babe?

I love wearing lingerie because it makes me feel sexy and grown. There is so much to lingerie as well – you got your teddies, garters and whatnot. They’re just so fun to wear; plus they make great gifts to your girlfriends too!

What do you not get about guys?

How they can be so clueless all. The. Time. Like you’ll explain something to them clearly, but they still have the audacity to ask “huh? Wym?” Dude I just explained it to you. Honestly guys are a species of their own.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Victoria. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

I define sexy as the way someone thinks, as well as the way they carry themselves. Someone can have the most curvy body and look beautiful but have a terrible personality, and that’s not sexy. One day you’re not going to have those looks anymore, and what are you going to fall back on? Personality and your brain. If I can talk to you beyond surface level conversations, and you’re interested, knowledgeable and understanding? That’s what I find sexy.
