Hi Raine it is a pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hey, thanks for featuring me! I’m Raine Lee and I’ve been a Kuala Lumpur city girl all my life. I love a lot of things; music especially! I adore techno, trance, electro, punk, and rock. My passions are blogging, fashion, makeup and photography.

Being spontaneous and adventurous with my family or friends is something that excites me. After all, I believe in living life to the fullest. We would randomly say, “Let’s get outta Malaysia”, book our tickets, and fly. Or road trips, at the very least. I enjoy that! I wish to live in Japan or London someday. And I’m also an animal lover.

How will you describe your fashion style?

I don’t have a specific fashion style. It could be casual, it could be chic, it could be sexy. It could even be punk if the mood is right! All depending on the occasion or whether it’s a normal day out, or a party.

What is your secret to looking so fantastic?

I don’t think I look fantastic but thank you! I guess it’s just by being myself and not caring what other people think or say. I get attacked online a lot but I’ve learned to see past them all and focus on the things that I love and care about. I stay true to who I am and it makes me happier that way.

Do you have a preferred side when taking selfies?

I’m alright with both sides but there were times when I preferred my left during bad-selfie-days. I somehow strangely felt it was my “better side”.

Can you tell us the story behind one of your tattoos?

I’ve got 7 tattoos up to date. My first tattoo was done when I was 18. The one that carries the most meaning to me are my Roman numerals above my right collarbone. It’s the X·III·LXII which represents my mom’s birth date. I did it simply because I love her and I truly respect her for being such a strong superwoman. Besides, I love tattoos. That’s just me.

If you could choose to learn anything in this world, what will it be?

The piano or the guitar, definitely. I should really find some time for that. Or numerous foreign languages!

Which is the funniest or embarrassing moment that you have experienced?

As cliche as this might sound, it’d be getting period stains on my white school uniform back when I was in high school. Then I’d have to walk awkwardly to the public telephone, call home and skip the rest of the classes entirely.

How will you describe an ideal first date?

I’m a hopeless romantic, so an ideal first date for me would be something kinda old school like a romantic candlelight dinner in a restaurant with a skyrise view or by the beach. Roses would be a plus. If you don’t know yet, I’m a sucker for roses.

Being strong, confident and real. There’s nothing sexier than a person who has drive in them — a person who sets goals in order to better themselves or the world. Someone who doesn’t give up and who is humble and down to earth despite their accomplishments. A person who is not afraid to be themselves and stay positive despite their flaws is what I define “sexy” too.

Malaysia DJ And Model Vera C

Hi DJ Vera, it’s a great pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with us a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hi, I am DJ Vera C from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I’ve been a DJ for five years and also the founder of Malaysia’s first female DJ group, Jewel Union. Being a DJ has always been my dream, music is my passion, something that I can’t leave without in my life.

How did your interest in being a DJ develop?

As I mentioned earlier, I love music and it has always been my dream to become a DJ however 5 years ago female DJ wasn’t as popular as now, most DJs are male, so I wanted to break the tradition as I want to prove that female DJs are also able to spin, so I formed the first Female DJ Group in Malaysia, and I named it Jewel Union. I was their manager as well as a Jewel Union member and that’s how I started my DJ career.

Who are your major influences?

Tiesto, he is also one of the reasons that I wanted to become a DJ, I still remember I went to a rave and when Tiesto spun everyone including me was crazy dancing, and since then I started to have interested to become a DJ.

You model as well and came in first runner up in the Miss World Malaysia. How is modeling different from being a DJ?

Well, being as a model is totally different from being a DJ. As a model you need to collaborate with a lot of people, such as designers, make up artists, hair stylists and etc, however you normally don’t have to worry about the crowd, you just need to do your best, present the best of yourself in front of the crowd. However being a DJ, you are the main core in the club, you need to see and feel the crowd, you need to know what they like, what type of songs will make them dance. You are the main control of everything in the club, how you spin is how you influence them, and most of the time you are on your own, you need to think how to hype the crowd up.

