    Entrepreneur Stephanie Jones

Hi Stephanie it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy.  Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Thank you for having me! I am 23 years old (24 next month) and live in Sydney,  Australia. I own a Digital Marketing Agency called Summer Vibing, and we specialise in Social Media Marketing and Management.

    What hobbies do you have?

My favourite thing in the world to do is to either hang out with my best friends, my family or my pet dogs. I also love Pilates and walking, as this clears my mind and allows me to be my most productive self. I love waking up in the mornings with a green tea, followed by pilates, a hot shower and some work.

Which is your proudest achievement so far?

My greatest achievement so far has been moving to Sydney to live with my partner, Nate. I had never lived out of home before, so leaving my family and friends behind to embark on a new journey was daunting. I am so proud of myself for having the courage to take a chance and stand on my own two feet.

How much of a party animal are you?

I used to be out every single weekend, but now that I am getting older this has decreased dramatically. My ideal Saturday night is a nice dinner with the people I love, and a bottle of wine.

What is your fashion style like?

I love classic, minimalist pieces. In winter I love pairing a skinny jean with an oversized knit, and in summer I love dainty dresses or playsuits.

Are you more of a morning person or night owl?

I am definitely not a night owl. I am the biggest grandma! I am usually in bed by 9:30pm every night (except weekends). In saying that, whilst I am awake early, I also love to laze around in bed until 9am.

If you could describe yourself as a flavor, what will it be?

Peanut butter! Because I am a peanut butter addict.

What is the lamest attempt a guy has tried to hit on you?

It was actually probably by my boyfriend, haha. Upon finding out I lived in another state, he said “well I know where my next holiday is”. But hey, it worked!

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Stephanie. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

To me, sexy is being comfortable in your own skin and not needing others validation or approval to feel worthy.

  • Lifestyle Influencer Eileen Cai

    Lifestyle Influencer Eileen Cai

Hi Eileen, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions on SimplySxy.  Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hi my name is Eileen and I am a lifestyle influencer based in Sydney. I’m always up for a new adventure and a good chat over a cup of coffee. I love anything from food to fashion to travelling!

    2

    What hobbies do you have?

I love learning, exploring and going on new adventures. In my spare time, I love seeing my friends, trying out new cafes and travelling. On other days I love picking up a new book to read, cooking up a feast or sitting down to do a bit of oil painting.

How much of a foodie are you and what are your favourite types?

I don’t know how to classify myself with a word but if anything, most of my daily thoughts and activities definitely revolve around food! Most of the time when I finish my breakfast I’m already thinking about where to go for lunch, and after lunch, I’m likely to be thinking about dessert! Before I travel I will always make sure to research different places where I would like to eat so I can plan an itinerary.

In general, I love all kinds of food and cuisines but you will mostly catch me at a café or eating Japanese food!

    4

What is your beauty regime like to looking so gorgeous?

Skincare is definitely an important part of my life and daily routine. I do my best to always thoroughly cleanse, moisturized and protect my skin. Having beautiful skin is more important.

Which is the most expensive item you have ever splurged on?

It’s expensive to be a girl and I always splurge on make up, accessories, bags or shoes! But the most expensive thing I spend my money on is not an item, it is more of an experience –  I actually spend the most on travelling and flying!

If you could learn anything in the world, what will it be?

I would definitely love to learn more languages so I can communicate with anyone in the world!

    1

What do you find most attractive about the opposite sex?

I am attracted to a good sense of humor, nice eyes and smile.

How will you describe an ideal first date and have you had any bad date experience?

I think an ideal first date would feel very natural where both people feel comfortable and happy in each other’s company. It could be a quick coffee date or sit down dinner, as long as we can get along. Fortunately I haven’t had any memorable bad experiences so far and I hope it stays that way!

It’s a pleasure to feature you Eileen. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

It’s always hard to define the term sexy but I guess sexy can be defined as irresistibly attractive or tempting. It can range anything from  “sexy” egg porn from a runny yolk, or a “sexy” little black dress to an actual person!

