I’m proud to say I played Wonder Woman in the XXX version of Batman vs. Superman by porn parody director Axel Braun and it was amazing. Not only did I have the chance to dress up as my favorite superhero, but I also got the chance to have sex with Batman AND Superman, and wait for it — AT THE SAME TIME. Though I didn’t get to bring anyone to their knees with my Lasso of Truth, and I didn’t get the chance to deflect bullets with my wrist cuffs, I did get to break up an argument between the legendary rival superheroes, which ended very well for all involved, especially me.
So of course, you can imagine, I was very excited when I heard there was a mainstream blockbuster Wonder Woman movie coming out, but I admit, I was disappointed when the news was released that Gal Gadot had been selected to play Wonder Woman. The Princess of Amazons is supposed to be strong and bold and well, Amazonian, which means tall, voluptuous, curvy and all that good stuff.
For me, being tall and thick wasn’t always my favorite. At one point when I was a teenager I really wanted to be tiny and because of that, I had horrible posture when I was in middle and high school due to the fact I would always slouch trying to fit in. It wasn’t until I started getting into competitive in sports that I started to embrace my height, and once I started to embrace it, it became a feeling that was forever growing and evolving. And that is something I try to share with the girls that I train as a fitness and yoga instructor. As soon as you embrace your body and your strength, it will flourish. You can’t create something amazing from a place of hatred and shame. It’s wonderful to see women embracing themselves and their strength more and more these days.
Though I thought the role would have been better suited for someone else, it was hard trying to pick a different actress for the role of Diana. I think Gal Gadot is absolutely, stunning and now that I’ve seen her in the role of Wonder Woman, it’s hard to picture someone else (Great job Warner Bros). But I do think a lesser known actress like say, Taylor Cole would have done well. Cole was on the TV show Heroes and I might be biased though considering she, like me, has a volleyball background.
I am so happy to report that I was wrong. (And that’s not very often because women are never wrong). Not only did Gal Gadot do a wonderful job of bringing Wonder Woman to life, she did it in a strong and sexy way. I loved the fight scenes in the movie, I felt they were done very well. It was awesome to watch a bunch of women kick some ass. Strength is what really made me fall in love with Wonder Woman to begin with. Being a strong woman and standing at 6 feet tall myself, I can truly relate to the whole Amazonian persona.
The seemingly innocent sexual chemistry between Diana and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved that the focus of the movie stayed on her and her mission to end the war, and that their romance did not end up taking over the plot which I felt was really, well played. But I was lusting for them to get it on, and then I had to remind myself it wasn’t that kind of movie (Oh yeah, I starred in that version).
All in all, I am happy with Wonder Woman, I thought it was great, and I will watch it again. Gal Gadot did a wonderful job of bringing the Amazonian Princess to the big screen with grace, beauty and a fantastic right hook.
