    Cosplay Content Creator Chuu

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to feature me. I am a full-time software engineer and part-time cosplay content creator based in northern California.

How did you get started into cosplaying?

It must’ve been around 7th grade? I was really into Vocaloid at the time, and my friend told me about an anime convention called Kawaii Kon some random afternoon. I looked it up and fell in love with the idea, so I begged my mom to let me attend and cosplay Hatsune Miku. It was so exhilarating to interact with other fans and meet my favorite talents. Back then I cosplayed casually, but nowadays I take it quite seriously when I cosplay any character.

What inspires your cosplay character to cosplay as?

I’m largely influenced by anime or video games that my friends or fans tell me about, and after I watch something or play something, I easily fall in love with certain characters. If I feel like I can portray them well and bring them to life, I’ll end up either buying or making the cosplay.

How is a typical day like for you?

Hmm, I have had a few professional gigs as a cosplayer, but I’m actually a software engineer by trade. It’s a profession that takes up a lot of my time and energy during the weekdays, so my day is usually spent programming, and then winding down with kdramas or anime at the end of the night. I allocate my entire weekend to content creation though! I spend every weekend self-shooting pictures or video content then editing and planning out posts for the week. I also sew and craft sometimes, depending on whether I have a new cosplay project.

What have you always wanted to do or learn but have yet to find the time for it?

I’ve always wanted to hone my language skills. Specifically, Chinese and Japanese, but it’s really difficult to keep up when you don’t have a conversation partner.

Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?

I thought long and hard about this question but nothing comes to mind! My life is riddled with embarrassing moments. But they’re so embarrassing to me I just block them out of my memory and try not to think of it LOL.

If you could have a superpower, what will it be?

I think having absurdly good luck would be an OP superpower.  Can you imagine it? That’s like, going to Chipotle and always getting fresh guac, or never getting your socks wet walking in the rain. I’d feel so reassured and relaxed having luck on my side.

What turns you off on a date?

Hmm, my biggest turn off is being too egocentric. I went on a date once where the other person ordered food for me without even getting my opinion first, just because they frequented the restaurant and “knew all the best dishes”. I’m a person that cares deeply about the happiness and comfort of others, so people who brazenly take charge without first considering another person’s thoughts or feelings do not mesh well with my character.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Chuu. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

“Sexy” to me is a mix of charisma, confidence, and compassion. I think everyone exhibits those traits a little differently, but one (fictional) example is Yamada from “My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999”. I’m a little embarrassed to use a character as an example but Yamada is undeniably a sexy character LOL.

  • HongKong Cosplayer SsinN

    HongKong Cosplayer SsinN

Hello, thank you so much for featuring me on SimplySxy, it’s a pleasure for me too. I’m a cosplayer from Hong Kong, my favourite anime is Evangelion. It is the very first anime that got me into the whole anime world, my favourite character is Mari Makinami Illustrious. I make most of my costumes and weapons, my very first cosplay ever was Yu Kanda from D.Gray Man.

What do you love about cosplay and how long have you been cosplaying?

I have been cosplaying for 15 years, mainly anime / game characters. What I love about cosplay is that I am able to bring my favourite characters to life by making their outfits, their weapons and to imagine myself as them during photoshoots. Also, I love taking photos in places with spectacular views with my cosplay.

Which character have you enjoyed cosplaying most before?

The character I have enjoyed cosplaying the most is Kiana Kaslana from Honkai Impact 3rd.

Is it challenging to create a costume and the props from scratch?

It certainly is, bear in mind anime and game characters are created to fit their story’s aesthetics and not drawn to let you cosplay them. How to keep the character’s look as original as possible and how to adapt them to real life is a true challenge.

What other hobbies and interests do you have?

I enjoy taking photos, not as a model, but as a photographer. I enjoy taking street photos and to shoot in film, FYI my favourite film camera is Rollei 35, and I have 8 of them.

If you could have a super power, what will it be?

I know not many like the film, but I do like the power of the Green Lantern ring. I can create anything from nothing as long as I have a strong will, and I have a super strong will when I know the deadline to conventions is like only hours away. LOL.

Would you rather have the ability to control objects or teleport?

Teleport, so I don’t have to spend time getting stuck in traffic.

What do you not get about guys?

Everything~ haha~ I think one gender can never understand another.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions SsinN. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

I think sexy is not just taking off clothes and flashing your body, it is the vibe a person gives. Being confident is sexy. I believe whatever you wear can be sexy as long as you have that confidence in your eyes.

