NYC Model Melissa Marie

I am so grateful to be featured on SimplySxy! My name is Melissa Marie or Mely B! 26 years old, I am 100% Puerto Rican, however, I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York my entire life. Anybody who knows me knows I am absolutely obsessed with modeling, animals, and being around beautiful cars!

How did you get started into modeling?

I got into modeling because of two friends of mine, they were gifted cameras for Christmas and their birthdays and wanted to use me as their muse. At first I was hesitant because I thought I would hate being in front of the camera. I was so shy but once we got started, I fell in love and knew this is something that I should have already been doing!

What do you love most about being a model?

I love being a model for so many reasons but mostly because it helps to build my confidence so much. I remember a time where I was super shy, all I could do was take pictures in front of a mirror in my room alone but now I am posing and taking pictures in front of hundreds of people and it makes me feel so beautiful and empowered.

Do you have a beauty regime to look so gorgeous?

My beauty regime is super simple. I really do not like to do much, just make sure I always wash my make up off completely and use a hydrating face mask once a week and always keep my body and face moisturized!

If you could time travel, where will you go?

If I could time travel I would definitely love to travel back to the late 60s/70s when my mother was born because I’d love to see what types of things she did and how she dressed. I think I’d definitely be most intrigued by the fashion!

What is the best compliment you have received?

The best compliments I receive will always be compliments about who I am as a person, a compliment about my laugh, or my personality always means more than compliments about my appearance.

Where can we catch you partying on weekends?

On weekends I actually don’t party much at all! If you asked me this question a few years ago, I’d be naming all the hot spots. However nowadays, I’m more of a home body especially during colder months, there’s nothing like being home under the covers watching one of my favorite movies or cuddling with my pup!

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Melissa. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”? 

The definition of sexy to me is CONFIDENCE! Being comfortable in the skin you’re in, and always keeping a positive humble attitude because no matter how good you look, being humble is the sexiest feature anyone can have.