  • Model Joanna Aoran is a stargazer

Model Joanna Aoran is a stargazer

    Who is Joanna Aoran?

Hi there! Thanks for having me! I was born in Jakarta and raised in a few different countries. I used to live in Tokyo for few years and I spent my teenage life in Jakarta, Indonesia. In saying all that, I have been living in Sydney for more than 8 years and I am proud to call Sydney my second home.

I have always been passionate in things that I mostly love. My mother noted my passion for photography since I was 2. Since then, my passion for modelling and photography grew in me. Henceforth, I am who I am today.

People know me as the bubbly, spontaneous and energetic girl. Interestingly, I have been told that I am quite straightforward when it comes to opinion.

Fun facts about me, I have deep passion about the universe as I am constantly amazed by it. If you ask me if I chase the stars, yes I do. I’m proud to be called a stargazer! Moreover, I embedded my heart into music apart from all of these. Singing is a way to my soul!

    2

How did your interest in fashion develop and what led to creating your blog?

As I previously said, I have had interest in modelling and photography since I was a little girl. This passion is deeply rooted in me. Dressing up is almost like a daily dose of happiness for me. I just can’t leave the house without looking dapper and fabulous. Dressing up does not necessarily mean that I need to wear long gowns or maxi dresses all the time. What ‘dressing up’ means to me is when I feel most comfortable with myself.

My hubby is the one who encouraged me to create fashion blog. He is the one person who pushes me to the limit to be better. I am naturally not a risk-taker and I have the tendency not to try new things. Regardless, here I am. I have established my own branding.

    3

What is a typical day like for you?

A typical day for me? That’s such an interesting question! Haha! My typical kind of day would involve a cup of organic coffee, playing with my dog, shower, put on some makeup and dress up like I’m going to see my enemies today. 😉

If you had the chance to meet a style icon, past or present, who will it be?

I would kill to meet Karl Lagerfeld. I mean who doesn’t who he is? He’s the head designer and creative director for CHANEL as well as FENDI! He owns his own label fashion house as well! He has collaborated with heaps of insanely famous people and famous brands. Most importantly, most of his work of art have been featured in international and established magazines! He’s just a legend to me!

    4

What is one thing you splurge on and skimp on?

I would totally splurge on makeup! Call me a makeup junkie or makeup addict! I don’t mind being labelled that way! Speaking of skimping, I would skimp on gadgets accessories. For instance, I wouldn’t pay more than $30 for an iphone case. 😉

Which are some essential items every lady must have?

I personally think that every lady NEEDS to have at least few pairs of Christian Louboutin, a Chanel/Hermès bag, a statement necklace, a little black dress, few pair of nice flats (Salvatore Ferragamo would be my personal choice), skinny jeans, tailored blazer, basic tees (white/black/grey) and a watch.

    5

Describe your personal style and influences or inspiration.

My personal style would always be simplicity. I embrace the notion of simplicity as less is more. I could dress up complexly from time to time however I would stick to simplicity for most days. In saying that, my personal style is ever-changing, versatile and unlimited.

My personal style is mood-driven and my inspirations come from different fashion icons all around the world.

    6

What is the first thing you look at in another person’s outfit?

This is interesting. In answering to that question, I would say the overall look from top to bottom. If you ask me in particular, I would say the handbag. 😉

Thank you for taking your time to answer our questions on SimplySxy, Joanna. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

In my opinion, Sexy does not always necessarily associated with body or looks. Sexy is a woman who has a great mind, knows when to hold tongue and speak up and can stand up for her own beliefs. Speaking of sexiness and from physical point of view, sexy is when a woman can take a good care of herself and feel comfortable being herself at all times.

  • Showgirl Arizona and her killer pole dancing skills

Showgirl Arizona and her killer pole dancing skills

Hi Arizona, it’s a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy.  Please share with us a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Thanks for having me! My name is Arizona and I’m a professional showgirl and pole dance instructor from Sydney.