  • Talented Russian Cosplayer Hackee

    Talented Russian Cosplayer Hackee

Hello! My name is Hackee, I’m 20 years old and I’m a cosplayer from Russia.

What got you interested into cosplay in the first place?

At school, I became interested in anime. I followed a lot of anime groups on social media and one day I saw a post with photos of some cosplayer and I was definitely impressed. I found that cosplay is a good way to express your love for an anime series or for a specific character.

At that time, I associated myself with Taiga from Tora Dora and the cosplay of her became my first one. I really wanted to show how much I feel with the character.

Which are some difficulties or challenges you usually face when preparing for a cosplay?

To be honest, styling the wig is still a big challenge for me. I’m bad at wig making and I only cope with simple tasks like cutting the bangs or sewing two wigs together. If I need to make something more complicated (e.g. Akali’s or Catra’s wig), I rely on a professional wigmaker.

If you could be a cartoon character for real, who will you choose to be?

Ruby Rose! She is one of my favorite characters.

The idea of being a petite girl with heavy and powerful weapon in my hands inspires me for some reason. Ruby is the leader with the strong sense of justice and reliable friend. I strive to be like her: trustworthy, kind and decisive.

How do you like to spend your free time if you are not cosplaying?

Besides cosplay, I do my studies. I am a university student, so I spend a lot of time on learning foreign languages and reading educational literature. One of my hobbies is also related to languages: I like to do literary translations of some stories from Portuguese to Russian.

I also enjoy watching anime and TV series and reading books.

Would you rather have the ability to stop time or control objects?

I would like to have the ability to stop time. I think it is more useful and could help to avoid many mistakes, get into places that you’re not allowed to enter.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?

7/10. I enjoy food for pleasure. I like to try new dishes and new tastes. And I would never miss the opportunity to eat out.

What is a funny or awkward attempt a guy has tried to know you?

I don’t even remember any really awkward or funny situation, but there was a guy who just after saying his name started to show me his photos from the gym. Like «here I do push-ups, here I do sits-ups and there I do pull-ups». Probably it should have impressed me, but no, it didn’t.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Hackee. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Being “sexy” is being confident about yourself and your appearance, it’s the perception of the human body as an object of art, it’s showing your best sides without overdoing it.

  • What It Takes To Be A Cosplayer

What It Takes To Be A Cosplayer

For me cosplay is for fun, it’s about expressing the things you love. Making your favorite characters into real life, you can meet a ton of amazing people who like the same things and grow into a friendship, and learn so many new things (make up, making costume, acting, etc).

In my opinion, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with cosplay. It’s a fun hobby and a way to express yourself, so don’t be shy or afraid with other people judgement.

There are lots of great reasons to cosplay, and while I have several I can point to, the real driving force for me has been self-confidence. I spent many years of my youth feeling awkward, ugly and unwanted. Cosplay has helped turn that around. It’s helped me be more comfortable not only with my outward appearance, but to be more confident emotionally.

How I Got Started Into Cosplay

I love watching anime, reading manga and playing games since I was a child. And I’ve dreamt of what if my favorite characters appeared to me in real life. But in the past, I didn’t have any friends who had the same hobbies with me.

I’m an introvert person, and I’m too shy to express my love towards the things I like. When I grew up, I finally was brave to express the things I liked and decided to go to anime conventions (and in that time I still had no friends to go to anime convention with me).

This was the first time I saw cosplayers and was fascinated. They were so cool, they looked happy to become the character they liked and I wanted to be like that too. I wanted to make my favorite characters come into real life too, I wanted to have friends to share what I liked without feeling like a weird person, and I wanted to have confidence too.

So, I started cosplaying in 2017. I cosplayed as Suzumiya Haruhi and went to anime convention alone. I looked like a lost kid in that place LOL.

But I’m very grateful and never have a single regret. That time many people wanted to take photos with me, and after that they were so happy. I’m happy because I’m doing the things I like and I can make other people happy too. What a blessing. I want to cosplay until I’m old.

Overcoming Challenges As A Cosplayer To Be Successful

Sometimes there are people who assume that cosplaying is stupid, silly, and childlike. They say it’s a waste of time and money, weird, etc. And there will be people who judge you that “your cosplay is so ugly because you are ugly”, bodyshamming, etc. So, in other words, many people will be judges and critic you a lot.

