LA YouTuber & Influencer Ruslana Gee

I grew up in Azerbaijan, which is a lovely country located near Russia and Turkey, so besides my mother language, I speak both Russian and Turkish. When I was 17 I moved to Istanbul to study film and TV, but after two years I decided to transfer to Los Angeles, where I started my fashion career. I love styling outfits and recording videos on my YouTube channels on my free time. It’s not only part of my work but also something I really enjoy.

What is your fashion style like?

My style is currently very feminine, minimalistic and sometimes classy. I do like to switch it up every now and then, so I have no idea how long it will stay like that. I like to experiment!

Do you have any hobbies or interests?

I love watching movies, directing and writing my own scripts. Anything connected to cinema industry actually. Maybe someday I’ll switch my focus from fashion to film.

Is there any food or drink you don’t ever take?

I’m not a huge fan of fast food, I probably would never eat McDonald’s. I’m also not into cakes or cupcakes, they are too sweet for my taste.

What is the best compliment you have received?

People told me a few times that I have a spectacular ability to create and see beauty, which is a great compliment because it feels good when people recognize your talents, it means to me much more than compliments to my appearance for instance.

If you could learn anything in this world, what will it be?

I would really want to learn how to drive! Haha, I know it sounds super easy, but not for me, Trust me, I tried.

What do you not get about guys?

So many things! I really wish I could understand them better. Of course every individual is different, but often I meet guys that are very distant and bad at communicating, it’s so difficult to understand how they feel or what they want, because they never share.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Ruslana. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

Being sexy for me is the equivalent of being free. For some reason in my past, I viewed it as something shameful or something I should always avoid expressing. I’m happy that now that I’m older and wiser I can accept that side of me, it brings harmony to my mind and body. It’s just part of human nature, nothing to be ashamed about.