    How did you begin modeling?

My first ever photoshoot was some 10 yrs ago for the hair salon that did my hair at the time. It was a fetish/goth/alternative shoot and I was so awkward and nervous. Fast forward to last year – I started collaborating with photographers and other creatives via social networking and word of mouth. As I gained confidence in my performance skills, also came my confidence in my own skin to shoot more risqué projects.

    2

You have many awesome tattoos! Is there an interesting story behind one of them?

I was one of those kids drawing on themselves growing up so to me, I’ve always just liked the way a decorated body looked with incredible artwork from artists I follow so I don’t necessarily have deep meanings attached to them. One of my favorites however, would have to be the Gizmo on my leg in a teapot which I think is kind of ironic ’cause you can’t get gremlins wet.

When did you pick up pole dancing and where did the interest come from?

I started pole dancing early 2011 out of a whim although I probably knew deep inside I secretly wanted to be a showgirl someday.  I’ve always loved and dabbled in dancing or entertaining of some sort without prior proper training so pole dancing gave me that outlet of creating a show while getting fit, strong, flexible & confident at the same time.

Is pole dancing tough to pick up for someone who has never tried it before?

Pole dancing IS tough. There’s no sugar coating it. You will feel so inadequate, unfit, uncoordinated and that you will never be able to lift your own body weight for the life of you. But you have to persevere and you’ll get stronger and achieve so much than you can ever imagine and it’s an incredibly rewarding experience.

    3

Which song will you say best describes you?

I’d be any Marilyn Manson song. Dark and tough on the outside but can be sweet and sensual on the inside and at most times makes no sense.

What’s one fun fact about yourself that people might not necessarily know?

I was a combat medic in the Australian Army Reserves in my early 20s.

If you could ask your future self one question, what will it be?

How many cats do I end up having in the future?

    4

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions, Arizona. One last one before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Thank you! Sexy is confidence. Be it with clothes, with little clothes, lady-like or raunchy… Whichever you feel is the best version of you.

  • Go on a gastronomical adventure with Cayla Jade Yeoh

Go on a gastronomical adventure with Cayla Jade Yeoh

When visiting Cayla Jade Yeoh‘s blog, which we strongly recommend if you have yet to do so, you’re taken on a never ending gastronomical adventure of various cuisines that’s bound to make your mouth water. Learn about Cayla in this quick interview as she tells us which types of food she can’t live without and the funniest pickup line she’s ever heard.

Hi Cayla, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions on SimplySxy.  Please share with us a little about yourself and where you’re from?

You’re welcome. I was born in Sydney Australia, with a Malaysian and Timorese background. I’m easy going and super friendly once you get to know me. I love singing, dancing, making coffee, taking photographs and going on adventures.

    2

What do you love most about Sydney?

I love the coffee culture! Sydney is best known for their diversity in food and cool places to hang. The weather and also the beautiful people. 🙂

Where can we find you partying on weekends?

I’m getting to the point where I am over clubbing, however I do enjoy the occasional night out when an event pops up or just chill at a bar. I prefer festivals though. Catch me at my last Defqon, this September. Who doesn’t like hardstyles? Getting too old for this. :p

    3

Your Instagram has lots of great food posts. Which are your guilty indulgences you can’t live without?

That is a hard one. I probably cannot live without coffee and chocolate. Those two combinations are hard to resist.

How will you describe your fashion style?

I’d like to think that I am an all rounder. Sometimes I like to dress up and get all done up but most days I prefer to be comfy in a pair of tights and sneakers. Comfort all the way, I say.

    IMG_5257

If you had the opportunity to time travel, where will you choose to go?

Probably wouldn’t time travel. Life is meant to be enjoyed and sometimes we lose sight of it all, so I wouldn’t want to go forward or neither back in time.

    4

What’s the funniest pickup line you’ve heard?

My partner said this pick up line to me and now I am using it all the time.

