Fashion blogger GG names the one fashion catastrophe everyone must avoid

    Who is GG?

My name is GG, I am usually known at @plaaastic. I am also usually known for being a fashion blogger, but I do everything honestly. Just art in general I guess.

    2

How will you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is just me. I don’t have a name for it, because I dress different all the time. Can’t stick to one thing, I have to keep evolving.

What’s the sexiest thing in your wardrobe?

    The nonexistent bra.

    Where do you usually shop?

I don’t have an usual place, bits and pieces from everywhere. Independent brands, diy, vintage…

What’s the most expensive item you have splurged on?

Probably my platforms. I don’t spend much on clothes honestly, like not one big thing at a time, always small stuffs all year round. Never have enough money to splurged actually lol.

    3

Do you have the urge to critic someone’s dress style if you see that it is a fashion catastrophe?

I don’t critique people who have their own style, I critique people who have absolutely no personal style. I mean how can you dress up and go out with something that does not represent you in anyway and feel comfortable with that? Especially those people who copy others. Your body is your canvas that you can draw on whatever the fuck you want but you use it to copy a famous painting instead and that’s just sad.

If you had the choice of any superpower, what will it be and why?

To turn into any animals, objects, and being I want. I want to have any other body but my own, so if I have a super power I want to have them all.

Which cartoon character best represents you?

    Mojojojo from Powerpuff girls.

What guilty indulgences do you have for food?

Gosh this is an awkward question. Food equal guilt for me so I don’t know.

    4

Funniest thing you’ve done or experienced?

I did a stand up comedy a few nights ago and I got kicked off the stage because I was bumping everybody out.

    What’s sexy to you?

Someone who is having absolute power over their body. Examples: woman who are comfortable naked, dancers who make their body moves exactly like how they imagine it, anyone who says “fuck it I am getting a new face” and get plastic surgery. Sexy for me is not about sex, it’s more of a fascination of someone’s view of their own sexuality (if that even make any sense).

What will you say is your most memorable achievement and experience so far?

My most memorable achievement to date is seeing my original song “Green Dragon” became the theme song for Martin Scorsese executive-produced film called “Revenge of the Green Dragons.” This all happened within 4 months of pursuing my music career so it’s more than a dream come true. I will be shooting the music video for it this fall!

How is a typical day like for you?

On a typically day, I’d be modeling/acting on a job and or going to castings in the AM. In meetings or setting up meetings for my own Music/Film projects in the afternoon. Then hitting my recording sessions in the evenings. You can also count on me being on social media constantly. I love interacting with fans.

With so many things going on at once, do you have time for any hobbies and personal down time?

If you love something or someone enough, you will make time 🙂

If you did not go into a career of modeling, acting and music, what do you think you will have chosen?

Definitely a career in business/real estate. I’d loved to own a spa, a restaurant and or a no kill shelter for animals especially for cats.

Which types of lingerie can you simply live without?

If it looks hot but feels anything less than comfortable – it’s going in the trash can!

Do you have any guilty pleasures?

Hmm don’t know if I’m allowed to say this one out loud! 😉

You are currently working on your eagerly awaited debut album which I am sure your fans are looking forward to hearing. What can they expect from the album once it is released?

Yes! I’m very excited to be back in the studio and finishing up my debut album. There will be songs from Timbaland Productions as well so I can’t wait to share! Soulful + sultry tones are the roots of my music. I also love rap and good dance/pop tracks so I hope to mesh my many layers seamlessly into this album. I’m very selfish when it comes to making music since I independently fund them myself.  So I know that whatever I decided to put on my album, I can be sure that fans can expect that it came from my heart 🙂

It’s a great pleasure to feature you on on SimplySxy, Devon. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Confidence. Going after what you want and not apologizing for who you are is the epitome of “sexy” to me.

  • Viet Pride 2014, Starting 18th July!

Viet Pride 2014, Starting 18th July!

Starting from the end of 2013 until now, we have witnessed positive movements in the gay, bisexual, and transgender community in Vietnam (hereinafter referred to as the ‘LGBT’ community). One typical example is the ‘I DO’ campaign that exploded on the Internet, which called on people to support marriage equality for same-sex couples. After which, the campaign gained enormous response from people of all social backgrounds. At the same time, there were new ideas for the Amended Constitution of Vietnam, in regards to the citizens’ rights to marriage, according to which, “men and women have the right to marry”. It has opened new doors for marriage equality.

In June 2014, the Marriage and Family Law of 2000 (amended) was passed. Unlike what the LGBT community had hoped for, all that has changed was the replacement of the word “prohibited” with “not recognize”, in regards to same-sex marriage. Although for many people, this mostly means that the Law in Vietnam is not making any progress. However, it is what actually motivates the LGBT community and those who support non-discrimination in marriage, to have even more purpose in advocating for change, and removing prejudices in society.

Therefore, the theme for VietPride 2014—the pride event of the LGBT community in Vietnam this year, was decided to be “Blossom Your Life!”. As a message, which emphasizes on a positive outlook for the future, it urges for everyone in the community to be strong and live true to themselves. It also calls on friends and allies to take the initiative to stand up, and protect what is right and necessary in society.

VietPride 2014 will be held in 17 provinces and cities of Vietnam, such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Can Tho, Hai Phong, Hue, Dong Nai, Thanh Hoa, Dalat … At each location, the LGBT community and supporters are all going to have quite attractive activities, such as seminars, exhibitions, film screenings, sharing and exchanges, cycling, parade, flashmob dance, and also entertainment programs which are contributed by the community themselves. In the overall spirit of the worldwide Pride event (1), VietPride brings with it, not only the pride of the LGBT community members, but also an opportunity to exchange between parents, friends, as well as those who simply want to give support for justice, for the diversity of life, for love and marriage equality.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the VietPride 2014 event will take place over 4 days, from July 18th to July 21st, 2014. There will be alternating activities, such as seminars, 45-minute workshop sessions, community celebration night, film screenings, exhibitions, and especially the outdoor event with pink dress code titled “Blossom Your Life!”, which promises to bring an atmosphere filled with spreading love.

In the aspiration for a just and civilized society, we hope that your contributing efforts, as reporters and editors, will be a powerful catalyst in providing all citizens with more information on diversity, in order to remove prejudices, and to build an increasingly brighter future.

    Best regards,

    The Organizer of VietPride 2014

(1)The origin of the LGBT Pride Month: Each year, the month of June has become the Pride month of the LGBT community all over the world since 1969, to commemorate the Stonewall event in Manhattan – the tipping point for a series of movements, fighting for equality rights of gay, bisexual and transgender people in America. At present, Pride month is different for different places, but usually varies between the three months of June, July and August of each year.
