Devon Diep is one multi-talented Model, Singer and Actress

Hi Devon, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions on SimplySxy. Please share with us a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hi SimplySxy, thanks for having me. I am a model, singer and actress. Born in Vietnam. Grew up in Boston, now living in NYC.

What will you say is your most memorable achievement and experience so far?

My most memorable achievement to date is seeing my original song “Green Dragon” became the theme song for Martin Scorsese executive-produced film called “Revenge of the Green Dragons.” This all happened within 4 months of pursuing my music career so it’s more than a dream come true. I will be shooting the music video for it this fall!

How is a typical day like for you?

On a typically day, I’d be modeling/acting on a job and or going to castings in the AM. In meetings or setting up meetings for my own Music/Film projects in the afternoon. Then hitting my recording sessions in the evenings. You can also count on me being on social media constantly. I love interacting with fans.

With so many things going on at once, do you have time for any hobbies and personal down time?

If you love something or someone enough, you will make time 🙂

If you did not go into a career of modeling, acting and music, what do you think you will have chosen?

Definitely a career in business/real estate. I’d loved to own a spa, a restaurant and or a no kill shelter for animals especially for cats.

Which types of lingerie can you simply live without?

If it looks hot but feels anything less than comfortable – it’s going in the trash can!

Do you have any guilty pleasures?

Hmm don’t know if I’m allowed to say this one out loud! 😉

You are currently working on your eagerly awaited debut album which I am sure your fans are looking forward to hearing. What can they expect from the album once it is released?

Yes! I’m very excited to be back in the studio and finishing up my debut album. There will be songs from Timbaland Productions as well so I can’t wait to share! Soulful + sultry tones are the roots of my music. I also love rap and good dance/pop tracks so I hope to mesh my many layers seamlessly into this album. I’m very selfish when it comes to making music since I independently fund them myself. So I know that whatever I decided to put on my album, I can be sure that fans can expect that it came from my heart 🙂

Confidence. Going after what you want and not apologizing for who you are is the epitome of “sexy” to me.

Cindy Stella Nguyen has a sweet tooth

Who is Cindy Stella Nguyen?

Hi! I was born and raised in Virginia. I moved out at the age of 19 to New York to pursue modelling. I have lived in New York for two years. So far, my career is going well, I have plans for the future in order to be more successful. I want to travel the world doing what I love!

What’s one fun fact about yourself?

One fun fact about myself… I really don’t know how to answer that question. It’s not that I don’t think I’m fun.. I just can’t quite think of one particular thing about me haha!

Craziest thing you’ve done?

I did all the crazy stuff when I was in my teens.. You know like doing anything and everything in my power to make my parents angry. Staying out late, staying up when I was suppose to be in bed, taking the car without asking, sneaking off to see boys, lying about where I was so I could go to rock concerts, dying my hair pink. Stuff like that, not sure if that’s “crazy” that sounds pretty standard for a teenager. But I haven’t done anything crazy recently! I guess moving to New York without ever being there before with $600 in my pocket is probably the craziest thing I’ve done.

Favorite drink?

Anything with sugar.

Choice between sweet, salty or a little bit of both?

When it comes to food I definitely live to eat and I also have a huge sweet tooth! So I would choose a little bit of both. Sometimes I’ll eat desert before dinner or eat something sweet while having dinner.

Which movie character best represents you?

Off the top of my head, one movie character that best represents me would be Summer (Zoey Deschanel) from “500 Days of Summer”. I think she’s perfect in her own little quirky way.

Worst rejection you’ve faced?

There have been so many rejections in my life, especially in the modelling industry. You meet so many clients everyday and of course not all of them will love you, but you hope for the best and move on. There have for sure been many rejections in my life, but I wouldn’t say that one in particular was the worst, because for me, I need that rejection to stay motivated and strong. I know that with every rejection there will be room for great opportunities in the future.

Must have in your wardrobe?

There is one piece that I love to death, I always wear it haha. It is a basic black skort from Zara, pretty much every girl in the world owns it. The skort has a distinct triangle cut, and is just lovely! I always somehow manage to get the zipper stuck after a year of wearing it, so I always have to buy a new one online or get it fixed.

What’s sexy to you?

Sexy to me means something simple. Confidence. There is nothing more sexy than someone who has confidence, they own who they are and they have no problem exhibiting their energy.

New York based fashion designer Kaitherine Chang
Kaitherine Chang’s creativity and love for fashion design knows no boundaries. Working in New York, one of the fashion capital’s of the world, has exposed Kaitherine to a variety of styles and experiences that has only served to inspire her to greater things. Hi Kaitherine, it’s a great pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Thanks for inviting me! I’m from Taiwan and I came to New York to study Fashion Design 4 years ago. Now I’m working as an assistant designer at a New York based womenswear brand. I’m also working on my own brand “ Kaitherine Chang”.

How did you begin modeling?

Actually, I’m not a real model. I’m just a girl who loves art, fashion and photography. I started to take pictures of myself in the clothes I made and designed, and people started to notice me and invited me to be in their photoshoot.

I love to participate in fashion projects, but I never consider myself to be a professional model. I actually want to be more of a fashion icon than just a model. I want to have full control of the styling process and the resulting images.

What are some of the highlights you have experienced so far?

The fact that I’m now in New York and get to be in the fashion industry is the highlight of all my experiences so far. I’ve always wanted to come to NY since I was little.

In NY, I get to meet all kinds of different people, see all kinds of different arts and fashion events. They have really inspired me a lot.

If you had the chance to change something, what will it be?

I’m happy with my life so far. I don’t want to change anything from before, but I’m always looking for a chance to improve in every way.

Name 3 quirky and fun facts about yourself
- I’m very into supernatural stuff, I like to read books and articles about hypnosis, the afterlife, and conscious/subconscious..etc.
- I don’t really own real pants. If you ever see me in pants that will only be disco pants (people consider them as leggings) or ripped jeans.
- I have weird dreams almost everyday.
Is there a secret behind your beauty regime to looking so fabulous?

I guess people usually see me through my pictures. In that case, I’ll have to say the secret are my friends. Lol..I’m crazy when it comes to taking pictures. Thanks to my friends who are so patient in helping me take good pictures! They also give me advice when it comes to fashion, make-up etc. So I guess being surrounded by good people is my secret to looking good.

Have you done anything crazy and not regret it?

When I was in Taiwan, my parents were quite strict because I’m an only child. I would rarely go out clubbing or hang out late at night. Even when I was in college back home, my mom still came to pick me up from school everyday. I used to get home no later than 11 PM.

So the craziest thing I did when I came to NYC was going out almost every night. In this city that never sleeps there are plenty of fun things to do. I think going out every night is crazy, but I made up my mind that I wanted to go out until I got sick of it. It was also the first time I went out by myself without my parents around me.

Now, I’m more calm and chill; not crazy like that anymore. I don’t regret those days though. I got to meet a lot different people, and seen enough craziness. I guess I was afraid of being alone. From this I learned a lot and now I enjoy spending time by myself.

Are you more of a lingerie or bikini girl?

I would say lingerie. I love lingerie! Wearing sexy lingerie under your clothes automatically adds sexiness to a woman’s demeanor. It’s like a naughty little secret between you and yourself.

I also like to wear some lingerie as an outfit or mix and match into my daily outfit. I feel it’s such a waste if I can’t share lingerie fashion with others.

I’m also planning on starting off my brand with a lingerie collection.

It might sound cliche, but I really think confidence is the key to being sexy.

Everyone has a different look and a sense of fashion, but once you find the one that fits you most , it can make you feel confident and good about yourself. That’s when a person is sexy.
