SimplySxy: Hi Tilly, thanks for taking your time to answer our questions! Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from.

Tilly: Thank you for having me! I grew up in south west Ireland in county Limerick. Straight after university (I did a BA in Applied Languages), I went on a working vacation to New York and fell in love with America and its people. At the same time, I played piano in a bar in Times Square but I fell into another form of entertainment shortly thereafter when my partner and I moved to Virginia.

SimplySxy: How did your career in modelling begin?

Tilly: It was after a chance encounter with a very talented photographer named Ryan Kerns that my career in modeling began. After our initial shoot, he gave me pointers and showed me the pictures, so I could learn from my own moves what worked and didn’t work for my body and face. Then, he introduced me to Pepper Kester, who took me under her wing, basically! It was an exciting, whirlwind start to the best career I could imagine. I am forever indebted to those two.

SimplySxy: Which genre of modelling do you enjoy most?

Tilly: My favorite genre of modeling is adult modeling. Aside from the larger pay cheque, it is wonderfully whimsical. We always joke on set that the plot doesn’t matter, so ad lib as much as you like and if the words you speak sound totally corny (and sometimes pun-laden), even better! It’s fantasy. None of the viewers should be criticizing the plot (or lack thereof) as they are pleasuring themselves, realistically. I’, also impressed by the way a scene partner and I will cooperate during scenes in a way that is so slick, it’s not noticed by viewers. I’ve helped models out of skinny jeans, held their hair to the side as they go down on me (so their face is seen)..I’ve even gently removed off a model’s false eyelashes once, since they were falling off on both sides. They are all very deliberate moves but if you do them in a sexy way (like with the jeans) or hide them altogether (as in the eyelashes) it goes unnoticed.

SimplySxy: How was the experience shooting for Playboy like?

Tilly: Shooting for Playboy was a really, really fun experience. The location was really beautiful and laid back. It was a villa in the country outside of LA with a rustic, open plan design and a lovely garden. Holly Randall was a joy to work with and I loved watching her and my makeup artist Ricardo Ferrise doing their thing. I had a great crew behind me that day.

SimplySxy: The naughtiest thing you have done is?

Tilly: Had sex on a rooftop of an apartment block in Brooklyn, New York. The skyline at sunrise was so romantic.

SimplySxy: Has there been an embarrassing moment in your life that actually seems funny now?

Tilly: My brother once came across a video that was definitely not for his eyes, as he was flicking through pictures on my laptop. I was there with him and my heart stopped but he kept moving and eventually, I was able to laugh at it.

SimplySxy: What are the types of lingerie you simply can’t do without in your wardrobe?

Tilly: When it comes to lingerie, I love silk and lace…luxurious materials. I have a bra and panty set by Agent Provocateur that I’m quite attached to. I also like teddies, especially for shoots.

Iridescence, love, glamor – ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival

Iridescence, love, glamor – ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival (ShPFF) launched its opening on Sunday 14th June at one of the city’s most historic theatres, The Pearl. Organized entirely by volunteers, ShanghaiPRIDE is able to bring a part of its cultural traditions to a whole new level in its 7^th year with the launch of ShPFF. With an immensely diverse audience crowd from within and outside of China and the attendance of industry professionals, the opening night was a huge success.

Cheng Peipei, the renowned mainland-born Hong Kong actress, also made her way back to her hometown in support of the first public screening of her work Lilting in China. The spotlight was shared by short film A Straight Journey: Days and Nights in Their Kingdom, winner of Best Film in the ShPFF 2015 short film competition. The directors were in attendance, Beijing duo masamojo.

A Straight Journey: Days and Nights in Their Kingdom represents the strongest voice in this year’s short film competition of ShPFF and takes home two major awards: Best Film Award and Queer Vision Award. It is ShPFF’s mission as well as challenge to support and provide a platform for emerging Chinese filmmakers in queer cinema worldwide. As part of that commitment, ShPFF will send masamojo’s film to Iris Prize (UK) for a chance to win £30,000 in production funds.