But as you know, don’t ever hear what they say, as many people will support you too. Hear their suggestions that make your cosplay improve and don’t hear what makes you down.

I’m doing what makes me happy and I can learn so many things from that. I always remember that I can’t make EVERYONE happy, there always will be people who dislike cosplay or hate me for no reason. So, don’t think about it too much, do what you like and keep moving forward.

I have a full-time job and it’s taking up the majority of my time. It can be hard to come home from a long day at work and have the energy or focus to styling wigs, making costumes, and doing other things. Actually you can buy costumes too but sometimes, costumes don’t quite fit right just out of the box and you need to fix it. But, I enjoy what I do. Cosplay is my work too, I have been invited as a guest star, influencer and performer in many conventions also invited me as judge in cosplay competitions. So I try to balance my full time job and my part time job as a cosplayer with better time management.

What Is The Cosplay Community Like?

The cosplay community is fun, it’s a place where you can share your favorite anime, game, manga, or cosplay tips. It is a way to find new friends who have the same interests with you.

But like any other community, you also find many different people in there. You can’t force them to instantly like you, once again, there are people who will dislike you no matter what you are doing. But don’t worry, there are a bunch of kind people too.

So, just enjoy the community, enjoy the cosplay, and have fun.

4 Things People Should Know More About Cosplay

Cosplay is never consent. Always ask first to hug or pose with someone, and never touch them without their permission. Every cosplayer puts time and effort into their work. Never pick up or handle their props without their permission

Always ask permission before taking photos or videos of other cosplayers. Most might not mind it, but everyone wants to know first if they’re on camera.

If you’re cosplaying, remember that you’re representing a character loved and looked up to by fans. Keep it classy, and don’t do or say anything that might tarnish their image of that character.

And I wish everyone can freely cosplay without worry about society judgement. I wish people don’t think of cosplay as weird, silly, childish, etc.

  • Tokyo Based Singer Songwriter Syrena Quills

Tokyo Based Singer Songwriter Syrena Quills

My name is Sarina, but I go as Syrena (pronounced the same) online! I’m Lebanese-Japanese and I live in Tokyo.

What inspired you to be a singer songwriter?

My whole family is made of performers, my mothers a dancer and my father a singer. I guess growing up around the industry it really opened my eyes to this burning passion for performance I had!

Which is a memorable performance you have done before that you enjoyed every minute of it?

My first professional musical! I was 12 and terrified during my audition, and convinced I didn’t get it but three weeks later I was told that I had gotten the lead role. The rehearsals were gruelling but on opening night… the curtains lifted, the lights hit my face and the music started. It was amazing!! I shared the role so I performed opening night, a Saturday matinee and then closing night. We got standing ovations every time!!! I look back on those days and cry sometimes…

How many characters have you estimated to have cosplayed and do you have any favorites?

I haven’t cosplayed all that much in all honesty. I’ve done two characters from Love Live (school idol project), I did a cosplay of a vampire named Krul Tepes from Seraph of the end. And then two versions of Hatsune Miku! My favourite is probably Hatsune Miku!

What are 3 fun things you like to do in the city you live in?

I love love love love love cafe culture here!! So one of my favourite things to do is just to go cafe crawling, looking for cute and hidden cafes and enjoying a nice cup of house blend coffee. Sometimes with a friend, sometimes alone. I also love aimlessly walking around, you find incredibly interesting things when you aren’t actually looking, so I do that a lot when I go on street shoots. And lastly, I’d say I enjoy karaoke with friends!

Which movie or TV show did you watch recently and do you recommend it?

I’ve been in a slump recently so I’ve been rewatching some anime. I recently rewatched Made In Abyss which I think is fantastic! A tad dark so be careful. And then I’m also watching the Great British Baking Show! It’s very relaxing but don’t watch it when you’re hungry!

Is there any food or drink you can’t live without?

I’m pretty health conscious so I’d say my favourite food are kind of boring, but I am absolutely addicted to caffeine!! Without my daily three coffees I cannot survive haha.

What is a lame attempt a guy has tried to know you before?

Oh god… there’s so many…. I don’t remember most of them because they aren’t quite worth remembering. In all honesty? The worst ones are when people just straight up say “hey are you waiting for someone? Are you single? Want to grab a drink?”, when I’m just walking or standing someplace.

