Hello SimplySxy, my names’ Cindy, my mother is from Shanghai and father is from Hong Kong, and I grew up in London.
I’ve recently graduated in Engineering and currently working on my first jewellery collection (PlumeLdn.com).
How will you describe your fashion style?
I would describe my fashion style as quite simple, no more than 2-3 colours, beautiful but minimal jewelries and slim fit. If I’m in a monochromatic outfit, it would most likely be black.
What is your most memorable life experience so far?
My most memorable life experience so far was back when I was 15, I performed Capricho Arabe (Classical Guitar) during the Christmas music festival in school and was able to fully lose myself, that feeling was unforgettable.
Do you have any favorite quotes you use for inspiration?
“If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don’t have integrity, nothing else matters” – Alan Simpson
Not sure if the next one is a quote, however:
“Money can’t buy: morals, manners, respect, character, common sense, trust, patience, class, integrity and love.”
Is there a food or drink you can’t get enough of?
I love watermelons and seafood. Drink wise, tea, simple English breakfast tea – throughout the day.
If you can have a superpower, what will it be?
Allowing people to see themselves in third person.
Have you ever been in a funny or embarrassing situation before?
I pronounced ‘baubles’ as ‘babbles?’ in front of a year 8 class. Lets just say it took them a while to settle down after that incident.
Did you have a bad date experience before?
Probably not the worse out there, but this was my experience.
Long story short, I met this guy in Uni and this was our conversation:
Setting the scene: walking to a pub
Guy: “You’re quite tall for an Asian”
Me: “I’m 1.70m.”
Guy: “You must be studying either, Art, finance or medicine”
Me: I’m studying Mechanical Engineering
Guy: “I don’t believe you, you don’t look like someone who studies Engineering”
Me: “Well, I’m studying Engineering, surprise”
Guy: “I don’t believe you”
Me: Believe what you want
5 mins later…
Me: “I got a tummy ache, I’m gonna go home, sorry”
