    I currently reside in St Louis, Mo. I’m originally from Guyana, South America. I migrated to the US in 2004 to pursue graduate studies and have earned a certificate in Biotechnology, Masters in Molecular Biology and a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology. In 2013, I opened The Simple Fit Life Personal Training Studio and have helped hundreds transform their lives.

    Was the area of health and fitness something that you had interest in since you were a child?

    Yes. growing up I was bullied for being skinny; so bodybuilding always intrigued me.

    Which common reasons or excuses do you often hear from those who don’t exercise?

    I don’t have time

    How is your workout regime like typically?

    I strength train 6 times per week and perform cardio 6 times a week. Sunday is my rest day.

    Is there any food or drink you don’t take?

    No food is off limit, however my diet mainly consists of nutrient dense whole foods. I reserve alcohol for special occasions; typically I do not drink.

    If you had the opportunity to learn anything in this world, what will it be?

    How to swim.

    Do you have any other hobbies and interests?

    Reading and bedazzling competition bikinis. I have a company called Ice Bikinis.

    What do you not get about the opposite sex?

    Why they like to play games. This is also applicable to grown folks of both gender.

    San Francisco Based Taiwanese Model & Personal Trainer Lindy Mei

    I’m Lindy Mei. I was born in Taiwan but raised in San Francisco. I eventually migrated back to Taiwan and lived there for eight years before returning to California. I was raised by my single Taiwanese mom so while I’m bi-racial and spent my childhood in America, I identify heavily with my Taiwanese culture.

    How long have you been modeling and what do you love about it?

    I’ve pretty much been modeling for about 14 years. I started at 15 but didn’t decide to do it full time until age 20 because of school. People always ask if it was my dream to be a model but the truth is, it was never a dream of mine. It was actually my mom who encouraged me to do it since she was in the fashion industry.

    I suspect maybe it was always her dream to model but she was too short so she wanted to live vicariously through me. I did grow to love it though!

    What inspired you to be a personal trainer?

    Obviously, as a model, your body is highly scrutinized and you have to stick to very rigid measurements. I would see girls in the industry do outrageous things to meet these guidelines. They didn’t know much about working out and they had these crazy diets, usually assigned to them from their agents or suggested by another model.

    As someone who always loved working out and spent a lot of time in the gym, I would encourage them to try healthier diets and show them how to work out. I knew I couldn’t model forever so this seemed like the perfect transition to make.

    Do you follow a strict diet and exercise regime daily?

    I follow a strictly vegan diet, meaning absolutely no animal products (no dairy, eggs, honey, meat, fish, nothing that comes from an animal). That is purely for ethical reasons though. In terms of fitness, I eat whatever I want that’s vegan but I track my calories and macronutrients meaning, I make sure I hit a certain number of grams of protein, carbs and fats daily. I do this for myself and coach it to my clients as well.

    So while my diet is a little more on the relaxed side, I do take my exercise program very seriously. I work out anywhere from 3-5 times a week. People assume I work out every day but recovery is just as important as working out! My days off from training are usually “active recovery” days where instead of lifting weights, I’ll go for a long walk or do animal flow.

    For those who are not into fitness, what do you recommend for them to get started and get going?

    Of course my first recommendation is to get a trainer, but I know that isn’t possible for everyone. Learning from a professional is the best way to jump start the process and on top of that,  you now have a commitment to someone else. Being self-motivated is the hardest hurdle for people to get past. It’s a lot harder to sneak your way out of your workouts when you have a trainer checking in on you. Having a professional tell you exactly what you need to do makes the process so much easier.

    The second best thing to do is get a workout buddy and set an actual schedule with that person. It’s so much more fun with a friend when you’re new to working out and maybe feel shy about trying new exercises in the gym. Plus, you also now have an obligation to another person to actually show up and work out!

    Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but have yet to find the time for it?

    Skydiving! I have a major fear of heights but I’m a total adrenaline junkie and love roller coasters. I’ve always wanted to do it but never actively pursued. Maybe I am secretly too afraid.

    Would you rather have the ability to teleport or stop time?

