What You Should and Shouldn’t Put Into Your Vagina

Is putting food into one’s vagina (e.g. cucumbers, bananas) safe even if they have been washed?

This is a great question since putting things in a vagina can potentially mess with the vagina’s pH balance and irritate/injure the skin, which can then lead to various bacterial and yeast infections. The acidity in some foods used in sexual play is a common cause for these types of infections.

Solid foods like a cucumber and a banana (with peel intact) are safer as they are less likely to be pushed too far up to reach with a finger or hand or to be forgotten. However, even foods like these that have been washed and scrubbed clean still carry some bacteria, so you are never “completely safe” from potential infection.

Some people may use food or other household objects for sexual pleasure because they do not have access to or are embarrassed to purchase a sex toy. But with several terrific companies out there selling ethically-made, body-safe toys that you can purchase discretely online, the choice between overcoming some personal nervousness and a potential visit to the emergency room where you attempt to make up some story about how you “fell while preparing a salad” is easy to make.

For those who specifically enjoy “playing with produce” because it turns them or their partner on, acknowledge the potential risk, clean the item and check for any rough edges or anything that could tear or scratch, and put a condom (or two) on the cucumber!

Beauty baker Erika shares her wonderful desserts

SimplySxy catches up with Erika as we ask this lovely baker on her favourite creations, dessert inspirations and how her love for baking began.

Hi Erika, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions on SimplySxy. Please share with us a little about yourself and where you’re from?

Hi! I’m a baking blogger from Singapore who creates unique desserts. I share the recipes on www.sumopocky.com. Baking is my therapy and I find peace one recipe at a time. If you are a visual creature, then check out my YouTube for baking videos! For more of my bakes and behind-the-scenes shots, you can also view my Instagram and Facebook.

Was it tough at the beginning when you started baking for the first time or did it come naturally to you?

I embarked on this baking journey by learning how to make macarons. It was an ambitious choice of dessert for a beginner with close to zero experience. While I had to go through multiple batches of failed macarons, my first successful batch marked the launch of my baking endeavours.

In retrospect, the failures were beneficial in setting my foundations of basic baking techniques. From then on, it was much easier to approach other recipes. Over time, I’ve become more adventurous in trying out or creating new recipes. Now and then, I still experience failures in the kitchen. But that is fine! It is part and parcel and helps me to grow as a baker.

Who gets to try and critique your desserts when you first make them?

My friends and family are often the first to get a taste of my desserts. Based on their highly valued feedback, improvements are made to each recipe before it is published on Sumopocky. P.S. They are also kind enough to devour my less than pretty failed desserts, because ugly desserts need loving too!

Where do you get your inspiration behind all those beautiful desserts?

Inspiration comes from a non-exhaustive list of sources – from fellow bakers online, to gourmet magazines, to trips to bakeries and patisseries. Sometimes, inspiration strikes from the most unexpected places such as nature, the city skyline, a piece of art, a beautiful film, or even a well-written novel.

Which are 3 of your all time proudest creations?

The top 3 of my all time favourite original creations have to be my Totoro Black Sesame Chiffon Cake, Alpaca Macarons and Tsum Tsum Mooncakes. I love how unique and adorable they are, and most importantly, their tastes leave me craving for more!

    6

Do you have any other hobbies?

When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m knee deep in thought-provoking novels and films. I spend hours wandering in the fictional universes created by my favourite author, Haruki Murakami. Films by brilliant directors from the likes of Michel Gondry and Wes Anderson also keep me hooked to the screen. And whenever a book or film impacts me deeply, I have the natural compulsion to share my book and movie reviews on Sumopocky.

What guilty pleasures do you have for food?

I cannot resist desserts with dark chocolate, cheese, matcha green tea and berries. My guilty pleasures include macarons, lava cakes, cheesecakes, tiramisu, and probably any Japanese dessert.

If you had the chance to meet anyone past or present, who will it be?

I will like to meet Haruki Murakami. From his books, he appears to be such a chill yet knowledgeable and opinionated guy. Thus, it’d be nice to spend a day chilling with him and having conversations about anything under the umbrella of life.

It’s a great pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy, Erika. Before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

To me, sexiness is about exuding confidence, having passion or goals in life, standing by one’s morals, and bearing a healthy degree of selflessness.

  • Linda Ng, the pretty food and beauty blogger from Singapore

Linda Ng, the pretty food and beauty blogger from Singapore

    Who is Linda Ng?

Aloha! I’m Linda. 25 years old. A food and beauty blogger from Singapore.

How will you describe your fashion style?

Smart casual. I’m cool with just singlet and shorts for the whole week. Or probably a body on dress. (Of course not the same top and bottom!)

What’s the sexiest thing in your wardrobe?

I believe almost everything is nothing near to sexy. It’s the person who wears it that makes it sexy? Haha!

    IMG_4535

    Where do you usually shop?

I usually shop online or have second hand items passed down from my other two pretty sisters. (Sad to be the last child too)

What’s the most expensive item you have splurged on?

My phone. Yes. Am not somebody who would throw my money on branded stuffs though.

Do you have the urge to critic someone’s dress style if you see that it is a fashion catastrophe?

Yes. If it’s hilariously matched. I mean, who doesn’t judge when they see a walking disaster. Even my mum would pass bad criticisms.

    IMG_0011

If you had the choice of any superpower, what will it be and why?

To be able to read people’s minds? People these days are so conscious about the way they speak. Straight forward people do not seem to exist anymore.

Which cartoon character best represents you?

Opposite of Winnie the pooh. I’m a man living in a woman’s shell.

What guilty indulgences do you have for food?

I love fried chicken, durian and basically food.

    IMG_4536

    Naughtiest thing you’ve done?

Not the sexy kind of naughty though. But I’ve been cheeky most of the time.

One of it was, I tactically placed a fake lizard to scare everybody in my family. One of them fell off their chair and the other threw his phone away.

    What’s sexy to you?

Curves. I really think having a fleshy body is extremely sexy compared to skinny to bone ones. Of course, fleshy does not mean obese.