It happens really often and I guess I find the approach dull and unoriginal. If you had a really hilarious pick up line that was obviously a joke, or an insightful question, a nice compliment, that already makes a huge difference.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Syrena. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

I think in this day, the word “Sexy” is widely appropriated to mean “sexual.” But something can be sexy without being inherently sexual! So to me I find independence, mental and emotional maturity, intellect and a will to learn incredibly sexy. When someone shows me that they have their life together or are actively working to better themselves, that shows a lot of strength of heart and that’s very much sexy.

  • Photographer, Model & Cosplayer Lesya Ivanova

Photographer, Model & Cosplayer Lesya Ivanova

Hi all! I have lived all my life in Russia. My life is directly connected with cosplay, art and photography. I’m 24 years old.

What do you love about cosplaying?

I’ve been working on cosplay for almost five years, but I’m gaining an audience only now. I used to be very shy about taking pictures, so I took home photos of my images. Several times I took the prize at festivals thanks to my costumes and performances. I think cosplay is a great hobby to express yourself as an artist, as well as to learn how to make ALL out of nothing.

Which is your most fun or unforgettable cosplay experience so far?

That’s a pretty interesting question. But I don’t remember anything to share with you. I’ve had everything that a lot of people have. For example, 30 minutes before the performance, a friend of mine accidentally broke my gun. One day I agreed with my friends on cosplay, but they did not come and I had to perform alone, in the end I was ranked 3rd in the category “Anime Cosplay”. Yes, I did it! I made up my fashion show right on stage.

Do you have any other hobbies or interests?

Yes! At first it may seem like cosplay takes up all my time, but no. I love to travel, one year, I was able to visit about 10 new countries, it was a wonderful time.

I also do help for animal shelters. About once a month, I visit places to help homeless animals. I’ve been doing equestrian sports for about two years, but after I moved to another city, I gave it up. I’d love to go back, but I don’t have enough time.

Despite the fact that I am a model myself, I also do photography. I’m a photographer with 10 years of experience. Sometimes I come to festivals in cosplay, but I take pictures of other cosplayers. My work often gets to them on the main page, everyone likes my work. I’m very happy about that. But most of all I like to shoot nature. Because it’s a great place for me. Lakes, forests, seas, mountains, flowers – it’s amazing. I think I’m the same dreamer.

By the way, I’m also a crazy gamer. I love spending time in games. I play better than my friends and always rank high.

If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?

I have always been interested in psychology, biology and astronomy. Basically, it’s always about science. What is it made of? What does this have to do with this? And why does that work? I may be a humanitarian, but technology issues affect me too.

For me, this is a big topic of discussion, I can talk about it for hours. If you want to talk to me, just start talking about space.

Is there any superstition you believe in?

No, I’m not a superstitious person. But sometimes I feel discomfort when someone’s rules are broken. Like if I dropped salt or something.

Overall, I think it’s all about mental sensations. We can always feel everything out there inside. I think everyone has their own aura and soul. Because you can feel it.

I don’t believe in God, but I believe in the point where it all began. God can be not only a man, but also something more than that. Atoms, stars and so on.

    Which flavor best describes you?

Freshly baked bread. Why? I don’t know. I’m so soft and cozy. People always reach out to me and feel at peace beside me. That’s what they say to me. I always hear from friends “I never believe you could offend anyone,” “You’re the kindest person” etc.

What is a funny or lame attempt a guy has tried to get to know you?

Hmm… It’s hard for me to remember anything. Usually I always respond to adequate communication with adequate people. And strange people don’t write to me. Just the other day I was asked to throw off all paid photos for free, because the person loves my work and he has no money. I was willing to throw him a little bit, but I put too much effort into my work to give them away just as if they were worthless to me.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Lesya. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

For me, sexuality is a pretty vulgar word. If you are engaged in shooting erotic content, you need to present it beautifully and cutely.

No debauchery or cruelty. Photos must carry aesthetics and satisfaction. I don’t like too hot content, just do what is beautiful for you.

  • Russian Cosplayer & Gamer Girl Caidu

Russian Cosplayer & Gamer Girl Caidu

Hello, SimplySxy.  I’ll tell you about myself especially for you.  I am a cosplayer from Russia, I also do airsoft, draw art, play computer games and love cooking.

Now my most successful cosplay is Raphtalia, which my subscribers love so much, but I still have a lot of cosplay, which also turned out to be of high quality. In particular, I like to do cosplay on animal-girls.  My audience is growing very slowly, but I hope that I will soon be able to attract more attention to my work.

I hope my poor knowledge of English does not spoil anything.

How long have you been cosplaying and why did you start?

