    I love mixing it up my fashion style all the time, but I do prefer the soft girl look which is made up of mini-dresses, skater skirts, and girly accessories like pastel hair clips. Besides that, I like dressing down simple as well, such as oversized t-shirts and comfy sweaters.

    Brand names don’t matter too much to me because I love a good sale and thrift shopping, but you can never go wrong with a nice handbag. I’m usually inspired by the latest trends on social media or by icons such as Ariana Grande and Madison Beer.

    Do you have any quotes or mottos you like to use in life?

    “I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them.”

    Yes, this is from The Office. I think it’s important to appreciate the good in the “now” of things instead of looking for the negatives to complain about. I really try to live life in the most positive, carefree attitude I can.

    Is there something in life you can’t get enough of?

    The time I have left with my best friend. She’s a 12 year old Dachshund and it doesn’t matter how much time out of the day I spend playing with her, it’s just not enough.

    Which 3 things do you enjoy doing most in the city you live in?

    Hitting the malls with my girl friends is one of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy discovering small bakeries and cafes to satisfy my sweet tooth. At night, hitting the popular bars and clubs are a must, but that’s on hold right now for the pandemic. I can’t wait to return to the nightlife scene.

    If you could change or improve one thing about the world, what will it be?

    A big problem I want to change is discrimination. We are the same people at the end of the day regardless of how we look on the outside, who we’re attracted to, and how we identify ourselves. Having respect for one another is a large step towards a greater future..

    Would you rather invent a new gadget or discover a new species?

    A new gadget, of course! I would patent that gadget, collect my check, then leave. Adios!

    Does chivalry still exist today?

    I hear a lot of arguments about this between my friends. Yes, it does exist, but you can’t expect it from every man. It’s similar to how men can’t expect every girl he meets to be genuinely sweet. When chivalry is found, it is absolutely appreciated.

    Sexy to me is being confident and bold. Sexy is being able to walk into a room, knowing what is yours, and being able to take it. Sexy is the eye contact you give when heading in their direction. Sexy doesn’t mean you have to show off your skin, it’s your attitude.

    Do you have any hobbies or interests?

    My hobbies are cooking, baking and swimming. I’ve always love to bake and cook, it makes me feel unique as it is made by me and the efforts I’ve put in. As for swimming, I prefer swimming in the morning. I feel like swimming is a getaway for me and it could take my thoughts for a while. There’s a saying, “chilling by the pool”!

    I am interested in different kinds of food and cafes, they have different tastes and the design of the café itself is always unique, that is why I always go café-hopping. Also, it is because I love eating a lot.

    What inspires your fashion style?

    I would say that I mostly match my fashion styles with the place I’m visiting. Sometimes I go onto Pinterest to see how others match their outfits. It helps on giving the idea!

    Celebrities and influencers also inspire me. I’ve found the suitable fashion style for myself as I always try new fashion styles on myself to know more about myself.

    Which is the best compliment you have received?

    The best compliment I’ve received is, you are doing you and you have your own personality. I feel proud of myself when receiving compliments like these, it makes me feel like I am being responsible to my own.

    How will you describe a typical day like for yourself?

    Netflix and chill by myself with a hot cup of milk and a few snacks along. Spending some me-time and learning new recipes for myself to taste.

    Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?

    I’ve always wanted to become a florist, and to do the course for becoming a florist. To me, a florist does not only arrange flowers but it shows personality, knowledge and a career that can expand.

    Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?

    It was when my friends and I were discussing about a person that was hitting on me, who was actually sitting just one table behind us.

    What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    Trying to talk to me like he knows me and coming up with lame pick-up lines.

    I define “sexy” not from how less a person wears, but the personality they empower. Not how they do their “sexy” make up, how sexy an outfit is, or whatever that is used on a person to show “sexiness”.

    It is the character and personality, I would define as “sexy”. The confident and self-love is “sexy”.

    How long have you been modelling and what do you enjoy about being a model?

    I’ve been modelling since I was 14 years old, I stopped when I turned 21 and this year I am back modelling again, unfortunately, the pandemic happened. So I think it’s about 10 years or more now.

    I love modelling because I feel so different and confident once I’m in front of the camera, with all the makeup, hair and outfits. The fact that I can be myself in front of the camera too or imagine that I’m a different person without any limitations keeps me loving and coming back for more. The funny thing is I’m shy when I’m not in front of the camera but when I’m modelling, I feel confident and beautiful.

    Do you have any favourite genres of modelling you prefer?

    Hmm,  I will accept any modelling jobs as much as I can and also if I know I can do it, I try to avoid modelling jobs that are “too sexy”

    Is there any food or drink you can’t live without?

