Dancer & Suicide Girl Hopeful Fernanda

I’m a Latin professional dancer and hopeful Suicide Girl who loves punk rock music and ballet. I currently live in Santiago of Chile.

What is your fashion style like?

I feel totally represented by the punk style and also love to wear the classic pin up look mixed up with some urban garments. I think my style is very puzzling for people because I’m a dancer with a mohawk and I dress unconventionally for the common dancers that tend to be like a blank canvas regarding style.

Do you have any hobbies or interests?

Yes. Apart from dancing, which is what I do professionally, I practice yoga and pilates as a hobby. I really like sports in general because I feel like it’s a great way to get involved with your body, recently I started taking boxing classes too.

How do you like to spend your weekends?

On weekends I really like to hang out with my friends, go to concerts and support local bands. Also love to be in bed all day, and watch cheesy movies on Sundays.

If you could drop everything and go on a road trip, where will you go?

Here in Chile, we have the Carretera Austral, which is a road with more than 745 miles that runs through the southern end of the country and on its way there are beautiful landscapes that connect you in depth with nature. Without a doubt, it is the perfect place for a road trip like this.

What is the best compliment you have received?

I really enjoy when people compliment my artistry. I remember one time after a performance, someone from the audience came to tell me that my dancing had moved and amazed him. That’s by far the best compliment I have received.

Which flavor best describes you?

I think I’m like Teriyaki sauce. I always believed that I have a bittersweet personality, like “I’m so nice to you, but I won’t doubt to put you in your place”, but deep inside I’m good.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions Fernanda. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”?

I think today being sexy is a matter of attitude. We live in a world that is constantly labelling us in what we can be according to what they believe beauty is. And the truth being told, when you stop listening to the world and start being able to love yourself and embracing who you are, is when you’re gonna feel sexy no matter what other people say. The most powerful secret behind being sexy and being beautiful is being confident.