The night also announced a complete list of award winning short movies, all of which will be screened free to the public throughout the week at different venues of the city.

During the screening of Lilting, Cheng Peipei sat at the balcony as the audience below dived into the melancholy of her character in the film. The crowd broke into waves of applause as Peipei walked up to the stage afterwards for a Q&A. When asked about the theme of the work, Cheng Peipei expressed that the Lilting had transcend the mere discussion of sexuality and self-identity, but rather touched the core of all barriers among people, which is a lack of communication and the refusal to accept love. The response largely resonated with ShPRIDE’s theme for the year: Love is Our Future.

The Opening Party kicked off shortly after the Q&A, featuring a staple of Shanghai party scene, Mau Mau. Electro house beats filled the vintage theatre to celebrate the opening of a whole week of queer cinematic delights.

SimplySxy: Hi Paige, thanks for taking the time to answer our questions on SimplySxy. Please share with us a little about yourself to our readers?

Paige: I grew up in a small town in Alberta Canada, I am now a mother to a 3 year old boy, still living in Canada. I spent a few years living in Idaho and Utah. I love animals, & nature. I love to cook for my family and playing the guitar. I enjoy snowboarding in the winters and wakeboarding summers. I started modelling a year ago and have been very passionate about it. Life is a journey, and I cant wait to see whats in store for me.

SimplySxy: Do you have any exciting projects lined up in the coming months where we can see you?

Paige: This upcoming summer, I have a few things to look forward to. Tropic Beauty Finals Canada, Paradise Challenge, a few feature calendars, and I’m building a website here soon.

SimplySxy: How was it like being Playboy Miss Social Miss October 2014?

Paige: It was great! I got the opportunity to meet a lot of cool people in the industry, some who have become good friends already. I hope one day I can become a playmate.

SimplySxy: Is there a quirky habit you have?

Paige: I color coordinate my closet, like a rainbow! It looks prettier and easier to find things.

SimplySxy: What is the naughtiest thing you have done so far?

Paige: The naughtiest thing? Probably when I was moving home to Canada, I got searched at the border and they found my bong. It made me super sad, I loved that bong.

SimplySxy: Your favourite body part?

Paige: My favorite body part is my booty. Even though I’m petite, I think the booty has some twerking capability. This one time in the Bahamas at Senior Frogs, I won a booty shaking contest. Dance off anyone?!

SimplySxy: Which do you prefer, lingerie or bikini? Or neither?

Paige: I’m obsessed with bikinis, I have a huge swimsuit collection. Buy me a designer bikini and you’ll be my favorite forever.

Pauline Tan, the lovely actress from Malaysia

Malaysian actress Pauline Tan is going places, with a 2014 Golden Awards nomination for Best Newcomer and finishing 1st runner-up in the 2015 Miss Universe Malaysia, fans will be able to catch her in the upcoming drama Runaway Housewives premiering in July on ntv7. Learn her beauty tips to looking so amazing and the craziest thing she has ever done as we ask Pauline a few questions on SimplySxy.

SimplySxy: Hi Pauline, thanks for taking your time to answer our questions on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Pauline: I’m from a small town called Klang. Grew up performing on stages, which made me develop a huge passion for performing. I then went on to further my studies in National Taiwan University, majoring English Literature, and spent 1 year in Korea as an exchange student. (Yes, I speak a little Korean) In short, I would say I’m a simple girl with big dreams.

SimplySxy: Do you have any exciting projects coming up which your fans can look forward to seeing you in?

Pauline: After returning back to Malaysia after I graduated, I’m devoting myself fully into acting. And currently I’m shooting for a few local Chinese dramas, which will be aired on ntv7 around August. Besides that, I will be filming a Chinese Film alongside a Singapore actor, but it will only be showing some time next year! Stay tuned~!!

SimplySxy: You were 1^st Runner Up in the recent Miss Universe Malaysia 2015. How was the whole experience for you the entire time?