    OHH! I love M&M’s peanut. I consume two big bags of it for a week (sharing size) and when I travel too, I should have it inside my bag.

    If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?

    Gosh, I feel like there are so many things that I want to change about the world. One of the biggest things for me is taking care of the planet. Trying to stop using finite resources. Moving to sustainable products that will allow future generations to enjoy the planet.

    I wanna have equal rights for every person in the world no matter what nationality, race, religion, sexuality, gender, colour, etc.  I’ll make sure that every child has the opportunity to change to who they wanna be.

    Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?

    Yes.

    So many things haha, one that always comes to my mind is when I first tried drinking beer and I got drunk so bad that I puked inside my purse with all my stuff inside, was so embarrassed and I went out of the club carrying that purse of mine with my errr vomit inside.

    Would you rather be able to taste colours or see smells?

    Taste colours, I think they are gonna taste good.

    What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    Pick up lines, I hate it too much, sometimes it’s funny but doing it too much is annoying.

    I love looking for styles and colour palettes that are in trend for the season and I get inspired seeing content from amazing bloggers and YouTubers I admire.  I often shop at boutiques and consignment stores.

    Sometimes, I’ll go thrifting at Plato’s Closet to hunt for some amazing pieces that are versatile and affordable! A few of my favourite stores are The Latest Scoop, Hollywood Boutique, Aritzia, and Oak + Fort.

    Do you have a lifestyle or fashion hack that you can’t live without?

    One of my favourite fashion hacks is styling basic tops and dresses in different ways where you can dress it up or down. It also helps if you are on a budget. The best part is reusing items from your closet to pull the entire look together.

    You can pair a versatile sweater, jacket or cardigan over a basic dress for a chic look. You can also tie a basic shirt in the front or side and pair it with jeans, trousers or pants.

    Which 3 things do you enjoy doing most in the city you live in?

    I love going on adventures and finding new places to hike and explore. I enjoy shopping along Robson Street and searching for scenic views in the city.

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a foodie are you?

    I am totally a big foodie! Anyone who knows me knows that I love to snack and munch a lot. I love trying new pastries and different food but pasta has to be one of my favourite dishes! I would say on a scale of 1-10, it would be an 8!

    If you can have a super power, what will it be?

    If I were to have any super power, it would be to fly! Travelling the world is one of the things on my bucket list so I think  it would be amazing to visit different cities and countries around the world.

    What kind of music are you into and do you have any favorite artists?

    I have been listening to a lot of  contemporary R&B and Hip Hop lately. Some of my favourite artists are Smino, Frank Ocean, Joji, Mereba, Lil Tecca, and JID.

    What is a cringey or funny attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    I have been getting weird DM’s on my Instagram from random sugar daddy’s and I just find it hilarious and super cringey reading the messages.

    My name’s Emily and I’m a model and full-time biomedical science student.

    What inspires your fashion style and where do you love to shop from?

    I wouldn’t say I stick to one specific style. My style is broad, and it ranges from various phases of my life. For example, I love dressing in a grungy, gothic style sometimes as it reflects my 2015 emo phase.

    Yet, sometimes, I like a softer, pinker style that reflects the time in my life I spent cosplaying and watching anime (I still watch anime from time to time). I like to get my clothes second hand as I don’t like feeding so much into the fast fashion industry and I find that you can find the most individual clothing pieces that no one else has if you shop second hand.

    Do you follow a regular workout or beauty regime?

    I can’t say I have any sort of workout routine, although I probably should, but I do follow a simple skincare regime. Nothing too ridiculous though as I live a relatively busy lifestyle and I doubt I could keep up with an intricate skin care routine.

    How is a typical day like for you?

    I’m a student studying a biomedical science degree currently and, since I’m on my placement year now, I work a lot. I typically start my day off with a coffee and head into work in the laboratory for my typical shift.

    Once home, I like to wind down and burn some scented wax and just chill out in the evenings with a movie and maybe some snacks.

    What have you always wanted to do or learn but have yet to find the time for it?

    I’ve always wanted to get better at roller skating. I’ve done it for around 10 years on and off and even used to work at a roller rink. Although, I’ve never had the time to learn tricks or anything other than how to go fast. I still keep my roller skates in my car though… just incase the situation calls for roller skates.

    Have you been in an embarrassing situation before that is funny now when looking back?

    There was a time at Starbucks when the woman serving asked me if my name was spelt Emily with a ‘y’ or Emilie with an ‘ie’ and I jokingly said, ‘the right way with a ‘y’’. As I got my coffee, I looked at her name tag and it was Bethanie with an ‘ie’…. I felt terrible…

    Would you rather be able to play every musical instrument or master every type of sport?