Are you a vegetable? Because you’re a cute cumber. 😉

One fun fact about yourself which people might not know?

I may not be Portuguese but I’m Portuguese citizen and have a European passport because my mother lived in Portugal for quite sometime. I can also speak three languages and love adventurous sporting activities 😀

    5

It’s a great pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy, Cayla. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

To me, sexy is not about the physical aspect but more of an individual being confident and living positively. Sexy is having the courage to do whatever you like in your own way, through hard work and setting goals to achieve your own ambition. A smile is also very very sexy 🙂

  • Makeup artist and entrepreneur Linda Tran

Makeup artist and entrepreneur Linda Tran

Get makeup tips from the talented Linda Tran who runs her own business which provides makeup and professional hairstyle services as well as courses to learn the fundamentals to be a makeup artist. With her goal to make every individual look pretty for that special occasion, Linda manages to blend her skill and style to make it seem effortless.

Hi Linda, it’s a great pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with us a little about yourself and where you’re from?

I’m an Australian born Vietnamese. At 25 years of age, I’ve lived most my life in Sydney where I’ve established my own business, I MAKE IT.

How did your interest in beauty and makeup come from?

I’ve studied art from a young age and it has always been my favourite subject in school. I’ve always found art very therapeutic and as the years went on, I expanded that interest into anything beauty, fashion and design related.

As a make up artist, I find that each individual is a unique canvas, and it is the job of the artist to bring out their full potential in an art form.

    2

What prompted you to start your own business, I MAKE IT?

I couldn’t see my future as a retail make up artist. After gaining enough experience, I wanted to spread my wings and be my own boss. So I took a leap of faith and feel so blessed with all the support I’ve received. Without everyone, I couldn’t have came this far!

Can you describe a typical day of yours?

A typical working day will be around 12-16hrs. It’s not an easy day, but I must say it is a very rewarding day. I specialize in bridal/special occasions make up, so being a part of someones special day, just feels amazing.

Although it’s tiring, the hours, it doesn’t really feel like work. Just powering through a day of meeting lovely people, and making them feel that little bit more pretty.

    3

Does everyone look better with makeup?

Everyone can look better with the right amount of make up, and the correct application. We have to fully understand our facial features and our skin type to optimize results, otherwise it can go horribly wrong.

In saying this, I also love my no make up days. It’s important to have a balance and not feel the need to hide behind your make up. Make up is only art, an art of expression.

Can you share some essential makeup items every lady should not leave home without?

Moisturiser, spf preferred (it’ll benefit you in the long run)

Lip balm and eyebrows. Be it pencil, powder or whatever you like, but if you’re not blessed with full brows. Filling in your brows will really help shape your face.

I also like concealer to cover blemishes and to make me appear more ‘awake’, and some blush and highlight for that healthy glow.

    4

What makeup tips can you share to ladies who are very busy and do not have the time to spend too long on it?

People care about people who care about themselves.

Just take 10 minutes out of your day, whether it is waking up earlier or the need to multi task. Apply some moisturizer and lip balm, then conceal any dark circles or pigmentation you have (does wonders), quick mineral powder, blush, brows and mascara and you’ll feel so much more alive =)

Do you have a skin care routine which you follow?

I actually have really sensitive skin, so I try not to go too crazy with experimenting new things and stick to the basics. I find that’s what works for me.

I’ve been using Olay sensitive skin moisturizer since I was a teenager and still love it.

Being a make up artist, and wearing make up all day on most days, it’s important to cleanse my skin.

I remove my make up with Bioderma cleansing water, use my Clarisonic with a foaming cleanser and exfoliate with St Ives almond or apricot scrub 2-3 times a week.

I try to use toner and eye cream, but still on the hunt for one that I love.

    5

Thank you for taking your time to answer our questions on SimplySxy, Linda. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

To me, sexy means confidence. Sexy isn’t just about appearance, but the way you hold yourself and how you feel about yourself.