Pauline: It has been a very beautiful experience I would say! Getting the chance to know 16 other wonderful ladies, and also the chance to step out of my comfort zone, and push myself to limits that I don’t even know I could exceed. There were times where I felt that the competition was strong and stressful, but I believed that all these challenges helped me excelled as a woman, and made a better person. It will be a memory that I will carry with me for the rest of my life!

SimplySxy: What’s your beauty secret to looking so amazing?

Pauline: Stay positive! When you have a positive mind, it brightens up your soul, which in turn, makes you a beautiful person, inside and out!

SimplySxy: How will you describe your fashion style?

Pauline: I don’t have a specific style in terms of fashion, but I prefer outfits that are comfortable and practical. And I love denim! <3

SimplySxy: Which is the craziest thing you have ever done?

Pauline: It would probably be cycling around Taipei 3am in the morning. I remember I was going through a heartbreak moment, and a few close friends came over to my dorm for a little chat. But we ended up touring Taipei in our worn out 2^nd-hand-bicycles, cycling for almost 5 hours. The next day, all of us had sore butt cheeks.

SimplySxy: Tell us 3 fun facts about yourself which your fans probably do not know.

Pauline:

I enjoy photography! I like taking pictures of beautiful landscapes and the changing of seasons.

I like to go on short vacations, I am the kind of person who needs short breaks in order to function properly.

I am terrified of cockroaches, especially those that fly!

SimplySxy: One thing you can’t do without in your bag daily?

Pauline: My small, portable, digital camera. Just incase I need to snap something or someone beautiful from my daily life.

Pauline: I find those who are brainy sexy! Although looks play quite an important role, but I feel that the way a person carries him/herself is more important!

Myranda: I currently live in Houston, Texas and I am a bartender and a part time model. I love the outdoors and I use it to my advantage to stay in shape, I’m not a fan of gyms.

Myranda: I first began modeling at around 18 years old. I actually never even thought of getting into modeling, but when I became a “Hooters Girl” that all changed. I was even in the 2014 swimsuit calendar.

Myranda:

– I mow my own yard.
– I love to box!!
– I am an avid animal lover!! If I could own/take a car of 10 dogs I would!

Myranda: That might be hard to narrow down but I tend to like to “moon” people, maybe even in public. Is that bad? Lol

SimplySxy: How will you describe your fashion style?

Myranda: I consider myself a fashion chameleon, I’m always mixing it up. One day I might be wearing wedges and a tight dress with my hair down, and the next I might be in biker boots, cut off shorts with my hair thrown up.

Myranda: I’ve heard come terrible pick up lines. The one I get the most is when I’m asked to read them “Miranda rights”, hmm, no, it’s not effective!

Why Do We Need Films Festivals? 我们为什么需要电影节?

When Stanley Kwan came out to his mother at the end of Yang±Yin (1998), he framed it in the context of his own teenage desire for cross-dressing actress Yam Kim-Fai. LGBTQ people have found themselves in big screen queer heroes for over a hundred years, but so too has the cis straight world. Kwan’s brilliant documentary traces a century of Chinese cinema, and finds queer characters and desire in every corner of every decade. “It’s normal,” responds Kwan’s mother. She knows lesbian, gay, bi and trans and queer people. She’s been watching them her whole life on the big screen.

In our inaugural year, ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival is themed around ‘Queer Family.’ Bring your mom. You will find films on marriage and adoption, on parents and teachers, on queer community. Stories
of acceptance into institutions, and of reinterpretations of old traditions. You will also find our short film competitors, exciting new voices who we strive to support. Chinese Queer Cinema has long been underground, but thrives on the support of a family. To our family, at ShanghaiPRIDE, across China and internationally, we are thankful.

There is no shared experience like sitting in the dark room of a cinema. ‘Dark rooms’ hold a very specific meaning in queer male circles. Watching in the darkness, those who gather are not merely an audience,but performers. They reach out and touch, feeling and sharing every fibre of their experience. A cinema should be no different. Touch hearts, share minds. A film festival demands engagement, collaboration and intimacy. This is a festival for our community, for all mothers and queer children. For our queer family.