I have been doing cosplay since I was 14, and I started with the image of Chelsea from the anime “Akame ga Kill”

Then, I did not have Instagram and other social networks, because I did it only for cosplay festivals and myself, but now the priorities have changed, and I like to upload photos and conduct photo sessions.

What do you love about cosplay?

In cosplay, I like the very “idea” of transforming into another person.  That is, now you are an ordinary person, and someone’s favorite character is already at the festival or photographs.  At festivals, I feel like a star, because people don’t stop taking pictures with me, but it’s worth taking it off, and I’m already merging with the crowd, and it’s great.

If you could have a superpower, what will it be?

If I could have a super power, it would be the ability to teleport, since so much can be done with this, it’s convenient and useful.  For example, I could teleport for cosplay cloth to the store, pick it up and teleport home again.

Do you believe in any superstition?

I do not particularly believe in superstition, but watch for hints of fate.  Sometimes it tells you a lot more than any superstition or person.

Have you been in an embarrassing situation that is funny now when looking back?

If I recall, the only example of such a predicament is the moment when I crashed into a tree on a bicycle, woke up feeling pain and could not get up, but when my friend ran up, I just got up and went, “My leg is simply not broken? Probably it seemed.”

It was funny but painful.  The next day was a cosplay festival, and the whole leg was covered with bruises and a wound.  It can even be seen in photographs from that festival.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?

The party-goer of me is bad, I love the home environment, and have fun only at festivals, airsoft or study.  Well, I’m a good girl, hahah.  So I rate it at 1.

What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

If I recall, a guy’s most hasty attempt to recognize me was the moment when a little boy wrote to me and tried to flirt with me, and since he was only a child, he didn’t do very well, but it was funny. He asked about cosplay, bragged about something, and then started writing something vulgar.  Well, man, you’re 12 years old, isn’t it too early for that?  It was funny.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Caidu. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

For me, the word “sexual” defines what a person says, how he speaks, and how much his words make sense.

If you look at it from the other side, the cute outfits (for example, stockings with cute lingerie) and beautiful poses come to mind, and if you think about male sexuality, this is definitely masculinity, and behavior.

  • New Jersey Cosplayer Kenji Sensei

    New Jersey Cosplayer Kenji Sensei

Hi! My name is Kenji Shimada, but most people know me as Kenji Sensei! I’m from New Jersey and I’m a 22 year old Filipino cosplayer, as well as a full time student studying broadcast production.

    What inspired you to cosplay?

So I wanted to start cosplaying more often after I cosplayed as Spider-Man at Anime Expo 2018. The reactions to my costume I got from people who shared my love for the character felt amazing and I had great interactions with people at that convention. I also noticed that other cosplayers at the convention seemed to be having so much fun dressing up as their favorite characters with their friends and having the time of their lives and I wanted to do that too.

Which cosplayer character costume has been most challenging or difficult for you to create and pull off?

I wanna say my cosplay of 2B from Nier Automata. I didn’t make this particular cosplay myself, but it was definitely more revealing than any cosplay I had done before, particularly in the lower body area. I didn’t think I could pull it off at first, but I ended up really liking how I looked in that cosplay and it’s one of my favorite cosplays I’ve ever worn. Plus, I felt sexy as HELL in it.

What should someone never or not say to a cosplayer?

Oh god, I could probably write an entire article about this but the one thing I can think of off the top of my head is to never tell a cosplayer that their cosplay is better than another cosplayer’s cosplay. It may seem like a compliment towards them, but I’m sure that they don’t want their cosplay uplifted by tearing someone else’s down.

Do you have any other hobbies or interests?

I have a lot of interests, but mainly video games, anime, and basketball! I’ve been playing video games for as long as I can remember. I remember the Gameboy Color being one of my first consoles and Pokemon Red was one of my first games! I love anime and some of my favorites include Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, Naruto, and Hajime no Ippo, just to name a few! Lastly, I’m a HUGE Los Angeles Lakers fan and Kobe Bryant is my favorite basketball player of all time.

If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?

If I could change one thing about the world, it would be the way people of color, specifically black people, are treated. It’s 2020 and racism is still alive and well. We’ve witnessed it even more so in the news as of late and unfortunately, it’s rampant in the cosplay community. Things need to change.

Is there any superstition you believe in?

I say “knock on wood” whenever I make a bold claim or statement because I have this weird fear that if I say something super confidently, it’ll backfire and the opposite outcome will occur.