Being beautiful or being sexy isn’t a look, it’s a feeling. So long as you’re happy, you’ll appear to be the sexiest person.

I definitely feel inner beauty is much more important than outer beauty. We just have to keep in mind, that it’s the outer beauty that people usually notice first. So in this world in which we live in, we should respect ourselves and take pride, so in return people will respect us.

  • Emily Bellerose from Australia is heating things up!

Emily Bellerose from Australia is heating things up!

Things are heating up down under even though it is winter in Australia as we feature the sexy Emily Bellerose from Sydney. Enjoy reading Emily’s responses in this fun interview and admire her beauty at every angle in this hot feature!

SimplySxy: Hi Emily, it’s a great pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy.  Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Emily: Hello! Aw it’s a pleasure for me to be featured on SimplySxy, so thank you! I’m very bad at introductions but my name is Emily Bellerose, I’m a huge animal lover (especially ducks) and I’m from Sydney, Australia. I’m nineteen but I look twenty-nine haha, and I am absolutely obsessed with puns!

    2

SimplySxy: Where did your interest in modelling come from and begin?

Emily: Growing up, I’ve always wanted to be something that was either in the entertainment business or someone who was in the spotlight. It went from wanting to be an actress, a singer and eventually a runway model.. until I realised that I was nowhere near meeting the height requirements. I decided to try out import modelling because it seemed so fun and confidence boosting and now I love it and hope that I can eventually model for a living!

    3

SimplySxy: Can you tell us 3 fun facts about yourself?

Emily: Hmm, well this may seem a little odd and weird to a lot of people but I’m actually double jointed in my entire body! I can do weird things like body skips, rotate my hand 360 degrees and so much more. People get so grossed out though, but it’s fun to show off my wacky skill. As I mentioned before, I’m a huge animal lover and love ducks so much that I actually don’t eat them at all! Not to say I haven’t eaten them before but when I got to the age of around ten, I had a moment of realisation and just stopped eating them completely. And last but not least, my blood type is AB which is one of the rarest blood types, and the blood type with the weirdest personality apparently!

    4

SimplySxy: Do you have a fitness regime to staying in such fabulous shape?

Emily: Once upon a time, I used to hit the gym quite often but after my membership expired I’ve just been working out at home. I generally just do some squats and abdominal workouts but I do love vegetables so that keeps me quite healthy. Broccoli is my favourite!

    5

SimplySxy: What is the naughtiest thing you have ever done and not regret?

Emily: Haha! I’m very much a good girl so I don’t think I’ve done anything too naughty? Especially since I’m still only nineteen but in the past I’ve done silly things like get piercings behind my parent’s backs and then get kicked out of the house but nothing that a normal teen hasn’t done!

    6

SimplySxy: Have you experienced any bad pickup lines from guys before?

Emily: I’ve had occasions where guys have tried to convince me to eat with them or scare me by appearing out of nowhere but surprisingly no! I do know a funny anti-pickup line that actually happened though… Here in Sydney, our phone numbers begin with 04 so one time my friend witnessed a guy ask a girl for her number. She told him 042… Sexy for you, and just walked off! I’ve yet to try that haha!

    7

SimplySxy: Are you more of a lingerie or bikini girl?

Emily: I think I’m more of a lingerie girl because there are so many more styles of lingerie. Lingerie makes me feel more classy and fancy than a bikini does but there is always a time and a place for whatever it is you’re wearing and as long as you’re wearing it with confidence, then that’s all that matters.

    8

SimplySxy: Which is your favourite body part?

Emily: Legs!! You can never go wrong with a pair of long legs in a skirt, shorts and even a pair of jeans. I think a pair of legs are attractive in a more subtle way compared to a pair of boobs or a nice ass and that’s what makes them extra nice.

