Lithuanian Art & Nude Model Dovile

My name’s Dovile. I’m a Lithuanian art/nude model based in Belgium. I’ve been posing for photographers for over nine years and I think it’s safe to say I absolutely love what I do! 🙂

When did you first know that you were going to be a model?

If you asked a prepubescent me what I wanted to do when I grew up, modeling wouldn’t have ever crossed my mind. The first time I seriously considered standing in front of a lens was when I turned 18. I was driven by the curiosity to make some crazy ideas come true, I didn’t feel photogenic nor beautiful enough to pose for pictures, but yeah… Here we’re nine years later 🙂

Which genre of modeling do you enjoy most?

I try not to stick to only one genre. I love contrasts, variety, diversity… One day I might be doing artistic nudes, another day it’s portraits, then some sensual work in a hotel room and back to the studio for dance shots. I put my heart in all that I do and I find something appealing in every genre of modeling.

How is a typical day like for yourself?

Typical doesn’t really exist in my vocabulary, I guess. When I’m travelling the days are charged and hectic. I’m forgetting to eat and sleep,  running solely on positive energy. Some days I’m at home replying emails, scheduling, etc. When in Belgium, I try not to plan more than one shoot a day, I like working in a stress-free environment.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Modeling takes up pretty much all of my time. I don’t mind that. But when I find a free moment, I love walks in nature, writing, watching documentaries… Sometimes just doing nothing feels like a bliss.

Is there something you’ve always wished to do or learn but have not had the time?

So many things! I’m a strong believer in life-long learning and I love the feeling of experiencing something new for the first time. There’re so many places I want to visit, I’d love to get the driving licence, I’m studying Dutch at the moment and hope to be fluent soon…

If you could collaborate with anyone past or present, who will it be?

Too many people to list them here. Regarding the present, I don’t like talking too much about my dreams. I’m afraid they won’t come true then. First I have to achieve them, then we can talk about them 🙂

What is the lame or funny attempt a guy has tried to know you?

Just like in my previous answer, too many to list them here 😀

One time a guy proposed to me (but really!) after I gave him one (!) English class…

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Dovile. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”? 

So many things can be sexy in my eyes! A girl picking apples, someone wearing a turtleneck, a guy studying in the corner of the library, wildflowers, musky smells, the voice of the vocalist from that band you like, flowy dresses, the way someone smiles after a glass of wine…