What keeps you motivated everyday?

Passion, I always tell myself not to lose passion, passion is what keeps me moving and push me getting better day by day. Always remember the reasons why I love being DJ and that motivates me everyday.

Do you have any other hobbies?

Other than music, I love diving too, I have been diving for 7 years, if I wasn’t a DJ I think I would become a diving instructor, *wink*

If you had the chance to collaborate with anyone past or present, who will it be?

It has always been my dream of spinning in IBIZA with tiesto.

Where will we be able to catch you in the coming months?

I will be spinning in velvet on next Thursday 17/3/2016, however if you miss that out you may catch me at Zion Club KL, gonna stay tuned, I will announce the date on my FB page, DJ Vera C.

SEXY to me is confident, a lot of people misunderstand about sexy by wearing less clothes, but to me the way you present yourself, a girl that puts her heels up and walk confidently, showing people that she knows herself well, she loves herself and appreciate her self-values, that’s what I call sexy.

Who is Jasmine Kho?

Hello to all SimplySxy reader. I am Jasmine Kho, a model, actress, and online personality based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I love to travel and everything about fashion.

What do you enjoy most being an actress?

I get to act in many different characters and roles that I might not in reality; it is challenging and fun.

As 2015 is coming to a close, what are some memorable highlights do you have for this year?

It is fulfilling my yearly revolutions and getting them accomplished. I have visited the most beautiful city in the world – Paris. Also doing charity to helping those less fortunate is memorable for me too.

How will you describe your fashion style?

Less is more. I like simple and comfortable.

Best compliment you have received?

“You are beautiful just the way you are” and “Hey I really like your personality! ;)” I am happy and appreciate compliments like this. I think being myself and beautiful sometimes is not about how much make up you put on and what you carry.

Which items in your wardrobe can you not live without?

The maxi dress, jeans and comfortable t-shirts!

If you could play any cartoon character, which will it be?

Totally spies – my childhood favorite cartoon show.

How will you describe your idea romantic date?

Walking on the white beach together and fly a kite (sounds old fashioned hahaha). Get him to apply sunscreen onto my back later in the day. And later in the evening, looking at the stars and talking about our dreams.

Sexiness is a state of mind. Woman are sexy when they are confident from the inside out. Sometimes, I think woman are sexy when they are fearless and follow their passion.

Who is Amanda Liu?

I’m from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian and I m a 23 year old girl who is working as a Fashion Buyer at Zalora MY.

How will you describe your fashion style?

I would say my style is pretty minimalist , monochrome and edgy yet chic.

What’s the sexiest thing in your wardrobe?

I would probably say the lace bralet from The Scarlet Room.

Which colours suit you best?

Black , White , Grey , Red , Burgundy.

What’s one overrated fashion accessory?

I would say sunglasses and watches but they are incredibly essential.

Give one example of a fashion disaster you have laid your eyes on.

Long asymmetrical black dress with green croc shoes. SO BAD!

How often do you shop for new clothes?

Twice a month or sometime once a month.

Which are your favourite fashion brands?

ZARA , Zalora (not because I work here, but because they do cater to what girls like) , H&M , Eightslate , Dotti etc.

If you had the chance to learn anything in this world, what will it be?

All the languages in the world.

I like little ponnies a lot.

Model L’oreal Mok and Miss World Malaysia 2013 first runner-up has a huge love for sneakers!

Who is L’oreal Mok?

Hello! Thank you for having me on board! Well, let’s start off with the basic. My name is L’oreal and yes, that’s my real name given by my parents just in case you are wondering. I am a mass-communication graduate but working in a totally different field which is modeling. I love singing while driving and am an adrenaline junkie! Oh, did I mention that I am from Kuala Lumpur?

How was the experience like participating in Miss World Malaysia 2013 and coming in first runner up?