    9

SimplySxy: Thank you for taking your time to answer our questions on SimplySxy, Emily. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Emily: It was my pleasure! Many people define “sexy” in different ways but I don’t think sexy should be defined specifically to a certain look or body type. To me, “sexy” is to have confidence shine through and to have a lovable personality to go with it! “Sexy” shouldn’t be wearing revealing clothes or even lingerie because people can look “sexy” even covered up in the winter. So I think that to be sexy is to be someone with confidence and personality; looks are only a bonus!

  • Intro Sessions to BDSM – Are you ready to step into the world of BDSM?

Intro Sessions to BDSM – Are you ready to step into the world of BDSM?

Ever wondered how it will feel to submit yourself? Or if you’re unsure of what to ask for when contacting a dominatrix? Worry no further. Mistress Jadis is a professional dominatrix based in Sydney, Australia and has a wide variety of interests which includes Corporal Punishment, Cock & Ball Torture and Play Piercing. One of her specialties and favorite activities however, is Intro Sessions for new players. Conducting her sessions from one of the best equipped dungeons in Australia, we ask Mistress Jadis more about Intro Sessions and what new players should know before entering the world of BDSM.

Why is Intro Sessions one of your favorite activities?

I love intro sessions because I love intensity. While the level of play in many intro sessions is not heavy the intensity of the experience and the emotions involved often can be. For many subs that come to me for an intro session it’s their first step toward bringing what can often be years of fantasy into reality.

If one is curious about trying it out, how can they get started?

Think about what attracts you to this experience and what you’d like to get out of it. What activities are you keen to try? How do you want to feel? What are your limits?

I’d also recommend that new subs contemplating a first session do some research both into BDSM in general and in particular the activities that interest them. Quality consent is informed consent.

Your next step is finding a Professional Dominant to play with. Most quality practitioners will have their own website and google will help you to find someone in your area. Take the time to browse the sites of a few different Professional Dominants. Don’t just look at the pictures. Take the time to read about their interests, limits and facilities. Many professional kinksters also blog, have reviews and have extensive social media presences. These can be a valuable way to get a feel for skill level and personality fit.

Many professional perverts will detail how they prefer to be contacted on their sites. When you feel ready to enquire about a booking be sure to be polite, concise and respectful in your approach. Many of us are quite selective in who we see.

What happens if a new player is unsure of what they want?

Most quality professional dominants will be able to put together an intro session comprising popular activities. You and they will then be able to assess what worked and what didn’t.

Intro sessions can sometimes yield surprises. Sometimes things that seemed like super hot ideas don’t translate well to reality. Conversely things that were not super appealing can turn out to be really enjoyable in practice.

My preference is always that the sub have done enough research to have at least an idea of their potential interests. Kink is quite a broad field so it does help to at least have a starting point.

Describe a typical session for a new player and what they can expect at your intro session.

There really is no typical session. Each session is tailored to incorporate expressed interests and limits.

Going into an intro session your expectation should be that the play will be conducted safely, in a clean environment and that your limits will be respected.

What are some things new players should know and prepare themselves before trying out?

It’s important to understand that the relationship between you and the kink provider that you see is a professional one. While what happens in session is intimate and real, the relationship is a boundaried one for valid reasons. This protects you as well as your provider. Respecting the time and privacy of your kink professional is essential.

Both parties will enjoy the time spent in the dungeon more if you arrive clean and well groomed. I always tell slaves to prepare for a session as they would prepare for a hot date.

The other thing to consider is sub drop. Intense experiences can stir up a lot of endorphins which can leave you feeling a bit ordinary in the days or hours following the session. If you’re feeling a bit tired, or depressed after play recognising that sub drop is a thing and taking good care of yourself helps a lot. I let slaves coming to me for an intro know that they can email me to debrief if needs be.

Can you tell us more about the dungeon where your sessions are done and the equipment available?

My sessions are conducted from Mistress Servalan’s Carisbrook dungeon. It’s a large, open plan warehouse with themed areas – quite a unique playspace. We have a huge main dungeon, a school room, a cross dressing room, a mirrored sling room and a rubber themed area. As well as all the usual toys we have an impressive selection of bondage furniture – some custom and many from Fetters, including an inversion rack and our beloved “Wheel of Misfortune”. We also have a cell which is often utilised in overnight sessions, a dog box (which can also be used for sensory deprivation), a standing cage and a suspendable ball cage.

