I’m really please to share a bit about myself with your readers. I have been born and raised in Paris, France!

How did you get into modeling and what do you enjoy about it?
Modeling was first because I needed to explore myself and my own femininity at a time where I wasn’t confident. It became a passion and also a way to express myself because it’s really about acting in front of the camera and I like it.
Was Burlesque easy to pick up with your ballet dancing experience?
Actually it wasn’t! I had quit dancing for a while (10 years ago) when I met the Burlesque world in Sydney. At that time I was taking step by step to come back to enjoy dancing after 10 years of doing something else and Burlesque dancing has been a revelation for me!
However my body condition was terribly bad so it’s was technically hard and it’s also about sharing a story and to be able to be proud of your body on stage which is very scary.

What can someone who has never attended a Burlesque or cabaret show expect from their first experience?
Honestly, I will say, “be prepared for everything, because anything can happen!”
This is the beauty of burlesque!
Which 3 fun things do you enjoy doing most in Paris?
Well I don’t think I’m a reference because I’m pretty traditional and I enjoy traditional institutions in Paris, so my top 3 will be to:
- Grab a ticket to watch a ballet to the Opera de Paris,
- Another one to “la Comédie Francaise”
- Go up onto the last floor of “Les Galeries Lafayette “ to have a cup of tea and admire the roofs of Paris!
If you could change or improve one thing about the world, what will it be?
Gosh… There are so many things that we can improve in our world but if I have to choose, I will choose to improve the conditions of women all over the world.
Because I feel closely (obviously I’m a woman) about this and this is unacceptable that in our time, men and women don’t have the same statutes and the same chances in life because of our sexes.

Would you rather invent a new gadget or discover a new species?
I want to definitely discover a new species!! Some species die because of climate change but I’m sure some new ones are born as well! And it will give a bit of hope and happiness to people I think.
Does chivalry still exist today?
It never went away, it just took a different form. And in my opinion, it’s a good thing because we have change the codes between men and women (yes again) and chivalry was so redactor for woman.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Perline. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
There is nothing more sexy than a man or a woman who is confident and proud of themselves and their body.
Be sexy…

es in the class were of all ages, body shapes, and creed. We were all feeling the same, not sure what to expect in our first class, but we all got on really well and supported each other. The teacher was fully dressed in her burlesque outfit and looked stunning. She not only inspired me but her class was making me rediscover my body confidence and how to move in a sexual and powerful way.
by and I received a letter inviting me to the live auditions in Birmingham to striptease in front of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan. The Alexandra Palace held an audience of 2,500 people. The last time I danced in front of an audience of this size was when I was competing for the World Disco Dance Champion. Ant and Dec were in the wings with me, and wished me luck as I walked on the stage. All I could concentrate on was the judges. The judges had their questions for me and wished me well with my audition. The music started and I was so nervous, but I thought this is it: the last chance to dance again. Adrenaline was pumping through my veins, I felt sexy, in control and powerful. I had not felt this way since I was in my early 20s. Before I knew it, one of my nipple tassels flew off, so I threw it to Simon Cowell, hoping he would laugh but at the end of my act, he came up on stage and placed my tassel back on my breast for me, that made my day! I was so lucky, I made it to the semi-finals and danced to my favourite 80s track Flashdance … What a Feeling.
lesque legend from the US known as “Satan’s Angel”. She too, has taken me under her wing. I’m very excited to be competing in the Neo Burlesque Awards on 20 November 2014 at Madame Jo Jo’s, Soho, London. In addition, I have entered myself in the Miss Pinup UK 2014, which is a modelling competition. I love burlesque because I am my own choreographer, costume designer, hair and makeup stylist. I am in control of my act, no one can put their hands on my body as my body is my art. Any women out there reading this article, if you are thinking about trying a burlesque class, I’d say ” GO FOR IT”.
