Interview with Fashion Babe Jassy Chang

Hi Jassy, it’s a great pleasure to feature you on SimplySxy. Please share with our readers a little about yourself and where you’re from?

I am from Taiwan originally, grew up in Shanghai and Malaysia, now I am back in Shanghai working in an advertising agency and travel around.

How will you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is pretty simple actually. Either I go with super sporty look or it’s all about hip-hop. But how I dressed normally is mainly casual hiphop and a little sexy sometimes; shorts, tank top, Diva red lipstick from Mac, hair band and a pair of Tims. That’s definitely my typical look. And of course I care about my shoes a lot. Sneakers especially! I like to play around with many styles, express how I feel everyday, depending on the occasions.

Do you have any hobbies?

I like to travel. Living in a busy city missed out a lot of great nature out there. So when I have holidays or any free time, I would take a random trip just to go out somewhere to feel alive. Beaches, jungles, and mountains etc.. There are so much more things to explore and observe, trying out many different kind of foods and experiencing multiple culture around the world is something you don’t learn from a book or work.

Which is your preferred side when taking selfies?

Right side. Because of my dimple, I only have one on the right.

How picky are you when it comes to food?

I am not very picky about food, but there are many limitations. No beef, spicy, pineapple, lamb, duck. Each of them has my own reason, but these things make me a picky person.

If you had the opportunity to change one thing in the world, what will it be?

Sexism. I have seen cases and decisions were made because of a person’s gender. I do not see how gender could affect a result or get involve with any type of situations. Because we are all humans, technically we are all the same living in this world. Women are no difference from men; whatever men could achieve, so do women.

Where do you wish to travel next?

Greece! I could only imagine it’s like heaven out there, peaceful and beautiful.

Thank you for taking your time to answer our questions on SimplySxy. One question before we end, how do you define “sexy”? 

Being confident of yourself and really understand who you are or what you want is sexy. For me sexy is not about dressing style or how much make up you wear, it’s more about the experienced you had in your life and things you have gone through, and that is how you became a better person. Once you get that “vibe” right, you are good to go. There is no right or wrong about sexy. Everyone sees it in a different way, and all women should embrace themselves to be someone powerful and independent.