    I would much rather teleport! The 14 hour flight to Taiwan is brutal so teleportation would definitely come in handy!

    What is a cringey attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    It’s not even a single attempt but an approach I see a lot. When guys slide in my DM’s and say, “We should work out”. It’s literally my job. Are you asking to work with me? In which case, I expect to be paid since this is what I do for a living.

    If you’re asking for a free session, that’s also unattractive. Yes, I may be a trainer and love fitness but if that’s the only common ground you can find to connect with me on, I’ll pass.

    I define sexy as an energy more than anything. It doesn’t really matter what a person looks like, it’s a combination of their attitude, confidence, humour and how they make you feel.

    I am from Vietnam and I’m currently working as a personal trainer. My major is graphic design so I also am on my way to expand that side of me, working as a freelance graphic designer. My birthday is on 16th Sep 1998 so now I’m 21 years old. I love taking pictures of me and love showing off my confidence in front of the camera. One of the reasons for me to start going to gym is because of my dream when I was younger, I wanted to be a model for shootings, and my dream finally came true!

    What inspired you to be a model?

    I’m inspired by nothing actually, I was just taking selfie and photographers saw my pictures, they wanted to hit me up, and now I’m getting paid for modelling. Lucky me!

    Do you have a preferred side to taking selfies?

    My left side.

    Which genre of modeling is your favorite?

    Sexy – Nude – Fine art (would love to challenge myself in different styles and concepts)

    On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?

    I would say an 8.

    Are you more of a lingerie or bikini babe?

    I’m more of a bikini chick haha.

    Which is a naughty or crazy thing you have done and not regret?

    I used to have sex with 3 different guys in just one day haha, it was a great experience.

    What is a funny or lame attempt a guy has tried to know you?

    I met a lot of funny situations, it’s hard to pick one to tell. But maybe there was once a guy drove to my place at 3am and my place was like 1h15m from him, just to see me haha.

    Being sexy is what comes from inside, it’s more about attitude, energy ;). Besides training my body to be sexier, I’m also training my mind. Of course, when you have a sexy mind, you’ll know how to express a sexy figure.

    Thank you for having me here! I am a freelance personal trainer and a bikini competitor from Vancouver, BC. I started my fitness journey since 2013. Over the years I have overcame a lot of obstacles in my own fitness journey. I found my passion in competing in 2016. I enjoy the intense training and dedication from competing.

    Since then, I have been really focusing on growth and self development. Fitness has truly been the best thing that happens to me. It allows me to combine my passion and contribution. There is nothing that I love more than helping others achieving their fitness goals.

    What is your fashion style like?

    My fashion style changes from time to time. I am very adventurous when it comes to fashion. Here is a little fun fact about me, both of my parents were fashion designers when I was younger. They really inspire me to exploring different styles and trends. Anything from glamour to minimalist, I can rock it all.

    Which 3 items are most important in your wardrobe?

    Denim jacket, black leggings, and crop tank top.

    Do you follow a strict beauty regime?

    Yes I do follow a strict beauty regime especially with my makeup. I always apply my makeup following the exact same order every time. However, I am not as specific with my skin care regime.

    Is there any superstition you believe in?

    No, I don’t believe in superstitions. However, I am always open-minded. If there is any superstition that you believe, I would love to hear and learn about it.

    What is the best compliment you have received?

    The best compliment I have ever received is definitely the amount of dedication that I have when working toward my goals, which I get that quite often. To me, nothing is more valuable than hard work. I want to inspire others. Therefore, I am extremely grateful when others acknowledge my work ethic.

    Do you have any other hobbies and interests?

    Yes, I do have other hobbies and interests besides fitness. I am majoring in psychology in University. I am interested in the psychology of human behaviour. Even though I might not look like a science chick, I love to learn about neuroscience and neuropsychology. What is more fascinating than the human brain?

    What do you not get about guys?

    Don’t get me started on this. There are so many things I do not get about guys! First of all, why do guys always take so long in the toilet?

    I define “sexy” as the most beautiful form of self expression. It’s your true confidence, and being comfortable in your own skin. It a self expression that allows you being strong and vulnerable at the same time.