Levy: Hey! Levy here and I am from Phoenix, Arizona! (USA). I am 22 and you can catch me mostly on stages performing at various Music Festivals such as (Electric Daisy Carnival) worldwide! When I’m not traveling, I am a GoGo dancer at various clubs in Scottsdale.

I tend to model as a side hobby, unless someone sees my potential talent and can take me under their wings to future my modeling career. xoxo

SimplySxy: What do you like most about being a model?

Levy: I really enjoy meeting new people and my favorite, are my adorable supporters! When I’m at an event, it melts my heart when they know about me through social media and become eager to meet me, buy my posters, have me sign it and make a post about how I made their day. Those are the little-big things that makes me wanna pursue modeling even further.

SimplySxy: Can you share with us a funny experience in one of your modelling shows or shoots?

Levy: I remember one time I was at a booth, and I had to come up to the stage and throw out free gifts. We throw it to people who can interact with you the most. I literally asked a guy that if he catches me from the crowd, I’ll give it to him. The coordinators looked at me like that was a bad idea, but I did it anyways and jumped! The crowd caught me! Lol but I was kinda asked to not do it again for future shows unless I signed a liability waiver.. LOL

SimplySxy: You do Go-go dancing, belly dancing and other forms such as hip-hop to name a few. Where does your passion for dancing come from?

Levy: Yes! I do all of those. My passion mostly comes from GoGo dancing. It’s literally all free style and you can do whatever you want in your own form of expression. I get it all from being on stage. My crowd is my energy and I feed off from what they’re giving back whether they are at a club or an event. They are the reason why I love doing what I do.

SimplySxy: What are some sexy dance moves you can share to our female readers who wish to perform for their boyfriend or husband?

Levy: CONFIDENCE . No matter what you do ladies. Don’t ever feel embarrassed or think you can’t be sexy in front of your partner! He will always love you and he loved you the moment he laid eyes on you. So put on those sexy heels or thigh highs and sway your body left and right. Roll your shoulders back and forth…chin up… Let down that beautiful hair…look into his eyes and SMILE.

Levy: My bodacious booty.

SimplySxy: What is the sexiest outfit in your wardrobe and when do you wear it?

Levy: I like to keep it simple and sexy. With it warming up over here, I throw on that front low cut maxi dress with a leg slit on the side and I’m good to go.

SimplySxy: Are you the type who will make the first move or wait for the guy to do so?

Levy: I’m an Aries. I seem to be aggressive and well, aggressive.. LOL. I’ll make eye contact and signal interest. If he has not done anything yet.. I’ll decide if it’s worth messing around to see if he will break. But if I’m totally into him. I’m usually the one that makes the first move.

Levy: As I mentioned above. CONFIDENCE. There’s a difference between being cocky and full of yourself compared to being confident and happy with yourself. Sexy can be defined in many ways. Kryz: Paris. It’s real, mean, chic, forgiving and filled with so much love.

SimplySxy: What is one fantastic reason for us to visit Cebu other than you being there?

Kryz: You’re literally minutes away from the beach, city and mountains no matter where you are. It’s an amazing source of inspiration.

SimplySxy: Can you share with us 3 fun facts about yourself?

Kryz: I’m Pescatarian, I’m a contemporary dancer, and I am terrified of the rain! (Flooding trauma years back!)

SimplySxy: What is the craziest thing you have ever done?

Kryz: Hitch a ride with a complete stranger to get to the train for Paris in time. The guy turns out to be an extreme sports motorcyclist and that ride was definitely EXTREME. I kept screaming and holding on for dear life that I accidentally placed my boot on the exhaust of the motorcycle, and it ended up burning. Crazy.

Cee: Hi guys thanks for having me… gosh where do I start … guess the beginning? I am 24 turning 25 (feel so old) I started modelling when I was 9. I love my extreme sports and drawing. I learned to knit once but gave up (haha). I love to express myself through the camera. As for distressing love to just shoot out in the shooting range.