  • Australia’s Legal Brothels, Sydney Part 2

Australia’s Legal Brothels, Sydney Part 2

With respect to receptionists and management, I have to say the Shoe ranks as the worst for me.  But it has the best reputation out of all brothels in the state so it had a higher number of clientele.  I worked there on and off for two years.  I suspect that the management has engineered certain rules to make sure that working girls have a shorter shelf life, which means a constant influx of new workers which is attractive to clients.  Some receptionists were lovely and there for us workers.  But the business was run with a ‘customer’s always right’ mentality.  This is all well and good for when you’re selling inanimate products or a normal service like house cleaning or dentistry.  But when you are dealing in an industry that essentially sells personalities, it is a whole different scenario.

Personalities are malleable and dependent on so many external factors.  For a worker that is good at her job, the only thing that will affect her performance is the way a client treats her.  I tell my clients all the time, as long as you are polite and respectful, you will get the best from me.  Of course in this world sometimes people don’t click.  When a dispute erupts between a client and working girl, chances are it is the client’s fault.

The bookings I walked out of that stick in my memory are the guy who was so drunk he could barely stand and after about 20 minutes he must have told me to ‘Shut tha fook oop’ at least ten times.  There was also the guy who just went and shoved his dick up my anus on one of my first ever shifts.  As a brothel worker I did not allow clients to finger me, be too rough or indulge in certain extras without paying first.  Most of us would just warn him the first time a client crossed our boundaries, the second time we would walk out.

At the Shoe, though, there was an implicit pressure to put up with clients’ shit, no matter how bad we were being treated.  If it wasn’t because receptionists recorded everything in a diary and sacked girls who had had too many run-ins with clients, it was because many times I saw certain perpetrators be welcomed back in to the establishment and piss off some more workers.

The first time I left it was because I went traveling for months, fell in love, then got a normal job.  When that short-lived romance ended I wasn’t quite ready to go back there.  On its own the Shoe is overwhelming.  So I worked a few shifts at one Eastern Suburbs establishment where the receptionists were the nicest I had ever come across but dammit, they just didn’t get enough clients.

I moved on to another brothel right in the middle of Sydney’s central business district.  Because of its location I stood a chance of making a similar amount to what I made at the Shoe from the suit-wearing clientele.  Unfortunately, the management were a bunch of meth-addled, paranoid, MMA-type men.  The brothel was much like those found in Melbourne where rather than being put in a room, introduced to girls one-by-one and told to choose, clients could sit at a bar and talk a bit more with girls.  This is all well and good but many time-wasters would come in, sit at the bar for ages, perv on the girls then leave.  Others would stay for hours then only book the cheapest service.

Initially the owner and his MMA mates were vigilant about making these wankers leave but after a while they started assuming the ‘customer’s always right’ mentality a la Shoe.  Furthermore, the beefy owner would sit at the end of the bar watching everything going on like some pimp.  Most owners would employ a female manager for this, so clients and even the workers wouldn’t be put off.

Some of the workers there weren’t particularly nice either.  There were many older women who had been working there for years who took an instant dislike to me.  There was a more competitive atmosphere because of the bar setting.  I suppose because we didn’t have our own room to hang out while waiting for clients, we couldn’t really relax.

Eventually, I wound up back at the Shoe but every few weeks, I’d take some weeks off to dedicate more time to my studies or travel some more.  One year later I left because I had an argument with the manager who yelled at me for not wanting to take a one hour booking 15 minutes before my 10 hour night shift was due to end.  She said when I offered to do the booking for half an hour “It’s not up to us to tell the clients how long they can stay or not. If you do this again you won’t be welcome back here.

