Malaysian Micro-Influencer Sok Yin

Hi! Thank you SimplySxy for this opportunity! My name is Sok Yin, 23 years old and from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I’m an external auditor in an accounting firm and micro-influencer to share some beauty and fashion content on my Instagram (@sot_yin).

What inspires your fashion style and where do you love to shop from?

My fashion inspiration comes from online social media platforms such as Instagram and XiaoHongShu, and fashion bloggers. I love shopping online instead of the physical stores at a shopping mall because it would save time, convenience, and options. I usually buy my clothes from Taobao and some local online shops.

What hobbies or interests are you into?

I like outdoor activities such as camping, snorkeling, travel and exploring the city. But due to the Covid-19 pandemic, most of the outdoor activities are not allowed. I will take some entertainment videos such as dance or watching educational videos and register online courses to improve my skills for the working pathway.

Do you have a favorite side when taking selfies?

I usually take selfies with the right side of my face and no two-hand selfies.

How is a typical day like for yourself?

As a working adult on weekdays from 9am-6pm, sometimes I will need to OT for my job, otherwise I will spend my time with my family at night. During weekends is my off day from work, I will be dating my boyfriend, and sometimes I will have to photoshoot for product collaborations as well.

On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?

I think it is a 5, because I enjoy small groups of people in a comfortable environment. However, I will still join some parties if there are my close friends but without alcohol.

If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?

I wish I could listen to what people are thinking in their hearts. It would help me to get better communication with people, and if there is a negative comment, I would also know how to be improve myself.

What is a funny or weird attempt a guy has tried to know you?

I remembered during one of the Lunar Chinese New Year, a guy who played lion dance requested for my contact after he was done with his performance.