    I would love to be able to play every type of musical instrument as I’ve never really been able to play anything other than the stereotypical wonder wall on guitar. I own three guitars but can’t play any of them.

    I also love music and spent quite a few teenage years playing roles in musicals and shows but could never do anything more than sing.

    What turns you off on a date?

    I haven’t been on a date in quite a while, but I’d have to say general manners. If, for example, I were to be taken to a restaurant and the person I was with was rude to staff, it’d be over really quick.

    Because I live in the south of France, the weather is very sunny. It is almost never cold and rainy. I enjoy going for walks around the vineyards or along the sea side, to take pictures and hang around with my friends. 

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of an adventurer are you?

    I think on a scale, I will be an 8 out of 10! I really enjoy traveling, discovering new landscapes, new animals or even insects! But I also like to find myself at home after a long adventure! 

    If you could time travel, where will you like to travel to?

    Right now, if I could go anywhere, I would choose to go to the Maldives. Island’s landscapes are my favourite. During this complicated period, all I want is a relaxing and warm holiday on the seashore. 

    Would you rather have super sensitive taste or super sensitive hearing?

    Without hesitation, I want to have a super sensitive taste. I can be very picky with food.

    I never found a guy having the same expectations as me.

    Which is a memorable photoshoot or acting experience you have had before?

    One of my most memorable experience through modeling/influencing was traveling to Antigua in the Caribbean for a week and shooting for a beautiful resort.

    I enjoy working out, journaling, discovering new restaurants, dancing, and hanging out with my Golden Retriever. 

    If you could travel back in time, is there something you will like to experience or change?

    If I could go back in time I would push myself out of my comfort zone sooner. I missed a lot of opportunities simply because I was nervous or didn’t think I was good enough.

    I love to go to the beach, visit my family, and take my dog on nature hikes.

    My most proud photoshoot I would say would be a GORGEOUS set I produced with a photographer by the name of Jay Sinnaperumal (IG@jayscreativeimage) and MUA Iqra (IG@_glam_by_iqra).

    Everything just popped so flawlessly! It was later published into Ignite Magazine as well!

    Do you have any other hobbies or interests?

    I’m actually an equestrian of 16 years and own my own horse! He is a Westphalian x Thoroughbred cross who specializes in Hunter/Jumper! It’s been a love of mine since I was so little!

    Is there anything in this world which you wish you had more of?

    You could never go wrong with money but if I’m completely honest, I would want land/specialists to help battered and abused people as well as addicts. Sadly, those two topics go hand in hand a lot of the time and it’s a very important subject for myself. I want to make the world a better place in a way I know how. 

    What turns you off on a date?

    Someone that is cocky, loud, talks over me. Just genuinely anyone that cannot take the time for anyone but themselves. Big turn off. Nope from me.

    What inspires your fashion style and where do you love to shop from?

    My go-to fashion style is simple and chic but still fashionable. For example, plain top plus jeans/shorts; one-piece dress plus boots……However, I do love cardigans blazers/trendy coats and bling bling stuff too. So it’s kinda switching with my moods.     That’s me, a food lover!!:) Recalling back, I used to eat like a horse, loaded with an Asian big bowl of soup (Yes, I love soup) and rice plate of my mom’s Chinese dishes. My favourite food definitely goes to cheese cake or anything with CHEESEE~~

    What hobbies or interests are you into?

    Oh I love reading inspiring self-help books and doing workouts/sports like swimming etc. Would like to learn fencing and drumming and do extreme activities like skydiving in the future.

    Do you believe in any superstition?

    Nope, I’m kinda free thinker and open-minded but still believe there is a God/spiritual energy/power greater than us.

    Have you been in an embarrassing situation that is funny now when looking back?

    Oh God! Seriously I tried to think and recall so hard for this question as I barely can remember any. Haha. Probably there was a time when I was seven years old and playing around with other kids on the swings of my aunt’s house.  It was her wedding day so I was wearing a pretty and cute yellow chiffon dress.

    But the funny thing then happened: I fell and tripped myself in mud after running on the grass field. And……my dress became a “chocolate” dress! LOL and my mom ended up bringing me home to give me a wash. What an embarrassment!

    If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?

    All the languages in the world. It would be so cool to be able to communicate freely with everybody without any language barriers or difficulties.

    What do you not get about guys?

    Not meant to offend and just my personal taste, but I don’t get when guys keep their scruffy beards, as I prefer CLEAN shaven guys!! XP

    What does it mean to be a brat?

    A submissive who’s a brat loves to push their dom’s buttons by breaking the rules. But it’s not about being blatantly disobedient – it’s more about being mischievous. Your dom is called a brat-tamer, and the brat-tamer’s role is to punish the brat for bad behavior, usually with some impact play, prolonged edging, or restraints.
