Hi SimplySxy, thank you so much for contacting me about this feature! I am currently an undergraduate at the University at Buffalo, majoring in Communication. I can be quite a social butterfly, so I guess studying about Communication is really apt (:
What was the experience like participating in Miss Bikini Asia Singapore and what made you do it?
Being part of the Miss Bikini Asia Singapore pageant was indeed an eye opener, and it allowed me to grow tremendously as a person. That was the first beauty pageant that I have competed in, so I was really grateful to be able to walk away with 2 titles – 1st Runner Up and Miss Flawless Skin. I guess the main reason for taking part was to challenge myself to try something new and to step out of my comfort zone; so I am thankful that my friends and family were so supportive and that my efforts paid off.
Can you share tips on your beauty regime to looking so amazing?
First off, thank you for your kind words (: I don’t have a particularly elaborate beauty regime that I follow, because I can get quite lazy if it’s too much of a hassle, but there are certain products that are a necessity for me on a daily basis – my water-based eye cream, moisturizer and bb cream.
Do you have any hobbies?
Is shopping considered a hobby? I’m just kidding! Coming from a performing arts background, I still enjoy singing and dancing a lot, even though I no longer do them competitively. Curling up at home with a good book is something that I really enjoy as well.
If you could be a cartoon character, who will you choose?
I have never really thought about this before, so…the first cartoon character that came to mind is actually Judy Hopps from the movie Zootopia. I really enjoyed that movie, and I admire how determined this bunny was. Despite her being much smaller than the other police officers, and the countless number of prejudices thrown at her, she was still ever so persistent in pursuing her dreams.
How much of a foodie are you and which are your favourites?
I wouldn’t call myself a foodie per se, but I guess who can say no to good food right? If I had to pick just one food to call my favourite, it would have to be sushi! I can have it almost everyday, without actually getting sick of it. But I do like Thai, Korean and Chinese food as well!
What’s the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to get to know you?
I think that this incident was cuter than it was funny or lame, but it was the first one that came to mind. This guy stopped me along the streets to help him out with a survey, and I agreed. So at the end of the survey, I had to leave my name and contact information down for the company. One day after I had completed that survey, I received a text from that guy saying that he sneaked my number into his phone, because he was hoping that we could be friends. Thinking back, it was a rather adorably subtle way to get a girl’s number, albeit a little creepy.
Three things you can’t leave home without?
Assuming that I put aside definitive stuff like my wallet, I wouldn’t be able to leave home without my phone, iPod, and makeup.
It’s a pleasure to feature you Stephanie. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
To me, confidence is sexy. A person can have superb makeup skills, a great taste in fashion and pull off the most sultry look behind closed doors; but without confidence, she (or he) would not be able to walk out of home with that sort of “sexy vibe” that the entire get up should exude.