Feeling like I had no autonomy over my own body I left to work at a rival brothel.  Here many of the girls and even one of the receptionists had worked at the Shoe and left for similar reasons to mine.  I remember my first booking; as soon as I brought the client up the room and finished his health check he leaned in to the shower and began pissing.  In my surprise I told reception over intercom.  The receptionist arrived immediately, sternly told the man that all he had to do was ask me which way to the toilets and asked me if I still wanted to go ahead with the booking.  My standards were low after working at the Shoe for years so I said yes.  As we were walking downstairs to sort the money out the client yelled down to us to stop talking about him.  The receptionist went up there, yelled at him to put his clothes on and kicked him out.  This would not have happened at the Shoe and it made me feel really good about this new place,  Whitney’s I’ll call it.

For brothel workers it’s important for our morale to know that the receptionists are on our side.  To watch us like hawks and not back us up when we have legitimate grievance with a client damages our psyche.  We no longer like our work, making us more likely to give bad service.  It also makes us more likely to burn out quickly and disappear, which is probably what the Shoe was aiming for.  Meanwhile, other business struggle to find enough variety of ladies and appreciate if a worker can bring in regular clients.  Unfortunately, I just couldn’t make enough money at Whitney’s, there weren’t enough clients coming in.

  • Australia’s Legal Brothels, Sydney Part 1 – An Insiders Perspective

Australia’s Legal Brothels, Sydney Part 1 – An Insiders Perspective

Australia; the land of tranquil beaches, relaxed people and numerous predators.  Many a traveller has disembarked Sydney Airport and marveled at the sparkling harbor, blue skies and cosmopolitan structures.  One would hardly suspect that this city is also home to a number of legal brothels that are large and grandiose enough to rival any in Berlin or Amsterdam.

I made my first foray into the world of Sydney’s brothels over three years ago.  After following the directions according to the brothel’s website I arrived at a large, nondescript grey building.  It was on a busy road, appeared somewhat new and had no windows.  I rang the doorbell and was ushered in to what was a complete contrast to the outside.  In front of me was a spiral staircase and a water feature.  Carefully controlled lighting and unobstructive bar/lounge music created a tasteful atmosphere.  I was led around a corner to a full stocked bar decked out with leather seats for a formal interview.  Then I was given a tour of the establishment, from the ‘girls’ room’ where the workers could watch TV, enjoy a fully stocked fridge or set up their laptops on tables while they waited for ‘meets.’

In the meetings, clients would ring the doorbell and be greeted by smiling receptionist who would lead him to an allocated room.  As she seated the client, the receptionist would tell him what to expect (‘The girls will come and introduce themselves one by one. Please remember their names and feel free to ask them any questions’) then leave him to peruse the price list.  Afterwards she would come back, consult with the client, then go to the girls’ room to retrieve the working lady of his choosing.

The chosen worker would collect the client, bring him to the staircase where the receptionist would tell her the number of which room to go to, then take him upstairs.  Upon entering the room, she would lead the client to a special lamp where she would instruct the client to drop his pants so she could give him a thorough health check.  With all things clear (which happened about 95% of the time) she would ask him how long he wanted to stay, take the money from him and put him in the shower.

Then she would go to the cashier’s office at the end of the corridor, say the type of service and the room number, e.g. ‘1 hour plus kissing in 5.’  The cashier would record this and the worker would take her ‘condom bag’ from the cupboard and go back to the room where the client would have by then finished his shower.  Every room had an intercom where the cashier would ring a buzzer five minutes before the booking was due to finish.  The worker and client would shower, get changed, then be ready to leave the room by the time the second buzzer was rung.  She would lead him down the back staircase where the receptionist would meet them to see the client out.

What I have described is a very formulaic process that was common practice for every brothel I have ever worked at. As clinical as it sounds, it was quite fun a lot of the time.  Despite the processing each brothel had its own individual character, depending on the workers, the receptionists, the management and the décor.  There wasn’t much difference in clients as far as demographics are concerned.

Watch out for Part 2 of Australia’s legal brothels this weekend!