Oh my, the experience is inexpressible! During my days for Miss World Malaysia 2013, I met new friends, had to face different challenges everyday which helped me grow as a person. Staying with 20 girls under one roof, to be honest, I thought it will not be easy, I was in fact expecting cat fights (Laughs) but it never happened and some of us actually became really close even after the pageant.

The First Runner-Up of Miss World Malaysia came in at a surprise. When they finally announced the top 2, I was in a state of shock and I remembered saying it to myself , “Oh my god, this is for real?” (Laughs). Well, even after being crowned, I still work very closely with the franchisee owner of Miss World Malaysia as an official catwalk instructor/choreographer.

Have you always wanted to be a model when you were growing up as a child?

No, I’ve never thought of being a model when I was younger because I used to be really chubby. But hey, I took up a bet and a chance at it when I was 20 and I’ve never looked back since.

What do you enjoy most about being a model?

It’s always different, challenging and never boring.

What fashion accessories do you splurge on and save on?

The only fashion accessories I splurge on are my sneakers, I really do love them, especially my Nikes. I know it’s not very girly-like, but I just love the way they look. I may have a sneaker fetish, I can’t stop collecting them.

Save on? I’ll let you know again (laughs).

Which song will you say best describes you?

It really depends on how I am feeling because I like connecting my emotions with music. For now, my current favorite song “Gooey” by Glass Animals.

Do you believe in destiny, fate or free will?

I’ve always believed that the greatest gift in life is free will. The ability to make decisions and carve out your own path. Life is short, so make every moment yours to decide.

If you had the chance to play a cartoon character, who will it be?

I would love to play Bubbles from Power Puff Girls. Simply because I think my character is more like Buttercup which is more tomboy-ish. So I would like try something totally opposite and I think Bubbles is perfect because she’s a girly-girl.

What freaks Lara Woon out more than cockroaches?

Hi Lara, it’s a great pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hi, my name is Lara Woon, 21 this year, from KL. Currently studying my Bachelor of Degree in Finance in Utar, Kampar. I am a student, blogger, pianist and freelancer. Love singing, playing the piano, travelling and having adventures. I blog about fashion, beauty tips, lifestyle and food.

Can you tell us 3 fun facts about yourself?

1) I am freaking scared of cats instead of cockroaches.

2) I am a laugh-er. I can laugh very loudly and easily, totally with no image at all. (oppsss) 😛

3) I can also cry very very easily, super duper easily.

Do you have a fitness regime to staying in such fabulous shape?

I am starting to do workouts and go to the gym regularly now. I stopped going for almost one year and then I found a few friends together to go with me. So yeah! My motivation is back! 🙂

If you could play any movie character, who will you be?

I would like to be “Joy” in “Inside Out”. Because Joy brings laughter and she tries very hard to make Riley smile! She tries her best to activate back all the memories and the damaged islands! I love to bring laughter to everybody too! (peace)

What is the craziest thing you have ever done and not regret?

Craziest thing I have ever done is attending PLKN. PLKN is the ever craziest place and thing that I have gone and challenged before. I laughed, cried, fell, and miss it. I will never regret although I got hurt and sprained my leg badly, got bitten by some insects that made my hands and legs get covered all over with serious scars. It heals only after 2 years. Anyway, it’s the craziest experience and I don’t regret it at all I would say 🙂

Do you have any hobbies?

Yes. I love to play the piano. Piano is my first hobby on my list. I do love singing all day long in the k-box room. Seeking adventures is one of my other hobbies too! Sky diving is on my to-do-list!!

Another one is anything about fashion! I flip through fashion magazines every month and update my wardrobe. I follow trends that suit me 😛

Which is your favourite body part?

I love my body, but my favourite part are my legs. I would say my legs are the nicest part of all!

If you had the opportunity to do or learn anything in this world, what will it be?

I would like to learn to fly an airplane. Because I love travelling, so if I have the opportunity to learn, I can go any place I would like to go.
