I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
What is your proudest achievement so far?
My acting career thus far, has been very rewarding. In a very short period of time I have landed some pretty cool roles. Some of the brands I have worked with are Spectrum Mobile, Crown Royal, Heineken, Holiday Inn, Butterball and more. I have also been in some really amazing music videos both local and international artists. Some artists you may have heard of are Ozuna, Sean Paul, Mr.Vegas, Lil Berete, Nanna Goodie, Nikki Yanofsky, Shawnee and more.
How will you describe your fashion style?
My style is very androgynous, you can often catch me out in public in a combination of women and men’s attire. I usually go for a fitted top with baggy pants or a baggy top with fitted pants. Of course there’s always an exception to the rule. My style essence is very much a reflection of me as a person which is extremely eclectic.
I am somewhere along the lines of tomboy meets corporate boss lady, meets 80’s hip hop dancer, meets fitness model, meets chic diva, meets punk rock, meets the occasional emo kid all in one. My fashion heavily depends on how I feel in the morning or where I am making an appearance.
Do you have any favorite quotes or mottos you like to use in life?
“Try not to become a person of success rather become a person of value”
If you could change one thing about the world, what will it be?
To solve world hunger and world peace. Just seemed like the perfect answer, no wonder it sounds so familiar. Honestly, I truly believe that if every person tried to be the best version of themselves and constantly worked towards personal growth, unity and contribution the world would naturally be a better place.
Which was the last movie you watched and was it good?
The last movie I watched was called “Beats.” It was about a kid in highschool who’s sister was shot dead in front of him. As a result of her murder he develops mental health issues and cannot leave his house. Since he is in his house all day, he learns to produce really good beats and his music gets noticed. The rest you will have to watch, but it was really good!
How do you like to spend your free time?
I really love watching movies and T.V. series. I have always bonded with family and loved ones by watching movies and shows together. Which probably has a little to do with my career choice.
What is a lame or funny attempt a guy has tried to know you?
“I lost my phone, can I use yours to call it?” Pretty clever but also funny if it were true. I would probably say yeah right buddy, nice try, let me check your pockets.
Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Chyann. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?
Sexy to me, is whatever YOU want it to be. It can be the way someone looks at you, the way they smell, the way they talk, the way they hold their head at a certain angle. I don’t think sexy can be defined other than “I really like that shit.”
