Catch The Travel Bug With Victoria Tennant
Hi everyone! My name is Victoria and I am originally from Sacramento, Ca but I grew up living in different countries in Asia. So, in 6th grade I moved to Beijing, then Hong Kong, then finally to Taipei where I graduated high school. I absolutely love to travel, and my perspective has totally changed. I am currently a marketing student at San Diego State!
What is your fashion style like?
Very comfortable and casual! I love wearing neutrals and basics, along with some fun shoes. I love white sneakers. My go to are t-shirt dresses, anything high waisted with a crop top, or a romper (because you only have to pick out one thing.)
On a scale of 1-10, how much of a party animal are you?
I would say 5. I defiantly go through phases, and I love to go out some nights, but others I love to stay in with a movie. I think it is fun to go out, but it is not the most productive. I am really trying to start of few of my own businesses, so currently I have a date with my laptop about every night!
Do you have any favorite motto or quotes you like to use?
I always try to live in the moment. And I think it’s important to always do the very best you can. I think if you always put 100% in then you won’t have any regrets. I know those sound super cheesy but they are true. Currently, there are so many ways to compare yourself to others on Instagram or whatever, but remember it is not real. Sometimes, I’ll delete social media for a few days and just focus on myself and the people in my life. Comparison is really the thief of joy!
Have you been in an embarrassing situation that is funny now?
There are actually so many! I’m the clumsiest person ever – in high school the superlative I won was most accident prone.
Which was the last movie you caught and was it any good?
Actually, there is. I just came back from Taiwan, and on that horrible 12-hour plane ride I watched Molly’s game. I’m not really a movie person, but this movie was amazing. It was such a fast-paced incredible story. As soon as I got home I told my mom about it and she also became obsessed with it!
How do you usually like to spend your free time?
I love the gym. Currently I have been weight training, which is amazing because you can really see and feel results. I love yoga, meditation, as well as reading. Also, if I’m in San Diego the beach is the best. If I need to get work done, I love to go to a coffee shop and bring a laptop. Currently addicted to iced caramel lattes!
What is the funniest or lamest attempt a guy has tried to know you?
The Instagram Dm’s are the absolute worst. I really think the internet makes it so easy, because I know guys wouldn’t be this ridiculous in person. Here’s one that actually caught my attention!
Guy: Hey, you know who you look like?
Me: Who?
Guy: My future girlfriend.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Victoria. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexy = Confidence. It’s as simple as that. As girls, we have to compare ourselves to unrealistic images the media portrays, which is really unfair. When it comes down to it, guys don’t expect us to look like that. Every girl has her insecurities, but you just have to learn to accept them. The gym has helped me in my confidence a ton! Even though I look pretty similar, I feel 10 times better which is everything.