What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you while you were cosplaying?

Oh boy, thankfully all of my strange/funny encounters with guys haven’t been in person but in Instagram DMs. The funniest one that comes to mind is when this guy liked some of my pictures where I was cosplaying a female character and he messaged me “hiiii.” Then I guess before I got a chance to respond he scrolled further down my profile and messaged me again and said, “wait r u a boy or a girl?

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Kenji. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Growing up, I was overweight and I never had any confidence about my body. I started working out, I lost a lot of weight, and I looked good, but I still didn’t feel sexy. It wasn’t until I started coaching myself to be more confident that I actually felt sexy. I don’t think the definition of sexy necessarily has to do with an individual’s looks, rather it has to do with the way one carries themselves.

  • Indonesian Cosplayer, Model & Influencer, Lynn

Indonesian Cosplayer, Model & Influencer, Lynn

Hi, my name is Evelyn, but I’m recognised as Lynn by people. I am originally from Indonesia. I have a lot of work, including cosplayer, model, brand ambassador to Team E-Sports, influencer as well. I love every work I do. Yes, managing time is hard, but I enjoy it.

What do you love about being a cosplayer?

I can be another, separate character from my true self. I can learn how to makeup, use cute costumes, and imagine to be that character is such a fun story! You can bring the character alive, particularly! When you see smiles from fans or kids, to connect with people I’ve never met as that character was so lovely.

Is there a common misconception about cosplayers you still hear of?

I heard from my cosplayer friends that people still think that cosplayer is the same with being a clown, so they can underpat us as much as they want.

Or sometimes, older people will see us cosplayers as freaks, sadly. But gladly, that never happened to me. I hope people will have more respect for cosplayers.

If you could be a cartoon character for real, who will you choose to be?

I want to be Rapunzel! She was my role model and inspiration. I mean, every little girl surely had a dream to be a princess, right? She’s bright, kind, curious, and brave!

Where do you love to shop from?

I love online shopping! For cosplay stuff, I have a friend who usually makes her own costumes so I just order through her. But for daily stuff, I shop from online shopping apps like Shopee, Tokopedia or Lazada.

What type of music are you into?

I am more like a Pop-girl! Any song that is fun to hear, actually…

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?

I’m kinda shy, I usually only hang out with close friends. But I can be crazy in front of them. Haha.. So, 2 for partying with strangers, 10 for partying with my best friends!!

What is a funny or awkward attempt a guy has tried to know you?

Maybe it will be funny because of my easy-going personality. But I’m kinda slow, I often catch the wrong signals…..

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Evelyn. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Sexy is not only seen from appearance, but also from the thought and attractiveness of a person. Nowadays, smart is the new sexy. So be smart, be brave, be confident, and most of all, love yourself .

  • Philippines Cosplayer Miho 美保

    Philippines Cosplayer Miho 美保

Cosplay gives me happiness and I can’t explain every time I give life to the character that I like. I also love giving happiness to the people who admire the characters I cosplayed.

I’m able to express my feelings, show case my creativity, and be passionate about all of it.

Which characters have you enjoyed cosplaying most?

I enjoyed every character that I’ve cosplayed especially when the character relates to my attitude and demonstrates some kind moral lessons.

How much effort and time does it take for you to prepare for a character typically?

I am quite meticulous about my cosplay and I’ve always tried to achieve the best cosplay for the character. Sometimes it takes me six months or more to prepare and the most rushed cosplay will take one month.

If you could have a superpower, what will you choose to have?

I think I would like to have the superpower of being able to cure any illness/disease. Especially in the current situation, everyone is battling the novel coronavirus and still doing their best to create a vaccine to stop this pandemic.

Do you have any other hobbies?

Aside from cosplay, my hobbies are baking, archery, playing online games, taking care of stray cats, drawing, watching anime and flower gardening.

These are the things that make me happy and relaxed when I’m alone.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?

I guess around 7, I like to party only with close friends and hang out with them once in awhile.

What is a lame or awkward attempt a guy has tried to know you?

I received a message on Facebook from a random guy saying that he was waiting outside my house and that he brought gifts for me. I felt awkward and surprised that he knew where I lived. I saw him waiting outside and I immediately called my friend to talk to him. Everything was okay and the guy left.

Please don’t try anything like this, it’s not cool.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Miho. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Sexy for me is self care and being confident and never caring about what other people think about you because only you can understand who you are and what makes you happy. So just keep going and love yourself.
