    Music Artist Yuri TKA’s Evolved In The Last 3 Years!

    We first featured Yuri in 2016 and in a blink of an eye, here we are again in 2020 finding out what she has been up to in the last 3 years. 

    First of all, I changed my artist’s name to Yuri TKA. “TKA” means Takase, which is my last name. I used my last name because I wanted identification as an artist.

    Also I started to work with record labels since last year. It is a very great experience. I get to sing with a bunch of different tracks. Also I started writing songs in Japanese which is a great opportunity to represent my own culture.

    This year will be a great year!

    Where do you get your music inspiration from?

    I get inspired from my daily life. I watch a lot of movies, shows, socializing with a lot of people, have girl talks etc… I think people give me lots of great inspiration.

    If I force myself to write music, I can’t have much creative ideas for some reason. Always, ideas fall down on me unexpectedly.

    What is your proudest achievement so far?

    Definitely I have stronger connection with my fans. Compared to the beginning of my music career, I get my comments about my music from fans. I really appreciate them.

    If you could collaborate with anyone past or present, who will it be?

    I can’t tell a specific name. But I would love to collaborate with whoever respects my music. I’m not a fan of being controlled too much.

    How is a typical day like for yourself?

    Most likely going to the gym and working out and eating lots on the weekend, haha. I love eating. I mostly eat out with my girl friends on the weekend.

    Do you have any other hobbies and interests?

    I’m a dog lover. I have two dogs. They are my babies.

    Which is your dream performance venue or event if you were given a choice?

    I would like to perform in Japan again. Also my favorite place is NYC which means I have to work harder.

    What exciting projects do you have planned for 2020?

    I’m releasing my new EP in April. Then, I’m hosting a release event on April 16th in Vancouver, Canada.

    Hi Yuri it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy.  Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

    Hi, I’m Yuri. I’m a recording artist and model.

    I was born in Japan and grew up there. I currently live in Vancouver, Canada.

    How did you get started into modeling?

    When I was performing as a singer, the organizer asked me to do modeling for the next show. I tried modelling and I found out modeling is fun and also improves confidence in myself.

    What is the most challenging assignment or event you have done so far?

    I always challenge a lot of things but when I performed at the event for local artists, I work hard.

    Practicing choreographing was the hardest part for me. Especially time wise, I had different schedules with dancers. It was hard to find time to rehearse with the girls.

    Eventually the show went so great! I got a lot of compliments.

    What is the best compliment you have received?

    As a singer, when I get compliments or comments about my music, it is the greatest thing.

    As a model, when I get compliments that my body is pretty fit.  I’ve been working hard on my body to get toned. Ideally I wanna get nice abs and toned thick thighs haha.

    Where can we catch you partying usually?

    I party in the clubs and lounges in downtown Vancouver or I party hard in Japan when I go back home LOL.

    What kind of music are you into?

    I like hiphop, R&B, Pop… I like any kind of music except Country..

    So I sing RnB,Pop:)

    What is the lamest pickup line or attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    Guys on Facebook.

    I rather to talk face to face.

    How will you describe an ideal date?

    I cook dinner for my boy (cooking together could be fun too) and watch a movie together. Maybe have a glass of wine. I’m not very into fancy stuff. Simple is the best 🙂