SimplySxy: You have modelled for many top international magazines and taken part in various competitions, doing very well in those you have entered. What has been your career highlight(s) so far?

Cee: That is a good question…. Gosh I suppose it has to be joining the Moll Magazine family and the Miss COED family. Love these guys to bits and in addition the Chulo Magazine family. OOOO and of course my FHM family. I loved my issue and shots we did for it 😛

Cee: Um… I am a nerd at heart! I love my games and I use to be a tomboy :O

SimplySxy: You have a love for extreme sports and archery. Is that your secret to having such an amazing body?

Cee: Actually no … I work my ass off every morning to get it right, sometimes I am too lazy too, but most times I do it. And I love eating salad… it’s an addiction!!

SimplySxy: What is your most embarrassing moment?

Cee: Haha … must I answer this? Ok ok I will. It has to be the eye twitch moment. If I get too nervous for a shoot my eye tends to twitch like it’s having a seizure… so embarrassing

SimplySxy: Your favourite body part?

Cee: I don’t have one to be honest… but most people say my “ass-et”

SimplySxy: What do you think you look sexiest in?

Cee: That “boyfriend” white shirt 😛

SimplySxy: What can a guy do to catch your attention at a club?

Cee: To be honest I have this “non-attention” making eye contact to guys ( covers her face) I don’t know what it is but really if I want to notice you I’ll look… but that being said it has to be the eyes and the smile and then the way he dresses.

SimplySxy: Thanks for answering our questions Cee, one last question, how do you define “sexy”?

Cee: Oohhhh this is my favourite part…sexy is confidence with a little attitude. The intelligence and the independence of a woman. To me that is super sexy, if you can be a girly girl to a boss then to a relax dress down easy tomboy, you’re going the right direction. It’s all about loving yourself and that confidence.

Babe of the day: Missy Ly

Who is Missy Ly?

I was originally born in BC, but moved to Alberta when I was very young. I am 23 years old and a fiery Aries. 😉 My nationality is half Korean and half Caucasian. I am currently attending College and working multiple jobs as well on the side. I love school, something about constant learning and being a bookworm makes it a fun place for me. I would consider myself a feminist.

I love reading nerdy novels, writing stories, shopping and traveling! I also love to cook and bake and have fun with my friends. I like animals more than most people, and my favorite animal is a wolf! I would love to get a zoo of animals when I’m less busy, but for now I have a Persian black cat named Mia. As well as that I have a very outgoing and friendly personality, and I love trying new things. If it’s an adventure- sign me up! I now reside in Edmonton, Alberta and am mostly based out of Canada, but am willing to travel if necessary. My areas of interest for modeling are glamour, editorial, fashion, hair/make up, lingerie, promotional, spokesperson/host, bodypaint, cosplay, art, pinup, swimwear, and implied.

What’s one fun fact about yourself?

I love, love, love reading and eating almost more than anything else! I’m a huge bookworm and foodie.

What turns you on?

My biggest turn on… neck kisses, a guy/girl that has a sexy back, and someone that’s confident and fun as well as kind- corny but true!

Craziest thing you’ve done?

I’ve done so many crazy things wow, one of the craziest was a time years ago when a group of my friends and I were scared of getting caught partying so we jumped through a window and ran away from the cops in the ghetto and were chased for blocks!

Worst rejection you’ve faced?

Worst rejection… probably a couple years ago, when I was seeing someone for a few weeks, and even though everything was going great one day they up and left and decided to go back to their ex. I was pretty hurt for a while there! We’re still friends today though thankfully.

Must have in your wardrobe?

Must have in my wardrobe.. a sexy dress to go out in, I love dresses, and my bathrobe truthfully! I love just wearing a robe around my house.

Where you can catch Missy Ly: Lately I’ve been doing a lot of tradeshows and I just started sushi modeling!
