Sex Ed
Girl-On-Girl Experiences & Pornography
I’ve always seen sex as a wonderful form of expression and way to connect to myself and others. Sex is the fundamental reason we are here and it plays an important role in religion, law and politics, shaping our society and values. Not to mention that the fight for equality is often parallel with sexual liberation. It is a topic that never runs dry for there are always new fascinating things to discover which is what sparked my interest in adult entertainment.
Naughty by nature, I followed my dreams and since 2012, I’ve worked on various projects within the industry from night time television channels in the UK to appearing in top-shelf magazines and filming content for adult, glamour and fetish websites before launching my own. Throughout this work, especially on my webcam shows and phone chat, I’ve gotten to explore many interesting aspects of sex that were foreign to me before and not only pleased others but also made discoveries about my own sexual desires. So far my work in adult entertainment has fallen under the categories solo and the ever so popular, girl-on-girl.
Pornography (laws of demand and supply)
Girl-on-girl erotica has been gaining popularity in recent years, not only in pornography but also in mainstream media with female celebrities appearing sexual and provocative towards each other and TV programs portraying lesbian acts to boost their viewings. But why does lesbian sex sell and why is girl-on-girl porn so popular amongst men? Well the question answers itself, that the media produces girl-on-girl action most often for male viewers. Most girl-on-girl pornography centers around male pleasure where he can imagine himself in the middle of the action without feeling threatened by the presence of a male who, more often than not, will surpass his size, stamina or overall appearance.
The “pornstar” stereotype of a young, handsome and well-endowed man is likely to cause the insecurities that make suburban housewives bulk buy diet solutions and skin care items after flicking through glossy magazines. Throughout history, men have competed amongst themselves for sexual attention from females and in girl-on-girl porn, the fantasy that the viewer is desired by both women is often portrayed which may give him a socially influenced sense of supremacy. Another factor that makes girl on girl porn so appealing to male sexual appetite is its appreciation for the female form and the female nude, after all, studies do suggest that men are greatly aroused by visual stimuli.
Sexual liberation allows us to experiment and discover, pornography may spark that desire
The social stigma surrounding pornography is profoundly associated with boy/girl scenes so when I first experimented with looking at porn, I chose to watch girl-on-girl and looked at female nudes in magazines. Nowadays there is no denying that women do watch porn and girl-on-girl seems to be popular amongst the ladies, even those who identify as heterosexual. After all, most heterosexual porn is made for male viewers so the male is hardly the focus of attention and the sexual acts performed are rarely relatable to women. The lines were therefore always a little blurred to me since there was so little stigma surrounding physical contact between women.
From kisses behind the high school it quickly escalated to making out, hair stroking, boob touching and over the pants rubbing at parties. I was still naïve and thought that sex only meant being penetrated by an erect penis so I don’t know when it went from playing around to full on sex, but it happened organically and felt good. I’ve never seen any reason to define my sexuality although I know, strictly speaking, that I don’t fit in on either end of the spectrum. Despite my past sexual encounters, till this day I’ve only had romantic relationships with men. But that’s also down to statistics, there are just simply more men into women than lesbians around.
Our individual desires are more important than basic biology, communication is the key to sexual satisfaction
Women, just like men, are as different as they are many and once you figure out what one likes you simply cannot apply it to everyone. Sex is represented, from religion to pornography, for male pleasure and I sympathize with men, female genitalia and sexual pleasure is a mystery our society rarely likes to discuss. Women can take much longer to get aroused and reach an orgasm, which is often ignored altogether in heterosexual sex and pornography. When women have sex with each other they are focusing on female pleasure, sexual encounter may take longer and, regardless of what girl-on-girl pornography may portray for men, not involve penetration. This innate knowledge to locate the clitoris does give women an unfair advantage when it comes to pleasing other women. Nevertheless, that may only be applicable when compared to sexual encounters between heterosexual individuals that lack sexual maturity because learning what your sexual partner likes as an individual is far more important than simply applying your knowledge of basic biology.
Contrary to popular belief, a woman is not going to be able to satisfy a heterosexual woman in the strictest definition of that term. I’ve learned that from both the industry and my personal life. Girl-on-girl action has become popular amongst women to attract males, even amongst those who will close their eyes, hold their breath and go to the happy place in their head during the experience. It certainly isn’t sexually satisfying for anyone involved and scrunching your face like someone just farted isn’t visually pleasing for the spectator either. Sex is about much more than biology, it is about connection, attraction and individual desires. Heterosexual sex is often illustrated in various media to be quick, convenient and straightforward with a clear male dominance but I know from my years in the adult entertainment industry that many readers will not identify with that representation and there is no way of fully defining heterosexual or homosexual sex. Learning what your sexual partner likes is the key to satisfying them and it is good to remember that a satisfied person is eager to come back for more!
With performers, crew and careful editing things are more likely to run smoothly on screen than in reality
Pornography is made for the audience, not the performer. Spending hours filming in uncomfortable positions, performing acts that look good for the camera doesn’t allow for much pleasure. Pornography is a fantasy that can be very hard to relate into the bedroom and vis versa. When girl-on-girl porn is made for a male audience this is more often than not the case, by sometimes ignoring the clitoris altogether and heavily focus on penetration instead. It is true that women can be stimulated by penetration, and yes sex toys for such acts are shaped like penises because that’s the shape that fits the vagina, but girl-on-girl pornography falsely portrays lesbians as hungry for cock, even having them give blowjobs to dildos.
But, with more female directors and more porn being tailored for lesbian audience there is nowadays a great selection of realistic girl-on-girl scenes with focus on female pleasure. To achieve this, it is important that the performers enjoy girl-on-girl sexual acts and they can even bring their own experience from the bedroom onto the screen. Personally I prefer these realistic scenes although performing the more cliché roles can also be a lot of fun. Pornography is for entertainment purposes and I wouldn’t recommend it as a learning platform, especially since with performers, crew and careful editing things are more likely to run smoothly on screen than in reality, but it certainly can arouse fantasies that may spice things up in the bedroom. Sharing fantasies, experimenting with them and role playing can be a lot of fun! Ultimately communication is the key to a happy and healthy sex life.