    Hi! I’m from Rhode Island currently working in the legal field, previously specializing in real estate and trust and estates. I have about a year left until I obtain my B. S in International Business and prospectively go to law school. I love animals, lifting weights, and sleeping!

    How would you describe your fashion style?

    I don’t necessarily have a specific style. I just wear what feels comfortable. There are occasions where I would like to look nice such as birthday parties, fancy dinners, girls’ night out, etc. But that is just once in a blue moon.

    Do you have any hobbies?

    My hobbies consist of sleeping and lifting. It’s simple and straight forward.

    Are you more of a morning person or night owl?

    I’m a night owl hands down. Mornings suck and I hate getting up to go to work. Nights are usually when I go to the gym, get my homework done, etc. I suppose, that is when my motivation sparks.

    Which food or drink can you not live without?

    I love seafood. That is something I can eat every day and not get sick of. I love getting seafood red or yellow curry and making it EXTRA spicy! Other than seafood since it is so expensive, I love traditional Lao, Thai, and Khmer food.

    Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t had the time to do so?

    I’ve also wanted to travel to Japan or Korea. I just haven’t had the time to do it yet because I’ve been so busy with school and taking care of my parents.

    If you could have a super power, what will it be?

    Teleportation. Despite being active at the gym, I am extremely lazy when it comes to simple things such as walking across the room to put my dishes away. I just leave it where it’s convenient for me to place and pick up on it when I remember…which is 50/50.

    What do you not get about guys?

    When you tell them you’re not interested but they keep trying to change your mind.

    Sexy doesn’t necessarily have to pertain how one looks. Sexy is exemplifying confident in your own skin. There is nothing sexier than being confident, headstrong, and goal driven, while staying humble.

    Handsome, with a super-fit physique and great personality, Thien Nguyen is the guy all ladies want to bring home to mom.  Winning CLEO magazine’s Bachelor of the Year 2014 has certainly thrust this Australian personal trainer into the spotlight in the past few months and we’re delighted to ask Thien a few questions to get to know him better!

    SimplySxy: Hey Thien, it’s a fantastic opportunity for us to interview you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from.

    Thien: I am Vietnamese but was born and raised in Australia. I currently live in Sydney and work as a Personal Trainer/Martial Arts instructor running my own business, Hard Personal Training at Dong Thanh Alliance Martial Arts.

    SimplySxy: Being crowned Cleo Australia’s Bachelor of the Year 2014 is a massive achievement. Has a lot changed for you since winning the title?

    Thien: It is definitely a highlight of my life! I became an ambassador for Lenovo since then and have been given opportunities with agencies to further my modelling/acting career. Other than that, I am the same person with some nicer clothes and a more trendy haircut!

    SimplySxy: You must be even more attention from the ladies. Do you get a lot of request from females requesting to be their personal trainer?

    Thien: It is funny how I got more female attention after winning Cleo Bachelor. It may have been all a co-incidence? Haha. I get a lot of request to train models/actors that want to make it in the industry. I can’t complain. Loving it!

    SimplySxy: What are some fitness tips you can share to achieve that amazing body like yours?

    Thien: Eat well and train hard. Avoid the 3 white poisons in your diet; Salt, sugar and flour. Remember, it is 80% diet and 20% training to achieve that sexy body!

    SimplySxy: Have you gotten any weird or odd requests from female fans?

    Thien: Nothing too weird, yet. A female fan offered to be my Vietnamese tutor and others just asked for a selfie because they were in love with my smile.

    SimplySxy: What type of girls are you into?

    Thien: I am attracted to girls that a down to earth, ambitious and with just the right amount of independence. Girls that enjoy adventure and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty tick my boxes.

    SimplySxy: Your idea of a romantic date?

    Thien: I envisage a candlelit dinner on a yatch or at least overlooking the city lights with a violinist playing my date her favourite song. A romantic stroll by the beach would follow ending with the two of us enjoying each others company whilst gazing at the stars. I must have seen this in a movie somewhere! lol
